1841  Economy / Exchanges / Re: SEC sues Coinbase for listing securities on: June 08, 2023, 11:29:34 AM
Based on the list of tokens/coins they included, I honestly doubt that. But if you ask Gary Gensler, I am sure that he would tell you that every cryptocurrency is security unless proven otherwise. Cheesy
According to what I have read before, he admitted that bitcoin is not a security but a commodity. Ether and others is what he is calling securities. I think he is right about is stance because cryptocurrencies are securities but bitcoin among them is very different and remain to be a commodity.
1842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 08, 2023, 11:12:05 AM
But the truth is, few people can discipline themselves and gamble until the money runs out.
That is why it is also good to have a gambling budget. It should not be that a gambler should just be gambling without having a gambling budget. I have just 5% of my weekly income on gambling budget and I do not gamble too much but only just weekends. If I have more time and I gamble more and the weekly gambling budget is exhausted, then I will know to just quit gambling until that week is over. If a gambler discipline himself very well and not following emotion, it would be a good thing for him.
1843  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3068 Trades Won and only 1 Trade Lost on: June 07, 2023, 09:51:08 PM
The first thing you should know is that it is using a low leverage.

No one can know his strategy unless you know him and ask him about it.

But you can always have your own strategies and move towards the one that favour you the most.

Risk management, using low leverage, learn more about indicators, controlling your emotion and to be discipline are part of trading strategy, but there is more to it.
1844  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cz or the Sec who would you support? on: June 07, 2023, 07:49:39 PM
I support Cz with reasons that binance has done alot to earn it's communities trust, helping millions of users in the crypto ecosystem, and has more durable marketing strategy whereas the Sec is government driven and wants to control everybody.
The government wants to control everybody, but the government are using the exchanges to do the control, unlike using noncustodial wallet which gives you the control.

It's unfair that the sec is suppressing a private cooperation that's helping to grow & build the crypto world, binance is helping everybody including crypto whales and newbies and a fight against binance is against the world.
What's your say on this?
Are those altcoins not securities? They are securities. United States SEC have rules for securities. Binance should also follow the regulatory rules for not to fall into problem with regulators.
1845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more secure, WBTC or BBTC (Binance Wappled bitcoin)? on: June 07, 2023, 07:40:46 PM
BBTC means Binance Wrapped BTC.

From the name, you will know that it was created by Binance. But no other BTC is safe except bitcoin. WBTC and BBTC are not even bitcoin (BTC) because they are altcoins. Trust only bitcoin (BTC).
1846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: June 07, 2023, 04:15:29 PM
Do not use the money you need for other things on gambling. Do not disappoint your parent by using the money they gave you to pay for school for gambling. Just use the amount that you can afford to lose to gamble and you will not feel remorseful if you lose. But if you lose a big amount of money, or the money meant for your parent or relative to gamble and you can not lay back, that can make you feel more than remorseful because you will be depressed and be looking for ways to get the money back.
1847  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Order Book price pick for Limit Futures Long/Short orders on: June 07, 2023, 01:09:10 PM
Thanks for the explanation.
So this basically means that If I want to go Short and place an order below 25 000 then it would be immaterially filled at the lowest market. Which is basically the same as Market.
Got it. Thanks !
Try and read it again because I made some corrections. Also let me be more practical about it:

Bitcoin at $25000

For long/buy
You open a limit order at $25010 (above $25000). The order will be filled immediately
You open a limit order at $24990 (below $25000). The order will not be filled. If the market price of bitcoin gets to or drop below below $24990, your order will be filled.

For short/sell
You open a limit order at $24990. Bitcoin at market price of $25000. The order will be filled immediately
You open a limit order at $25010. Bitcoin price at $25000. The order will not be filled. If bitcoin increase above $25010, your order will be filled.

I hope you will understand it better this way.

It is even harder to explain than using it while trading, once you start to trade you will notice how simple it is.

I will advice you to be careful of trading derivatives, because leveraging is very risky. Trading itself is very risky, not to talk of future trading which is far riskier.
1848  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Order Book price pick for Limit Futures Long/Short orders on: June 07, 2023, 12:57:25 PM
Let me use bitcoin at market price of $25000 as an example.

If you go long or buy

If you set the limit order price above $25000, it would be filled immediately. It simply means you buy at higher price which will make your order to be filled at the market price. Which means it is a market order but you only just used limit order for it.

