1821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin to give ridiculous pumping?? on: January 26, 2023, 10:00:42 AM
Will there be another alt coin that has given ridiculous pumping like Dogecoin in the future?
Tell me what you think.
Any altcoin can pump but nothing specific can be said by anybody. It all depends on how the pump happens and how the ones running these pump groups wish to run their money.

Maybe if another celeb comes in and chips with their shitcoin it might pump to huge amounts, but you have to to fast to sell off that coin while the pump is in progress, otherwise you lose the chance to sell and you will be left with nothing but shitcoins.

These are difficult to predict things like a jackpot in a casino. It is better to not waste your thoughts on such things rather focus on buying bitcoin or maybe the top altcoins at low price planning to sell at high.
1822  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a trading strategy becomes obsolete? on: January 26, 2023, 08:53:43 AM
Remember also that every coin has their own features, hence, you can't apply the known strategy that you know of.
Each project is unique, so it depends on their performance on the market how you will attack them.
It means, you will not run out of strategy because there are so many and it is not specific to a certain coin.
The major strategy is the same for most of the coins. Your basic should be to buy low and then sell high. Nothing more needs to be given importance, just treat the assets as numbers forget for the time being that someone has created the project and attempting to sell it the people.

The less emotionally attached you become, the more successful you will be in trading.

Quote
What you can do better is learn more about the project, its progress and what do you think is the plan of its developers?
One thing I might say here is that the developers are never going to help you in any manner, take their words with a grain of salt. This mistrust is highly prevalent in the crypto community and the project owners have done nothing to improve the situation.
1823  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on revenge trading? on: January 25, 2023, 05:15:30 PM
Inexperienced traders are those who still practice revenge trading. It is better to let lost money go and focus on the future and that is why the chart is analysed for the future happening. Go to the market fresh after every closed trade and not to feel that you want to get back what was lost, you are going to allow your emotions decide what you should do instead of having a good grasp of the market analysis.
Controlling emotions is not important but necessary in trading, otherwise its going downhill no matter what. Most newbies are making this mistake more often than it gets reported on this forum but I guess veteran traders are also prone to making the same. So it should be a lesson for every one who is involved in actively trading at current times.

No amount of emotionally driven trades would recover money lost. In spot trading you still own the opposite asset which you can sell in future, so all is not lost. In other forms of trading, which is basically an EV- game, you are out of luck and you should not try to chase the loss.
1824  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your successes over the past 5 years on: January 25, 2023, 04:56:18 PM
Your successes over the past five years: How well have you managed to increase the balance on your account during this time?
By taking part in signature campaigns, I learnt alot of how people perceive cryptocurrency and how they compare it to different other things in our times like freedom and free speech and also the abuse of free speech.

I did accumulate bitcoins during this time but I kept the altcoins to a bare minimum. I usually trade long term with ranges between months to a year. I dont have the need of quick earnings and neither do I have to loans to repay so I can invest at my ease and leisure. This I feel is lacking among many users of this forum. Short term day trading is not for everyone and I dont recommend it.
1825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which company will be next to accept Bitcoin? on: January 25, 2023, 04:49:44 PM
In my country due to the teep tax slab it is not easy for any company or vendors to accept Bitcoin as an alternate mode of payment. Still there are a few startups that are accepting Bitcoin or giving away Bitcoin. I hope to see in the future more startups coming up with new systems or technology to encourage the local population in using Bitcoin. At the moment the Bitcoin community in my country are either using it as an alternative investment option or for trading.
I feel that tax slab too bro, which is why giftcards are the mainstay for spending bitcoin for me and my fellow bitcoiners. We might see gradual changes in the crypto-related taxation in future if more people start accepting crypto and demand the government to make rules and regulations regarding its transaction.

