Well, it may sound funny but what he said is a fact. Out of 100 sessions of playing slots, you can hardly come out as a winner in 1 or 2 sessions, and in all other sessions, you will most probably lose all the money that you had when you started playing. He is not wrong about that or being aggressive or annoyed by slots.

And if he can't resist discussing it or even playing it even after saying all that, it's because he is already addicted and he can't help it even after realizing that he is just losing, he still keeps playing. That's what addiction does to you.

Yeah, that's kinda what addiction is, and the thing is that casinos are experts at creating addicting games. It's literally their business, so if you have an addictive personality you should be really careful.

It's very easy to gamble away all your life savings, that's why these casinos are so profitable.
1842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: April 04, 2023, 08:35:32 AM
~snip~
You are right that luck is the most important factor in gambling. Without luck there is no chance of winning long term, but the longer we okay the smaller becomes the impact from luck. Any long term gambler will eventually reach the averages for his winning and losing chances. Unfortunately the chances for losing are slightly higher than for winning, that's how the casino manages to make a profit. The only real control a gambler has is the amount he bets, all the winning chances are predetermined by the casino games. That is why I try to keep my losses as small as possible, while still having chances to make a profit. Also important for me is to take a part of my winnings every time and save them. This helps me to grow my bankroll longterm and stay motivated for another big win.

The math is pretty clear, the longer you gamble, the closer you'll get to the estimated return of your probabilities, which are against you.

That means that you might get lucky once early on, but if you keep gambling you will inevitably lose to the house.

So, if you happen to win, quitting immediately is the smartest move.
1843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin cannot be a Bank? on: April 02, 2023, 11:35:19 PM
Bitcoin cannot be a bank huh ? that sounds weird previously I heard topics bitcoin valuation, Bitcoin as a store of value, and Bitcoins as a Global asset. and Bitcoin the freedom? Bitcoin the P2P digital payment system ? and Medium of exchange topics and even some of them are covered by me as well. keep it simple Bitcoin is the P2P medium of exchange. Hope so got it..

If you want to cover its attributes and future potential-like things then do something rather than this because Banks have nothing similar to Bitcoin, they are shady and centralized. They need KYC if they want to access all the financial services the Bitcoin all you need is a paper wallet and an internet connection rest to the things you know. As a Bddy above said "Be your Bank", follow it.

I think they're pointing out the idea that Bitcoin is hard money, and basically you cannot just create more Bitcoin out of thin air, which is what banks do these days.

In that regards, Bitcoin cannot be a bank, in the modern sense. Because you can't just loan it to someone else and add more Bitcoin from thin air to yourself.

You are totally right, Let me tell you about my first interview. It was with a call center in my city. I thought it was a great chance to improve my English while I could earn money too. Well, I went there, and the employer asked me to read a script full of questions like: What is your dog's name, Where was your firstborn, How old are you, And when is your birthday or your dog's birthday? I found these questions strange, (because these questions were not about me, he said you have to ask these questions of other people located in Europe or other Tier-1 countries); well, when I realized what type of call center it was, I made up my mind while I was in front of him and started cross-questioning. I said this is illegal, he said no, we are doing our work.

Actually, he was selling some sort of TV component. Well, i was appointed, but I rejected the job as it was totally illegal and unproductive. The point is, sharing information about your personal data is quite dangerous, just like sharing how many wallets you own or use. (hehe)

I try to give that person the benefit of the doubt and maybe they didn't realize what they were doing, and it was someone else higher up in the company that set up the whole thing to basically socially hack people worldwide.

It's shocking to realize that people actually put time and effort to scam people, it's so annoying and counter productive to society in general.
1845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: April 02, 2023, 11:29:29 PM

Yeah, it is already confirmed that there will be more teams joining the world cup tournament by 2026, this is a development that's been welcomed by majority of sports lovers.
And in my own personally opinion, allowing more countries the opportunity to participate in the world cup tournament come 2026 is a necessity since like we all know, the match is been hosted by three different countries, having more teams play would not only extend the game, it will also extend the fun as well.

Well, the actual stages and groups, etc, have not been decided yet. They are re-thinking how to make it after the success of the 2022 World Cup. It was very fun and interesting all the way, so maybe they will keep the format.

And it won't necessarily be longer as you can have games at the same time as they did near the finals.

Having more teams will make it look a bit more like qualifiers though. Which are also fun to watch on its own. Basically qualifying now for the world cup will be less important than what it was before since almost everyone will be qualifying now.
1846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 02, 2023, 11:24:13 PM
~snip~
Nothing but to agree as there are gamblers/people that will continue to believe with how the outcome will take, people who are aiming for good opportunities, once they felt that there's something good with the predictions and the outcome will favor them they will blindly follow it and will try everything earn that advantage and enjoy the benefits.

If the kind of AI will provide a decent outcome, we will see more and more end users that will use the services and follow it
for their betting practices.

It might end up being something like the weather forecast.

