128 different numbers is oddly specific. Are there gonna be any errors auctioned off?
No.

128 = 2^7

It started with my Bitcoin Hatching, limited to 16 or 1111 in binary, which is 2^4.
Decided to stick to these numbers.

Sweet!  Cant wait to get mine.
Thanks. Coming soon to your destination of choice. Smiley

Btw: The raffle will be started today or tomorrow.

This will be an automatic raffle. If you purchased 1 - 2 cards, you get 1 slot, 3 - 6 cards gets 2 slots and 7+ cards gets 3 slots. All details will be made in a seperate post.

Thank you for sharing! I already have one, but when I tried to verify your code, I was promoted by Honey to check for discounts and found another valid one called HODLNAUT60, which says you $47.40 (60%).

Wow, that's a really nice discount. Just did some reading on the device. https://99bitcoins.com/hardware-wallets/keepkey-review/
Thinking about gettin one or two.
Anyone who wants to share their personal experience?

Actually looks nicer than Ledger imho.

1830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You may not like CSW... on: June 03, 2019, 02:37:29 PM
But you cannot say he is not Satoshi the inventor of Bitcoin.  After all, look at all of his patents and now even the US government is awarding copyrights to him which can ONLY be given to the original author.  It's a fact: CSW is Satoshi.

Cry all you like, you won't change the facts.
Where did you get your troll certificate? I want one, too. <3

On a serious note: You do realize anyone could have claimed that copyright for them. The copyright claim happens automatically for anyone trying it.
NOTHING IS PROVEN, expecpt the fact that CSW is a lying, attention seeking POS. So nothing new really.
1831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Thoughts on Satoshis Holdings and Supercomputing on: June 03, 2019, 02:18:53 PM
I am fully aware this is a highly spekulative topic. So I am not expecting clear answers, but hope to get some input from people that are very familiar with how the speed of super-computers is evolving and expected to evolve over the next 10 - 50 years.
And also hear the opinion of people that have some deeper insights into exploiting hashing algorithm vulnerabilities etc.

I am wondering, if at some point in time over the next decades, it will be profitable (and possible at all), to brute-force one or more of Satoshi private keys.

Here are my thoughts:
- It seems Satoshi is supposed to have 1148800 BTC unspent Bitcoin (are there any newer numbers than from 2013?).
Source: https://bitslog.com/2013/04/17/the-well-deserved-fortune-of-satoshi-nakamoto/
Now, I am not sure, what the largest balance is, that he is holding in one address. If anyone has some date here? This would be our first factor (1).

- Even though the acceleration of computational speed has slowed down due to the fact that lower-and-lower nm technology is physically not possible any more, processors have contunied to get faster over the last years.
The second relevant factor (2) would be, how the evolution of processing speed continues over the next decades to come.
Right now there are already a ton of incredibly fast super computer all around the globe. The thought of a continuing development and the possibility to combine their processing power, gives me the impression that it might not be totally unrealistic to be able to calculate private keys at some point in time. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOP500

- Supercomputer and energy to keep them running costs resources / a lot of money. So the last relevant factor would be the price per Bitcoin (3).
We have seen an incredible price development within Bitcoin's first 10 years of existence, so a BTC price of $100k or more seems quite feasible for many, looking at a time span of the next 5, 10, 20 or more years to come.

Now, what I would like to know, if we experiment with different factors for (1), (2) and (3) what are still in a realistic realm (from our current point of view and the date we have today) is it possible to reach a point within the next 10 - 50 years, where brute forcing one or some of SNs private keys will happen, because it's A) possible and B) profitable.
Really interested to hear some reasonable opinions on that topic.

Of course there are things like quantum computers and the possibility of other discoveries that might accelerate the process - but let's neglegt these totally unpredictable factors for now, just to keep this already complex topic a little more realistic. Wink

Another update, more delay.  Undecided
One of the shipments for the metal chips (placed on the card, below the hologram+ privkey) went missing. It took a while to inquire about it, now expecting replacement within the next 10 days.
I am sorry about the delay and will keep you posted about any updates on the matter..

1835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: May 29, 2019, 10:27:48 AM
I made this silly video some of you guys may appreciate:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHnnj2noPak

Thought I'd share it here for any of you guys that are too cool to visit le reddit.

Love it, sorry out of merit right now, sure deserves some!

Also, I got an important question:

- I want to verify a balance of a certain address WITHOUT exposing the private (spend) key.

Using this tool, I managed to verify balances in the past, using the public address, tx-id and spend-key: https://xmr.llcoins.net/checktx.html
However, when I try with these three right now, it doesn't work. I am wondering, if the tool is somehow "down", or if there is a problem on my end?
Can someone check this? Tried with Firefox and in Chrome, same "result", when I put in all three parameters and press CHECK, *nothing* happens.

Thanks

PS: Also would appreciate if someone could guide me to an other method (maybe using the GUI wallet?) on how to easily prove a XMR balance without private spend key import.

That tool uses MoneroBlocks to fetch transactions. MoneroBlocks may have been temporarily offline and/or stuck.

With respect to a guide, have you looked at?

https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/2868/is-there-any-way-to-construct-a-transaction-manually/

The first steps of that guide allow one to set up a proper view only wallet that shows incoming transactions, outgoing transactions, as well as a proper balance.

Appreciate the answer. Will take a closer look at the manual construction.
However, the tool works now. Must have been a temporary offline issue as you said.
1836  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Block Character hashes aren't that "random" on: May 26, 2019, 10:00:33 PM
2.5% difference? Seems like normal variance on a relatively small sample size of only 576000 to me. But not sure. Will ask a pro. Wink

Interesting topic, though and especially cool, that you came up with a statistic for the lsdt characters of block hashes.
1837  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [POLL] PLEASE HELP ME NAME MY NEW CUSTOM BITCOIN PAINTING! on: May 26, 2019, 08:00:10 PM
Just quickly stopping by to say, first impression is fantastic!  Shocked Cool

Will take a closer look later and try to think about a good name (not good at naming projects, though).

Just got my Tie and Kerchief. (Thanks again, Ramelius!)

- They look fantastic, material is better than anticipated. I think the pictures here don't do it justice.

Also a big thanks to vizique for the extra.   Shocked Cheesy
1840  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] BITCOIN-BEE-HIVE | 2-sided card (DIN A5 big format) - special offer inside on: May 25, 2019, 12:38:38 PM
You haven't answered regarding the holo.
I also were wondering about those sets, it says no exact number of whats avaible and their pricing, try making it clear what you have avaible and it's price, mostly so I save on shipping and well time asking.

Hello nofreecoins,

Your reservation has been updated.

Thanks for your questions.
Regarding the hologram: All cards come with a unique stamp and serial. However a hologram mostly makes sense on funded objects. These are just cards to put on a wall or give to crypto-friends, so no holo needed.

For the sets: You are free to combine any serials of two or three different cards. You can see which one are abailable here:
10 years annicersary card: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5115481.msg49965895#msg49965895
Bitcoin flower card: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5136774.msg50796402#msg50796402
Just send me a pm if you want to add cards to your purchase. The discount will apply.
