1821  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi Im trader over 12 years of experince here is my goal on: June 04, 2023, 11:54:04 AM
My goal is to start with 7$ and in 15 days i'll turn this into 229376$
You are only wasting your time. You will use high leverage, but your liquidation price would be very close to the extent of getting your trading fund liquidated.

I'll post here results when i have done this my PNL from binance.
Before you open any position, let us know your entry price. And also let us know your closing price after you close the position.
1822  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bybit is the next to exit Canada, stating regulatory reason on: June 04, 2023, 08:03:18 AM
You can also look at it as a blessing in disguise if you don't want centralization of power. Being reliant on Binance or other exchanges is not really a good idea in the long run IMO. Obviously, people will always want the best service, so I hope there will be competitors that come out of something like this. I guess we need to see if there will be new businesses that follow the regulations or not, or if banks will take the chance to increase their influence on the market.
If you want a decentralized exchanges , you can go for Bisq.

If you want no KYC exchanges, you can go for any of these exchanges: https://kycnot.me

There is a thread on this forum about no KYC exchanges: Current list of exchanges without KYC

There are competitors.

There are almost 700 exchanges in the world now.
1823  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My spot Market trading stradegy what u think on: June 03, 2023, 06:37:08 PM
Somethimes i use hedge with short btc or eth short with 3x leverage no SL but instead of SL I HAVE 5x Lev order added extra on top of the 3x leverage short position just higher then liq price in case the sudden drop of price.
So i will win or at least don't lose my loss is just small profit or brakeven.
I use to use 3x leverage bear/bull tokenz but since FTX case those kind of things can not be trusted anymore Also the NAV issue (balance reset not quite faovoreble 4 me )
This is called martingale strategy as it is gambling too. If you go for 1x and losing, you will go for higher leverage. It is tempting traders to use a higher leverage which makes this kind of strategy to be very dangerous. Averaging is better and make trading or investment to be less risky, unlike the martingale strategy that makes trading and investment to be riskier, making money loss to be more possible.
1824  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My spot Market trading stradegy what u think on: June 03, 2023, 05:29:08 PM
Assuming you have $1000. You invest just $100. If you gain you take your profit. But if you lose, you invest more and more until you invest the $1000.

This is a good strategy and one of the averaging strategies. It makes the risk in your trading or investment to be minimal than to use the $1000 at ones. But also the profit can be minimal.

But it is important you have a better planning of when to invest more and more for it not to be done at the wrong time which may lead to significant loss.
1825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 03, 2023, 08:54:04 AM
So sorry to the family of the victim. It is sad to see this.

Some people do not think about the consequences of using high amount of money on gambling, but when they lose the huge amount of money, they will be depressed and some people will feel like killing themselves. He is young, but he supposed to have faced what comes after and change for good. If there is life there is hope.

Supposing he knows about this forum, maybe he would have learned some lessons from what we are posting.
1826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: One or more trading strategies, which one do you prefer? on: June 03, 2023, 08:08:15 AM
Personally, I don't have issues with that, many of my trading strategies can stand alone. But experience chose for me over time. I now combine trading strategies and it has helped me to better filter my trading signals for greater performance. And if any of that strategies did not confirm the same signal, I do not go for it.
Do you mean trading indicators? Becuase it is indicators that can be pointing to one direction.

Using little amount of money, stop loss, take profit, martingale (very risky), the type of trading (like swing, day trading and scalping), the leverage used, how you analyse market with indicators, the type of mode used and everything you are doing to make profit from trading can be regarded as strategy.

Everything a trader did to make profit, or that result to loss is called trading strategy. So it would be good to specific on one part, like the indicators used, the trading type and the likes instead of generalizing on the strategies used.

In trading, most traders naturally developed different strategies as one is not working, the trader move to another to see if it would works. Traders prefer to focus on the one that best worked for them to achieve the profit they want from trading.
1827  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 7 tips to know about crypto trading on: June 02, 2023, 09:11:51 AM
The more money you put into crypto trading the more money you get and also there is a high risk losses without proper risk management in place.
This may be true but it is not entirely true because trading profitability also depends on a trader itself. The more money used can result to more losses for most common traders.

