I thought Liverpool would easily win that one after getting two early goals but what a turnaround for Real though scoring five goals.  Tongue

I somehow hoped that Real could win but didn't expect so many goals. Oh well... Since I'm up against the best in the last week, I'm glad both of us have one answer correct and one wrong Smiley Let's see what today will bring us.

The Chelsea question actually is not that hard. Everyone just have to be better than  this week opponent. So it doesn't matter if you guess four players if your opponent guesses three of them Smiley

Uh... This week will be hard as I'm facing the last week best player in the division 2. I hope that vd309 won't give 8 correct answers again. Well... Good luck to all of us. And indeed the questions are great!

Znaš ono staviš u potpis "Closing signature campaigns one by one, take me on and prove that your campaign is the best on the forum"

A little dizzy Would you give me a hint on how to answer to question number nine?

You need to write down 11 players that you think will start the game for Chelsea against Tottenham.
The point will be given to the player that gets more names correct.

/snip

This time it's much easier to understand what a H2H question means. For the ninth question, if you guess more players in the starting 11 than your opponent from this week, you get a point and your opponent doesn't. I think that H2H questions are more appropriate for the competition since every week each of us is competing against a certain user, not against everyone else.

Wow! I managed to secure my first win. That's great! When I saw that most of you answered "yes" in the last question, I thought that a draw would be the best I can end up with, but that question saved me in the end. Now we go on to the second week to start a winning streak Smiley Where can we find our opponent for the second week? Sorry if I didn't see it, it's Monday morning Smiley

I na kraju, jedna loša vijest.

Round 3 Payments have been sent out!

Thank you all for a great 3rd week of this campaign!

As of now we are putting this campaign back on HOLD until further notice so you can remove your Signatures and Avatars for the time being. It's been my pleasure to work with you guys and hopefully we can continue that in the future Smiley

Netherlands and Danmark are some of those "dying" teams. They are a shadow of their former self. And regarding Belgium, it is difficult to believe that this team was at the top of the FIFA rankings a few years back. Among the European teams, England, France, Spain, Portugal and Italy have maintained their standards, while others like Netherlands and Belgium have gone down the drain. The advantage with teams like England is that they have some of the best club competitions in the world and that ensures a steady supply of quality young players.

It's not just England and their home league. All those nations you have mentioned have a very good domestic league and it shows in their national team performance. Exceptional players from countries like Croatia with lousy domestic league play for foreign clubs where they can boost their performance even more.
1831  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: [AMA] Vodim Online Crypto Casino on: February 17, 2023, 12:22:28 PM

Zato me samo zanimao razlog zbog kojeg ulazi u to.

Ako vec ulazi u razvoj, sigurno da ce insistirati da devs razviju igru do kraja i eventualno isprave nedostatke.

Ma naravno. Samo znaš kako to ide s developerima. Obećaju jedno, a isporuče nešto sasvim drugo.
1832  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: [AMA] Vodim Online Crypto Casino on: February 17, 2023, 11:47:45 AM

A ti planiraš razviti svoju vlastitu online slot igru?
1833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: February 17, 2023, 10:48:56 AM
The thing about the house and the advantage is somewhat ambiguous, if it is necessary to consider that a host team has a little more advantage, but you must have a little more tact when it comes to giving a red or yellow card, because it is the advantage of the host, then it cannot be dealt with radically and harshly either, the hosts are the ones who usually win the first game, but in the case of Qatar things were very different, they even said that Ecuador had offered a lot of money to the players to let themselves win, I don't know if it was speculation or truth, but somehow that causes a lot of curiosity.

Maybe you get the feeling that the host is usually the team that wins the first game, but it has nothing to do with it. It's just because most of the time a host is a country with a good national team like Brazil, Germany, France... But when you look at how Qatar played in the last World Cup, you see that there is no home advantage if you play against a stronger opponent.

The whole idea is to crown the biggest sports fanatic - and to be that you have to know a lot about a lot of sports.

