1841  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chips.gg |🎰 100k Event | Daily New Slots | on: November 04, 2021, 09:08:28 PM
It is a bit strange if there is a min bet to receive rakeback because afaik rakeback is not calculated per bet but it should be calculated in overall wager. Lets say someone play and wager $1,000,000 but all bets were made with $0.2-$0.4 worth of btc, is it still counted as dust because of the issue and will not receive anything from the rackeback? Although Dan said that there is an issue with the bitcoin bet and it will be fixed soon, but I think all bitcoin bet should be recorded and players will receive the rakeback later.
Even though I believe that everyone should get rakeback and there shouldn't be "if it is dust then you get nothing" type of situation, I also believe that someone does it as a whole should have a difference as well. I mean a person who wagers 1 million all together and someone who wagers max 5 cents but has 1 million total wagered should not be both getting the same thing.

One of them is risking a lot more than the other, and that is a very important situation. I am not saying that people should not be focusing on betting for a higher wagering amount, of course they could do that but that doesn't mean that we should not be promoting all-in betting neither, many casinos should improve that all together and that is a lot more important for casinos since it leaves them a chance to get a ton of money suddenly vs the guy who wagers few cents who will not leave too much money all together, maybe small by small over course of years.
1842  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎰 BFG for Slots|🎂BETFURY 2nd ANNIVERSARY|🐯 CoinTiger listing on: November 04, 2021, 06:34:53 PM
With interest and respect I treat the promotion of the project and am very pleased with how they were able to develop in 2 years.  But I don't like some of the ways to promote the project and my own token.  I don't like this way of getting free tokens.  - airdrop every 20 minutes.  He, like an annoying fly, makes the player constantly remember the project every 20 minutes and so for as long as possible during the day.  This is generally just some kind of mockery.
Although I understand that this is certainly one of the most effective ways to promote.  But it is better to use other ways to reward players.
There are way too many places who doesn't use this type of stuff and they still end up with a lot of customers. Look at how many places there are out in the world who doesn't have free faucet type of deal and they are still doing fine. However most of them did had it back in the day, or they give out free bets or something like rakeback or whatever. Basically you get something in return whenever you gamble and that is the most important part right now.

I personally believe that what they are doing right now is a great idea, but it is not something that can go on for a long time, it is something that should be ending eventually. What we are seeing right now as a good thing is not good forever, it will eventually become something that will bad for the casino if they keep doing this for a long time. At the end of the day we are still dealing with something good for now, but it is temporarily good until they have their customer base at enough level, after that it will become not so great.
1843  Economy / Economics / Re: The Largest Crypto Exchanger in Thailand has been acquired by Commercial Bank on: November 04, 2021, 05:02:55 PM
Today, in Thailand, the country's oldest bank has acquired a majority stake in the country's crypto exchange. What really intrigues me is why commercial banks acquire crypto exchanges? If the reason is purely business profits that have been analyzed previously, that's a common thing. But are they sure about the decision? The level of security that is very vulnerable by hackers and the highly volatile crypto market, is it in line with their core business which prioritizes stability?
This is really a strange situation compared to the practices of my country.

I am sure, cryptocurrencies are not legal tender in Thailand but at least the government ha cleared about their stand for being neutral? Not sure about that. (I remember when China was banning all crypto related activities, few countries like Taiwan or Indonesia announced like inviting crypto enthusiast for running crypto business but not sure Thailand was one of them).

A bank is acquiring crypto business means that the government is positive about crypto related business.
I hope crypto will find another round of boom with the help of any positive announcement from Thailand government.