Determination, consistency and practice makes you a better trader.
If you are trading and continue to fail and lose for a very long time, it is better to leave your determination and find other ways to make money like holding or going for swing trading. But determination can truly help.
1828  Economy / Exchanges / Coinbase Derivatives Exchange set to roll out BTC and ETH futures on: June 02, 2023, 08:28:15 AM
I have read about Coinbase plan to establish a derivative exchange outside of US some weeks ago but now I know the company mean business. It is what Coinbase was not thinking about until the tough regulation from United States regulators. In United States, you can not even leverage.

On June 1, Coinbase revealed its plans to introduce Bitcoin and Ether futures contracts on June 5 through its Commodity Futures Trading Commission-regulated derivatives exchange. The futures contracts will be targeted toward institutional investors.

Position that can be opened will be up to 5x and it is in BTCUSDC and ETHUSDC. Probably other trading pairs would be added later. Using USDC for it can be enough, as I know Coinbase to have been only supporting USDC stable coin.

But why Coinbase not going for BTCUSDT and ETHUSDT contracts too? On some exchanges that I am using, like Bybit and OKX, you can see both USDT and USDC contract. While on others that I am using like Binance, Kucoin and Huobi Global, only USDT is there because it is the most stablecoin with the highest liquidity. Why Coinbase do not like USDT future contracts?
1829  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management on: June 02, 2023, 07:50:00 AM
When trading there are rules to observe in other to protect your margin
To protect your margin? What do you mean by margin? Or you mean too protect the trading fund?

Focus on the risk not rewards.
A good trader will focus on both risk and reward.

Reacting to risk, use stop loss and always take profit.
This is correct. There are times I waited to gain more and the price reversed and no more favour me. Sometimes, it can correct itself back while sometimes, especially if I use high leverage, it might lead to money loss.
1830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 01, 2023, 03:49:58 PM
Online gambling is legal in my country, but sometimes I have to travel to a country where it is illegal. I then use a VPN to be able to access the site. This is one of the reasons why some casinos allow people to use VPNs..... but you are still taking a huge risk.
Best to first contact the gambling site customers care to know about the country that you are going to, to know if they will allow you to use VPN. If they said no, better not to gamble in the country until you go back to your country. I will expect the customer care to say no though.

Now, the question is.... Will you still use a VPN, if it is not allowed by the ToS on the site. What will you do if they "block" your account and take your balance?
VPN is not allowed according to the gambling site TOS, then why using it. Do not use VPN if stated on the TOS.
1831  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC/LTC pair. Buying LTC Halving on: June 01, 2023, 03:22:25 PM
So you don't expect the LTC vs BTC price to increase during or after the LTC halving? Shall I keep my savings in BTC?
Yes, you can. After bitcoin halving, the price of cryptocurrencies do increase, I do not think that will not still happen again after bitcoin halving which would be around March or April next year.
1832  Economy / Gambling / Re: Are betting companies using T&C against their customers on: June 01, 2023, 02:45:41 PM
Some gamblers may violate the gambling site terms of service, but if it is not about money laundering or a criminal act or trying to manipulate to earn free money with multiple accounts, the gambling site supposed to give the user back his money. Some gambling sites are just like that these days which is just scam. We have been seen something like that on this forum, but there are some gambling sites that people do not complain about which are the once it is better to go for.
1833  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 01, 2023, 02:29:53 PM
We should not also forget to continue our fun discussion on Bitcoin price guess for 2023.

As for the month of June, bitcoin may remain less volatile in my opinion. I checked the monthly BB and I noticed that it has been three months now that bitcoin has been unable to go beyond the middle band and slightly going down in price, maybe bitcoin may not go up further but I am expecting it not to go that high or low. The price will be less volatile this month.
1834  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question about casino, sports bet on: June 01, 2023, 02:18:50 PM
To answer your question, almost all crypto casino and sportsbook are mobile friendly. Isn't it the same like using an app except you are accessing it through an internet browser?
It depends on how the application is built. If built very well, the format and users' experience on apps is better than on web browsers. But web browsers are not bad too.

all gambling related sites have been removed from google store (at least in our country, ITALY)... so you need to download it directly from their sites ( if available like duelbits)...I think it's much easier use just the url betting with a browser...
You are correct, gambling site apps are not on playstore, it has to be downloaded from their site. But many gambling sites do not bother to have one.
1835  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC/LTC pair. Buying LTC Halving on: June 01, 2023, 01:42:03 PM
In the last litecoin halving, there was no significant effect it has on litecoin. Only the halving that we know to have significant effect on bitcoin and altcoins including litecoin has been bitcoin halving.

