Is the site still down?

It was down earlier if I recall but currently the site is back up.

18563  Economy / Gambling / Re: I am leaving guys. :( on: February 11, 2015, 09:26:30 AM
#magicbeans

I made quite  a big loss of 5BTC today. I had 8.5BTC left, and at PD, I made a big bet and won 4BTC. Then, instead of betting the 4BTC, as I usually do so that I won't lose my principal, (I think I accidentally hit max, otherwise it is not possible), I bet my entire balance for some odds (1.4x or so), and Lost!

Just for the info: my total loss = my total earning till date for 2 years here = 17BTC. Sad
Bet IDs 3738681123 AND 3738420804 Primedice

I made the simple mistake of not checking my bet twice, since I was kinda nervous. Sad

So, goodbye guys, I realized that once you lose all your Bitcoins, you will lose interest.

I will probably a few years later. (I am now wishing contrary to what I wished before, that the price will go to some $50 or so, so that I might be able to buy back some and come back here. Smiley )

Goodbye

Yours sincerely
Watoshi Dimobuto aka magicbeans

Hey its happens to all of us. At least you only lost your BTC and not your house. Its happens. Money and Greed go hand in hand.

Its good that you are quitting.

Sorry about your troubles.
18564  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Looking for Mining ASICs in Canada (Antminer S3,S2,etc) on: February 11, 2015, 05:55:53 AM
I have two HEX4Ms (800GH worth), but they don't have heatsinks installed. Efficiency is about 1W/GH.

Give me a shout if you're interested, I'm located in Ontario so shipping shouldn't be prohibitive.

The efficiency isn't an issue but what would I do to cool the board? Can you buy the heatsinks or use some CPU coolers?

Yes, you can mount stock intel coolers on it if you'd like, kea808 has a few pics of what he did. If the cooler is too weak, though, you might have to downclock in order to keep temps down.

Yes but unfortuantely the cheapest CPU cooler I could find for the 1150 CPU socket was $20 each. So I would need to buy 8 of them and it would end up costing me $160 just for the cooling.

Thanks anyways for the offer.
18565  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Looking for Mining ASICs in Canada (Antminer S3,S2,etc) on: February 11, 2015, 05:50:19 AM
Two months is an awfully short time to expect to ROI with mining equipment. If you could go up some then I would have a single S3 to sell you. Otherwise it is still profitable for me to continue using (pics and proof of mining can be provided upon receipt of serious interest)

How much do you want for the S3?

I can ship you s3+ have a bunch.
I sent you a PM. I hope you are located in Canada
18566  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Looking for Mining ASICs in Canada (Antminer S3,S2,etc) on: February 11, 2015, 05:49:43 AM
is volume a concern?

I can supply you with SP31 units that are currently hosted in montreal, $2400 CAD+shipping (cheaper if you want more than one). but anything over 75% PSU load they are loud for home use. (at about 60% load they are similar to an SP20 at 20-25% fan speed)

I can probably even sell the colocation slot to you (you buy the miner and take over the colocation (its about $100/kw/month + tax)

No I need them for home mining and the SP31 would be way too loud sorry.

I checked bitmain yesterday and did not see them still selling them. However US$100 plus you provide a shipping label would put you at a roughly 3 month ROI with free electricity under current conditions and the price of Bitcoin is low now

I didn't know you were located in the USA. We have a bad exchange rate with the US dollar and shipping into Canada would be too expensive. It would cost me almost $200 for that S3.

18570  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Anyone used a 8 PIN CPU to PCIe converter? on: February 10, 2015, 03:21:43 PM
I cut the end off the 8-pin cpu connect and wired it to a 6-pin PCIe connecter.been running an S3+ for 3 weeks now.

DON'T TRY TO WEASLE IT INTO THE PCIe SLOT!!!!!!! the polarity is reversed.............

I think there are adapters out there but IIRC the price of them seemed sillt at the time so I just grabbed the cutters and soldering iron.

I don't think you can plug it in because there are square and round triangle shapes so it won't fit.
18571  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer S3 or SP20 from Canada on: February 10, 2015, 03:17:44 PM
I think the reason why he wants to charge GST is because he most likely had to pay GST when he had the miners delivered by DHL. Being an order over $1000 and him living in Ontario where the tax is around 13% thats a large set back. When the package crosses the border, Canada Customs charges tax on the value used to ship the goods.

18572  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Looking for Mining ASICs in Canada (Antminer S3,S2,etc) on: February 10, 2015, 03:11:33 PM
Let me know if you are looking to sell any mining equipment. I am located in Alberta and since the mining hardware is heavy I would much rather only buy from Canada.

I am looking for any equipment as long as the ROI is no longer then 2 months based on current conditions AND assuming free electricty.

Escrow is a MUST unless you have excellent feedback on BTCTalk.

Either post in here or PM me and let me know what you have.

Please no scammers.

He wont earn $3/per day more like $1.50. I don't know how you are gettin 5MHASH/S per 280X on X13 algo. Last time I checked its more like 2MHASH/S.

Unless you bought the private kernels from someone.
18574  Bitcoin / Mining support / Anyone used a 8 PIN CPU to PCIe converter? on: February 10, 2015, 12:06:24 PM
Something such as shown.

I am thinking about getting a few of these. I got a few unused 8PIN CPU connectors which would be perfect if they werent used to power some miners. They say the 8 PIN CPU allows up to 300Watts of power.

Anyway to run one of these S3+ with this power supply.

If anyone is interested, i found a great autobet.

2 base cashout at 10 1.15 on loss

can you validate your claims and point us to some evidence?

if its really good, I would like to try it.

LOL. Honestly I tried many of these strategies and schemes but you either make very little, or you make very little slowly and then eventually you lose everythin.

Its at least fun!
18577  Economy / Gambling / Re: WIN88.ME - 2K FAUCET - AUTOBET - INVEST - DICE | LOTTO | RPSLS on: February 10, 2015, 08:34:25 AM
great site but a bit high withdrawal limit

Yes most BTC deposit and withdraw sites have this. Thats why many sites use Dogecoin instead because the withdraw fees are much cheaper.

I am still surprised this website exists.

Makes me feel bad for not investing in it earlier and would of got some decent gains.

I wonder why this one survives but the rest fail. Maybe its the site design.
18579  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: February 10, 2015, 08:32:59 AM
Yes I don't have luck with it either

Honestly I think poker is played best in Real life. On the computer its hard to tell emotion and everything.

Its just not the same.

But its a great site, probably best for poker.

I don't think its a scam because I've been in contact with them several times on their 'LINE' account, plus why would they give you updates on here if they were just planning to do a runner with our money?
Surly they would just shut up shop and just not bother with us at all, but instead they are giving us updates and answering PM's.

I believe that they are having issues because they are new to Linux servers, so that's a whole new ball game compared to windows, the transition from windows to Linux makes it very difficult and bugs do accrue  especially with wallets etc...

Well I don't think its a scam either. If it was a scam it would of been exactly like the rest of the ponzi sites out there. They last a week or less and another day another one opens with the same admin.

We will see.