And I guess running a crypto exchange for a bank is not a big deal among all security vulnerability. So, you may not concern on that.
1844  Economy / Economics / Re: Fuel prices hitting an eight year high on: November 03, 2021, 06:53:22 PM
This pandemic became the biggest challenge in the fuel industry most especially during the early year it has been on. During the first year of the crisis, the fuel industry didn't have much profit because of limited travels due to restrictions as a safety protocol. Hence, the fuels were just stocked up. When we apply the law of supply and demand, during that time, the demand was very little and the supply is high, giving a cheap price to fuels.
It was expected for the fuel industry to get back to normal. After all we are talking about something that is basically just a situation where there is a huge demand which makes it worthy to make it work and then supply will reach anyway. If there is a money to be made at something then people will do it, everyone keeps doing it and that is called business. If there is so much fuel need in the world, even with pandemic causing such a big break and problem for them, eventually oil industry worked on it and cover all that need.
1845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will shiba inu coin beat bitcoin ? on: November 01, 2021, 04:30:02 PM
To be on top 5, yes it has to fight well. Being a meme coin, it would take plenty of time to reach to top 10. Its price is too low now but yes in recent days, the trading volume is really high compared to the days it was in the beginning and its price has grown as well. It would take more than a year for reaching a dollar seeing current situation. Being one of the investors, waiting for it to reach minimum $0.1 in few months.
This is why I do call marketcap is just another scammy thing that we must need to avoid for any kind of consideration. I just wonder how shibu got into top 10 in coinmarketcap list, just because of its massive circulating supply? Its prices too far away from 1 US cent still it  managed to get into top 10, really a classic example how manipulation works and may definitely deceive naive investors to choose the manipulated coins rather than choosing the potential coins. I really hate this type of situations.
1846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambling increase due to the pandemic, stats, UK on: November 01, 2021, 03:39:59 PM
- 63% gamblers noted an increase in time spent gambling.
- 62% said their gambling habit remained the same despite the laws being more losse for some areas
- 12% reported an increase in their gambling habit
I feel little ambiguous here; what is the difference between more time spending for gambling and increased gambling habit. Probably those 63% of gamblers are already into gambling but due to pandemic they find themselves to be gambling more than before and the 12% of people may not be the regular gamblers but they get more gambling habits due to lockdown/isolation reasons.

I am sure that after medical and other related sectors, gambling must be one of the prominent field which got big boom in last 18 months of pandemic. Moreover, not sure how many of us going to be more severally gambling in near future because the habit we picked up during the pandemic times.
1847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Community means everything on: November 01, 2021, 09:45:49 AM
Community means everything in crypto space, there are many people who think that shiba coin won't enter top 10 on coinmarketcap well today we did it, now that we are in bull season I'm sure more surprises is coming, shiba is more than a meme coin do your own research before judging the project, Dogecoin that was loved by the community for few years now got flipped
Instead of asking us to go studying about Shia, why not you link us to exact resources where I could enlighten myself about shiba and its potential; honestly I am curious to know about this sh!tcoin. Also, you need to explain why you feel dogecoin is turned down right now. I am not thinking so. Rather simply stating your opinion, you must provide proper explanation so that we could get your view exactly.

Making a community to believe on something is not easier; dogecoin did that because it was the first one and people treated it on the same way but in crypto space and right now shiba is trying to copy through speculative way but I am not sure how long it will last as at any time, it may get dumped by its whales by leaving off all individual investors at peril.
1848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will these coins survive 5 years? on: November 01, 2021, 09:00:28 AM
If the 5 types of altcoins have strong fans or communities, I think they will last longer in the market. for example cardano, ethereum and possibly polkadot will continue to dominate the market for the future
Yeah community is more important one for the success of a coin still building a stronger community is not that easier because it requires real potential to attract adapters, investors and traders. Lots of coins, I have seen are lagging in any of real life utilities which means they are purely created for speculative purposes alone. So, you cannot expect them to be flourishing ever as they will definitely get dumped over the time.

for Avax, THETA, and TERRA LUNA we can't say for sure if it will be good for the next 5 years or just a name.
The dangers of new coins always prevail. Personally I will not risk into such new things rather I will opt to go with old and reputed coins as they got minimum assurance for my capital at least in USD value even I always look to gain in BTC values.
1849  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price: with 12 years from nothing to maturity on: November 01, 2021, 08:21:19 AM
It is interesting to look at this zodiac circle:
<snip>
What kind of astrology is this? A Chinese's one? Because, I heard their astrology is basically based on animals. How often this will repeat? For example, the first one (tiger, red) will come again or not? If it will come again means after how many other phases?

