1841  Local / Pamilihan / Re: GCash is planning to add cryptocurrencies! on: June 07, 2021, 12:41:47 PM
If they plan to add cryptocurrency dapat increase nila ang monthly limit ng verified user, Ang 100K per month limit ay bitin or kulang talaga lalo na't GCASH ang best instant payout options sa coins.ph aside from paymaya.
Of course babaguhin yan once na nakapasok na silas a crypto dahil alam naman nila kung gaano kalaking posibleng in and out amount para sa mga crypto users.

sa ngayon kasi is  para sa local transactions lang ang limits nila but once there is already crypto then sure worldwide transactions na ang pagtutuunan nila.

Kaya kailangan pa natin ng maraming competitors. Konte lang kasi dito sa Pinas. Alam ko startups are trying to develop their own crypto wallet na ma regulate ng BSP in the future, pero we won’t expect them anytime soon. Coins PH talaga ang best sa instant payout straight to banks, GCash, LBC, etc., basta wag lang tayu mangin involve or mag associate sa mga illegal activities.

Sa Abra naman, yung biggest issue ko sa kanila is ang exorbitant fees when sending to another third party wallet. At saka it would take 2-3 business na mag withdraw to bank kagaya ni Paypal.
1842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Junior students ask for advice: what money is worth investing now, and what mone on: June 07, 2021, 12:36:58 PM
That reminds me of two years ago where I was one of the guest speakers in a cryptocurrency roadshow event held in a well-known university in the Philippines. In a Q&A session, one student raised his hand and provided with microphone, asking me and the rest of the speakers on our advice about the best ones to invest while they are still young.

I just shared my opinion to that student that both stocks and crypto are great investments for the future but comes a certain risk such as market situation, volatility, circumstances, etc. I added that risk management is necessary and only invest what he could afford to lose.

For long-term investment, no questions asked for BTC and ETH.
1843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are MEME Coins A NEW Trend on: June 07, 2021, 12:26:21 PM
With the rise of Doge Coin, there have been countless MEME coins launch on different platform.
What are you thoughts on meme coins? Are they bad for the industry? Or Are they a gateway drug for newbies to enter the game?

The trend would easily die in a few or several months I think. Elon Musk’s advocacy of Dogecoin had started it all for others to make meme coins. However, we should not be greedy in holding meme coins for a long time. They are not designed for long-term. They can create their own concept, roadmap, etc., but still they are meme coins.

If you truly insist to invest in these meme coins, always do your own research and acknowledge the risks. Don’t buy at the FOMO, but rather during the dip. If you have achieved at least x2 (in which I did a few days ago), sell it immediately before the trend dies down.
1844  Other / Archival / Re: Is a demo account necessary for a beginner trader? on: June 07, 2021, 12:14:51 PM
In my own opinion, this is suitable for those who are still afraid in taking small risks even for just a few bucks. It’s kinda a training ground for them in getting familiar on how volatile the market is when they are going to use the demo funds in the trading simulator or so. It’s still helpful though for them though, but it’s way better to do actual trading with our real funds.
1845  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador plan to make BTC legal tender on: June 07, 2021, 12:10:46 PM
This is indeed a history in the making where the government is making Bitcoin a legal tender, while most of the countries worldwide are classifying it as a security along with the other altcoins. It’s not easy for other countries to follow suit, as they are not ready to fully accept Bitcoin as legal tender in open arms.

Bitcoin 2021 Conference | Miami - June 4-5, 2021

5 Weirdest Moments at the Bitcoin 2021 Conference in Miami
Loud and proud, Bitcoiners ran riot at the Bitcoin 2021 conference in Miami.
https://decrypt.co/72861/5-weirdest-moments-at-the-bitcoin-2021-conference-in-miami

"Bitcoin 2021, a two-day conference in Miami devoted to all things Bitcoin (and only Bitcoin), was the scene of some truly bizarre moments."

It was an amazing crypto conference and I know that a lot have enjoyed their time especially the networking side. To be honest, I was jealous because countries like US can resume physical conferences as well as Dubai and other ones. Right here in the Philippines, we are not allowed yet to have physical mass gatherings of any kind.

1848  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earning your first merit on: June 05, 2021, 12:58:01 PM
Having my first merit.

I've been posted yesterday night before I sleep. When I woke up and open bitcoin talk and check my post I'm shock  2 people merited it. This is my first merit  I cannot figure out my emotions when I saw that they give it to me.

