Its crazy how fast the difficulty rose on this coin.
Just crazy. Can't mine it even anymore by solo.

We wouldn't benefit doing block withholding in any way.
But evil miners could do that with modified mining software. Every pool is prone to this kind of attack, not only rentals.
If there was a (simple) way to detect such activity of miners, we would already have it implemented. We believe that is the negative issue of current pooled mining concept.
Its weird how people are paying 20% over BTC right now at Nicehash just to mine BTC directly. Currently the price is 0.012300 Th/BTC/Day. And they aren't mining an altcoin but BTC itself.

Did you get ROI with an Cloud mining service? Or some ASIC?
Maybe be more specific.
I got ROI from various old hardwares S3 and KNC Jupiters, etc.

Currently they cost around $3000 or so. They are good miners your only enemy isn't the difficulty but the price of LTC/BTC. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi62.tinypic.com%2F2iqik2b.png&t=663&c=P6V5lPFAebEFHQ)

Is it just the blades?
Probably and that's CRAZY expensive.
|
|
|
You really are better off just downclocking your S3 to 200Mhz so it hashes at 400Gh/s and runs very quiet then you are buying 2 expensive fans.
In the long run ,its the cheaper alternative for the S3.

I recently purchased a bfl monarch for 1.75BTC(Nothing I know but its the concept here) this was the first and only time I will have ever trusted someone trading in BTC on Ebay. Anyway he refused to ship and never confirmed my payment.
He has multiple user names and accounts but they are all from: Montgeron, France
Just a heads up to everyone!
How did you pay ? By Paypal?

Bitmain has zero pressure to do anything besides maximize their return on their current S5 miner. They have zero serious competition at the moment, and seem to be able to produce and sell S5's "from stock". While they don't infinite pricing power, they can even tinker with prices enough to maximize their total income from the S5 product. They are only going to make N (pick your value for N) S5's, hence they want to maximize N*Price, don't they? If in a few months if they still have some S5's, they can have a "fire sale, an S5 for $250 quantity one".
While the Avalon box is nice, it's price is still well above Bitmain's price for the S5.
at this stage production cost is a huge factor. IIRC the SP20 cost spondoolies >$400 to build, and even as a very stripped-down design, the S5 probably still costs bitmain $300/unit or so to produce. As long as bitcoin price stays between $220-280/BTC, difficulty will stagnate as any new gear simply offset 1w/GH stuff going offline. But if BTC goes to something like $400, these units will start selling like crazy and difficulty could quickly spiral upwards. Its likely the reason why larger farms are selling coins rather than holding them You are forgetting that a miner in Israel can cost much more to build then a miner in China. S5 could cost as low as $50 to build as long as they order the parts in massive quantities.

I am sure the S4+, S6, S7 are already built but at the moment they are making too much money with the S5. There is no reason what so ever to release anything new.

Yes shipping just the blades itself will cost around $20 alone to ship.
So unless you can find someone who wants to donate their blades you are better off finding an S1 locally somewhere.

if you did 0.0101 price you would grab all this which adds up to 1035 if you set at 1000 it may go a bit over the 1000gh. if you use fixed you can't be bumped but price is a bit higher. I am a coffee type guy and stay up late so I look for bargains. My rental at nice hash was just under .49btc and was for 0.0098 btc a true deal under what the going rate is. of course I still need kano blocks to be hit. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fimagizer.imageshack.us%2Fv2%2F1024x768q90%2F633%2F4yLJN6.png&t=663&c=KZrkkdeH9pQx-g) I don't understand why you are paying a premium to mine BTC on another pool? I don't see it as being profitable in any way.

It probably isn't banned right now in most parts of the world because Bitcoin is pretty new. BUt eventually if it keeps gaining popularity then it probably will get banned everywhere.

My record was lost in 15 consecutive times , at this moment I realized we never could win dealer with any method
Yes the point of creating this thread is pointless because there aren't any websites with a 0% house edge. And even if there was a website, it would probably cheat you. Even if it didn't cheat you, your emotions would cause you to lose everything

LOL!
It seems that everybody in here is just voting for their signature campaign. Even though they don't really fully agree that they have the best graphics and design.

Why every time I set the win chance 90%, but I will lost all of my money no more than 10 round? Am I really got a bad lucky?
LOL. I understand the feeling. Sometimes I feel like I am cheated but probability wise I guess its considered normal. Just verify the seeds if you are curious.

A couple Antminer S3 will draw about 800W, so its pretty similar to what you have now.
You should try to downclock it so it uses less power.

I'm using an ASUS 270x and tried --xintensity 1024 and 4096 and -w 64 and 256, but neither option helped me to get over 123 MH/s which I got with the original .cl also. Could you maybe upload your bin file? Here is my bin file https://mega.co.nz/#!nlwkBbDZ!400fwacmkXCmiYBFbCr28pFgQE6jwpsGGMEFRWDABY0 I Have installed 14.11.2 Beta driver and in sgminer directory opencl ddls from 15.3 driver https://mega.co.nz/#!jtwjUIKB!JQsNS4rkTAJEVwtpa8rmjgzbJoZ6pq9gdgSMLebAeIo Nice. I finally get 156Mh/s on my R9 270X. Thanks. The CL file alone didn't work without your DLLs

So, no one has tried to change the voltage regulator(s) in one of these before or knows how to do it? It has been a while now and I haven't seen any more replies to my posts. Just thought I'd try to bump this back up in case anyone else hasn't seen it who might be able to help out. Thanks!
Changing the VRM is not that easy. Even if you could you wouldn't make it any more efficient. It would just overheat and run loud like the S1. Its old technology. Also these chips are the same chips as the S1 not the S3.

so one of my blades dropped off.. i went to checked and found this ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ffarm9.staticflickr.com%2F8805%2F17064397165_e629aa0744_b.jpg&t=663&c=WzJuTXibod0yFg) the s3 wasnt overclocked, im running 2 on a Seasonic X850 with 4 PCI-E cables with 2 ends each so all 8 are filled.. the main ones are at the front and the 2nd ones at the back..so im not running 2 blades on 1 cord. i switched it out to one of those molex adapters for now.. and i put them on 200M. but i dunno what caused that to melt.. it shouldnt have been overloaded. i am fortunate because this psu has 6 8-pin pci-e spots and 5 6-pin molex. so the melted one can be avoided. I don't think you overloaded the PSU. I think there is something wrong with your blade, and it caused a short. If you reconnect that blade, it might melt your PSU again.
