1841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines SEC warns against crypto investment. on: July 16, 2020, 12:00:03 AM
I think Philippine government are just give warning to those scam project which are also using ethereum blockchain. But it will not totally stop using crypto as long as you avoid scam project. Philippine government are just trying to help the people not to scam and not to engage on such ponzi scheme. This news will not totally affect the cryptocurrency adoption in the Philippines.

That's actually their message here and not really stopping their constituents to deal with crypto. Because most newbies don't know how to approach crypto investments, they are just giving precautions towards crypto investments. But if you are already adept with crypto, you already know how to avoid being scammed by these people and not to fall with the strategies of these scammers.

I have a friend in the Philippines and I learned some information from him. The fact is that the Philippine government does not want any people in their country to be harmed. I welcome it because people are being scammed every day. In general, however, those involved in cryptocurrencies have not been much affected in the Philippines.

Most of those who are already into crypto know how to deal with scammers and can readily spot a potential ponzi scheme. And for sure, they are users here in the forum, in which, they have the access to all kinds of crypto knowledge. So they know better.

1843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟 [ANN][REAP] ReapChain - Secure and Transparent Blockchain-Based IoT Ecosystem on: July 15, 2020, 09:42:53 AM
I have seen that the last posters of this thread have their negative trust owed to the AAX thread bumping. What are the chances that the team hired the same group of people to bump their thread? I hope this is not the case here. The rep already got negative trust so if they do want to promote their project to as many users here in the forum, consider holding signature campaign. People will trust your project if you will not hype your own project, just continue the development and post updates here and people will notice your progress.
1844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 🚀Dsdaq-We Make Investment Easier 🌕🌕 on: July 14, 2020, 11:57:58 PM

To be honest, i didn't know about this project before, as i am not also interested in altcoins based projects. But i will keep an eye on this one. Simply because it's interesting when one of them lunch a signature campaign pay in btc. I wish you the best of luck .

Many people did not know about the project before. What do you plan to do for promotion of the project that many people would know about its advantages?
Till now, nothing is clear. My experience with the platform remains in pending until op can solve the isuue of registration using the web browser. As i stated above, the project lunches a signature campaign in the "Services" board, which let me (and others of course) to know about it and this is why i am focusing on experiencing it. The remaining issue is that they require the use via mobile app which i don't prefer.
Let's see what op will say. And let's wait until more users come here and leave their honest feedback about the service provided by Dsdaq .

They need to address issues of their potential users in fast manner because if people will not get the resolution of their problem in prompt manner, I think it will reflect on the platform itself. Users will not wait long time just to wait for their registration issues. People move on to the next. The dev team should take that into account. But with their sig campaign ongoing, they are trying to explore their market, however, small issues should be resolved fast.
1845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CENTRIC -The world's first dual-cryptocurrency payment network. on: July 14, 2020, 11:18:01 PM
The dual payment system is pretty cool.  It will be interesting to see what happens. They have really good exchanges they're listing on as a start, which is good.  I also thing the Proof of Burn concept is novel-kind of like it. At least they're doing something new and interesting unlike 99% of all the other coins out there...

Looking forward

Proof of Burn or being a deflationary token would only work if they will implement their project according to their objectives. If they will be relying on the decreasing supply to increase its value in the market, then their path would be the same with other deflationary coins that had been abandoned by their developers. And since this project is using the TRON network for the moment, do you think you can attract merchants that will integrate your token as part of their payment method? Your aim here is being the world's first dual crypto payment network, so do you have the list of companies that are now accepting your token?
1846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth going for me? on: July 14, 2020, 10:40:40 PM
I am following PayAccept project - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5258011.msg54681210#msg54681210 for some time now much like others here. So I like to know few things and advice from people who already have idea of this project.

They recently made a Turbo sale, which was below 1-2 cents from actual exchange price and it was sold out within 1 hour. So unfortunately, there was no opportunity for me to think or do anything.

Now I just read on their https://twitter.com/payaccept/status/1282630910005972992 that they are doing 2nd Turbo Sale in few hours.

Please tell me is it worth going for??

be careful to this mate, they offer this thing in order to attract buyers, 1st, 2nd turbo sales, I know they could still have the 3rd wave of it. Then, don't wonder why they will disappear after their selling period. Don't risk your money in new projects and especially for big offerings, this is usually a kind of scam. You don't need to be greedy and catch those sales for the reason that it will make you more profitable because you'll be surprised how badly it sinks once they have done with this.

I suggest finding a project that is supported/back-up by a reputable exchange and even it is new project but at least you have an assurance for it.

And one thing that he can do also is if he is indeed interested on this project and found it very promising for him, just wait for it to hit in the exchanges and wait for at least couple of weeks in trading. Usually the price will be cheaper than their sale/turbo sale as dumpers will be selling their share. But as an investor, you should take precautions and conduct deep assessment if this project can really hit it off in the market. As others have said, hard to trust new projects as most of them ended up as either scam or crap project.
1847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CRYPTO PRICE INDEX [CPI TOKEN] [HOTBIT IEO] on: July 14, 2020, 10:00:54 PM
Do you have official statement from these Emirati Royal Families regarding their partnership with CPI project? Can you give us the links stating their participation on your platform?