Its too hard  earning merit from the word itself (Merit) meaning the quality of being particularly good, especially so as to deserve praise or reward.

But nothing is impossible you must  take time to the forum and post it all of your heart  other people will give you merit.

Thank you for sending me I really appreciate you and I assure that I cannot stop what I've started.

Congratulations on your first merit. You’ve just taken the first step on how to become a valuable and helpful member of this amazing community.

If you really wanted to get merits naturally and organic, you need to do the following:

1. Remove your mentality in posting just for merits.
2. Always treat merit as bonus. Never expect that all of your helpful posts get merited.
3. Create helpful topics and advice for the community.
4. If you’re alert of the latest news being posted and wasn’t shared here yet on Bitcointalk, do share it along with the source link (always give credit to the original source when sharing).
5. Do crypto charity or humanitarian stuff (I believe that a lot of posts showing crypto charity work w/ pictures get merited)
6. Hunt down scams and expose them here for us to become aware (make sure you follow the format when reporting it in the Scam Accusations section).

Most important of all, just put it in your mind that there will be no guarantees that your helpful posts are gonna be merited. Just focus on being a valuable member by following the rules and not gonna spam, etc., and merits are just gonna come by a surprise.
1849  Other / Off-topic / Re: I am thinking of being a food delivery rider accepting crypto payments on: June 05, 2021, 12:46:34 PM
To tell you the truth ? i am also having this work as sideline and what i do ? everytime that i delivered the Food they ordered , i am asking them if they are using coins.ph and if did then trying to seek if they can pay me directly to my Bitcoin address instead of Gcash payment and so far i have 3 out of 10 ratio from my all deliveries .

I was even thinking of printing my Coins PH QR code and doing the same thing to create awareness and slow massive adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies for being a food delivery rider.

By the way, are you using an e-scooter as well? Or motorcycle or bicycle? The only weakness of e-scooter when I am going to be a Food Panda Rider is the rain. Now that we are in a rainy season, this is kinda concerning for my e-scooter unless I can find some ways to protect my battery from being exposed to water. I don’t care if my e-scooter is splash proof, I ain’t convinced.

After all, I don’t want Food Panda rider to be my full-time job, just a sideline work as well because I’m already full time in various cryptocurrency jobs and gigs. It’s just that I am so bored working at home for most of the time and not being able to travel outside of my city and province, so I wanna do something new like this. I am currently applying but I realized that I have no NBI yet which already expired (which is a mandatory requirement for applying to Food Panda).

Ain’t ashamed of myself if I am gonna be a Food Panda rider, it’s all about opportunities!
1850  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: June 05, 2021, 12:36:10 PM
Until now, I am not planning to get vaccinated. Still having second thoughts. I understand that a lot would like to go back to normal lives, and I see that those who are vaccinated are allowed to travel, go inside bars, etc. Here in the Philippines, I heard that those who got fully vaccinated will have their quarantine time reduced and not required anymore to conduct swab tests after landing in the airport.

My father was vaccinated with Astrazeneca while my mom and youngest sister are vaccinated with Sinovac. Only me and my other sister aren’t vaccinated due to second thoughts. Despite my dad is convincing us to get vaccinated, we’re not sold on it because even if we are fully vaccinated, we’re not immune to the virus but can prevent severe symptoms. I would prefer Ivermectin or Hydroxychloroquine as quick treatment of the virus.

Lockdowns and strict quarantine isn’t the solution. It’s killing the economy and our livelihood. Either we die of the virus or die of hunger if the government can’t figure out to balance everything without the need of lockdowns.
1851  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you done listening to Elon ? on: June 05, 2021, 12:27:14 PM
I believe the whales are easily manipulating Elon boy’s tweets, especially the “heartbroken” emoji in order for the “vulnerables” to panic and quickly sell their coins or tokens and the whales are gonna buy back at lower prices. Always DYOR as usual. Not a fan of Elon boy or even following him, but he’s just one of the many influencers out there who could either drive the crypto price up or down.
1852  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: reasons for bad trading on: June 05, 2021, 12:19:28 PM
Same thing. I didn’t do my homework and learn my lesson the hard way. I was too greedy hoping that coin or token will pump even further, but I ended up at a loss because of “too much confident” about that project. Lately, one of my tokens pumped to more than 2x after a month of waiting, and I didn’t hesitate to sell it immediately before it plunges quickly again.