I always welcome different interpretations and perspectives and this time you have brought up astrology based one. The only thing, you must have included is some reference link, I really want to check and project these into the near future because like most others here, I am too keen on knowing the future rather than just getting know about the past.

I've never seen someone to make analysis of the Bitcoin price based on zodiac signs.
I have seen people were predicting bullion markets based on moon signs. Not common everywhere but few signal providers include moon signs to justify/support their predictions.
1850  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin metrics “INSANELY BULLISH”! Can the King go to 200K or more this cycle? on: November 01, 2021, 05:00:22 AM
I'm enjoying the ride and will be more optimistic if the market goes to the way that we don't like to but has to happen which is the bear market.
Yeah bear market is inevitable as the same bulls are the core factors to trigger it; profit booking must be the first reason for bearish trend. So, regardless of how much positive we are while bullish trend, we tend to act to exit which is basic human nature to protect the profits. So, how intensively being bullish right now may not be insignificant when people psychologically getting ready to exit; this is the reason round numbers are acting like strongest support or resistance levels.

prepare for some real hard correction like we used to , im bullish with you guys but for the current time , it must be a huge correction in the upcoming weeks for sure.
I read that even long term holders are speculating about bear markets in near future which means they may profit book some 5 to 10% of their holding to maximize the number of bitcoin holding. So, preparing anything like that will benefit ourselves to make use of bearish trend as well.
1851  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much would you like to see Bitcoin priced in 2022? on: October 31, 2021, 07:26:27 PM
Its too early to predict $1m price in 2022 lets give it another 5-10 years and this will become really possible if we consider the supply it will become really scarce in the next few years. For my own realistic prediction based from history its possible to reach $250k in 2022, that $80k can easily reach this year.
Yeah, we can be sure about $1M not possible in 2022. It must need one more halving to happen as per my speculation. By this current bullish trend I guess we could expect up to $500k levels if this trend continues to 2022. Otherwise we may end up around $120k levels by end of this year. I guess the November month may get us exact clue on where we are going to finish 2021 which might lead us to speculate on 2022 later on.

I agree with your realistic predictions still I am just extending that into bubble region as usually we do finish off all bullish trend into bubbles. Hence, I am expecting this bullish trend as well will conclude with a strong bubble which may be around $500k levels.
1852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice against plako or slot on: October 31, 2021, 06:52:39 PM
People prefer dice for a reason. It is simple, easy to understand and directly to the point. The other games are pretty much the same thing as dice but they just make it complicated a little bit and if you are not careful that may cost you big time. On the other hand some people prefer complexity over simplicity. Some people like to see nice graphics and stuff, you know like playing a computer game.
Yeah, honestly this gambling industry is on hunting to bring something new to compete dicing so that gamblers will find more entertaining and exciting to continue their gambling. I feel like bust a dice or rocket run kind of games were introduced with same reasons like being simple and easier to understand. I guess we must need to be ready such more simple yet exciting dice kind of games in near future.

