If you want to be notified for each mention then you'll have to install TryNinja's [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) as that's the best option for you. Once you install that bot and after that anyone who mentions your name in a thread or post then you'll get notified for that mention.

That's the best way to see all the mentions that you get in threads or posts and you won't miss a mention with that bot. The best thing about TryNinja's bot is that it's complete free and open-source and you an add changes or extra features in it if you know software development. If you really want to see that who tags you or calls you in a thread or a post then install that bot and you're good to go. The ones who see that thing automatically are most probably using TryNinja's bot or they have made their own bots.

You'll also get notified if someone sends merit/merits to your post and you know the more merits you get the more dopamine you'll have. If you want to have dopamine plus all those extra feature then install TryNinja's bot and trust me you'll love the experience. Best of luck!
1802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was ripped off on: October 17, 2023, 04:26:18 PM
You really for ripped off buddy and you can't do anything because Bitcoin transactions are irreversible. Electrum is that wallet that people use to deposit their Bitcoin or send those Bitcoin to someone else and all the transactions of Bitcoin are irreversible whether send via Electrum or any other wallet. That type of scams are common these days and on this forum we always warn Bitcoin users from such kind of scams in order to promote awareness to the users so they can be careful with their transactions.

Even if you have the wallet address of the scammer or the transaction ID (TXID), it will still not be possible for you to regain your Bitcoin if he/she has used a wallet like Electrum. Most Bitcoin users and unfortunately scammers know about such wallet software and they don't really store their Bitcoin on addresses that exchange provide. It'll be almost impossible for you to get your money back. I'm sorry for you loss buddy! Next time be careful when sending Bitcoin to anyone because once the transaction got confirmations then there is no way tor reverse it.
1803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife. on: October 17, 2023, 04:17:11 PM
Ah, man that's why they say that love is blind but I'm happy to see that you have completed your promise. These days girls are more smart than boys and they know about everything. Bitcoin isn't any hidden secret as information about it is available everywhere, and that's the reason she knew about it when you told her about it. We have Bitcoin on media, social media, and everyone has been talking about it these days and when halving event gets closer more people will learn about it via social media and TV channels.

You gave her half of your investment which's really something new to hear from a Bitcoin investor. It's really hard to share your Bitcoin investment with anyone and even people don't share about it with their partner but you have taken a good step and I really appreciate your efforts. It's also nice to know that your wife think similar to other Bitcoin investors as holding is the key for Bitcoin investors because each halving event adds value into Bitcoin. I'm not married yet but when I get married then surely I'll try to discuss about Bitcoin with my wife and maybe I share some of my holdings with her.
1804  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 17, 2023, 04:21:50 AM
Did anyone saw that spike of 29.3k$ ?

It just went up 1k and came down within an hour.

I haven't saw that spike myself because it was a really fast one but it caused some momentum in the market and that's very important for us. Ah, no matter if it was because of a fake news but still the Bitcoin's price got higher and it's currently higher than it used to be. I was expecting that we'll soon see Bitcoin at $28k or above levels and now it's already trading at a price that's higher than $26k, so yeah its price is being appreciated each day. Who knows that if it's the first glance of the next bull run that we all are expecting eagerly to take place during or after 2024's halving event. Let's see how high we will see the value of Bitcoin in upcoming days and if it goes above $30k then that will be a really great sign for us.
1805  Other / Meta / Re: Why did a mod delete my posts from 7-2 months ago that didn't violate any rules? on: October 17, 2023, 04:10:57 AM
I just got on my bitcointalk account and saw I had a bunch of messages saying a mod deleted my posts from 7-2 months ago. None of these posts look like they violate any rules so I thought it was odd. Is there any reason for this?

Low quality posts are often reported by the users because they are mostly considered as spam by those users and when moderators get the reports and go through those posts and find them as spam as well then they delete those posts. Your post were one liner posts and most of the one liner posts are done by the new users because they want to increase their activity with those posts. But, like Philipma1957 has said that your posts weren't too bad, however, I still recommend you to expand your posts a little if you have more information about a topic.

It's not necessary to be extra knowledgeable to expand your posts from one liner to somewhat well structured. You just have to focus more on reading and it's really necessary to read as many posts in a thread as possible before making your posts. Look we all are here for the purpose of learning and then sharing our knowledge in the form of threads and replies and if someone knows more then that user can create well-structured posts.
1806  Economy / Gambling / Re: l0tt0.com on: October 16, 2023, 08:26:16 PM
Well, i am not a high roller, in fact, all the money I've spent playing on L0tt0 was out was Dewez's generosity, and i even made some profit from it, i was actually tempted to use the fast option while withdrawing from the casino one time, I changed my mind just when I was about to click the confirm withdrawal button. So, i think its not a feature for the high rollers alone, any player can use it, it all depends on how fast the player needs his or her withdrawal transaction on the blockchain network to be processed.