The important thing for me is that I gained profit and buy back the dip rather than being too greedy.
1853  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tapos na ba ang bullrun? 2021 on: June 03, 2021, 12:43:40 PM

I still believe na si BTC mag touch down pa yan between $70k to $100k bago mag end ang 2021, at si ETH cguru at least $6k to $10k. Opinion ko lang mga kabayan.
1854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DogeCoin will Flip Bitcoin on: June 03, 2021, 12:29:37 PM
That would be highly impossible. BTC is still the almighty one and no one, not even Dogecoin, could defeat BTC in market capitalization. Without BTC, there would be no DOGE.

You might be lucky if you’ve bought and HODL some DOGE years ago and now enjoying the profits (I could have made half million in PHP if i dind’t sell my 36K DOGE back then lol). In my opinion, nope! Dogecoin will never flip the almighty Bitcoin!
1855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which best Altcoins to buy & HODL for some months on: June 03, 2021, 12:26:12 PM
If I were to be asked on which coins/tokens that I am going to buy and HODL for long-term, here are my top 5 (not in exact order):

1. ETH
2. BNB
3. ADA
4. MATIC
5. NWC

They are good for long-term holding in my opinion.
1856  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you making money online? on: June 03, 2021, 12:19:15 PM
Yes, yes and yes! This is what I’ve been doing so far since my last months of college. It’s just that I didn’t have stable clients during that time when I rendered various services such as SEO, social media optimization, video recording and editing, article writing, data entry and so on. There’s a time when I was a virtual customer relations manager of a remote company based in Australia. Now here comes crypto and it changed my life until now. Without crypto, I couldn’t survive this pandemic, this is why making money online is so important as of this time.
1857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the FUD starting to wear off? on: June 03, 2021, 12:13:18 PM
As China bans bitcoin again while India unbans bitcoin again, this is getting played out. The energy consumption FUD is tired BS. The tweets, the misinformed articles, media FUD, etc. This is all getting boring. The fundamentals haven't changed, and the manipulation is getting boring. Seems like every rally, the same boring FUD comes in and scares the newest wave of recent buyers. It's cool if you bought within these recent few months, but stop fucking panic selling and wait for fuck sake. Don't like the current price, wait. Not giving you a good profit, wait. Fucking hold and wait.

The problem is that we don’t know if it’s gonna wear off or not. These FUD events could happen at any moment without warning. The market is very unpredictable right now. No matter how the experts or technical analysts or pro traders assess or predict the market, they are not perfect or accurate. We just have to be prepared if something goes the other way around and not the way we expect. Risk management and controlling our emotions are still necessary.
1858  Other / Off-topic / I am thinking of being a food delivery rider accepting crypto payments on: June 03, 2021, 12:06:38 PM
I just bought myself a Xiaomi e-scooter a couple of days ago. Initially I just want it for my personal use going in and out, but I was already thinking of being one of the first guys in the city who is a food delivery rider (Food Panda) using e-scooter as most of them here are using bicycles and motorcycles. I don’t have driver’s license yet because I had lack of time plus driving schools aren’t opened due to quarantine restrictions, so e-scooters are just fine because of not using gas. Plus, I have confirmed it from my contact who is working in the Land Transportation Office that e-scooters doesn’t need to be registered and having a mandatory driver’s license.

I feel that e-scooters are having the advantage, especially during traffic times. However, there are risks as well like not being able to ride it on the rainy day (concerned about the battery) unless I’m gonna buy a protector for it, avoiding bumpy roads or carrying heavy stuff, etc.

Plus, food delivery riders here are categorized by our national government as essential workers, so there’s curfew immunity lol. Although I am happy with my crypto income, it’s just that I feel bored already working at home most of the time and wanna do something new. Food Panda is mainly using GCash as a payment method, but I heard that they are eyeing cryptocurrencies. So it would be great if customers are gonna pay in crypto using the GCash payment method.
1859  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Actual Blockchain Games on: June 03, 2021, 06:52:46 AM
Have you guys tried out the Blankos play to earn NFT game? I've just downloaded and installed it on my PC (unfortunately no mobile version yet) and I would like to see how this game goes. It's still under early access version for now.

Link of the Blankos game: https://blankos.com/

As what I've watched from Cagyjan's Youtube video about Blankos, this looks like a fun blockchain game to play.
