I had the same issue. Restart your pc and do it again. It worked after that. have the same isue,when i run nis it pops and disapiers instantly open a cmd line and enter java. tell me what you see. |

since im a stakeholder, i have a creative original idea to offer to our DEV.
make NEM coins with NO DECIMALS. the smallest unit is 1 NEM.
no 0.xxxxxxx , UNdivisible! this is unique feature.
pls try to imput this feature into our coins.
That's not a feature dude. Say 1 NEM is one day worth 1 USD. How are you planning to pay for your 50 cent chocolate bar ? Imagine the smallest unit of BTC would be 1 BTC. Yeah, go ahead and pay 500 USD for whatever. |

People might want to check out the Honorcoin thread. BTT accounts were hacked. Some of these accounts also have NEM accounts. This guy is one, taken from the koracoin thread "NO only qiwoman2 my qiwoman account has been hacked so if anyone is using that it isn't me. Unfortunately I tried to get it back but have had no response from the Admins on this forum so have had to create qiwoman2 Cry Whoever is using my old qiwoman account is the hackers associated with the honorcoin registrations where myself and many of my friends here got their accounts hacked, so it's the old honorcoin admins who stole all our bitcointalk accounts and I am surprised that our voices have fallen on deaf ears here and not been able to get our accounts back. Cry Please disregard whoever is using my qiwoman account obviously they are the scammers probably using all the hacked accounts to get shares. MINE IS ONLY qiwoman2." I hope there is a plan, to package the NIS as chrome packaged app, so i can simply start is like a real app.
The entire thing will be one-click installable. After that you'll have a shortcut as for any other programm and can start it with that. It will also be auto-updateing. We're planning to release that during the open-alpha. |

The price is plummeting because there is no software as promised. It's June 25th in all timezones.
I'm not entirely sure what your definition of 'plummeting' is... You will soon see what I mean if the alpha is not released today. First off this is what you get when you have developers that are proud of what they're doing. Gimre and Bloody were hunting down details the entire day  ETA is 1,5 hours. Bugs that were found int he closed alpha are squashed and the devs are packaging everything right now. Btw it's only 8 am in Honolulu so the 25th is still young in some parts of the world |

Ok, Im going to take full responsibility for taking a break from the thread. My fault totally!! But who in the world voted for that logo  It is a.... What came in second? How did that win? Please dont tell me now that UP left, things are just... well If the IMO very strong opinion REALLY BAD LOGO was chosen by the community than fine. You have different taste than me. Maybe its me that has it wrong and the logo is amazing. When UP was here last I heard there was going to be a choice out of a few for the community to decide on. Where is the list of those. And why is the much much better logo on CMC? And on the stake thread? I got really funny feeling Im not going to like these answers. Because Ive looked back thru the thread and dont see any voting going on??? clearly you didn't look through the thread thoroughly This is just an interim logo. No one voted for it. There will be a vote for the final logo this was just to have something for the time being. We don't vote yet as we wan't some pro company come up with a whole branding for NEM. |

so I see in 6 hours NEM is released, I'm no stake holder so I would like to buy NEMstake. Do I need to send them somewhere else before the 6 hours window or comment here or how would I convert the NEMstake to NEM later?

You will be able to convert your NEMStake to actuall nem after the release which is still months away. The exact process isn't worked out yet. |

Is nice to see NEM stake value increase but I think this could also lead to another problem
that the stake could become so expensive that other people will be reluctant to join.
The question is what(how) can we do to increase NEM user base even more before the
complete release of the coin and the NEM stake becomes to expensive (valuable)?!
a trusted member of the nem community could issue nem stakes on the AE divisible by 100 rather than 10. the stakes coming from the stakes to be auctioned or elsewhere. come distribution the devs distribute the stakes as they would to those who claimed plus the stakes to the trusted member who would then distribute the coins to those who claim the stakes that they bought off him. main distributor(who ever is in control of stakes) > ~10 stakes > sub distributor sells on AE(amounts down to .01 of a stake all set to sell at the market price set by the main market) > buyers, buyers(nxt payed for stakes) > sub distributor > main distibutor there is no extra work created for main devs/distributor, as it would be passed on to the sub distributor. every one with out enough to buy .1 on main market could buy on the mini market. thoughts? I think that would be a great idea! You could call it little NEM stake, to avoid confusion? Anyone can issue mini-tokens as long as he is credible. XCP anyone ? I know it's a lot of work, but in my opinion it should make patmast3r or one of the devs, as only they stand for NEM I don't think this will happen. Stake distribution and handling refunds, complaints and what not is a nightmare as it is. I don't want to bring even more complexity into it by adding another AE to the mix. |

Thanks. What is your ubuntu version?! It seems I will have to reinstall my laptop with one of the latest distros i don't see my distro mentioned on this page. It will be big PITA if i have to do this. I don't like to change things that are running smoothly. I'm on 13.10 but I'd just try it no matter the version of os you're on. Can't do worse than fail |

No logo vote? There used to be that kind of idea, but that got dumped?
NEM is starting to appear in articles, so the new marketing team decided to choose an interim logo.
Eventually, it is very likely that NEM will hire a professional ad agency or design firm to work with us and create our public image.No need to bash the logo as it's just interim and is merely supposed to give NEM 1 logo that everyone can use until we have a final one. Doesn't look good if every single service, site, ... has a different logo. |

iv recently had a discussion with j1777 about his wifes account being taken off the stake holder list. as far as i know there were no rules stating that the account used to claim a family members stake must be active. just that a new account must be created. i personally made the mistake (by misinterpretation of the rules) of claiming my brothers stake by using my own btt account, meaning i claimed mine and his using this account and later had to create a second account for him which i think actually had less activity that jl777's wifes account but it was still with in the rules. (most of this was posted publicly) so unless the account used to pay for the stake can be linked to other accounts that got stakes or were removed from the list or any other fraudulent activity relating to nem, i would motion to have this account reinstated with a nem stake as, in my eyes, it was unfairly removed from the stake holder list by UP. kod Listen, I don't like this situation either. I inherited this mess but I have to live with it now. The truth is i have no idea why his wife was removed as UP handled the removing by himself. Many people were removed and if i put his wife back on just like that then hundrets of other people will come and want the same. I know James from the Ripple Forums and I know he's a good guy but from my POV there's nothing i can do without giving special treatment. |

Hey folks, this is an idea that I brought up about a week ago. I also don't think we should be bothering the devs with this, they obviously have a lot going on right now. Even at this time having miniNEMstakes isn't a huge priority, but I think it will become a bigger issue if the stake price keeps rising like I expect. That is for sure a nice idea but who is willing to sell his stake for this purpose? I have only 1 stake and I don't want to sell it so how do you get this stake for distribution unless you buy it from NXT AE or you already have some extra stake that you would like to distribute? Not only sell his stake but also pay 1000 NXT to issue an asset |