On the other hand, if you place the limit order price at below $25000. That is a limit order and your are a market maker. If the market price of bitcoin drops below $25000 (below the price your set), your order would be filled. But if the bitcoin market price did not drop to or below the price you set, your order will not be filled.

If you go short or sell

If you set the limit order price below $25000, it would be filled immediately. It simply means you sell at lower price which will make your order to be filled at the market price. Which means it is a market order but you only just used limit order for it.

On the other hand, if you place the limit order price at above $25000, the order will not be filled immediately. That is a limit order. If the market price of bitcoin increase to or above the price you set, your order would be filled. But if the bitcoin market price did not increase above the price that you set, your order will not be filled.

For this not to confuse you, you can trade with $1 on most exchanges with higher leverage. Just for testing, do not use leverage because it is dangerous than given profit.
1849  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is ready for $40k on: June 07, 2023, 09:03:39 AM
Well let us see if we can make it to $30k before we are talking about $40k price for Bitcoin. I am 'bullish' right now even with the FUD that we are hearing about in the news recent.

The 2 biggest crypto exchanges in the world are being sued by the sec. But price of Bitcoin is still close to $27k. So this means investors are still buying. I think we will see $30k sooner then most people think and hope $40k by end of the year.
Even if bitcoin make it up to $30000, that does not mean that it would not be another resistant price, bitcoin has not been going beyond $30000. Its last highest price I remember is $31000. I was thinking bitcoin will make it up to $34000 - $37000 before any big drop again, but it started to drop at $31000 and not going beyond that price. It is very possible that $30000 may be the big resistant price until halving, no nobody yet knows.
1850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: June 06, 2023, 08:56:26 PM
Noncustodial wallet means their is no other person that controls the wallet but you. Where am I going to withdraw from if government ban crypto trading when I have the complete control over my noncustodial wallet? It is not an exchange and it is not a custodial wallet.

Because government wants to ban crypto trading, I do not think gambling will come my mind at all than I am gambling before, to just use little amount of money to gamble.

My bitcoin will stay on my noncustodial wallet and I am going to move fully to a decentralized exchange like bisq

Anyone that have such decision is a fool because government banning crypto is entirely different from how gambling is legal. It has no connection that will make the person to think of sending all his coins to a gambling site, which is a big mistake.
1851  Economy / Exchanges / Re: SEC sues Coinbase on: June 06, 2023, 12:39:45 PM
Interesting days ahead and I can see bitcoin price going even more down.
An opportunity to buy more.

Bitcoin falled to $25388 yesterday. It falled to $25351 today. No big difference yet. I noticed a big dropped in 30 minutes ago but not that falled more below yesterday's lowest price.
1852  Economy / Speculation / Re: SEC Lawsuit Against Binance Is Likely To Hit Bitcoin Price on: June 06, 2023, 11:14:30 AM
At the end of the day Binance is primarily an altcoin exchange and whatever happens to it should affect the altcoin market significantly not bitcoin's. But realistically speaking the FUD always finds its way to the bitcoin market and affects the weak hands hence causing the drops like we've seen too many times in the past.
Besides, what SEC does to Binance is not the issue here, what the FUD is going to be and how it will affect the market is the only thing that matters.
I just want to say that bitcoin is the most traded coin on Binance. I checked spot trading for bitcoin, ether and Binance coin on Binance, Binance coin is not near the trading volume of ether, while bitcoin trading volume is higher than ether which I think is the second most traded coin on Binance.

Let me use yesterday trading volume as examples:

Using bitcoin price of $26770
Ether price of $1818

Spot market:
BTC/USDT: 65805 = $1.76 billion
ETH/USDT: 555361 = $1 billion

USDT-M futures:
BTCUSDT: 700502 = $18.75 billion
ETHUSDT: 4260000 = $7.74 billion

Coin-M:
BTCUSD: 111834 = $2.99 billion
ETHUSD: 714927 = $1.3 billion

Binance coin is very low. Also other coins are lower to both bitcoin and ether, but ether is still almost 2 times or more than 2 times lower in trading volume than bitcoin on Binance. Binance is truly an altcoin exchange as it encourages many altcoins, but bitcoin is the most traded coin on the exchange.

What is affecting the crypto market is also affecting bitcoin too, but just that altcoins are more volatile and riskier.
1853  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to Hodl or buy the Dip? on: June 06, 2023, 10:32:32 AM
I have said this before, that I am not buy much until bitcoin gets to $20000. But if it is a month to halving and that has not yet happened, I will buy more.

My advice for now is to continue to DCA.

