I will add a expstats.json for you later with avg networkhash, difficulty, avg block time, current block if thats all you need?
Wont be for a couple of hours i have a couple of things to do.

Thank you, most appreciated.
Actually I only need "blockcount" and "difficulty".
"Total coins" would also be useful, but I can get that from coinmarketcap if problematic.

I've been trying to install the windows wallet, but when running gexp.exe, it runs about 8 lines then stops at "starting server".   I've disabled antivirus, ensured windows firewall isn't a problem with udp 42786, and also allowed that port in the router.........  something seems to be halting gexp at this point, and I cannot find out what it is.   If i run the wallet and look at the console, it says "No running gexp instance found, launching integrated console."   Has anyone else had this problem (and figured out a solution!)  Huh
Yes, same problems here. I have tried all the tricks I know with no luck. It all started about 5 days ago, or was the last time I send coins successfully. I tried the suggestion and method by revel" Which is pretty close to some things I had tried, but again no luck.

Ok, if anyone has a trick we're not aware of let us know  Grin

Running on Windows 10, all has been fine until about 5 days ago. May try on a W7 system....

PS: running v1.35 and it still loads and then stops (or at least seems to be just sitting there). Even tried creating an entire new folder (apps/data etc. )
It seems to be working now..... v1.3.5, made 3 send tx and all made it to the exchange. The gexp is updated and running as it should. I left the chain data folder alone in the apps/data. I launched 1.3.5 from its new folder and launched my old wallet from its folder and its working... so for now ill take it lol (and the coins I had were showing this way - note: when I first deleted the chain data folder from in apps/data, my coins did not show in wallet*)  Will try to make sense of it all later  Wink

Thx  Smiley

u must download the blockchain first and then u will see u coins

try the new gexp:https://github.com/expanse-project/go-expanse/releases/tag/v1.3.5

rename the new file with the name "gexp.exe" (without quotes) copy and paste in the folder that u have expwallet.exe.Then go to roaming/expance and throw away the file chaindata. After this open the wallet and let it sync or hit straight the gexp.exe and letit sync

If that dont work ....sorry but i dont have another solution at the moment

The Sys Slack invite on the op returns the following message:

Quote
Failed! token_revoked

 Huh

That's odd the API token must have expired or something, I'll fix this tonight. if you want to PM me your email I'll manually send you an invite.

I was actually looking at the bigger picture, like online markets/stores in general like Ebay, auctoin sites, online warehouses where you use fiat currency. For Average Joe there is not much reason to flock to uᴉoɔʇᴉq yet in terms of trading goods, besides purse.io and a few individual merchants. Maybe decentralized markets such as Syscoin, OpenBazaar and BitBay could change this. But that's way ahead in the future. For me, cryptoland's initial reaction will tell much about the future of decentralized markets.

I'm also wondering why you are sticking with the name Syscoin? If the main feature is a decentralized market, it would sound more logical to me to rebrand Syscoin to something more familiar like Marketcoin, Bitmarket, Plazacoin or maybe Agora?

This is something we heavily debated internally, and are still discussing actually. Because Syscoin will likely have other features beyond just the marketplace (assets, prediction markets both possible) choosing a brand name that is solely related to the marketplace function could artificially limit Syscoin's value. As such we'd want to choose a new name that doesn't have "coin" or "cash" in it but is a more general platform brand. I like Agora, i mean i know its still limiting in that its greek for marketplace but i like how its not as direct as "marketcoin" etc.

The problem with Agora is that its also the name of a darkmarket, and we don't want to lead with that. This branding thing is still a topic of discussion. Interested to hear what the community think on this topic- if we were to rebrand the time to do it would be this upcoming 2.0 launch. If we choose to rebrand it would also incur come additional work as we'd need to update all our materials accoringly, which would delay the 2.0 launch - something we're trying to avoid.

opinion:i want to use these wikis xplanation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agora  http://www.stoa.org/athens/sites/agora.html  and info for the word AGORA for u to anderstand that the principles of this  name have  a lot more power, intrinsic value  and a lot more aristocratic roots then a dark market.
But this is my opinion.....
thanks

I don't know if the average joes will adopt this marketplace, as there are many out there. It will depend on the tech and on the marketing strategy of the team.

Totally agree that success @ scale will heavily depend on merchant adoption (which in turn will drive buyer adoption). Curious which competitors your referencing or who you see as competition because there are very few decentralized competitors out there that the average Joe can use short of OpenBazaar?

I'd already installed the (windows) wallet and started syncing before I realized that there's a bootstrap file available on the op

Presumably the bootstrap file needs to be dropped into the appdata roaming folder

What file/folder(s) does it replace? i.e. what existing file(s)/folder(s) do I first need to delete?

Thanks  Smiley

Another couple of days of syncing and I personally won't need to know the answer to ^^^ but at some point others undoubtedly will (especially in view of Syscoin's deserved fast growing popularity and influx of new people), so if anybody knows the answer to my question and is prepared to share it, please do and perhaps it could then be included on the OP.

Thanks  Smiley

U put the bootstrap file in roaming-syscoin and let it sync.......

Would someone point me to a good guide for mining with AMD cards? What kind of hashrate can I expect from 270x's? Thanks!
