1821  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: I want to place advert for my customers to fit pay me with bitcoin. on: June 23, 2023, 08:59:32 PM
The thing is that,  accepting Bitcoin or any other coin of your choice in your business is ok as an alternative mode of payment, but the limitation is in your customer's reaction because a good percentage of Nigeria citizens are either unaware of Bitcoin or don't even know how to make a Bitcoin transactions talk more of them using it as a daily spending currency.

Accepting cryptocurrency in business is not an easy thing and how to sustain it in a region where bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are seen as a threat to the banking sector like Nigeria

Accepting it is not a problem though but customers too would be glad there are other means of payment the vendor accepts and if they deem it fit to pay through bitcoin that's a welcome development as well too because it would be ok for them to do and at their own convenience. The bitcoin option of payment I believe is not compulsory neither is it mandatory to do but of choice and willing to if you have.

Although the banks frown at Crypto but there are  p2p outlets ready to transact so one should not be in a panic mode as to where to sell his or her bitcoin after accepting it as a mode of payment.
1822  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it too late for newbies? on: June 23, 2023, 06:28:39 PM
OP, going by your topic as stated, it is never to late to invest in bitcoin and it is never too late to be here as a member of the bitcointalk platform. We are still at the adopters stage but most early adopters must have benefited hugely from their positions in getting to know and hear about the bit early enough.

For your lessons on bitcoin, I strongly believe that some links as earlier posted by members would be of help to you as you inquire to know more about bitcoin.
1823  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help and encourage newbies to grow. on: June 23, 2023, 05:02:23 PM
In as much as learning is a continuous process, education never ends and patience is a virtue.
Like my friend would always say there is no hurry in life. Life is a gradual process, phase by phase process so therefore, it is same applicable here. As a newbie, you will have to get acquainted with the platform first by knowing the rules and regulations before possibly posting and before that, it is pertinent that you must have read through the platform to seeing you posts are made by members more especially established members of high rank.

Let me just give you a key or possibly an adopted motto by me  if you must grow and learn  here
"Passion and Patience"
1824  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Teacher and Classmates Labeling Bitcoin as a Ponzi Scheme or a Scam on: June 23, 2023, 04:37:23 PM
You have a smart nephew who is eager and ready to new things and it seems his teacher is not conversant with technology and innovations hence their display of ignorance towards your nephew input in their conversations. It is even bad that the teacher can not do a little research to be updated with knowledge of bitcoin and how it works but rather silence your nephew.
This shows how funny some humans can be at times. I expected the teacher to be challenged by the reality of your nephews input by going into research.
If I were your brother, I would have withdrawn him from that school as the ignorant attitude of the teacher has already shown how the teachers in that school are which is very bad and as such do not really show any sign of research attitude from them. This was the reason why other students too criticised your nephew because they depend on what their teacher told them and do not do further research and findings.
1825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think it's still wrong selling properties for Bitcoin? on: June 23, 2023, 04:17:49 PM
Although it sounds very risky but it is risky not to take risk. I believe you entered the market or possibly purchase bitcoin at the right time when it was still low.
You could have still sold the property for bitcoin even in the absence of bitcoin to start up other business at your own interests but you made a good decision and it paid you big profit so therefore, I see no wrong in selling properties for bitcoin depending their worth and value and also time of entrance into the bitcoin market.
1826  Economy / Gambling / Re: FLIP.casino - ONLINE CRYPTO GAMBLING | $2.00 SIGN UP BONUS on: June 23, 2023, 04:03:47 PM
OP, I would welcome you to this platform. It is poor the way you introduced your casino with no captivating captions.
Must we accept cookies on your casino website before we have asses to it?  It is absurd mate as it would scare away visitors who do not like to do with anything cookies on website. I suggest you put an ignore option there as not to make it compulsory.
I really can not access the website as a result of that cookies hence my questions;
Do you have license to operate, do you take kyc, and lastly do you have restrictions on countries from participating on your casino games?
1827  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ TronFun | Roulette & Duels | Provably Fair / Social Games | Fast Dep/With ⭐⭐⭐ on: June 23, 2023, 03:39:16 PM
OP, I think you are starting on the wrong note. Why creating multiple thread for this topic. You initially created a new thread for this and you deleted it. As you have posted here so you did there before.
I expected you to edit it and add whatever you want to add rather than deleting and creating a new thread with replica of what was written on the deleted thread.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5457233.msg62445249#msg62445249

Come to talk of it. Your introduction and announcement seems very poor with no or little information about the casino.
This is why you are advised to take out time to go through the platform so as to know what is obtainable here.
I think you will have to upgrade your account to a copper member so as to be able to upload pictorial excerpts from your website for view.

Nevertheless, you have a question pending answers as to why your white paper was a product of plagiarism here;

1828  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How being open to ideas and comments help you learn? on: June 23, 2023, 02:46:49 PM
If one refuse to accept new comments or ideas and just hate whenever corrected, then it’s a clear sign that he is not ready to learn, as learning requires an open minded individual so he can easily perceive every new idea that comes his way. That’s why aside from being hunger of new knowledge and good information, one should have the high interest and high determination to learn, and this could be perfectly done if you have the passion and patience to learn new things.