/snip

I don't think of myself as a sports fanatic, but I still love this kind of competition. It's fun and it doesn't cost me anything to participate, so I wanted to try. OK, the first division participants must pay a small fee but they will get it back with the reward at the end of the season.

I think that there will always be something to complain about because Trofo and cryptofrka are just humans who can make an error. There's nothing wrong with that. Besides, this competition differs from the World Cup competition. Here we compete in a league system where losing one week doesn't have to mean anything. Just like Arsenal losing their last game in the Premiership doesn't mean they won't win the title Smiley

I somewhat agree with casperBGD but I'm not sure what can be done. To me it looks like there are two choices. Either the whole table will be hidden until the deadline for the answers passes, but then someone can question the transparency of the whole competition. In that case anyone can say that he gave a different answer than what's in the spreadsheet.
The other choice is to leave it as it is. I think that the World Cup competition was organized in the way that everyone could see other player's answers as soon as they were given. I think that's OK too because to me, transparency is more important than the possibility that the opponent gets a small advantage because he saw my answers.

Damn! Another question I got wrong. But I guess it will be very little correct answers to the first question as there is a lot of options. Thankfully I got off to a good start with 2 points on third and fourth question. DireWolfM14 and I answered most of the questions totally different so I guess it's will be a battle to the very end Smiley

The 1st question is a h2h duel. You can win a point even if you get only one semifinalist correct - or lose if you get both correct but fail to guess the winner.
It depends on what your opponent selects as well.

Ah, that good. I misread the question and thought that in the first question we get one point for each correct answer. For example, if Tsitsipas is the finalist and looses, everyone who answered him to be one of the finalists gets one point. I guess I need to read more carefully in the future Smiley

I still haven't got one right lol 0/5 counting question number 6 out thanks to Benfica winning 2-0. My tennis prediction is also half dead with Rublev eliminated early by De Minaur.  Tongue

The only good thing going for me is that my opponent is only 1 point up but there's not much difference in the last four questions so a draw would be the best case for me.

In Ronaldo's case also, he is not getting the entire amount upfront. $250 million will be paid over several installments, during his stay with Al Nassr. And then there is another payment for $250 million (so the total goes to $500 million), which is linked to Ronaldo being a part of the Saudi team, which will bid to host the 2030 World Cup. Usually the bid team includes only citizens of that particular country and that is the reason why there is speculation on Ronaldo accepting citizenship from Saudi Arabia. But we need to remember here that dual citizenship is not recognized in Saudi Arabia and therefore if he gets the Saudi passport, then Ronaldo need to forfeit the Portuguese nationality.

Even if Ronaldo gets Saudi citizenship, what would that mean for the football? Nothing. Even if he could, he still wouldn't be able to play for the Saudi national team because he played for Portugal. I really don't see the point in him getting their citizenship because as dar as I know, it's not forbidden for a foreigner to be a part of the group that will bid to host the 2030 World Cup.

It was easy to run world cup since we had one official source for all results.  Now we have to monitor many, each for different league or sport. Apps like sofascore are great for casuals but they are not official and we can't use them to grade close call questions.

I agree. I think that you should take statistics from the official organization like UEFA for Championship league games. That way no one can say that you used some source just because it goes to someone else's favor.
1840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 5000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: February 15, 2023, 09:59:37 AM
We took our time to check this one properly. Although it won't work in my favor, we'll use the official UEFA site that says Bayern had exactly 55% possession.

Regarding the answers painting - you'll have to give us a bit more time. For example, I cannot do it from work because the access to the sheet is blocked. Organizing this is a lot of work, sometimes you'll have to wait a bit or just analyze it alone if you want to have the results ASAP.

Wohoo! So I won another point. Well that's great news. I was checking statistics on Sofa Score and they said it's 54%. Great news! Grin

RE the cup - we already said there will be one. It is currently impossible to put it into schedules and we don't want to overcomplicate things, but I expect we'll have it in 2024.

Regarding the motivation factor - in every round you play for better placement and also for some freebets.

I'm sure that you guys will eventually have to quit your daily jobs and start focusing on managing competitions in this forum Grin