For people that are holding already, they should not sell, bitcoin all-time-high is coming, which would be after halving. For people that wants to buy the deep, they should be patient, or they can DCA, or they can do that now because the profit is coming. The best period to buy bitcoin is not yet over.
1854  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance crisis - how will it affect the crypto market? on: June 06, 2023, 10:09:32 AM
- In your opinion, is this a consequence of increased pressure on China by the U.S.?
This has nothing to do with China.

Binance is the largest exchange, and the lawsuit by the US's SEC would surely affect the crypto space, but this effect is expected to douse over time as this is still an allegation, and it will remain as such until the court delivers its verdict.
After the news, bitcoin fall from over $27000, down to almost $25000. Some people like to panic or to make use of such market situation to sell. SEC sued Binance, but not that Binance is closing down, or Binance go hacked, but which could have caused more downtrend.
1855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin(BTC) vs wrappedBitcoin(wBTC) on: June 05, 2023, 11:03:05 PM
3. Wrapped bitcoin can only be traded on decentralized exchanges, liquidity was added by some persons, if those persons who added the liquidity decide to withdraw it, you are completely locked in and no way to sell your supposed bitcoin..
Wrapped bitcoin can be traded too on centralized exchanges. It is not bitcoin though.

It was a lengthy discussion, but in the end, he asked what to do, I advised him to unstake his wrapped bitcoin and sell it immediately, then use the money to buy the real Bitcoin and hold on a good and trusted non custodial wallet like the one I'm currently using(mycelium), though not particular the best, but very trust worthy.
He did not tell you the amount he is staking, It could be a big amount of bitcoin. You should let him know the differences between hot and cold wallets and why cold wallets are important.
1856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which League Makes Sports Betting Easy to Win? on: June 05, 2023, 07:32:25 PM
There are many leagues in the world and going for the highest league in each country is good. Like in Africa, I prefer to go for Egypt and Tunisia highest leagues. Morrocco too sometimes.

I like South American leagues, most especially Brazil Seria A and B. Argentina too, but not all the time. I do not use to bet on these leagues but the few I bet, I win than lose.

But I prefer EPL more than any league and also European football generally.

When I was still betting daily, I do go through https://www.livescores.com/ and see the better leagues that are playing daily, make some analyses to know the best clubs to take for that day. But that can be a kind of addiction.

If you check the prediction sites and also live score sites, you will definitely see leagues to choose from daily. I am not advising on daily bet though.
1857  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain Exchange holding my funds (1.25 BTC) hostage for 45 days already on: June 05, 2023, 02:35:25 PM
Is this blockchain.com exchange?

Sorry for the inconveniences.

Only there customer care can help you.

But did you know that you caused this to yourself? You are not exchanging to any coin, why did you transfer your coins to the exchange part which is different from the wallet?

Use a noncustodial wallet for saving your coins. You can use Electrum for that, or a hardware wallet for large amount.
1858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beginners Should Avoid Leveraged Tokens Trading on: June 05, 2023, 08:57:48 AM
I have seen this on Kucoin and Bybit. If you want to trade leverage token on both exchanges, you will see a warning, about how it should be used for short time trading and how risky it is.

On Bybit:

On Kucoin:

If you click on the product information on Kucoin, you will see better explanation.

Is it not like that on MEXC too?

The exchanges I see such tokens, there are always warning about it.
1859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship , Will you Bet? on: June 04, 2023, 12:00:35 PM
Is this for real or rumor?

Quote
Talking about the participants, 20 people from different countries have applied for the Championship now. The winners will be determined through three juries and audience ratings. In each discipline, participants can score between 5 and 10 points. The contestants will compete in 16 disciplines which include seduction, oral sex, penetration, appearance, body massages, exploring erotic zones, position changes, creativity in the positions, number of orgasms and endurance.

You as a gambler..
1. What do you make of this?, is sex truly a sport and is it supposed to be carried out openly?
2. If casinos pick this up and make provisions available to users to bet on this supposed European sex Championship, would you bet?
This is pornography, not sport.
1860  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi Im trader over 12 years of experince here is my goal on: June 04, 2023, 11:54:04 AM
My goal is to start with 7$ and in 15 days i'll turn this into 229376$
You are only wasting your time. You will use high leverage, but your liquidation price would be very close to the extent of getting your trading fund liquidated.

I'll post here results when i have done this my PNL from binance.
Before you open any position, let us know your entry price. And also let us know your closing price after you close the position.
