Yes its nice but honestly its not worth the hassle at all unless you want some satoshi to play around with. Maybe in some 3rd world country its worth going thru all that trouble for fractions of a penny.
18022  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Games Player vs Player on: April 14, 2015, 10:02:51 AM
The only one I can think of that is reliable is basically that PvP from PrimeDice.

There were a few others but they shut down because you could very easily cheat.
18023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RyanPumper is a scammer. Why the fuck is he STILL not banned ? on: April 14, 2015, 06:25:30 AM
He actually reminds me of Timothy Sykes. For those of you who don't know he has a similar program but only for penny stocks. Ryans and his writing style are almost identical.

In my opinion, they are both genius marketers but probably very bad traders. They basically rely on newbies who they can convince they can get rich just buy playing the stock market.

I feel bad for the OP but we have all been there. I am not surprised he didn't offer you a refund. They never do. They always write it in the disclaimer somewhere stating "I'm not a investment professional... this is just for entertainment purposes...etc etc".

18024  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 67 Weeks Until... on: April 14, 2015, 05:20:01 AM
Its hard to say.

By next year the price of BTC might be double or triple of what it is now and it will still be proifitable. Or the block halving will reduce the difficulty by half.

What it should do is make the price of BTC increase at least.
18025  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Newest Diff thread April 5 to April 18th on: April 14, 2015, 05:17:54 AM
Well nicehash pay has went down quite a bit.  It appears people are returning to mining btc.  Below is current bitwisdom:

Bitcoin Difficulty:    49,446,390,688
Estimated Next Difficulty:    48,637,535,481 (-1.64%)
Adjust time:    After 781 Blocks, About 5.5 days

yep quite a bit jumped back .

I did not see this happening so soon but going back down a little:

Bitcoin Difficulty:    49,446,390,688
Estimated Next Difficulty:    48,482,949,723 (-1.95%)
Adjust time:    After 758 Blocks, About 5.4 days

with 63% of this set of blocks done it becomes hard to go up a lot. I think some left the TRON coin and started to bring the numbers up.
I think people like me nearing the summer and close to the profit margin turned some gear off.

This summer I may only night mine to cut costs a bit.

Unless you live in an apartment I see no reason to shut off mining gear in the summer. Just put it in a room you don't use and open the window and shut the door.

18027  Economy / Gambling / Re: RE : BinaryBase.co | Binary Options | 100% First Deposit Bonus on: April 13, 2015, 11:44:12 PM

All this chatter of FortuneJack & SecondsTrade..

..But why waste time gambling with risky house-biased bets on binary options platforms when you can simply trade/invest intelligently, longer-term, in the widest assortment of world markets instruments available on any anonymous bitcoin-based trading/gambling venue on the web??

LOL! I love how you just tried promoting your 1broker referral. Either that or you are tryin to get hits from a Google search engine listing.

LOL! I love how ignorant you are being. He is trying to say there are other things than stupid ass gambling scams. You have a narrow mind.

LOL! I lov how Mist replied to this using the guy's same words right back @ him, w/ such delicious trollish flavor in the morning <3

I didn't try, btw. It worked - much to my surprise, honestly - someone here actually signed up for 1Br the very same hour I posted my original comment, & I've been getting referral rewards from it ever since, totalling 0.004 so far (0.0001 accruing each time) for several dozen trades I would guess. Thanks! Much appreciated Wink

It's a lot easier indeed, as Mist suggested, to set pending trades on forex/CFD platforms, have a significant leisure of time to close the position at profit, & even be able to set take-profit/stop-loss triggers, than it is to watch a binary options GUI like a hawk trying to snap up the perfect millisecond option strike entry while market price whiplashes at high speeds, & get screwed anytime a rogue movement sends the price against you at the last second.

When binary-gambling, you're fighting not only the price but also the clock, to compound the challenge, in the quest for extreme +70-75% option payouts from even the slightest favorable fluctuation. When trading, you're struggling to predict the price movement, but time is generally on your side - because you sagely accept, pending good outcomes, receiving gains solely based on the actual amount of price fluctuation, not some artificially-set extreme option payout - obvious to see this would be easier to do successfully, than binary options.

As long as you're setting pending trades for large chart timeframes & at very low leverage values (under 1:20 for currency pairs, under 1:5 for stocks/indices/commodities), once your trade gets filled, you have almost no chance of losing, and eventually, sooner or later, it should give you a chance to close it for some gains. You'll pay minimal financing daily at 5:00pm EST (under ~0.4% at those leverage values^ - Far, far less than the swap fees on e.g. a BitFinex BTCUSD leveraged long position).

There are some instantely when its worth buying binary options instead of the underlining instrument. The most obvious being important support and resistance levels. Its smarter with options because the max you can lose is the option but if the market is illiquid in one period, you can get major slippage and lose alot. But this is a rare occasional. Happens maybe a few times a day.
18028  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing DustDice.com (beta) on: April 13, 2015, 06:21:30 AM
Its nice and very clean and most of all there are no server errors like most new gambling sites but I wish there was a way to play for free just to try it out.

How did it become so popular all of a sudden in such little time?
18029  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive KNCMiner Saturn/Jupiter Setup on: April 13, 2015, 06:17:34 AM
Hello!  I just purchased a used Saturn KNCMiner and am wondering if I can add 2 more boards to it?  The chassis certainly has the room and the controller has open connectors.