Also, please attach the linkedin profile links of your team members as published on your website. You only have brief description of each team member.
1848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AELF BLOCKCHAIN ($ELF) on: July 14, 2020, 12:12:51 PM
So this project is an old one, why create a new thread? You have old threads here -

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2981592.120
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2454628

Why not update the first thread? You are already listed in several exchanges, is there any reason why you posted another thread for this project? Do you want a fresh start for this project?

Since we haven't shared anything here recently, we decided to open a new topic to be organized and updated. We were worried that people wouldn't see our latest updates.

You can lock the old threads so this will serve as the central point of communication. Because if the other threads are still open, someone may ask something on those threads. It is better to have only one thread so people will just read the updates and other clarifications asked by your followers here. Also, seems that there's a lot going on here, if you want exposure to the community, you can run your own sig campaign to refresh the community about your project.
1849  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Netermix Possible Ponzi Scheme Scam on: July 14, 2020, 08:08:45 AM
@cryptoaddictchie - can you make the posted images readable so at first glance, users can read what is highlighted? thanks.

This project will not move forward because they have another allegation of using fake team members. I don't think they will be successful in pushing thru this project. Unless, they will massively promote this project outside the forum where a lot of gullible users may believe what they are saying. Even if they run airdrop program, I don't think users from this forum will avail such worthless airdrop. So far, no one bothers to comment on their airdrop thread.
1850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we invest in a bitcoin exchange? on: July 13, 2020, 11:59:03 PM
After many years of trading, I realized that I should have my own bitcoin exchange. With a volatile bitcoin market investing in a bitcoin exchange is really beneficial. I need more sincere advice? After consulting a number of suppliers. Only $ 10,000 for a bitcoin exchange. Details:bitcoin exchange source code . With such an amount, should an bitcoin exchange be invested?

I think this is answered already and I may be repeating this enough, however this question too is highly subjective.

From trader into aspiring owner/founder of bitcoin exchange are two different perspective. The way how to manage an exchange involved a large sum of amount, knowing that it involved developers, experts, advisors and many more; 10 grand could only be wasted like other exhanges with little to nothing, valued right now.

In other words this is very risky, however it doesn't mean this is nothing. If you're committed to do it right, you need to work hard on it.
Quote
sometimes exchanges are created for founders profiteering without thinking their investors' interest

And this kind of goal does need other members to push thru this project. Very hard to run solo in this big endeavour. If the OP is thinking that it is easy peasy, it's not. Each member of the team should have their own skills and experience in order to be successful. Running a legit and decent bitcoin exchange needs more than 10grand. Unless, you want to run a substandard unlicensed exchange. But you will not go anywhere in this business. I hope by now the OP already came into his senses that running a decent exchange takes a lot of resources and hard work. Better stay in trading and do where you're good at.
1851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Cricket Club 3Cs on: July 13, 2020, 11:23:48 PM
are those noobs paid to bump this thread? just a piece of advice to the dev team, please don't use noobs to create hype for this project. that's cheap strategy but users here will not fall to this tactic. maybe run a sig campaign instead of bumping your own thread for nothing. i don't think it will give good impression to the community if you will continue this trying hard promotion, and worst, mod will delete these posts.
1852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: TikTok is a new social media source for promoting cryptocurrencies? on: July 13, 2020, 10:51:37 PM
I don't know if you guys heard that TikTok apps is allegedly being used as a camouflaged by Chinese government as a spy tool or apps, and even USA and India have banned it already, so just be careful if you are going to used this.

As far as using it as a promotional tool, of course everyone can do it. But then again it will be used for all the wrong reason and you might find this as no different from one of the most hated and fraudulent practice, a pump and dump trading signal group.

I guess most users don't care about being a spy tool of this app as most of them are millennials who are excited to share their everyday lives to strangers. Most of them wanted to amass huge number of followers without thinking about their privacy. That's the sad truth nowadays. These social media apps are everywhere and they don't care about what they will do to their privacy. They should read the following articles to enlighten themselves about this particular app.

1853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big Chance (to grow) with small coins - which one? on: July 13, 2020, 08:23:47 PM
It seems like you are shlling for the above mentioned coins. In my opinion, these are not some good coins which we should have looked. Moreover, expecting a good suggestion here is not a good idea because everyone will shill for their invested coin.
I might have to agree, the account was made last 2017 but only have 2 post and it was posted just today, so it is clearly a wake up account  to shill the coins he stated above. I'm convinced.

And without even visiting his profile, you can actually smell something like asking for very unpopular coins. Not even a loser investor would actually ask this one. No offense meant.
He even tried to make it a bit legit by inserting SIA coin at the end, heh. Try too hard to shill an unknown coin by piggyback on Chain Link too.

