1821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | FPL Football Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: February 07, 2023, 05:33:21 PM
Pep has officially gone crazy, as I just wrote in pool topic, he starts with De Bruyne on bench and then brings him in for Mahrez. I get it you want to maybe send wake up call to De Bruyne who is really below par for his high standards but to remove Mahrez when you need a goal is crazy. By far the best City player after WC and best one to make a goal from nothing
Pep really got it all wrong this time. I sort of get an idea of the game he was trying to play though, to play some psychological game with the Spurs team but, Conte wasn't there due to health issues and left the job to his assistant, such an important game and Pep was supposed to capitalise on all that but, the game he was trying to play just turned out to be a said one. Trying to put Spurs in a space where they would try to figure out what trick his got under his sleeves and then, make KDB want the game more than anything, watch and figure out what the teams aren't doing so well and delivers it when eventually substituted but, taking Mahrez off was just not it.

Mahrez has been a power house for the team, his runs, his crosses and he gets to go for the goal when his seen an opening which makes him vital to play a 90minutes in this game. Besides, the team was a goal down and R. Mahrez is definitely a player that could have changed things. Good enough, Spurs wasn't hoping to let City best them for a second time after having a lead start and somehow, Pep did let it happen. Not to mention the whole financial situation going on with City at the moment.

I also haven't updated on this before, Manchester City turned out to be getting unpleasant allegations regarding Financial Fair Play (FFP) financial problems, which maybe this will have the potential to expel Manchester City or reduce points in the English league, but is it possible for the team Big names like Manchester City can be touched on that easily, considering that Manchester City is very influential in the English league. Maybe my prediction is the same as Jordan, the owner of Crystal Palace, that is, if there is fraud, the English league committee will sanction points deductions which might end up the same as Juventus in Serie A.
I've been hearing about this Manchester City and financial issues from yesterday and I don't see a specific direction to which the whole financial thing is point. All I get is they are being investigated of financial issues and it doenst talk about bribery, league manipulations and stuff like that. Although, contracts as per 2previous managers before Pep and players are to be subject to investigations and Pep is of the notion that, of the board haven't been telling him the truth, he would leave the club and won't be friends with them but still, I don't get the whole thing.

Points deductions, removal from the league and other punishments for this would affect the City team badly and Prp would be specifically off on this. His already stated his point and that would be something else as all his worked so hard for would be flushed down the toilet.
1823  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you like commission job or salary base job? on: February 06, 2023, 11:52:26 PM
I would prefer the Salary based job to the commission job because the income is guaranteed at the end of the month and much more rest assured compared to the expectation of having to meet some certain targets in order to get paid based on commission.
Both jobs have got to have certain advantage and depending on the lifestyle an individual is willing to level by, you would decide on which to go with.

For those who likes a salary job, you've got to be ready for a drawn line kind of lifestyle. There is always going to be a point where the lines are drawn and your activities gets defined around those points. Also, the level of freedom it might grant you. Salary jobs are often not at advantage of the organisation in the sense that, a staff might be sloppy on the job and still get paid but often, staff get paid as much as they work and that's the hard to accept part.

The commission job is one that rewards the hardworking and so its always a perfect job for someone who has got the tike and contacts to make the numbers count. Definitley something i would like as you get to define your pay grade which ain't going to be regular and you have your time.
1824  Economy / Economics / Re: How Bitcoin mooved from grass to grace. on: February 06, 2023, 11:32:39 PM
Investing your little money on Bitcoin isn't a RISK
Assuming you invested when bitcoin price was $65000, will you be happy by now? The price of bitcoin may reach $100000 and the person may later gain, but what if he needs the money and sold at loss? Do not say investing in bitcoin is not risky, it requires knowledge and experience for not to invest at wrong time.
A most ignored fact that keeps messing people up.
When individuals thinks of cryptocurrencies and picking an investment, they often tend to look at it from the price of today or the ATH of 2021 in comparison with those of the genesis years in 2009/10.
Apparently, those are long lost years and long lost opportunity to have taken advantage of that price.

The market is bearish now, bitcoin investment is good and promiscuous but, it would always have risk enveloped around it and should you not approach it with a possibility of a lose, you might eventually lose and it would hurt.

