18121  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] EU only, Cointerra TerraMiner IV ~1.6 TH/s on: March 29, 2015, 08:44:31 PM
You probably won't get any more then $100 USD for this VERY VERY LOUD, UNRELIABLE, INEFFICIENT miner

It uses twice the electricity as an SP20 and almost 3 times the electricity as an S5, both of which are less than 430euros

Please send me the 0.01 BTC gift.

18123  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is it illegal for me to sell my Bitcoins? on: March 29, 2015, 02:32:20 PM
SO basically you can't be a market maker but if you make an account at an exchange, sell it there and then withdraw the money , its legal?
18124  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: HELP - My Antminer S2 has a faulty ASIC, can i just remove the faulty card ? on: March 29, 2015, 10:52:41 AM
Hi All

As you can see from pic below chain one has two 'x' on it.

This is causing my hashrate to go VERY random, from 0Gh to 2000Gh !!!!!!

Can i just remove the faulty card and lose 10% off my hashing power ?

Which end of the S3 is it ??

Cheers

Looks like the one completely furthest away from the PSU. Just pull it out.

Searing,

Are you generally drunk or high when you post? Genuinely curious, no offense intended.

LOL. Honestly I thought about asking that question also in the past when reading his posts. I assumed that English wasn't his primarily language.

18127  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / If BTC/USD went to $0.00 tomorrow or diff = ∞ how would it affect you ? on: March 29, 2015, 05:39:15 AM
Suppose hypothetically that tomorrow the price of Bitcoin became $0 due to some blockchain hack or economic event or that for some reason the difficulty went to infinity and you couldn't make a penny mining.

I keep reading many many threads here and I am starting to realise that Bitcoin is becoming much more then a hobby for some. There are people who constantly keep buying new equipment at retail when they pay alot for electricity and still have old unpaid hardware. And yet they still keep buying hardware

I keep seeing people who constantly keep buying more and more Bitcoin on margin or who empty out their 401K and reinvest it into Bitcoin. I see many individuals who max out their credit cards and trying to buy Bitcoin either thru Paypal or some merchants.

For myself. If bitcoin went to $0, I probably would be very sad and a little pissed off. Economically I would be hurt slightly but nothing that would make me suicidal.

How would it work out for you?

18128  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelcoin.com | The New Style Bitcoin Game! on: March 29, 2015, 04:58:09 AM
Yes I don't think this website will survive.

Checking the last wins, there were only 2 bets placed.

Also there should be a "preview" into exactly how the game works before registering.

18129  Economy / Gambling / Re: [POLL]Vote for the best Bitcoin Dice graphic! on: March 29, 2015, 04:56:32 AM

18130  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Beta] 64Blocks ░▒▓ The Social Game! ▓▒░ » Multiplayer on: March 29, 2015, 04:55:31 AM
Its kind of creative but how is it multiplayer exactly when everybody pretty much plays against the house not against each other?
18131  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 mBTC Bonus - Chainroll | The Easiest Dice Game in Bitcoin - 1% House Edge on: March 29, 2015, 04:53:17 AM
SO we get a 1mBTC bonus but how much do we have to roll to be able to withdraw this bonus?

18132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sgminer v5 - optimized X11/X13/NeoScrypt/Lyra2RE/etc. kernel-switch miner on: March 29, 2015, 04:49:48 AM
So i've got my 6870's pulling 1mh each running at 950core 1000mem with worksize 256 --thread-concurrency 8192, Shouldn't they be going a bit faster? Darkcoin kernel

No, its the best you will get. Those old GPUs arent optimized correctly for X11 mining.

18134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is mining altcoins profitable with free electricity? on: March 29, 2015, 04:40:17 AM
Your best bet is to get an S2,S3, KNC Jupiters, DragonMiners, etc. Basically any hardware that is from 0.8-1.2Gh/W which is very cheap.

You can make money with GPU also but its cheaper and faster with SHA256 ASICS.
18135  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: used 3 - 7950's_2 - 280x's 300.00 plus shipping (considering trades for asic sha on: March 29, 2015, 04:34:21 AM
Your best bet is to just sell them locally on Craigslist or Kijiji.

I had a bunch of GPUs and they all sold very fast.

I had people buying them for gaming, video rendering, CAD work, mining, openCL programming, etc. Half the buyer were young kids who wanted it for games.

You can get probably at least $150 each for the 280X. The older gen 7950 should sell also but might take longer, everybody wants to buy current generation hardware.

18136  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 2x Spondoolies SP20 + 3x Antminer S3 - Western Canada on: March 29, 2015, 04:23:43 AM
There was another Albertan in this thread that sold all 8 of his SP20 VERY quickly at $500 Canadian plus shipping, so you should get at least $400 USD for your equipment.

18137  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling bitcoin miners lot of 5 on: March 29, 2015, 04:21:51 AM
I thought I've read it all... But

Some guy is trying to sell a 2.5Gh/s stick miner for like $50, another guy wants $800 for a used S5, some guy just found out that his KNC Titan won't ROI and wants a refund from KNC,  and now this guy wants close to $500 USD for mining equipment that is about 2 years old.

So many "dreamers" lately on the classifieds thread. These people must think that mining equipment are like Apple iPhones or Honda Civics and don't depreciate.

Seriously just take the $40 or throw that dinosaur equipment in the garage and save yourself the hassle of having to pack it up and ship it.

18138  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB Spnondoolies SP30/31/35 on: March 29, 2015, 04:08:33 AM
Let me guess.

You are only paying by Paypal?
18139  Economy / Services / Re: Post a photo of yourself and a Bitcoin address BTC (0.3 USD) | Provide or fund! on: March 29, 2015, 04:03:02 AM
This is retarded!

Why would someone post their own photo on the internet just for a few BTC.

What's even more retarded is why would anyone pay someone just because they posted their photo.

18140  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New Diff thread Mar 22 to Apr. 5 not ready for prime time on: March 29, 2015, 02:52:04 AM
Google doc
9.52 slowly going down... not a lot still good though.

Bitwisdowm
Bitcoin Difficulty:    46,717,549,645
Estimated Next Difficulty:    50,222,797,133 (+7.50%)
Adjust time:    After 1053 Blocks, About 6.6 days

So the two are getting closer to reaching each other.  And BTC down a few dollars at around 247.

Looks like today ended up flat. I guess it was "bad" luck for some of the pools.
