Shame on kenobi for turning into a scammer.

I like the idea of his website, and offered to take over the operations, but never heard anything.

Probably better if I choose to start a new one anyway.

Any suggestions for a reputable member to provide that kind of service?
i think thats a bit too early to call him scammer lets wait a bit more and if he does not get back then he scammed people

Bit too early?

Its been Feb 20th the last time we heard anything from him.

We understand that hostings fail and people are busy but all he would have to do is just reply to the thread that he is working on it.

The site is 100% down and will NEVER EVER be back up again.

Its been 2 weeks already!

Who is this CryptosKees dude? Is he credible?
18383  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MegaBigPower Opens Buyback for Unprofitable Bitcoin Miners on: March 05, 2015, 08:33:26 PM
I don't know why anybody is surprised here.

They are buying relatively new hardware such as the S3 and if they only pay 0.02kwh then it worthwhile for them. I got ROI in 40 days with my S3+ that I paid $75 with 0.00kwh electricity. So for them probably paying similar amounts they will ROI within 2 months or so.

After a few months they can always liquidate the hardware on eBay.

The problem is how much are they willing to pay. Most likely not much. I am guessing $50 per S3.

18384  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Feb 22 to March 9 diff thread with contest included. on: March 05, 2015, 08:26:30 PM
Yes these hashrates are pretty much impossible to predict.

The price is almost 30% higher then it was a few weeks ago and then the difficulty started rising, but now with the higher price is halts.

Makes no sense.
18385  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: March 05, 2015, 11:07:22 AM
The withdrawal limit used to be 50,000 satoshi for a very long time. It was only until quite recently that it was changed to  100,000 satoshi. Other than discouraging faucet abuse, my guess is that this has to do with the lower BTC price as well. 50,000 satoshi was worth about $0.25 during most of 2014. Today, 100,000 BTC is worth about $0.25 so the end result is pretty much the same.

FTFY.
If the withdrawal limit is 100,000 btc, no one in the world can afford to play on PD except satoshi lol. Cheesy

He means 0.00100000BTC.

The reason it was raised was to combat the faucet abusers probably. Has nothing to do with the BTC/USD range.
18386  Economy / Gambling / Re: I made a calculator for calculating investment return on the major casinos on: March 05, 2015, 11:05:48 AM
Its a nice calculator but honestly there is just too much risk in investing in any casinos. Either some whale will eat up your BTCs, or the site will get hacked or just shut down. Maybe if there was regulation

There you see it=

0.47000000   16xEiXWVmgCkb8muTL7yQKrRTHNHyKyhN1

This withdraw never came to my Xapo.com bitcoin wallet, its been 18 hours

On Xapo.com deposits show up after 2 confirmations, this transaction has more then 2 confirmations

I'm basically missing 0.470

A quick look at the blockchain clearly shows we processed his withdrawal properly (TxID: f14733ff26eca708af1c115c36e6dd29b1e02005b8e5e3bcd225c161f8ec75d1). He claims has has contacted Xapo support, who have said that address never received coins, which is clearly false going by the tx above. My attempts to help him have mostly been met with him resending the exact same PM back to me repetitively and not answering any of my questions.

YOU RIPPED ME OFF! I TOLD YOU I CALLED XAPO THAVE NO RECORD OF THE DEPOSIT! ):

WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME ? IM A GOOD PERSON I DONT DESERVE TO ME???

if you refund me my missing bitcoins I'll continue to use 777coin.com

At the moment I feel ripped off/scammed by 777coin they stole 0.4700= $130 from me  ):

THATS FUCKED UP MAN, I WORKED HARD FOR THAT CASH AND YOU GUYS STOLE IT

In the future before you start shouting just contact the admin directly and see if the issue can be resolved. I know you are angry but your posts are very rude.
18388  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Got ROI in 40 days with my Antminer S3+ on: March 05, 2015, 09:49:31 AM
I looked into the S1 but even if I got offered the units for free they weren't worth the trouble. I rather just turn on my GPUs.

They are noisy and even if you have free electricity they make 180Gh/s and use over 400Watts. Not worth using up a PSU.

Maybe if I had a bunch of server PSUs where I could power 3 of them with one unit.
18389  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Wow! KnC Neptunes are insanely cheap on Ebay! on: March 05, 2015, 09:44:42 AM
So what is the difference between the Neptunes and the Jupiters.

I got a few Jupiters and they seem rock-solid.

Yes I am surprised its only at 3%, with the increase in price I assumed it would jump 10% or so.
18392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 05, 2015, 12:07:59 AM
When is the Bitcoin auction? Tomorrow.

It might have an effect on the price if they bid higher then current market value like it did back in July

Issues with hosting. Will be resolved ASAP. All balances are safe, and have nothing to do with hosting.

Hey where are you? Update us please!

So I am pretty sure he is either on vacation, died, has no internet, or has ran off with our money.

Anyone know where this website was hosted? What country? I am guessing China or USA?

I think 95% of the energy is dissipated as heat, the rest is processing power, light, and fan noise.

18395  Economy / Gambling / Re: From 650 Bitcoins to one: Why you should never gamble on: March 03, 2015, 03:49:41 PM
You claim 600 BTC were pure profit, so you pretty much just lose what you've won which isn't so bad. Many get into debt due to mining and get relationship and health problems. Its good you are aware of the issue. Its only money and could of been worse.
18396  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Got ROI in 40 days with my Antminer S3+ on: March 03, 2015, 03:09:49 PM
My electricity technically isn't free, its more like a fixed cost thats included with my other utilities, whether I use 1kwh or 1000kwh it all costs the same. And yes in the winter typically in old buildings many have to use electricity to heat their apartments because insulation is very bad and the built-in heaters don't work very well.

In my area many old buildings are like this probably because we have the cheapest electricity rates in north america.

My buddy is a student at the university and he gets free electricity at his dorm. My IT friend gets free electricity with his lease at work. So I have no idea why everybody is upset because I have the advantage of " free electricity".

The point of this thread wasn't to brag but to show that its actually possible to make money with mining. Even if I had to pay for electricity I would of got ROI soon anyways.

I would never be mining if 75% of my mining revenue went straight to pay my power bill, it just doesn't make sense. I would rather sell the miners and buy BTC directly.

This game is so intense some times, like you see it at x20 and it keeps going x50 and you are like FUCK should i stop now or be a greedy motherfucker

Yeah I know. Best to play this game with a shot of Vodka. It calms your nerves and you might actually win something.

FEAR IS YOUR ONLY ENEMY!!!!!
18399  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Got ROI in 40 days with my Antminer S3+ on: March 03, 2015, 09:06:21 AM
So much hate in this thread I don't understand why.

YES its with a second hand S3, its not smart buying any new miners and paying retail.

and YES its with free electricity, its not smart mining if you are paying for electricity.

This is really a big milestone what Prime Dice has achieved 4 billion bets shows it is very trusted site by its players from around the globe and it is going very well in gambling industry.

Well one of the reasons for that is that it was one of the very first and longest running. So congrats to the site.