Thanks for any suggestions or cautions.

Yes you can add up to 6 actually.
18030  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Newest Diff thread April 5 to April 18th on: April 13, 2015, 06:14:29 AM
Basically the people renting the hashrate late, or the people buying the coin at a high price.

Zero sum game.

18031  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Newest Diff thread April 5 to April 18th on: April 12, 2015, 11:12:09 PM
https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty  (-2.71%)

https://www.nicehash.com/?p=allorders  has 4.4ph all at 0.0149 vs 'norm' of 0.0102

It is like someone read my early posts and decided to show just how to drop btc diff.

This new coin is Tron  classic pump and  dump I would guess 3.4ph of the 4.4 ph rented on nice hash right now is mining this coin.

Maybe we can get lucky  and the Tron coin pushes nicehash to .0200  and drops btc diff 5%

According to the pool, the net hashrate for that coin is 12Ph/s at times.

18032  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S4 Quieter fans? on: April 12, 2015, 11:10:08 PM
Good Day All,

I bought an S4 miner and almost got evicted because of the fan noise so I decided to re-sell it back to ebay; however, I am conflicted and badly wanted to mine bitcoin more so I can pay my bills while saving my money for masters program. I am wondering is there a DIY manual to change the S4's fan and what kind of fan type do I have to buy that have low dbm and as silent as S3's fan so that my land lord who lives in the first floor won't complain.

Thanks in advance,
johncban

I guess it depends on what you want.  As far as most quiet miner the Avalon 4.1 nothing has came near it on quietness. And I have tested a lot of miners, but yes with this one you pay a premium. -  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1008726.0

Thanks for replying notlist3d,

I would like to ditch the PSU currently I have 2 S3+ and an external PSU seems a head ache because my place didn't have enough space. Plus I need to reduce the configuration time; however, thanks for the info I will keep that in my list to buy if I cannot upgrade the S4 fan.

Respectfully,
johncban

Try downclocking the S4. But I think the S4 is the loudest miners out there. Don't know if downclocking will do anything.
18033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRON] Positron - Fair Ninja Launch - Dynamic POS - 4.09% of BTC Nethash on: April 12, 2015, 09:27:59 PM
How does this Dynamic POS work exactly?

Quote
Block 2700 to 4000
   20 TRON
   +30000 total

Does it mean if I own 1 Coin from block 2700 to 4000, I would get +20 coins extra?

18034  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Nano - Stick Mining Fun! on: April 12, 2015, 08:58:35 PM
Didn't think there was a market anymore for USB miners.

Isn't GekkoScience trying to launch a similar product?
18035  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New Bitmain Products? S4+ and S7? on: April 12, 2015, 06:56:25 PM
I was told they would be announcing them shortly, a few weeks ago, why are they not out yet? Do you think they are waiting to sell out of S5s and S3+?

@Bitmain - Please let us know I'd like to get in line to pick up a few of each.

You were told wrong. I do no expect S6 till mid summer. Look at BTC price, who s gonna invest milions into development and sale of something which s not in demand. You said it yourself, they cant sell out these older miner ATM.

:

I was tolD VIA Facebook from bitmain:
ME: March 20th, 10:28pm
When will S6 or C2 come out? I want to get more TH but I wont buy S5/C1 since they are end of production
BITMAIN: March 23rd, 12:01am
Hi Evan, in about two weeks we will be releasing an upgraded version of the S4, called the S4+, which has the same size/design specs as the original S4 but uses our newer generation of chips, for a higher hashrate and better power efficiency. We are actually skipping the S6 model number, and the new S7 model should be available in June or July of this year. Hope this helps, let us know if you have any more questions.

Why didn't they call it the S6 then if it has new chips?

The S3 and S3+ have both the same chips.
18036  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide+Review] Prospero X-1.5. Up to 0.72W/GHs. Perfect for newbies! on: April 12, 2015, 08:30:20 AM
Nice LCD screen on the unit. But it being 1W/Ghash and only 150Gh/s its useless for most people.

18037  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS - Innosilicon A2 Terminator 88+Mh/s asic scrypt miner on: April 12, 2015, 05:35:11 AM
You should just take the 1.5 BTC.

Look what is happening to LTC

18038  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 2 Brand new Black Arrow Porspero X1 stand alone miners for sale on: April 12, 2015, 05:33:30 AM
I like the color LCD. Too bad its only 100Gh/s
18039  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Newest Diff thread April 5 to April 18th on: April 12, 2015, 05:31:15 AM
We wouldn't benefit doing block withholding in any way.

But evil miners could do that with modified mining software. Every pool is prone to this kind of attack, not only rentals.

If there was a (simple) way to detect such activity of miners, we would already have it implemented. We believe that is the negative issue of current pooled mining concept.

Its weird how people are paying 20% over BTC right now at Nicehash just to mine BTC directly.

Currently the price is 0.012300 Th/BTC/Day. And they aren't mining an altcoin but BTC itself.

Wow I am surprised on price what is happening?  I cant think of any release on coins to make it so much.

Its due to TRON coin. Which was launched today. Currently 7 Ph/s is mining it at the moment.

The coin looks like a total scam to me. No idea why the hype.

What are those? KNC Jupiter modules? or Neptunes?
