1824  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin traders, why don't you just trade forex? on: July 11, 2011, 01:03:07 AM
In contrast I put only 5 GBP into BTC and traded in multiple times daily whenever I wanted to, so far over a few days.

It took little time to set up but less than a week and was fairly easy to do this using Britcoin and was then even easier to put some of the part bitcoin I had now already purchased with GBP and is in Britcoin into MtGox.

I have 0% charge on each trade, 0% running costs each day, 0% charge for adding or withdrawing money, no or practically no loss due to rounding and 0% trading overhead charges with no additional charges after that.

It's easy to perform a buy/sell and http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/mtgoxUSD#rg2zig1-minzvztgMzm1g10zm2g25 has a good ratio of simple to powerfull showing me to the minute whats happening.

I'd like to see it start going up again properly.
1826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bitcoinity.org/markets - live mtgox & tradehill charts on: July 08, 2011, 01:17:15 PM
Looks great. Needs much higher polling interval IMO.
1827  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Volatility! OH BABY HOW I FUCKING MISSED YOU! on: July 07, 2011, 09:47:18 PM
You forgot to mention Britcoin :¬)

Every excange must be roughly the same so presumably your always trading at mtGox prices even if you trade elsewhere?
1828  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoincharts, technical indicators? on: July 06, 2011, 05:26:41 PM
Cool, ty. I'm using Gox price chart now, it's cleared up the periods of no activity I was seeing before.
1829  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoincharts, technical indicators? on: July 06, 2011, 05:05:24 PM
Thanks. So it's quite apparent looking at the line as well what color the volume bars below it ought to be.

The size of the bar indicates the ammount of money being traded?

If there have been no trades then the trade price shows the last trade price, so it looks like a horizontal line?

I have some questions. Sorry if they are a bit predictable but I'm reasonably new.

Thanks. I've tried Britcoin and was able to put money into it. I used internet banking to perform the payment they specified, it's much clearer as to what to do than bitcoin7.
1833  Other / Beginners & Help / my money with bitcoin7 on: July 02, 2011, 12:01:09 AM
I'd like to use bitcoin7 to purchase some Bitcoins. However they don't take credit\debit cards or paypall and I can't hand over cash, they instead take some more unusual forms of payment. I'm in England. Whats the best (easiest) method they offer and how do I transfer money this way?
1834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many blocks before I typically get a Bitcoin on: May 22, 2011, 08:50:25 PM
Thanks.

GUIMiner is stuck on "starting..." status in the status bar and "Connecting..." on the taskbar (small icons on the right, with the clock and volume controll) tooltip.

Can you recommend GPU bitcoin generating software?
1836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How many blocks before I typically get a Bitcoin on: May 22, 2011, 11:48:55 AM
How many blocks on the status bar of my client must show before I typically get a Bitcoin. I'm on 109473 at the moment.