We as an individual should also attempt to educate our fellow peers and younger generation about crypto and its usefulness. Just watching big names accept crypto is not everything, we need smaller businesses to jump into the fray once they have got their numbers stable.
1826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which company will be next to accept Bitcoin? on: January 24, 2023, 08:01:49 AM
I would be more than happy to just see my local grocery supermarket accept crypto for a start instead of dreaming about some big name accepting crypto.

While it is a wet dream of many bitcoin users to see big e-commerce giants to start taking bitcoin, I am still waiting on that.

Ar present I can buy giftcards from bitrefill and pay for buying stuff with that but I would go with a more streamlined approach. Let's remain more  "down to earth walking on our feet" than go long shot on pipe dreams.
1827  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading or Investing in the stock market on: January 24, 2023, 07:58:52 AM
Which is the best?  Trading on bitcoin or investing in the stock market? The battle between short period earning and long-term earning. Share your thought about it.
Nothing is best in this world. Every thing has its pros and cons and you have to decide which one cons are acceptable to you while you enjoy the pros.

There is no similarity between long vs short and stocks vs crypto so I am not sure why you put that question in the post.

Stock markets are regulated and have been under centralized control. Many stocks are kept for long term and often they are paying out dividends to holders. Bitcoin is a more recent asset class and it is also for the long term for most old timers, it's market are not regulated and takes more strict security measures to keep safe.

I have personally come from a stock market background and added bitcoin to my portfolio. Have been doing both and I will definitely continue like that.
1828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is The level of impact of FTX crash on Your portfolio? on: January 24, 2023, 07:54:30 AM
Actually what happened on FTX coin clash, really affect the rate of cryptocurrency market industries, which also liquidated so many people in future trading as a result of Lost of funds in the portfolio exchange, therefore FTX coin still making impact to increased or recovery from the initial price, which is also have the chance to invest more for the future profits.
Futures only depend on the market price to be able to predict so this was natural. The thing that rocked one market will affect its derivatives too. Now that the dust has settled we can retrospectively say that investing in that coin may have been a poor decision. But we cannot predict which hack or bankruptcy will happen next.

Hence portfolios should be kept on the minimum number of altcoins and th maximum number of Bitcoins. This goes for everyone for newbie to veterans. While an altcoin rich portfolio can perform well too but that is rare to see. Again in such adverse events altcoin maxed folios will suffer the most.
1829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to profit from altcoins collapses? on: January 23, 2023, 12:05:27 PM
Is it possible to profit from collapses of altcoins? Do you have any ideas how to?
Practically "short selling" can profit from the drop in price, sell now and buy it later at the lower price. But in real markets, this is difficult to execute neatly.

If you dont have the guts to do that, then you should just hold and wait for it to go back up again, which might take years or worse decades. The damage that you see on buying altcoins cannot be corrected but needs to be prevented by taking a vow to never divulge your hard earned money into altcoins but be loyal to bitcoin only.

The more you fill your bag with shitcoins, well, the more it will smell like shit. Grin
1830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tell me about the coin portfolio. on: January 23, 2023, 12:01:22 PM
Tell me about your coin portfolio weight.
Do you mainly invest assets in Bitcoin and Ethereum?
Or do you usually invest your assets in Altcoin?
I usually invest 70-80% of my assets in Ethereum.
90% in bitcoin while the rest in ethereum and some altcoins. My interest in altcoins reduced in a few months when I first started because of their lack of transparency and easy bankruptcy in a bear market that hit newly launched altcoins hard.

Hence I currently invest in bitcoin as much as possible. To me every other altcoin ends up being a liability and a source of loss.

Do you think the current rise in Bitcoin and other altcoin is real? I think it's a fake.
Why dont you explain why you think it is "fake"? The data on aggregator sites is pooled from different exchanges and they would not all be lying about their stats for many days. They cant just fake that data and allow every site to put that up without making some news headlines in CoinTelegraph or so on.
1831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin always shames social media experts. on: January 23, 2023, 11:52:35 AM
Satoshi would never have any control over the price of bitcoin or predict it. It does not matter that they created the asset, the price depends on supply demand balance and not any centralized authority - that is why it is called decentralized.