I could see a future in which we will have a small section in the news with the latest AI forecasts for events that are coming. And then sometimes it will be right and sometimes it will be wrong, just like the weather. Even though weather is a chaotic system so it's really hard to predict, maybe other realms would be easier to predict.
1847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin/Crypto wallet are you using? (Hot and Cold) on: April 02, 2023, 10:09:13 AM
I'm really curious which wallets are in use by the community right now, to store and transfer Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. I use Trust and Metamask as a main hot wallets, and Trezor as a cold wallet for BTC and ETH. Please share your thoughts!

Metamask doesn't work with Bitcoin. Anything you store or transfer with Metamask is an altcoin, so beware.

Even if there's Bitcoin in the name, it simply isn't Bitcoin if you're using Metamask with it.

There are plenty of great wallets for Bitcoin, like Electrum, Sparrow, etc, and for mobile there is Blixt, Breez, Phoenix, etc

Friends, you just need to rest for the next few months to stay away from gambling, because I see it looks like you are very angry when you lose at slot games.
I have experienced problems like you and had thoughts of leaving the games I often play, but in reality I came back again to bet on the same game.
It is very difficult to leave a game that we often play and maybe already addicted to that is the cause.
But one day I had that problem again and decided to stop gambling in a few weeks to calm my mind and come back when the mind calms down and get a small win, That's much better.[/left]

If someone is having a bad time gambling, I guess it's time to stop for a bit as you're suggesting.

The whole point is to have a bit of fun for a bit. In the end the math says you're going to lose money in the long term, so might as well enjoy it, and keep it at reasonable levels. If you start spending more money you're just making another person richer with your own money.
1849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: April 02, 2023, 09:37:53 AM
Oh yes, this year there will be the U-20 World Cup which is planned to be held in Indonesia as the host. However, from the latest news, FIFA canceled Indonesia as the host for several reasons. Not only that, before FIFA canceled Indonesia as the host, there were indeed many rejections for Israel from several community groups to politicians as a form of their support for Palestine. I haven't heard the exact reason why FIFA canceled the U-20 World Cup in Indonesia, maybe it could be related to the rejection of one of the countries that might make the World Cup unsafe, or it also has something to do with the tragedy that happened in Indonesia some time ago.
However, if the reason for the Israeli national team was the reason for them to cancel it, many would say that FIFA has a double standard on this matter. Because in the last World Cup they actually removed Russia from the list of countries that would appear in the World Cup. What do you think?

To be honest, anything that is not the actual World Cup is not that relevant.

I mean, sure, U20 World Cup should exist and all, but no one is watching that.
1850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: April 02, 2023, 09:36:48 AM
First of all, we are not on official campaign period, so all these talks about who would be the nominee doesn't really make sense yet, nobody even officially declared yet.

Secondly, Trump is a former president and beating a former president on the reelection nomination is as hard as it gets. Sure dude lost and that is a terrible thing for the party, and they would rather have someone who could win, and last time Trump was in an election, that made democrats vote for their candidate a record amount, so that is a trouble but that doesn't mean that we are going to see the same thing again. Let's see how it will be after 4 years of Trump vs 4 years of Biden faces each other.

The thing is that the United States is a really divided country. Anything can happen, as roughly 50% of the people hate the other half and think they are right and the others are wrong.

Not sure what's going to happen, but it will be close.

Agree to that, once it happen it happened and those who are believers will continue to follow those predictions as they will choose to pick winning side to remember and left the winning side to forge, I mean if AI developers will manage to bring something to the table and it happens that the predictions came true then expect that people will keep on eye with that services, while if that AI failed then those who thinks that it was true will forget about it and move on to another project,.

The thing is that if you have enough predicting services, some of them will be right. At least once.

But then at the next event they might get it wrong. But other company might get it right and get all the attention.

Then suddenly one company gets lucky, and gets a lot of events right. They would get a lot of attention.

Remember that people follow predicting animals like Paul the octopus, so people following an AI is basically not far from that.
1852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin cannot be a Bank? on: April 02, 2023, 09:33:08 AM
Although Bitcoin is a very popular digital currency, Bitcoin has not yet taken the place of banking. At such a stage we cannot transact anything through Bitcoin. That is, through other digital banking services, we can pay electricity bills, pay internet bills, pay water bills, and other bills through Bitcoin, but that is not possible. The main reason for this is that governments of various countries do not accept Bitcoin as a means of transaction. If governments of different countries had given permission to Bitcoin as a digital banking service then I think more people would have transacted through Bitcoin. But as time changes, I think Bitcoin will be considered as one of the medium of transactions.
You can buy and sell goods and services with Bitcoin.

Also, you can buy and sell fiat with Bitcoin, and then use that fiat for goods and services.

