1821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: December 28, 2016, 05:00:33 PM
i dont feel shameful, i just gamble occasionally and i always gamble with my own spare money, and whenever i gamble i always gamble responsibly and i never created any trouble because of my gambling activity, so i think i dont need to feel bad because i gamble
I done this gambling occasionally but still feeling shameful and never talk openly with friends and family because most of them not like them but I started few months ago silently mostly done on my computer never done practically around my place
I just gamble silently because i just want to be anonymous but never feel that to be shameful.
Im not so proud to be part of bitcoin and to gamble here anonymously and i am happy to part of this project.. that honsetly are giving more benefits as just a gamblers i never feel to be shameful..
Then way you want to play gambling anonymously?
Why not you play it as you play other games. In my country gambling is not legal and consider it as a sin, therefore I like to play it anonymously because people do not look to gamblers with honor.
You can feel proud about something but be afraid that others will find out and make you feel shameful for that. And that's, I guess, this case as well.

I think this is why bitcoin gambling has really propagated the past years. Anonymity has been a really great trait for people who are shy or ashamed of admitting they are gambling. Bitcoin gambling sites gave these people a chance to gamble without being judged as why they gamble. We all gamble for a reason and it does not include a reason to be judged by others.
That's true. But on the other side, because of that, gambling with bitcoin is probably believed to be even worse. In  general many people believe that gambling is used for illegal activities only :/
Because in gambling no one questions where the money comes from. So people who get money from illegal methods just deposits the dirty money into gambling sites then they just withdraw it form the site and declare it as winnings. Hence laundering the dirty money. These are the people who should be ashamed to be gambling. Because they are not really gambling but laundering money.
1822  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do bitcoin poker only sites keep closing? on: December 28, 2016, 04:23:35 PM
Haven't played bitcoin poker for a while, just when I started looking for my old sites they are both closed, I probably even had some chips in there, bitcoin is rising since Trump entered the scene, why are poker sites suffering?
I also find some old poker site has been closed, but I can say its not related to Trump at all. Usually the only reasons why the casino owner decides to close his casino are:
  • only popular because of many promotion, and many people abusing it
  • there is no big whale
  • too much promotions, but it doesnt give impact for new gambler amount and income
  • bad management

Bad management is actually the main reason behind the closure of many poker websites. You have to maintain a balance between what people want and at the same time to keep making profit. Undecided

It's not just that, there are quite a lot more reasons why most of these online poker sites all go down. Mainly there are only a few that patronize online poker rooms probably because it's quite hard to play and slow unlike if you play on other casino games. Also, it's not as amusing to play in online poker games than real poker games.

I think so too. Every time I join poker rooms in online casinos it is mostly empty. Most of it is empty. The ones that are filled are the free ones that give away money for winning the whole tournament. It's mostly hourly tournaments where the pot is just a few mbtc. Which is sad to say is boring. The ones that really have a buy is all empty.
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there a good modified martingale strategy? on: December 28, 2016, 04:12:30 PM
Personally, i want to tell you, In martingale dice game has no strategy, because many time i play it, and in the end i reached the result, it is pure luck base game, In dice i don't think so anyone can say that i have strategy and always win from strategy wise, But if you want to check it out your luck than play it, otherwise don't think that you use the strategy and win in it.

Because gambling is gambling. There is no strategy that will win in gambling. Statistics would tell us that there would be a chance that we would lose more than 100 times even at 90% chance of winning. It might be a very extremely low chance, but it will happen. So I think if you are playing anything just play it and don't ever think it. It's all just luck.
1824  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: December 28, 2016, 04:06:38 PM
It depends on the government. If the government does not accept bitcoin or does not support it, it is very hard to convince local business to choose bitcoin as a currency. In my region, there is only one shop which allow user to pay by Bitcoin. It is like nightmare here. I love Bitcoin but I do not know how to use it in my country
I think this is not depends on the government, we all know there is nothing the government that approves bitcoin, if we are depends to the government of course nobody using bitcoin. We have to be creative so that local businesses can accept bitcoin, simple step is to introduce our business that accept bitcoin, and then we try to do any transaction with bitcoin (send and receive).
It would really hard to impose bitcoin payments on local merchants specially when government is strict when it comes to taxation and if they knew that you are accepting bitcoin in your business then they might be alarmed that you are evading to pay tax and might not pay the exact amount since they can't know how much did you profits or income.

Accepting bitcoins or real money, tax is no different. The government taxes income the same way. It will just depend if the government will impose a tax on every bitcoin transaction for purchases. But regardless if you use bitcoin or real money, what matter is that someone profited. That profited is taxable. What is hard is convincing people to use bitcoin.
1825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can gambling help you with your life? on: December 28, 2016, 03:25:40 PM
Gambling obviously makes my life colorful. It is a type of entertainment which I enjoy most and my parents accept me to involve in this industry. I had gambled for 1 years before I heard about Bitcoin. Now, I can easily gamble because I only use Bitcoin to play Cheesy

It's good that your love ones accept that you gamble. Most people don't accept their love ones gambling as this is a threat to their financial situations. Gambling is indeed fun, but keep it that way. Don't make it rule your world. But it is good to know that there are people that turns to gambling for entertainment and have enough self control not to get addicted or bankrupt.
I also commend your parents for accepting your gambling activity as part only of your entertainment as most of us here might be hiding their activity from their love ones its really hard to expose our gambling activity since most people thinks that it can wrecked a life if we got engaged and got addicted.

