18102  Economy / Speculation / Re: One thing I don't understand about pump and dump ... on: April 08, 2015, 04:57:09 PM
because other whales dump too, if they see a good pump , in the end only noobs's money are sucked into the pump(and perhaps some semi pro is taken as well)

But this still doesn't explain how the price goes back to the starting point. The noobs don't sell in a dump - I think.

If your theory is correct then there is no organic growth at all. The price is all down to trading.

well it's not returning exactly at the same level before the pump, for every pump there is a small correction in price that rise the value by a little

in about 5 years the value is 250, if we start from 0 to today, we can say that bitcoin is rising about 0.15 cent a day
18103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Thought we were having a stable time, what happened a few hours ago? on: April 08, 2015, 04:53:19 PM
it was 227 until yesterday basically, then a little pump(trap i would say) occur, those are whales that does a little pump to suck some fishes's money into it, they try from time to time

everything sub 250 is a must buy right now, it won't fall much further

18105  Economy / Speculation / Re: 21 million Bitcoin on: April 08, 2015, 03:30:12 PM
i can't undertood.

What is dependent bitcoin increase ?

limited supply, interest of people/adoption, luck with various news, there isn't a general rule, but supply and adoption are the most important(45% both i would say, 10% for the rest)
18106  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your price speculation for BTC at the end of 2015? on: April 08, 2015, 03:11:16 PM
i don't know sincerely, but i can't see it surpassing 1k again this year, at least some lucky thing happen, it's all in the hand of the whales right now, if they wantr they can push it pretty easily
18107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin halving on: April 08, 2015, 03:08:07 PM

BTW this thread seems to be more fitting in the mining speculation board.

I think it's speculating more on the impact on the space in general.

It's still quite a way out so I wouldn't want to guess what'll happen. There might be new generations of machinery or miners might go all out to cut costs such as setting up in places with geothermal energy etc.

I would've thought the market would've priced it in long before it happens but you never know.

Is defendly a big deal for farms and big mining operation, either they cut their power consumption and miner cost in halve or the are pretty much done.
They will be done IF btc price won't increase but it may happen and then boom.
But i'm sure smaller miners will have to stop if price won't atleast doule, even better triple! Wink
Also by these sentences you can already see that i belive bitcoin will rise after next halving.

Miners still make a profit at current prices with current hardware and current electricity costs. At least the miners having access to cheap mining equipment and big amounts of electricity. Many smaller miners will turn their equipment off when the halving occurs.

this could lead to a potentially 51%, if the price decrease too much and for much time, because at that point even large farm will turn off their miners, and only the largest farm will prevail resulting in the infamous 51% that we all know

18108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do with my BTC? on: April 08, 2015, 03:04:40 PM
People, just hold on to your coins. Put them in cold storage and wait a couple of years for them to appreciate in value. Just hold them safely and forget about them. Don't panic sell, don't invest. That's it! Smiley

in that way you are not earning more bitcoin, it is safer yes, but it is like gambling, because there is always the possibility that bitcoin don't reach any moon, and stays in the current situation or worse(dies)

the point should be to have more bitcoin too , not just sitting there and waiting for the miracle

Well yeah, but investing the coins is an even bigger gambling. And the biggest gambling you can do is, well, gambling with them. Yeah selling them for FIAT is the safest thing you can do, but why are you in Bitcoin then, to begin with? Wink

at this point with this current value of bitcoin, i see them as equally gambling, it's better to invest at least 50% and keep the rest, this will result in a better chance to rise your capital
18109  Economy / Economics / Re: Traditional Banks and Bitcoin on: April 08, 2015, 03:00:09 PM
what i think is, they are working on their own blockchain technology, there is a possibility that their are making their own crypto yes but only in case the dollar crash i think, otherwise they will stick with it

they surely aren't interested in bitcoin, they see it as a enemy, b seems more true than a
18110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fingerprint private key on: April 08, 2015, 02:50:39 PM
i could see biometric security taking place in the future side by side with bitcoin

retina scanning for private key, would be pretty cool indeed and better than fingerprint
18111  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bye Bye Buttercoin on: April 08, 2015, 02:39:54 PM
Next time they should pick a butter name.