However the predictions that you see on the social media are rarely done to actually predict anything.

You see the normal human nature is to follow someone when it comes to something that is tough to do on your own, predicting an asset price over time is one such thing. So we move to internet to help us out and when such people see that a social media person is posting such things, they follow. That is why such pages or profiles get so much followership.
1832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Good the bad and the ugly side of airdrops on: January 23, 2023, 11:39:34 AM
most of the airdrops are scams. that's one of the main reasons I avoid this kind of airdrop because it's not worth the time and results we get. if you are still interested in the airdrop then that's fine because all decisions depend on you, but remember if they ask you to do KYC then it's better to ignore it. Your personal data is much more important than just to claim the airdrop coins.
The coins being distributed through AirDrops are mostly shitcoins that are in 99% of cases bound to not rise and only be a hype among some shills. The owners take the advantage of this shilling to sell off their coins and drain the bitcoins from fooled newbies while cashing out themselves and exiting. Added to that is the risk of identity theft through the airdrop signup forms. Cant help it is people are so foolish as to give their personal information to internet strangers and hope to get gold in return.

Again the world is full of fools and that is why such scams thrive.
1833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice on choosing a crypto casino on: January 22, 2023, 08:04:12 AM
As I understand the crypto casino involves paying in different cryptocurrencies, and the bitcoin casino involves only bitcoins. How to choose a casino, is there a criterion for this, or do you just go to any casino and play?
The ones who have a reputation on this forum and have a history of solving disputes in a neutral manner, less hacks and a lenient KYC system should be given preference. But there lies personal preference too, someone might have some specific need in mind which might be available on few casinos, these are in general points.

Quote
It's a rash move without preparation. Also interested in a payment system, which is recommended to play in such casinos? Or just a suitable crypto wallet? I apologize for my silly questions, but I want to understand everything once and for all.
You use your crypto wallet to keep track of your holdings. You have to send coins from the wallet to the casino when you want to use it for the games. You can use any of the commonly used wallets but that is another topic for discussion.

Obviously you should learn how to secure your wallets before you start buying bitcoin or altcoins.
1834  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding could be better on: January 21, 2023, 05:43:10 AM
That's how trading is that we can't keep making profits because there will be times when we lose, trading is also not that easy because it requires preparation, in holding self-control or controlling emotions is so important and indeed it is difficult to practice.
In spot trading at long term, the bear market is the accumulating phase. The loss here is only on the unrealized PnL. In the bull market you sell those same assets to get a profit plus your capital back, which you reinvest in the bear market. So there can be nothing easier than this. The only difficulty is the patience that you need keep and the grits to select the buy/sell price without regret.

Day trading on the other hand is way more risky and needs quick decision making and often staying online for long periods or at least running a bot to monitor the market. I dont recommend day trading to everyone, unless someone has a serious knack for it.
1835  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are the Whales Control bitcoin price? on: January 21, 2023, 05:28:04 AM
Bitcoin is not controlled by anyone, nor can whales control the market price. But whales play a big role in price manipulation. They try to create a panic message spread through a large number of trades to trigger certain actions in the market.
Both Whales and the weak hands keep the market liquid, added to it the influencers who shill coins help in pump and dump. A lot of factors are in play here and our goal is to get the best possible price for a coin and move with that. It is incorrect to say that a specific money hoarding group is making the market move or calling the shots, rather an interplay.

Panic is created by the people who have bought at high prices and now finding that they are in loss and thus they panic sell. It is a wrong move to buy at the top, but you can still recover it or break even if you are patient enough.