There are companies around the world in different countries that facilitate this for you. This means you send them Bitcoin and they pay your bills with it. You never touch fiat.
1853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Random Number Generator and it's importance in Online Casinos on: March 30, 2023, 02:22:39 AM
This Random Number Generator (or RNG) is more commonly known as the algorithm. This kind of method is created by the owners in order to arrive at a seemingly random chance in every game that involves luck. For example, in slots, RNG is associated with it due to the nature of the game and this method has been used even outside the gambling industry. In this kind of method, it insures that the gambler has a certain percentage of winning which is outside the control of the company.

Though this may be the case, I think casino edge plays an impact on RNG. The algorithm that is being used and created somehow favours the gambling website though in a small and fixed percentage in order to at least keep the website alive as all online casinos (or casinos) are businesses.

We now even have Quantum Random Number Generators (QRNG) on mobile phones: https://www.theverge.com/2021/4/13/22381321/samsung-galaxy-quantum-2-announced-qrng-cryptography-chip

These things are advancing extremely fast.

Do you think they are empty sentences?  My choice towards Bitcoin is not focused on an economic return, I don't expect to have put 10 and get 1000 back but rather as Nakamoto writes this is a form of peer to peer payment and you have to conceptually disengage yourself from the counter value towards Fiat.  What you can achieve with Bitcoin is far beyond its value today, but this philosophy needs to be assimilated over time.

Having savings in Bitcoin is absolutely great. Even if the price remains the same.

You have access to your funds 24/7.

You can move any amount, any time. Banks usually start blocking your accounts when the amounts are slightly larger than a few hundred dollars.

Plus they take forever to transfer from one bank to another country.

Bitcoin is freedom. And because it's so useful, many people want to have it, so the value will go up.

To be honest Qatar World Cup was a bad experience in letting a rich country without stadiums host the world cup. They spend lots of money and invested to earn more from it but still, many workers died and many people were unhappy there because of their hosting, however, I guess this time the countries where they host the world cup will not have the same problems as Qatar in 2022.

If we're completely honest, I thoroughly enjoyed the 2022 World Cup. The football was great, and it was really fun and interesting, all the way into the final.

There were less issues than I expected outside the pitch.

At the end of the day, as Maradona said: "La pelota no se mancha" (The ball doesn't get stained, in reference to bad things happening outside the field)

This is what im doing on which i do only have 2-3 wallets.

1. Electrum/MEW- Long term holds
2. Metamask- Active trading on BSC or multichains
3. Metamask- Airdrops/Giveaways

This is what i do make out that partitioning on which you arent really that making of your main wallet to deal up with things which could potentially be
used up actively and connected to net. This is why its better to have on this way rather than on a single wallet to have.Just like you have said
that this is actually depending on the situation and preference of a certain user.

I hope you realize that Metamask doesn't deal with the Bitcoin blockchain, so anything you have there is an altcoin, not Bitcoin.

Just want to be very clear at that, because some people don't realize the difference.
1857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you interpret the fluctuation of Bitcoin price ? on: March 29, 2023, 05:46:11 AM
I consider it as consolidation points to get more BTC

Well, the thing is that it's always a good time to get more BTC.

Until you need money for something interesting, like real estate, or any other valuable asset.

Selling BTC for fiat only to keep it makes little sense to me.
1858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: March 29, 2023, 05:44:31 AM

Of course, obviously things with AI are like this, the data collected will never be the good option to decipher what can happen, also there are many things that influence sports games, who are the ones that motivate players to play like this, what It caught my attention, it was in the World Cup in Qatar where an AI predicted that the final would be between Portugal and Argentina, it was something really chilling because the one who won the mjudnial was Argentina, although the AI was wrong for the contender from Argentina, but It seems to me that it was just a coincidence, I know that the AI quickly pulls the statistics and that is a very good functionality.

There were also some other predictions that said that France and Brazil would be in the final.

At the end of the day, given enough predictions, one of them will be right. So always keep that in mind. People tend to ignore the failed predictions and focus on the ones that actually happened.
1859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying cheap is best formula on: March 29, 2023, 05:42:40 AM
buying bitcoin at a cheap price is the best formula, and now the price of bitcoin is starting to slowly fall and now is the right time to buy bitcoin, and it would be even better to use the dca system in every purchase.

and you op said in 3 months said btc price will be 2 times.
Do you have proof ?

I think the best is to simply buy more Bitcoin as frequently as you can, and then whenever you need the funds, you should be able to get them. Bitcoin will still be there for you.

The 2022 World Cup will always remain as a dark spot in the history of FIFA. Qatar, despite splashing $300 billion to showoff their wealth, refused to compensate the 6,000+ migrant workers who died during the construction of the stadiums. And FIFA also didn't uttered a word about this issue. Children of these migrant workers are still starving to death in Nepal and Bangladesh, while FIFA is making big projections of $11 billion revenue for the next edition of the world cup. I agree with the point that there are enough large stadiums in all the three countries who are the hosts. But extensive renovations maybe required, to modify them as per FIFA standards.

To be honest, I think no one will remember those issues in the future.

Many issues have happened in previous editions of the world cup, and the world just keeps going.

I'm not saying it's a good thing, but that's just how it seems the world works.