And talking about when Bitcoin faces a network congestions which often leads to extremely high transaction fees, what I think as a solution for this is either to implement a lightening network to the casino, or implement the ability to deposit and withdraw bitcoin from through other blockchain networks like Ethereum, Binance smart chain, Tron network and so on, some of us think may think bitcoins outside its native chain a shitcoin, but like it or not, this is a solution and may still serve in times when the bitcoin native chain faces such congestions as what we have experienced in times past .

You're right the option is in fact available for all users but I guess high-rollers will use it more during market congestion as they want to withdraw their Bitcoin as soon as they possibly can and they don't really worry about high fees. I guess a normal player will still wait for withdrawals even during the market congestion time and I believe they may not do any withdrawals during such times.

If I'm not wrong then in current state L0tt0 is devoted to Bitcoin only and maybe in future Dewez might add other altcoins. As far as I know Dewez wants a transparent KYC-free, and without delay casino that most probably accepts Bitcoin for deposit and withdrawals because of its decentralized nature. However, it's up-to him that either he may add other crypto-currencies in future or not. I think those payment options should only be available during the network congestion times if Dewez implement those into L0tt0.com.
1807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Magical Is The Magic Money ? - Bitcoin on: October 16, 2023, 07:57:12 PM
It's not fair to call yourself a bank because we aren't doing those shady things that most of the banks have been doing with their account holders. Satoshi introduced Bitcoin because he really didn't like the traditional banking system which was controlled by a few people. The banks have been controlling us and our money for a long time and now after the introduction of Bitcoin we have got an option which isn't controlled by anyone. But still unfortunately we will have to rely on banks in order to purchase Bitcoin and that's a bitter truth.

The volatility of Bitcoin is very high and you're right that because of its volatility investors and traders can make a lot of profit out of it. Most of the investors usually don't care much about the volatility of Bitcoin because they mainly buy it and hold it for decades and we call those investors as Hodlers. A few investors want to earn a lot of profits within 2-5 years and those investors usually accumulate Bitcoin during bear market and sell it during bull market.

Ah, another point I would let you know is that you can't approve your own Bitcoin transactions. The miners are the ones who approve those transactions by adding those in the next blocks. If you had that power then you maybe able to call yourself as a magician but my friend the miners are doing the thing for us. Well, still I must say that you have shared some good information about Bitcoin and I recommend you to learn more about it by regularly visiting this forum and reading the posts of the reputed members.
1808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about trading feature? on: October 16, 2023, 05:55:45 PM
Binary is more or less gambling so for such i wont be surprised to see the feature being implemented on Bc.game or any other casinos coming up with the development, sometime it hjusta a line between gambling and trading and the two can co-exist without any form of a problem and is a good addition to the catalogue of exchange.

I agree with you, binary options trading isn't trading at all but a type of gambling. No one is smart enough in trading to get perfect ups and downs and in binary options trading we have to guess instead of having any strategy. In fact most of the Binary options brokers are known for their shady ways that allow them to manipulate the reds and greens in order to ruin traders trades and they are known for such shady manipulations.

I hope that something like that may not happen with the similar games that bc.game offers but it's similar in nature then best of luck to get ruined. I will once again say that such kind of trading has nothing to do with the trading that we do and it's just another pure version of gambling thing that bc.game added on their system.

1809  Other / Meta / Re: I found something interesting on the forum! on: October 16, 2023, 05:15:34 PM

When you check the 'Always stay logged in' option on the login page, you might think it means you will stay logged in for infinity, but it actually keeps you logged in for exactly 3153600 minutes.

How I found this?: I noticed '3153600' display after a failed login attempt due to a captcha failure.

I am not sure if many people here already know about this, but it feels like I have discovered a hidden secret. (I don't found any discussion related to that number)

If that's true then we may be logged in for at least 6 years which's more than enough I guess. Most of the members even haven't spend 6 years on the forum and I believe that it would be really difficult task for someone to use their same computer with same settings for 6 years. I'm a person who renews his operating system every 6 months or less and I login once again and check that "Always stay logged" option again.