When investing, have a plan for your investment and try not to panic sale through all the FUD that is been promoted. Bitcoin often comes through.
1825  Economy / Economics / Re: Keeping money and keeping bitcoins? are they similar? on: February 06, 2023, 11:21:06 PM
They are similar in some aspect i.e both involves savings but saving Bitcoin is more valuable than saving ordinary money. Let's consider this two people:
Man A saves 2 million naira in early 2020 but this money ends up losing value till this moment.
Man B uses 2 million naira to buy Bitcoin in early 2020 and now has made more than ×5 of his/her investment now.
Therefore buying Bitcoin is highly better than saving your money directly in bank for long.
It's might seem clever trying yo coin simarities in this way but I don't buy it. Saving fiat money and hodling bitcoin aren't the same thing. One of the reasons is the fact that, bitcoin isn't just money or a currency but, an asset. For people we buys assets, invest in real estate, you can't exactly term that as saving. Same way you shouldn't really refer to hodling cryptocurrency in that regard.

You save faith money with the purpose of just making it available for use in a few days, weeks, months or even years but, you hodl bitcoin because you have in mind that, it would appreciate in price/value which makes it some good investment.
1826  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: February 05, 2023, 11:54:08 PM
The greatest limitation to how much wealth an individual might be able to archive or command to himself is based on the knowledge, level of information that individual commands and his ability to convert. What a man thinks is eventually what you are able to bring to your reality but, the know how is where most of the difference lies. If your not able to profound a solution to a situation in your head or perhaps be able to get others do it for you, your likely going to have stagnated growth or no growth at all or even decline from your level of financial growth.

We've developed languages and media's to serve a means through which, we can pass knowledge from persons to persons. Seeking just the right kind or being aware of its existence has been the limiting factor for most and would continue to be.
1827  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think will happen if... on: February 05, 2023, 11:39:30 PM
What do you think will happen to crypto if institutional investors all decide to stay away from crypto investment this time around? Do you think crypto can surge of it's own especially Bitcoin without the help of institutional investors money, do not yab me for this question, I am not sure what will happen I only need people's different opinions.
I think the better question is,
Is cryptocurrency or bitcoin should I single that out, I it dependent on institutional investors or should I say the whales?

I think the answer would be very much no and if that be it then, we really ought not to be discussing this. Surely, institutional investors have got there influences in the sentiments that they create and bring to the market but that too is based on individual perception of the message they've received.

Before they started hodling large amounts, some of them tested the shores with as little as they could afford to lose and later went big. There are those who came in big as well but, they kept adding over time. Them backing out won't stop investors from investing. It would only mean a bearish session that would be later accompanied by the bulls.

1829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 04, 2023, 02:56:52 PM
Everton did it and this is a nice victory for them after in the previous 8 matches they could only produce 2 points meaning that only two draws and the rest lost, Everton was able to block every Arsenal attack well and possession of the ball from Arsenal did not produce anything good, even seen after behind them like panic, City must be happy with this result so that City's opportunities are open again
Arsenal was clearly off today, they weren't at there game at all and I think there is a reason for that. They underestimated the Everton side, for a team that has just got a new manager, is yet to harmonise there team and are at the relegation zone, they could bite very little. I think that's what there thoughts were and when I heard Arteta in a prematch interview, he said, Sean Dyche is good and would improve Everton but that, would be after they play Arsenal. What he didn't know was, it was going to begin with Arsenal. This the effect of underestimation, they forgot the zeal to win that could come with a new boss and being in the relegation zone.

Everton wanted it and they did it. Its just unbelievable but, Arsenal records its second lose for the season and there grip on the league released by some points.
1830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 04, 2023, 01:31:11 PM
Is this the same team Lampard had under his management that got fans protesting! See how better they are playing. The team right now is on another level of energy with the employment of a new manager in Sean Dyche and you can tell Arsenal is frustrated. There have been lots and lots of chances created but the finishing has been the only thing keeping them from goal.

A. Onana created a very good chance for Calvert-Lewin and all was needed was just to slide it in but, he was inches away from the ball. Abdoulaye Doucoure had his chance with a header that went wide. He ought to have done better with that ball for sure, a no contested ball and he was right there in front of the post. Calvert-Lewin again had another chance with a header but couldn't direct it on target.
B. Saka had his chance but Conor Coady was right on the line to bak J. Pickford up with the clearance. Nketiah had his chance sent wide with an attempt to roof the ball.