I love this aspect of "passion and patience" you talked about. You see it only takes one with passion for something to exercise patience for that same thing. If you see someone passionate about learning you will see how patient they are willing to be to learn, they listen because whatever you say is very meaningful and important to them hence they do not want to miss everyone word that comes out from your mouth.

Being open to new ideas is attached to ones passion to learn that new ideas and learning it takes patience. So therefore, for one to be able to learn, one must exercise patience and have passion for what they want to learn about.
1829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is the right time to buy bitcoin before the halving? on: June 23, 2023, 02:39:55 PM
Mate, now is the time as you can buy low to feel your bag. Bitcoin price rose to this point just within 24hours as a result of hype from other institutions as said by a poster here.  The market should not be a problem as the bitcoin halving is around the corner.
Any reasonable investor should get into the market now and holding for a long time would definitely yield positive results.
Compared to the last all time high, the current price is just a mere tip of an iceberg.
1830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New to Bitcoin on: June 23, 2023, 02:08:30 PM
hi guys im 64 years old and i want to learn how to use bitcoin email me at stevenjohnstone@mail.com with any tips or whatever i need to learn so i can make money these days

Nobody needs to send you an inbox personally to teach you about bitcoins. You joined this forum to learn about bitcoins and you will and learn from everyone here even pointed in the direction to get good materials of only you just ask the question like you have asked this in the beginners and help section of this forum.

Apart from you putting yourself up as potential victims to scammers, it also sounds more suspicious than naive that you are putting up your emails in a public place for strangers to contact you.

Truly nobody needs to send OP any type of message as regards bitcoin tips when the platform is open for all to learn by asking questions with no much stress just creating a thread and your post says it all. I am still curious as to why OP would drop email here for members to send tips to his/her mailbox to learn.  It is either OP is scouting for a novice to prey on or OP is prepared to meet with his/her waterloo.
I will advise everyone to deal with caution as this is not a good sign from this measures taken by OP.
1831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small Birthday Gift - Bitcoin on: June 23, 2023, 01:55:20 PM
Seriously though, this is a lovely gift that anyone who is interested in bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general will adore getting from their significant other.Sincerely speaking, this is unique, and I would want to imitate it.

I know it is not good to send gifts to the centralized exchanges. During the conversation she said she is interested to learn about trading and for that purpose she had downloaded Binance. While meeting her in person I will brief her better about the security and need for non custodial wallet.

So far, she wants to learn trading, and she was the one that recommended Binance to herself, not bad there, but always try to remind her that exchanges are not reliable despite the reputation they may have gave. for better and stronger security purposes about her bitcoin, let her get a non-custodial wallet, as you said, so that if she has money later to invest more in bitcoin she will think of leaving her Bitcoin in any exchange because if she got familiar with uses  of exchange It will be hard for her moving her coins away from exchanges.

You are absolutely right mate. For her to have recommended binance to you, it means she has gotten more knowledge on bitcoin herself and this would make things much easier for you to teach her.
Like I earlier emphasized, her coin safety is very paramount because it has to do with funds and assets. So therefore, you must be up to the task of putting her through the entire system so she could get acquainted to how it works irrespective of the fact that she has done a little research on it. That should be a plus to her knowledge be she wiu learn and relearn some processes involved for her safety.
1832  Economy / Gambling / Re: l0tt0.com on: June 23, 2023, 01:39:29 PM
it would be just silly to start with 20... the only reason to do that is to be loud.. i'm not loud, i'm strategic and in this for the long haul. ...time and pressure.
Marketing requires budget to spend wisely. If you do not have a budget for 20 or even more then there is no point to go for that. Quickly you will run out of funding and your business will be stuck.  On the other hand, projects who are spending 10K+ or even some unbelievable amounts do not mean they are not strategic. You started with five members, because you feel that's best for you. I don't think anyone should ask any question about it.

Well their pattern of advertising and marketing is not an aggressive one maybe they choose that way as s result of their budget but from experience, I think it would not take them anywhere as it would have no effect on their campaign and project as a whole.
Just as you have opined, it needs more participants to create awareness for people to know what their project is all about. This would touch every part of the platform including local boards too.
I will suggest the team looks into this otherwise they would just be wasting resources when they are not being able to get the attention of the masses  as a result of their campaign funds which is nothing compared to others. If truly they want to grow, they should do the needful as regards their signature campaign.
1833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A no-Bitcoin friend turned a old Bitcoiner on: June 22, 2023, 11:00:34 PM
OP, everyone's safety is paramount to them. I see no wrong if your friend decided not to show you his bitcoin assets or wallet for track. Your friend considers his privacy and thinks of protecting his life which is the major reasons why bitcoin was developed. Every man to his or her own wallet. Nobody can be able to know each very wallet and their owners.
You have done well to bringing your friend into blockchain, teaching him the basics and fundamentals which are commendable but never have in mind or expect them to show you their private wallets after finish learning.
1834  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will there ever be any safe centralised exchange ? on: June 22, 2023, 10:50:16 PM
I really do not think CEX would cease to exist irrespective of what would happen in their nearest future. Although the Crypto space is unpredictable but I believe there is always an alternative to getting things done than pushing the CEX out of market or existence. The CEX  played a great role in the speedy spread of Crypto currencies globally irrespective of the location and laws governing it. Without the CEX, Crypto or blockchain would not have gone this far.
As long as they've been established already and maintains to be liquid, they'll continue to stay. And the only reason that they'll be out on the market or they'll be forced to their closure when there's a pressure from the government. With that, it'll create a fear to the users and from being liquid, that will decrease over time until they're no longer liquid. I think in the near future, there will only be less of them and the ones that are established will remain. Having these news that there have been CEX on development made or supported by the government is gonna be another game changer but we will see the result of it once it's fully operational and everyone gets a touch of it.