I'm quite sure that most of the users does that because that's needed for the security of the system. There may be very few users who have been logged in a system for more than 6 years in fact I think there might be no such users. That option allow us to stay logged in for many days and that's enough for most of us. I have not been logged out for many days and when I get logged out it's simple to login again.
1810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? Selling all or not on: October 16, 2023, 04:52:36 PM
Well, I recommend you to sell most of your Bitcoin at $100k or above if next bull run crosses that mark. It's a good idea to sell your Bitcoin during bull run because after a bull market we will see another bear market. Who knows in the next bear market Bitcoin may go as low as $50k or $55k and if goes that low then you can buy more Bitcoin during the next bear market.

I think it's not worthy to hold your Bitcoin during the bull market as they can drop in value when bear market starts. At some time we will have to sell off some of our Bitcoin and if you really want to hold your Bitcoin for longer term then you really don't have to sell those Bitcoin during bull market.

Some investors are thinking about holding their Bitcoin for long term and those investors basically hold their Bitcoin for decades and they really don't care about the conditions of the market. Those investors think that Bitcoin could reach values as high as $5M to $10M and their belief is so firm that they will never sell below those values.

We do not support VPNs, and using one will be at your own risk. We won't be held responsible for any issues you may encounter due to using a VPN.

Why Sherbet prohibits so many countries? Many other casinos allow users from most of those countries but I'm amazed to see that Sherbet is prohibiting so many countries users from using the services. I agree with the VPN part as using of VPN is unnecessary on a casino site and most of the casinos don't like VPN users because the VPN users are mostly from restricted countries and they won't be able to complete their KYC as well.

~Snip~
Sounds very interesting, but what will happen when bitcoin fees start to go super high again in next bull run?
Minute payout can turn into hour or days payout very easy on mainnet.

Thats out of my control. But you will have a transaction ID in a minute. We do have two withdrawal options, Slow and Fast. The fast fee is calculated by two block confirmations. So during those times of high fees, you'll just have to pay more and you'll get your money in 10-20 minutes.

Well, I think that's a really amazing feature which will work really well during network congestion times. With high fees the users will get priority withdrawals and soon they'll get their Bitcoin into their wallets. The network congestion isn't an internal issue of L0tt0 but still the high fees is a great option during such times for priority withdrawals. I believe that high-rollers might use that feature even if network is stable as they want to receive their money as soon as possible.

photo upload site

The longer the Bitcoin Bear Market,

The bigger the Bitcoin Bull Market!

Why you added photo upload site? Is that a new type of source reference?

I guess were are not yet sure that how long this bull market will be but if it will be longer than the previous one then we may see many crypto-millionaires.  We all want the bull market to stay for long times but unfortunately sometimes our expectations can't be a part of reality.

1814  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 12/07/2023 on: October 15, 2023, 05:30:51 PM
Not even a day has passed, and @zasad@ has already caught up with @lovesmayfamilis in terms of the number of merits and became the second participant in the bestchange signature campaign (in terms of the number of merits), for which I congratulate him. It’s surprising that no one has congratulated him during this time. This is a notable forum participant and they could have paid attention to this achievement earlier, however.

Congratulations to @lovesmayfamilis and @zasad for achieving 4000 merits mark.

Email From MetaMask Scam Alert
Dear Friends,
I received this email and I know this is a scam I am sharing this here because anyone can receive these kind of emails so don't open any link otherwise this email can be from hackers and they can steal your funds. So be careful.
Here is the Email which I received.

So be careful about these kind of scam. Thanks.

You should be careful from such mails as they as sent by scammers in order to steal our coins. Most of us fall into such traps because we don't really look at the URL of the site and download software from those unknown websites basically they are phishing sites. Another user has reported such type of scam a few months ago where he also shared the scam information with the community.

Here's the link of the thread where Nwada001 shared information about a similar MetaMask scam: Scam targeting Metamask wallet user's

These scammers often use fake URL's in order to steal coins of the user's. The official URL of MetaMask is https://metamask.io/ and if the site which you visited has a different URL than that's 100% a phishing site set by scammers. It's always needed to check the URL of the page before entering any sensitive information and unfortunately most of us don't really give much importance to URL and just see in inner contents of a site and that's why those malicious people get success with their negative activites.
1816  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary Members Spread Completely Fake Information - Merit System Do Not Work on: October 15, 2023, 05:14:22 PM
Hell yeah!!  I could never stand retail pharmacy, and my best years were as a hospital pharmacist.
In the hospital setting you actually put your brain and education to use.