+ who the fuck spends 1.4million in 4 months, of course, if they didnt spend it at all  Tongue
First of all i never heard about this coin.
2nd is that it's REALLY stupid name  for a coin and 3rd one that you're mentioning is bullshit told by them to us...atleast in my eyes.

isn't buttercoin a service and not a name of a coin? they seems to be a trading platform, they are not related with altcoin...
18112  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: There IS a simple way to buy btc using paypal... on: April 08, 2015, 01:53:20 PM
amph .......

yes im sure it works...ive been doing it for months. (and btw, who cares what the 'rules' say....?)

whether you use your paypal debit card or another debit card attached to your paypal acct, youre still using paypal either way...

just be smart & low key......

if you think about it using paypal is useless, i mean if you can have your money on your debit card, why in the hell i should transfer them to paypal? no point really, i'm just risking a chargeback and nothing else

so in the end you don't even need to attach anything just use circle and transfer to your credit/debit

hey rememberme -

who scammed you? paypal? circle? ive been using both together for months and never had a problem....(only people thatve scammed me are some of the dicks on the dark...lol)

If i knew, i would have my money back. They returned their funds, and Paypal put me in debt for it, after even losing the BTC, so double the loss.

this is what i'm talking about, if it was one user on this forum, next time use escrow and don't use paypal with newbie

imho paypal should be used only to buy stuff from big reseller or big merchants, like ebay not for small private business

18114  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Money or Currency on: April 08, 2015, 01:42:12 PM
both because in contrast to the dollar, bitcoin is a store of value currency, the dollar instead isn't

there was a video talking about it

18115  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: exchange from bitcoin to paypal on: April 08, 2015, 01:40:15 PM
I'm new here (obviously), but there is already a proven, verified and reputable way to get Paypal for your bitcoin if you really want/need it...

Just go to virwox; join and trade BTC for SLL, then Trade SLL for USD and withdraw to your papal account. As long as you do a limit order, the fees are reasonable.

SLL is the digital currency they use in the game Second Life. At the time of this post, it is trading at:

$243.60 SLL = $1 USD
$65,819 SLL = $1 BTC

If you do a market trade; it's 50 SLL + 2.9%
Limit Trades start at 3.9% total and go down, depending on the amount of commissions you have already paid to them in the last 30 days.

Of course, this does not account for the 2.9% that Paypal is going to hit you for when the money gets deposited into your Paypal account. But, it has been handy for me when I needed it quick and only takes about 2-3 minutes start to finish to convert the BTC into Available Paypal Funds.

Not sure if this is against the rules here, but if someone want to check it out, here's my affiliate link.....

www.virwox.com?r=d241f

Need all the love I can get! Trying to find income opportunities to pay my way through school...

Thanks and GL

you can do it with circle without paying so much fee, there is a discussion about it here on bitcointalk

funds your circle account, transfer to any cards and then attach that card to paypal
18116  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Escrow registration on: April 08, 2015, 01:37:17 PM
you just need to open a thread and announce it free, add all the informations there about what you are escrowing, how much you will charge ecc...that's it
18117  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Would you guys be interested in an open source automatic escrow ? on: April 08, 2015, 01:35:34 PM
An automatic escrow may be nice, but what people want is an escrow they can trust.
How do you build trust on something automatic?

you do it in the way that it cannot require any further maintenance/modification in the future, this mean no human should be touch it again

and before this, source code should be release for obvious reasons
18118  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Where to buy Bitcoins with PayPal? on: April 08, 2015, 01:31:07 PM
currently using virwox with paypal, Smiley

The virwox fees seem to be quite steep, unfortunately. You end up paying around 20% in fees.

how about this way

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1016881.msg11017833#msg11017833

it seems the best and easy way to do it, you can do it with any card

Thanks for reply. You can also might want to check https://cryptonit.net for a paypal deposit option.

Any critics welcome.

Regards
Edward

i didn't know about that site, thanks to pointing me it

I looked quickly, and deposits fees seems a bit high, especially skrill

btw how fast are withdrawals?

can you add a filter for the stats of the currencies? so i can see only doge investment or only bitcoin investment ecc....

also why 200 hours for 100% investment, when for 1% you need to wait only 1?
18120  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: April 08, 2015, 12:53:16 PM
I'll refill the address now, sorry for the delay!

Payments should go through automatically, if they don't then the coder will make them go through once he's back online. You'll be paid as usual Smiley

still nothing, but i'm patience enough, they will come eventually