If the government choose to trade their CBDCs on CEX  platforms, that's alright as it would give a boast to the cex for their credibility and reliability. This would keep the market moving.
And that's gonna make another demand for them and it's very likely that these CBDCs have no other way of increaseing their demand aside from forcefully making laws to be used by citizens but also to get into these markets of CEX's.

If not stringent rules from the government what else do they do? They are always up to forcefully imposing rules on organizations under them so as to cajole them in doing their biddings. The government knows that her citizens would never do whatever ever they insist on them doing freely without being strict. If the citizens are given free will, me n of them would patronize anything that comes from the government but rather, they will prefer to do things with the private sector and individual organizations rather than doing it having anything with the government.

OP I was wondering if your lotto got all  it takes to operate as I did a search for your license. I did not see anything of that nature then what confidence do you think members here would have doing anything with your lotto.
I have no idea of this question has been asked by anybody but I am still curious to ask as well. Do you require KYC? What is the minimum age limit to take part in the lotto?
Are there restrictions for countries from taking part in the lotto game?
Please do well to answer these questions as they are very important to know.
As far as I know,  I think this casino will not be different from the many others we have around the forum unless for their mode of games which is based on only lottery without other gambling games such as dice,  slot and others.

I am sure a license may not be available since I didn't see them mention that on the website.

License and restrictions are my major concerns because one can not deposit and have a big win and all of a suden, they are told that they are not eligible for the win as a result of their country ip or possibly they start demanding for KYC as a result of the fear of paying out a huge some of money which is not a good one.for their entity as a whole.
1836  Other / Meta / Re: My password was changed on this forum on: June 22, 2023, 10:26:11 PM
OP I think you forgot your login password which promoted the change of password. I would advise you to store your password in a good place so as to avoid excessive changing of password.

Truly if it were to be hackers who got access to your account I believe their first actions will be to change your email so as not to allow you have access to your account here. So the idea of possible hack is not the problem but you forgot your login details.
Reset password is always there for you to use when ever you forget your password mate.

There are a million and one acronyms available to learn. You can Google them for yourself to see and know what they stands for. Here on this platform, there are some threads existing here already so that would be easier for you to read and understand since they are pertaining to this platform.
I could remember I had to do something of that nature here for newbies and those who have no idea what some acronyms stands for.
You can see below the link to the thread for your perusal.

OP, I was wondering with deep thoughts why this thread and from what I can see is that there is no factual basis on which this proposals of yours stands on. I can attest that all merits source are very much active and doing their best to reward those who merit it but OP, if you feel to, you can see the procedure in becoming one is clearly spelt out by the administrator of this platform. So you can do that yourself and stop the complaints. I believe when you get there you too would face same and know what it takes to go through the boards, reading and meriting post that deserves it. Anything outside this is a waste of time OP.
1839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without money, the knowledge is a waste on: June 22, 2023, 08:52:09 PM
It's nice you agreed with it; maybe the OP missed those important parts about bitcoin knowledge. Not only is the example the only method to earn Bitcoin for free, but there are people who have learned about Bitcoin and are being paid the same amount of Bitcoin for attending seminars and teaching others the knowledge they have gathered. They can also earn from participating in online surveys regarding Bitcoin and crypto in general and still get paid for their service, to mention but a few of the many other ways to earn Bitcoin by just getting the knowledge. It's really awkward for one to think that any particular knowledge could be considered waste.
Agreed, there are many ways to earn money with knowledge of bitcoin. I read OP's thread and he only thinks about investing in bitcoin. I think OP have hard times investing money in bitcoin but he can also think about other ways of money if he has the knowledge of bitcoin. Nowadays people sell online courses like crazy, op can make online course with the knowledge he have and can earn more money then most of bitcoin investors. He can use that money to invest in bitcoin.

I think investment is not the problem rather OP was trying to make an emphasis on the importance of money in the society which I think is the current happenings in the society. Of lately, I have come to realize that people tend to go for people  who have fat  bank account than those with the knowledge as they are seen as not serious in life.

When an individual with money speaks, you see they applaud and cheer them up in gatherings because after talking he backs it up with money but when the other with knowledge speaks with nothing to support, they then to mock them as they have nothing to offer. These are the challenges in the present day  society and this is what I think OP was trying to pass accross.