Altcoins may grow than bitcoin, that won't be a surprise if it happens, but if they want to fall, they fall more than bitcoin too.
1836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No Asic miner, No Bitcoin mining on: June 01, 2023, 09:25:19 AM
Cloud mining are scam. You want to mine, getting your own ASIC is very important. Only what you can depend on should not be more than mining pool if you can not have your own pool.

Cloud mining is a scam. There are even some websites that are fake, they mine fake bitcoin for you to entice you so you can be a premium members. If you pay, that is scam.

The ones that looks legit too is just as you explained it up.
1837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ordinals and BRC20 development on: June 01, 2023, 09:06:36 AM
Bitcoin has been known to the world already and without NFTs and other tokens, bitcoin will continue to grow. But with these Ordinals and Inscriptions, there can be more.

But Ordinals and Inscriptions depends on bitcoin, bitcoin did not depend on Ordinals and Inscriptions.

What I just know is that bitcoin is good and some peoole are finding ways to making money from it.

Those tokens can be risky, they are not bitcoin and not developed by bitcoin developers. They are altcoins that is making use of bitcoin and bitcoin blockchain.
1838  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Online Trading Basics, what you need to know before getting srarted!! on: June 01, 2023, 08:53:57 AM
Regular Monitoring: Stay actively engaged in monitoring your trades and the market conditions. Keep track of price movements, news releases, economic indicators, and any factors that may impact the assets you are trading. This helps you stay informed and make informed decisions based on current market dynamics.
It depends on the leverage you used and the amount of money you used too. As the money is small for you, the less you will want to monitor your trading activities, provided you also use a very low leverage. And this is how to make profit with a very tiny chance of losing. The bigger the leverage and the bigger the amount of money used, the higher the chance a trader would want to monitor his trading activities and the higher can be the loss.
1839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Behavioural signs that suggest you are Addicted to Gambling on: May 31, 2023, 01:17:35 PM
  • Preoccupation with gambling.
  • The urge to increase wagers to achieve the same level of excitement.
  • Having difficulty in controlling, cutting back, or stopping gambling despite several attempts.
  • Lying about gambling activities.
  • Borrowing money to gamble.
There is one more to add. An addicted gambler can sell his belongings and properties just for gambling. I remembered I sold my home theatre because of gambling and I lost the money very fast to gambling.

As gambling addiction can be a challenging issue that can have a very harmful impact on an individual's life. it is always recommended to find a professional helpb rather struggling with it. Do you agree with those behaviours? If not then you can suggest some, that can be added to this topic.
Professional help? Maybe. But I stopped addiction when I knew gambling is not meant for earning income. Gambling addiction is like madness, once someone discover that gambling can not help him or her in anyway than to make losses in addiction and seeing himself or herself to be addicted and knowing the future can not be good is enough to make such person quit the addiction. Professional help can be what could be needed for this, but not all the time. Someone close to him passing the reality to him can be helpful.
1840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator. Does it Work or Just Another Hype? on: May 31, 2023, 11:30:48 AM
Can you substantiate these claims? I've never heard of a campaign that asked users to wait a month for payments.
Transaction fees are low compared to what is paid weekly to subscribers, so no matter how expensive the fees are, I do not expect them to reach $100, and therefore most of them will not have a problem with the fees, no matter how high they are, and there are solutions such as CPFP by users or RBF by the campaign manager. Therefore, High fees is only problem for users who use it periodically for daily transactions that are less than the transaction fee or are repeated several times a day.
The outputs are many and some managers can send the coin from more than one address which adds to the transaction fee. When bitcoin mempool was above 300 sat/vbyte, campaign managers complained, they use high fee and the transaction took time to confirmed after paying more than $100 or $200. If there is any need, I can look for some transactions like that.

Example of a campaign that asked their participants about what to do is this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5451232.msg62224465#msg62224465

What can help is for the campaign manager to use either RBF or CPFP like Bestchange did. Participant in a campaign can not use CPFP because the fee will take all the coin send to the participant, it may even require more fee because the transaction weight of such transaction is huge. In one of Royse777 campaign, SFR10 did something like that using his his own coin paid to do CPFP.