We all know this kind of tactic is shilling a coin. And yes, most of the time people have vested interested on those coins suggested by them. So if you are a sincere investor, better do your own digging and assessment for the coin. Of course, they will always suggest where they put their investments. As a crypto user, you should know what are the important factors to look at for each project. And on my end, I always look at the actual use case of the platform. Can it really help the community? Do they have active users that can sustain the market?
1854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocoinopoly - Do you consider it a good idea? on: July 13, 2020, 12:53:24 PM
I love the idea and would definitely love to try this out, but you might get into trouble in terms of copyright and stuff, so best be clear and aware of that. As others have already pointed out, there are a lot of funny and interesting ideas that you can place on tiles to make it even more attractive, immersive and fun to the players. Add some meme-y materials into it and you have a golden game.

-

This would be an interesting game among crypto users, so if the OP will finally launched it, use crypto instead of $s. And the equivalent amount should be lower than the example given. Different alts will make noncrypto users check out these other alts. So this is a good way to introduce crypto to noncrypto users who happen to encounter this game.

So for the OP, do you really think you can launch this game?
1855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: TimeCoinProtocol - decentralized sharing economy protocol on: July 13, 2020, 04:44:21 AM

I liked what the team is doing now
at least these are solutions that can change the economy
I hope that the project will be fully implemented and the team will clearly follow the road map

I can get a good income !
I think this will be something important for early investors !

being a newbie here in the forum, are you by any chance a newbie also in crypto? how can you be so sure that you get good income from this project? what do you think are the possible reasons that this will click with early investors? i have seen a lot of promising projects, good team, well-written whitepaper but in the end, they were just abandoned by their respective dev team. so don't conclude this early that you will get what you need from this project.
1856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 12, 2020, 11:57:30 PM
They chose local economy rather than the health of its local citizen but I think there is a reason behind of it after all. Their local government cannot collect tax that they can use to give assistance to those people who suffering because of the virus if those casinos are still closed. It is a double-edged sword for them because they are getting tax from the casinos but there is a high chance that the virus will spread more especially if those crowded casinos do not implement social distancing.

So with the continuous rise of cases, do you think they will be more strict on this health protocol? Or is it better to fully close down casinos for the time being to avoid further chaos. Because you can't expect that all people will follow such protocol at all times. You can't avoid interaction with other people in this entertainment business. No matter what they decide, they should take into account the actual impact to the people who are continuously patronizing these casinos.
1857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be caught unaware on: July 12, 2020, 10:31:37 PM
invest at least 10$ in as much as possible coins that you can get that look promising to you.
Newbies are very easily to badly invest into projects that are told as very promising. Promising, how do you consider a project is promising?

It requires many things and you can not rely on the others to believe in a promising project. Such stupid belief will cause you to invest in that project. I don't care about the technology behind DeFi projects that are widely considered as promising, and also as the future of blokchain ecosystem and financial markets. Months later, maybe within a year or two, you will see how promising DeFi projects are.

Investing in crypto requires meticulous assessment as you can't just follow what others are telling you as promising. That is the mistake of most newbies because they thought that if they will follow prominent personalities in crypto, their funds are safe. But that is all wrong. Those personalities are not responsible to any of your funds, so they don't care what will happen to your investments afterwards. You should do your own evaluation and research on how to get on top of things with crypto. I prefer to invest on existing coins with actual use case rather than new ones with promising goals. Most of the promising goals are shelved once the team abandons the project.
1858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't get moved by fake good news on: July 11, 2020, 11:58:28 PM
These kind of news and updates have been spamming several crypto groups on Telegram and its becoming a common tool and way through which scammers lure unsuspecting people into their cheap scams. They get you interested with false claims and have you join their so called VIP subscription groups and then either sell you spywares and malwares as robots or they take your subscription fee and disappear without offering you anything in return. We all must be very careful.

That is their cheap strategy to attract gullible users. But if you are already considered to be a long timer in crypto, at first glance, you already know if they are saying gibberish or not. And most too-good-to-be-true offers are really scam. There's always a loophole in that offering. Everyone should be vigilant with those kind of offers. If they are already doing good with such offer, why not keep it to themselves and get rich as much as they can.
1859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I like the research first approach adopted by Concordium? on: July 11, 2020, 11:38:45 PM
It is good to hear that they are not holding any ICO for this project. Because it means they have their own source of funds to get going. And they have the resources to do an extensive research to develop their platform. And it seems that they are technically equipped people. I hope they will be successful in launching their platform to the public and not waste their effort and not end up in paper only.
1860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STO - Unique Discord Staking Token on: July 10, 2020, 11:14:00 PM
Checking your partners list, at the moment, you have only one -tip.cc. Are you working on other companies to get on board for this project? High ROI is only true if the coin is of value in the market. How can you assure that your coin will be valuable, any use case in mind? It should attract many users so it can sustain your presence in the community. Without strong use case, it would be very hard for you to go up in the ladder.