However the weak hands catch this and they easily panic causing the whales to accumulate more - to counter this, one needs to think like the whale, go opposite of what the weak hands are doing.
1836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody else confused by the dead-coins pump ? on: January 20, 2023, 02:10:40 PM
This will attract some people to participate. And this project will carry out a lot of publicity and hype, so that more people can participate. When people buy greedily, when they feel their funds reach a certain amount. There will be a lot of selling. Some crypto novices were forced to lose their funds, which also led to some people leaving the crypto world.
The novices who lose money is not a small amount, that loot is voluminous enough to make these scammers run more pump and dumps. Just think about how many noobs are fooled into buying coins that are suddenly pumping - they have no idea that this forum exists where we try to warn people not to fall for these scams but are blinded by the PnD groups.

These hypes often start with social media and therefore those of us who are in social media actively should avoid listening to anyone online talking about these coins or trying to hype them. Dead coins are dead, dont try to play with them, you will get burnt out.
1837  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Many signals don't work now like they use to be on: January 20, 2023, 02:07:29 PM
If you can build trading knowledge, it is easy to check whether the signals will work or not and you can avoid taking wrong trades. But when a trader tries to trade using third party signals without any trading knowledge, they will face losses. So relying on other's signals for trading is not the right decision. Many traders make huge profits from altcoin trading, so altcoin trading is not always bad if you have a good knowledge of crypto trading.
I would like to point out that giving out such "signals" can be done by anyone who has a crafty mindset with a basic knowledge of how the market works. It does not need to be accurate because the groups are anonymous and nobody is coming after the owner in case they fuck up.

To be honest, it is a type of a scam where they pump the coins that are owned by them while the owners of the group dump. But you dont need to be a pro trader to understand this, rather your intuition is enough of how it works.

Learn trading on your own, see how to analyse the charts and if nothing goes in your head, just buy low and sell high - that much even a newbie can do if they have patience.
1838  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am Bullish On Bitcoin Despite Bear market on: January 20, 2023, 02:03:55 PM
Smart investors create a bull market.
Smart investors make money from the market, they are not the reason of a bull market. Rather smart investors will sell in a bull market making it a bear market and so it might seem as if they caused the bear market, which is again a false narrative.

Being bullish like I said, takes courage and knowledge about previous days of that asset. Not everyone has the guts to make such predictions and therefore new investors find it difficult to conclude that future days of the same asset would be good.

However it is a cycle and watching it closely one can opine over the course of a few years that indeed investing in bitcoin at low prices means profits. That is what a smart investor has in the back of their mind.
1839  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tutored or you learned how to trade? on: January 19, 2023, 04:29:51 PM
Having no mentor is the reason why I'm on and off in trading and become lazy to learn. I just do copy trading but still no luck. The trader started to lose after a few days when I followed. That even took away my remaining hope. Learning trading on your own is something very hard to do even with lots of tutorials on YT. What's even harder is to find a mentor that is willing to take you despite his/her busy schedule.
Nobody will mentor you everyday. If you are on and off from trading it means your daily schedule might be a busy one. In cases I think it is better if you do long term trading, buy maybe today and sell like 4months later when price hits a new all time high. That way the stress on your shoulder is less and you are still making profits. Of course this would never yield profits like what day traders end up doing but your point is never that. Day traders are professional traders who trade for money or teach trading for money, more often the second one.

If you simply follow the buy low sell high method you are more often going to make money without the need of a mentor.
1840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why most of airdrops don't pay participants with tokens in these days?? on: January 19, 2023, 04:16:20 PM
What could be the reason ?? comment your ideas specially OGs. this is for you.
Specific airdrops might have their specific problems but in general airdrops are often scamming their participants after collecting some sort of personal data from them in the first place. It is the cost of being greedy for the so-called "free money". While you could get some legit coins through airdrops who were running properly, you are less likely to find such projects nowadays.

Be on the lookout to make money but if it is given for free, be careful that you dont end up giving away your own data to such an extent that might get you into trouble. Because there are loads of low income country users in this forum who just want to accumulate shitcoins hoping for something big, they easily get fooled by such airdrops.