Plako must be something very much new as I never got chances to hear such a game. If OP takes time to explain more on this then I guess we can move forward by looking at how interesting and easier to play compared to dicing or slots.
1853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 31, 2021, 06:18:18 PM
What happened to India. Really disappointing. Just got 110 in 20 overs. Boult from New Zealand has taken the 3 key wickets and yes they really played a fantastic game today. Mitchell and Williamson have played lovely shots and they just needed only 15 overs to finish off the target. India has not even own a match and its really pathetic. Indian Batsmen have to perform well.
Here after performing well may not bring them any more chances in this world cup. Even toss is playing a crucial role, I just wonder why Indian bowling attack is lagging with intent? I do not think that bowling Varun in powerplay overs a good options or at least should be allowed for only one over to make batsmen not getting comfortable against pace attack. Kohli's team selection and making Rohit not to open kind of decisions are really surprising. It seems India player may focus only on IPL or they may need some player who are all only specialist for T20 format and not playing other 2 formats. India may need to forget about semi final birth unless otherwise some magic happens in remaining matches.
1854  Economy / Economics / Re: What are common arguments for Bitcoin? on: October 31, 2021, 10:20:27 AM
The reason why this is uncommon is that people never think that something bad is going to happen to them, they know the statistics but for some reason they believe they are immune to something like that and by the time the realize this it is too late to do anything about it, new investors must know that there are scams in this market but they believe they are too smart for that to happen to them, not understanding that is precisely the attitude scammers want them to have as they are easier to scam that way.
This is the most common impression to those people who doesn't know about bitcoin and being afraid for getting scam is one of their question since they always tied this with so many mlm as this is used for several scams happened on history. That's why its not good sometimes to push this especially to those people who doesn't have interest about it and best only to teach them if they want or get an interest since maybe from that state they are ready to listen about the opportunities about bitcoin or crypto.
I guess we had another big discussion on why bitcoin is different from ponzi and all network marketing schemes. So, we must make use of what people discussion as their opinion are more effective way to defense people who are arguing against bitcoin. Overall, I guess we must spread awareness against all the rumors of bitcoin and for that we must make use of this forum discussion to enlighten people.

When are are able to convince at least 20% of world population then rest of people will easily adapt bitcoin without big hesitations. In rough estimate only less than 5% of world population are using bitcoin so far hence we have very long road ahead of us.
1855  Economy / Economics / Re: Reality Check on Crypto on: October 31, 2021, 08:53:58 AM

if crypto payments were available everywhere we would see it being used by the average person.
It is available everywhere except you mean awareness that few people in different countries have moreover the growth is increasing compared to 4 years ago. Cryptocreency cut to everyone and country except those who are fighting against it and limiting people from using it because they want to put their fiat first like China and they try to ban it. It is unstoppable to everyone reach only people in authority trying to limit the use.
This is the reason I feel that Vitalik's opinion may not need to remain true forever (I remember he was too confident about hardfork on bitcoin blockchain to scale but bitcoin adapted segwit instead). Crypto payments will be available to everyone in near future which means it will be substantially used by everyone regardless of they are liking the volatile nature or they love decentralized concepts.

What into I believe more is, even tier-1 country people are being served by traditional finance system decently, we cannot expect them not to adapt revolutionary new system. At least for a change people may prefer to try it. This is the point where Vitalik's opinion turns complete wrong.
1856  Economy / Economics / Re: Would crypto gain full intrinsic value? on: October 31, 2021, 07:08:06 AM
Do you refer that being less volatile means getting to the state of full intrinsic value? Probably it is a kind of economic perspective, that I never come across or never got chances to think that way. Unfortunately I believe cryptos may not get full intrinsic value in near future as I am not expecting less volatile for them.

Yes, when only less than 10% of world population is using cryptocurrencies so far when it goes into more people then volatility will persist. Moreover, there are unimageable whales are into this ecosystem and their manipulation will take more time to lose its power. So, I am not seeing bitcoin to remain less volatile in near future.
Yeah, OP is referring that being lesser volatile means cryptocurrencies will hit main stream adoption. I agree with that conception still I personally do not need and I am not seeing the possibilities for that to happen for next 50 to 80 years of time frame. Yeah, bitcoin and most other cryptocurrencies will remain volatile for prolong period from here and which may get into stable state only most world population adapt and use on day to day life along with bitcoin gets all its supply into circulation. As of now, it is time to enjoy the volatile nature cryptocurrencies because our next generations definitely cannot get a such big opportunity.
1857  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎰 BFG available for Slots|⚡️Free BTC+BNB|🐯 CoinTiger listing on: October 31, 2021, 05:43:36 AM
even how great your team was but a single lucky gamblers can ruined your business and left you empty handed, it's good thing to congratulate the team and all the efforts that they've done. Standing still from all the challenges is one of the good achievements that Betfury team present to all investors and gamblers who uses the platform.