I also admit that my loved ones would totally be devastated if they knew that I was gambling. But in truth I don't gamble for profit or trying to get back what I lost, I only do it for fun and just lose less than a dollar whenever I do gamble. However, I still hide my activities just because of the fear of being judged by them. But, it's entertaining for me and I believe it does not hurt anybody nor my finances.

1828  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Where Bitcoin Meets Crowdfunding... on: December 28, 2016, 08:48:31 AM
Its called CROWDFUNDING! Look it up

Current BTC Market Price:

Ƀ1 = $945 USD

Updated 2016-12-28 02:24:02 (EST)
Level   Donation   People/Level   BTC   In USD
1   Ƀ0.05     2                Ƀ0.10   $94.50
2   Ƀ0.05     4                Ƀ0.20   $189.00
3   Ƀ0.10     8                Ƀ0.80   $756.00
4   Ƀ0.20     16                Ƀ3.20   $3,024.00
5   Ƀ0.50     32                Ƀ16.00   $15,120.00
6   Ƀ1.00     64                Ƀ64.00   $60,480.00
Total    Ƀ1.90     126                Ƀ84.30   $79,663.50

That's Right!

You could receive $79,663.50 in donations!

You are a funny person trying to scam people here.

That is not donation. That is called a ponzi scheme or a pyramid scheme in some other countries. You are not legitimately earning anything here. You are just paying off the up-line with the money from the down-line. Don't call it crowdfunding, that is not the correct term. Call it Ponzi Scheme, so we can all go about our lives.

$80k in donations, ha. Real funny.

A gambling will surely wreck your life and you bank, not just your bankroll. It is hard to get out of this addiction similar with getting out of drug addiction, this is why there are also rehabs for gambling addicts and also a gambler's anonymous support group. Trying to recover losses is a sign of being an addict, especially when that person tries to deposit more as his bankroll and loses it again and again till he is broke.

Not to mention all this tips and tricks in the internet all almost and always not true. They would just claim something through those videos and tell everybody it's the best method ever. Some people even make guides about it and try to convince people to join their affiliate link. I tried a lot too, all of them just made me lose money. It never did give me any profit but losses.
1835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you gamble your (or your child's) school fund? on: December 22, 2016, 11:39:48 AM
Well, I would say that I did this back in 2014. My mother already deposited all the money I need to pay for school for the year and also some allowance for my daily needs. I gambled around half of it on NBA odds. I lost that half. So I lived on really cheap food and really avoided buying anything. I even tried to avoid buying things I need like books just to save money. Was a gruesome year for me, luckily I got through. Wouldn't do that again.

How bout you guys, would you do it?
I am a very interested in psychology of gamblers. So I want to ask you serious question: what would you do if instead of losing half of your money you won?
Would you stop then grab money and call it a good day? I am more inclined to say that you would gamble until a loss, to push boundaries of your luck.

At the time I was a stupid college kid so I don't know. I initially profited in my first few weeks. I remember earning $30 a day from my activities. But then it all turned sour in the middle and it turn really ugly by the end. I was betting $30 on each game on straights of NBA odds. In the first few weeks I was doing really good with three game parlays which really profited. I thought I was invincible after the first week. Then I lost most of the games every week and the winnings disappeared and I incurred loses instead.
1836  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you should Buy bitcoin now on: December 22, 2016, 10:38:24 AM
$100 increase just in a day or two. That is why! Bitcoin is so profitable that's why I bought some before it went up this much. I wish I was able to get one bitcoin at least but I didn't have enough money to buy more. I wasn't able to maximize my profit from the sudden price increase. But it seems that the price is still going up. I am hopeful that it continues to grow.
1837  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: December 22, 2016, 06:00:03 AM
This is the right moment to immediately rich, bitcoin already many make a rich man with a very easy way. just buy a bitcoin, hold and wait for 1 year or more and then we would be rich. come on, don't wait any longer.
Save bitcoin as much as you can guys, that's one key and withdraw it 5 years from now, and come back here to tell everyone your income.
Getting rich in bitcoin is very easy as long as you know how to hold your bitcoin wisely, don't spend it yet and you will see.

That would be a good idea. However this would limit you to only how much bitcoin you held starting from today. Maybe a better option is to use that savings to invest into something profitable and grow your money. Saving it will only give you profits based on how much the price of bitcoins increased. But what if it doesn't increase after five years? Then you just have the same amount of money.

Another one of those similar to seconds trade. Where you only have to deposit in their address and it automatically determines whether you lose or win and if you win they will send the amount back into your address. What's so innovative here? I would like to see something new once you launch if not, it's misleading to say it's innovative.
1840  Economy / Gambling / Re: ODD or EVEN win 185% | Provably on: December 22, 2016, 05:21:08 AM
The chance to hit ODD or EVEN = 5 odd numbers and 5 even numbers is 50%?

When I bet $100 and lose = $100 gone

When I bet $100 and win = $100 x 1.85 = $185

As the chance is 50:50, I will statistically win every 2nd time and will get 15% less than the $100 I lost the bet before. Therefore, my expected value per bet is -15% : 2 = -7,5%. So your house edge is 7,5% per bet? Correct me if I misunderstood something.

Exactly the point! The house edge here is so high. No one should even consider playing it as in the long run no bettor will win this even at 50% chances! I don't know if the owner understands why there are a lot of people complaining about the house edge and he doesn't care. He just keeps on repeating his words as his reply.