In retail pharmacy you're free and you provide guidance to many people about drugs but in that field most of the pharmacists are for revenue purpose I guess, but as a hospital pharmacist we basically help people with our education and support them with drugs for free as the drugs are funded by government. I'm quite sure the hospital pharmacists are doing the same thing all over the world.

Man, retail pharmacy is also a good job I guess because there are less restrictions in that area and we can have some rest every once in a while but as hospital pharmacists we'll have to serve patients at hospital. Sometimes a hospital pharmacist has to serve patients on festival days when the hospitals are officially off, but the emergency work is always there for hospital pharmacists. Let's discuss further about it in PM as it's going somewhat off-topic here!

All this is evidence that merit system do not work and is useless.
You only gave one example of one topic and one legendary member. There are many other legendary members in this forum who dedicate their time to only sharing correct information and not involving themselves in discussions that they do not know much about. The number of these kind of legendary members far outnumber the unconcerned ones sharing wrong information and talking on topics where they have little knowledge.

Well, that's true and basically the merit system was implemented to ward-off the account farmers and spammers and it has nothing to do with a member's rank. The ones who receive air-dropped merits were basically active members of the forum before the merit system was implemented and the received those air-dropped merits as reward for their presence and activity on the forum.

The OP seems to be highly against the merit system but he/she doesn't know that how good the merit system is and how much it improved the forum. It's because of the merit system the account farming stopped otherwise we might still had so many account farmers who would be posting useless spam or 1 liner posts in order to rank their accounts up. Ah, actually in present days they wouldn't be doing that spamming themselves but set a number of bots that might be doing that shit for them.
1817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If only property I have is bitcoin on: October 15, 2023, 04:39:01 PM
It's not a good thing to tell anyone about your Bitcoin investment and If you tell your seed phrase to someone in your family then that person can transfer all Bitcoin from your wallet without your permission.

As we all know that everyone has differing levels of greed and maturity and that's why it's always better to keep your seed phrase secret. If you have to tell someone about your Bitcoin investment then you may have to choose someone who's really a responsible member of your family.

You may give some clues about your investment to all family members whom you want to have a share from your investment but don't share your Private key or seed phrase just because you think that life can end anytime. We always live with hope and I believe it's hope which is making us to have such investments.

You should only tell the most trusted person in your family about your Bitcoin investment and if you're married and you have children then you can give a clue about your investment to your wife and tell her to never share the information with anyone. But, still you should not share your seed phrase but give her a clue that how you have saved your Bitcoin. The clue can be a written paper kept in your private locker and she may have it if you die suddenly.
1818  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is doubling your investment more probable than we think? on: October 15, 2023, 02:51:42 PM
Well, that's not a bad speculation I guess and surely Bitcoin will reach $50k within a year. But, we expect more from Bitcoin and that's why we are so optimistic about its price going above $90k and some of us even believe that it may reach $120k price mark in 2024-2025. I have mix thoughts about Bitcoin's price as sometimes I think it will reach $100k while other times I think it will reach and cross $120k. Surely it will reach a new ATH during the coming bull run but nobody yet knows that how intense this bull run will be. We'll have to wait for the future to see that happening.
1819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Distinguishing Between Bitcoin Halving And Crypto Burn on: October 15, 2023, 12:10:44 PM
In simple terms the coin burning is the step used by other altcoins to fool out the investors so they can invest more into those useless altcoins and nothing else. Bitcoin halving is the proper mechanism that's implemented in Bitcoin from its launch and it works automatically without anyone's interference. The halving takes places once in 4 years while altcoins can burn their number anytime because they are being controlled by the creators while Bitcoin isn't being controlled by anyone.

I contacted them on Telegram and suggested using escrow...

As you can see I picked a trusted bitcointalk profile as escrow but he invited his own scammy lookalike account into the escrow group chat.
I'm an idiot for sending him 105$ in BTC like this... His fraud is revealed now I hope more is found out and he's fully exposed.
Greatful for any help.

To the scammer, please return my money...

Kindly take my words personally, you deserve to get lose your money because you did something which is totally unacceptable in this forum. You can see that you get some negative trust because of your actions. It's really not fair to buy an account from an account farmer and then use it in order to participate in signature campaigns. You both have similar mindset because you were trying to scam other by getting a ranked account and he scammed because he knew about you greed.

If he's a scammer and you're also not less than a scammer, and I believe a scammer scammed another scammer and in this scamming game an escrow was also added which turned out to be a scammer. I don't feel bad for you because you were doing a wrong thing, however you have done a good job by reporting that scammer so other newbie member will get awareness about such scams.