Another year to this business,  HAppy Anniversarry! looking for more years and more success to come.
I also believe that they are proof of a successful business for the future casino owners as well. I mean yes it is hard as I mentioned, and I can't do it myself, maybe with a bunch of people all getting together could be a better one, but it is at least showing some signs of success. This means that we are in a situation where we get to see crypto casinos are getting to become big business' and not just some small time thing.

I remember way back when satoshidice was an on-chain gambling business, the very first casino ever, and it was such a difficult job, it was such a brand new thing, people saw it as an "experiment" at the very best. Now we have dozens of great casinos all over and the ones like betfury grow so big that they have their whole token system in place as well. So even though I agreed that it is something I can't do myself, betfury does pave the way for others to take them as example.
1858  Economy / Economics / Re: What happened? on: October 30, 2021, 07:04:46 PM
I've been keeping an eye on the prices of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Binance Coin for the past few days. As you all know, all three coins took a dive yesterday. What I just noticed is that all three fell about the same time (around 4 A.M. yesterday), and recovered also about the same time (24 hs. later, about 4 A.M. today).
Did anything happen, that would cause such a synchronized dip and recovery?
Because, most investors and traders are dealing with multiple coins at a time for diversification reasons. When you get a negative or positive news and if you are an active trader then what will you do? You may do same type of decision for all your coins, right? Because, your ultimate goal must be making money and the news you got may impact all the cryptos in general (China's recent ban on crytpo activities must be such a common news for all cryptos). So, it is most common like frequently happening that all cryptos are heading in same direction. So, nothing strange on what you have observed.
1859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 30, 2021, 06:31:16 PM
for example if the scammer has access to a list of emails that are interested in gambling they can send half of that list a result of a match and they send the other half the opposite result, they do this for several games, at the end there is a small subset of people that have received all the winners and that is when they ask you money as the recipient of that email believes the scammer is for real when he is in fact only playing a numbers game.
Yeah possible, but what about the bookies who has fixed a match and know the result of an upcoming match when he got access to such a list of gambler's email/mobile number? Definitely they will try to maximize the odds by spreading opposite result to group people who are tend to bet with.

Honestly I have received such email and PM from newbies of this forum itself. There are hundreds of such scammy telegram groups are available. They may not give all tips for making you lose. They may give tips which may get you at least 50% chances to win and another 50% of betting will boost their profits by enabling you to bet opposite to their match fixing.
1860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fiat-betting to crypto+betting on: October 30, 2021, 05:42:00 PM
From where I'm at, fiat betting is still a thing, though of course these are done on closed doors and are almost secret to everyone not unless you're one of the regulars, or you know someone from the said betting circle. They  are still being patronized by many, and are a regular go-to for people around here when they want to bet on something. Give it time before they figure out that online betting with crypto is far better than the ones that they have right now. Then again, it's really hard to deviate from decades-old bookies around here that already cemented its legacy as a household name when it comes to sports betting.
For me and in my country, the situation is complete different. As we are not having almost zero opportunity to bet with fiats (lotteries are available at some part of my country and in my state it is again fully banned), crypto gambling is the only option for all of us and I guess most of my friends got into gambling only after adapting cryptocurrencies especially bitcoins.

I guess my government will continue their neutral stand against crypto and crypto related gambling as bypassing government restriction will be easier and possible for anyone hence I guess government has left it to gambler's personal responsibility.