The game has been nothing short of a excitement in the first half, let's see what changes to the game the managers would make both tactically and substitutes in the second half.
1831  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think Bottom is gone on: February 03, 2023, 08:56:15 PM
The crypto market is currently in a bull market, and of course the bear market will stop for a while. And popular altcoins are also experiencing price increases. We hope this will continue. Even the price of Bitcoin has reached $ 24k, maybe in this week it can reach $ 25k. Usually this kind of improvement will last two to three months.
I don't quite get you,
Your saying, we are in a bull run but the bears will stop soon! If am to go by your statement, I means we are still very much on the bear market an that is what it is. We are not in the bull as you earlier proposed. The market for this bear season dipped at $17k and with the market now around $23k being a $6k difference, that's not much which means, we are still in the bearish zone. If you get to look at the ATH around $65k+ you would agree more that the bears have still got the market and the bulls haven't go much momentum to push for a bullrun.
1832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear And Bull Market? on: February 03, 2023, 08:35:50 PM
What is the real difference between bull and bear market and how can one utilize them to make some good profits?
One good lesson I learned during multiple bull runs and bear runs I experienced before always takes profits.
Since you want to make some good profits, always keep in mind that taking profits is always a good idea.
Avoid marrying your coins, especially altcoins. As you can also notice there are lot of altcoins that are temporary, they only on the top during every cycle bullrun/bear run.
When I read the part of your comment that said always take profi and projected it for a good strategy, I was just about objecting. Apparently, I've tried that a couple of times with bitcoin and ot was the exact opposite as I ended up regretting most times. In the events of my trier, the price kept appreciating and and felt bad watching watching rise when I knew I could have hodl and have it all. I was trying to maximise profit with the strategy but after a long wait most times, I couldn't leave my money in stable coin and so, I often buy back and surely, its usually less.
1833  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - take profits or continue to DCA? on: February 03, 2023, 08:17:06 PM
Most of the assets I own so far are bitcoin, and there are very few altcoins there including a few stablecoin. I have never thought that asset diversification is wrong, and I think diversification is also necessary because basically both bitcoin and altcoin provide benefits for their investors. So it doesn't matter if you invest in both especially because of the diversification.
Taking profit has been most useful for altcoins but not so much for bitcoin. Altcoins for most of it haven't been a commodity that you invest in with a long term intent given that, even the best or promising altcoins can dip in a vear market and never rises again. Why not that? Its mostly because, investors have taken profit and it becomes really risky to keep faith with such project.

When it comes to bitcoin, it's entirely different as, its got some securities on its part by promises of a future usage. Bitcoin being the one truly decentralized currency stands out as one whom is sure not to fail. Has history on its side and keeps growing no matter what. An asset to own for sure.
1834  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The 4 trading fears and how to overcome them on: February 02, 2023, 11:52:19 PM
In all that is mentioned or listed above, only one stands out and that is, the fear of loosing money.
You know, if you don't make the profits in the market, it might bother you but, not as much as loosing your money would be. In loosing your money, you develop the zeal to win it back and what you want mots of all is to make profit and no losing so, the concern drives your every thought and moves towards accurate analysis.

The vest way to avoid this is by building confidence in your tasting patterns and that comes from testing the market with several trading strategies until your certified with one to work just okay. Other than that, its just trier and error or more of gambling.
1835  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Deal with Volatility? on: February 02, 2023, 11:46:40 PM
To survive in the volatile crypto market, consider the following strategies:

Diversification: Spread your investments across different cryptocurrencies and assets to minimize the impact of market volatility on your portfolio.
The fact that you look at diversification this way, in terms of having your portfolio spread out amongst altcoins leaves yo think that your not even 50% on this particular idea. I mean, it should have been a well observed occurance fir you on market behaviour that, whatever affects bitcoin has a some worth direct relationship on altcoins as well. It's rather common that way, the bear of bitcoin is very much as well the bear of altcoins. They are all coins and that's a single umbrella. Diversifying within doesn't make no difference except when you take other investments outside the field. That way, we could say you've Diversified appropriately.
1836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 02, 2023, 11:25:43 PM
At the moment they are guests and of course in this game Tottenham cannot be underestimated.
When he said Pep knew what they had to do in this game it wasn't Conte nor was it the same they knew it would be difficult for them if they still played like they did in the second half of the first meeting.
The scheme will still be the same as strengthening the defense and as much as possible even if there are not 3 points at least there must be 1 point.
Been beaten once doesn't mean much but, been beaten twice is the very an act of subjugation. For a team like Tottenham, at least they've got to go there and get a draw, to share points with Pep other than let him tide on them and get all 6 points from there two meetings.  It's not going to tell well of Conte's management or the team they've got now in there squad. Am hoping it won't be an easy game but, Spurs remains what they've they've from there previous Manchester City meetings and they surely don't look like a team that can beat Manchester City but, getting a draw won't be asking too much or out of place.
1837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Up to what discount are you giving up for your customers? on: February 02, 2023, 07:12:20 PM
Right now I am sure that many people are accepting bitcoin in their business as there are many posts about this, I also read that discount is an effective way to make people want to pay with Bitcoin.
Your so sure because of some post you see on the forum? Have you ever used one or have you seen them come back to post repeated evidence of some periodic payment as to how they are doing and the response of there customers to this new means of payment... I guess not. I might just have to remind you that some although I can't tell which are just phony. Wth that being said, I'll get right in to your subject.

Is there a reason to make your customers want to pay in bitcoin? I think not. What the point in giving discount?
Providing the means is good enough for the customers to have more than one means or only fiat means of payment hence, they've they've the leverage of choice and you've got the opportunity not to lose your customers to other competitors.

Discount on a means of payment isn't a thing but when it comesvto products or services, that's where it could matter.

The image above is from Huobi exchange, it shows that now matter how good a new innovation is, the old ones won't want to see it prevail, they will ridicule it to the core, do not be fooled, technology is advancing and Bitcoin is simply the most reliable better digital currency and a big headache for the banks.

Stay away from any Bitcoin FUD and always remember that Bitcoin has faced death so many times and still prevails, this is beyond stoppable for the haters now, the only thing they are capable of is the CBDC and FUDs.
I don't think you really get the picture @OP. Huobi is a crypto innovated exchange and they can't promote what would mean no business for them . They are out for the money yes but, they aren't gonna get one just to rub put of business later.

What you've got there in OP is a Irony. The definitely mean the exact opposite.
What we've got there is just some simple comparison for you to see how better we've got these new innovations, how easy and better it jas made things as opposed to the traditional. It's just as clear as that and it's really upto to spot the better and tag along.
1839  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: February 01, 2023, 11:48:33 PM
Well, I have to clarify that personally I have never had any loan or debt in my life so this thread has nothing to do with my experience but intends to find out how people in loan/debt deal with the problem. Let's say you take loans from a bank and sometimes for whatever reason, you can not pay the debt on time, then you borrow money from other channels. Sure this works for a certain period but later bad things may happen, you have to postpone the payment and struggle with finances again. Isn't this a vicious circle ? How would you deal with the problem ? I am all ears.
I guess its all I'll be talking about today because, I just saw a thread that focused on loan just a while ago although, it came with another context that centered on having to invest with loaned money.
It's okay to take loans, besides that's what the facility was provided for, to help you archive that which money serves as a limitation but, you ought to pay it back and with interest if it does come with one.

Well, in my nation, loans have been really popular and we've got lots of loan apps or firms out there and these guys have been cheated of there money many at times. The few that have got it right is the banks. They've got BVN  (Biometric Vertication  Number) to link accounts and it doesn't matter which bank was used to taking a lone, agree to the terms of deduction and you would get deductions whenever its credited.

For other financial firms, its just different. There terms are sly and people just ride on them all they want.
1840  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: February 01, 2023, 11:32:20 PM
Most people borrow money just for fun, they want to fulfill pleasure by buying unproductive things, if we borrow and use it for good and productive things, for example additional business capital, buying assets or something else then borrowing money is a very good thing, and we should be able to measure our ability to pay or not.
That's so youths youths in country. I guess its not just in my country but for one speaking out of what I've experienced, It's just so annoying when they have that attitude towards loans. It kind ofakes me ask myself,

Do the credit score thing works?
Do this loan companies, banks inclusive even chats with themselves?

Am saying this becuase, your credit score is supposed to designate some individuals as credit worthy and others as not based on existing database but, you keep finding these guys getting more and more loans without paying anyone up. It's just crazy!

Worst is, these loan companies have just made taking loans so easy. You take it without any collateral and handing down any vital documents. I feel sorry for them both parties though.
