Mckennie is really close to joining Premier League from Juventus.

The deal is almost done with Leeds.

I'll agree with you, as I saw the news already before I ame to see it here again, Leeds United are good at getting pacy wingers. I watched Mckennie during the Fifa World Cup with United States of America, his performance was catchy even for someone who barely watch football.
The Premier League isn't a soft place to spray hairs and do all sorts of fashion lifestyle, if you're a consistent player with week in week out performance, you'll rot good on the bench. In few day the deal will come to full agreement.

I think Barcelona's financial condition and financial fair-play rules are the biggest hindrances for Barcelona to sign Messi back. Otherwise of course Messi would prefer returning there instead of extending contract with PSG. Maybe even the reason why he wants to think about his future now could be the probability of a return to his old team. Messi wouldn't see it as a big problem for himself if he takes his time by going free agent for some time as well.

I don't think there is any need for Messi at Barcelona from now on. They can only sign him back if they want to make him play for them one last time right before his retirement.

Every day every Barcelona fans dream is to see Lionel Messi reuniting with Barcelona and the fans
No much needs for him to be back but they will want to embrace the humble step son that was a out some season ago.

Winning one two three games and the trophies would see into the right financial times to get whatever player they desire.
1863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 25, 2023, 09:27:42 PM
I do not think that it will be a tie. I think Chelsea will win and I see a big potential for them. Fulham already lost to Spurs and they would be looking to win one here, if they keep losing back to back then it would be terrible for them, so I understand why people want to see them win, but I do not think that it will happen.

I believe that Chelsea is too good to lose now and they have lost enough and they are not in a good spot in the league, so they need this win and I believe it's going to happen. This is not a simple game, and nobody could predict it easily, nobody could say that this team will win for sure, but my "prediction" is that Chelsea is too good to lose and can't afford it.

Chelsea really lost too much and they have nowhere to retreat, so it is worth waiting for them to take three points in this game at home. But the bookmaker quotes for this game are as follows:

1.57 - 4.00 - 5.50

Chelsea are the clear favourites, but the chances of them dropping points in this game are also quite high - around 36%.

Askaa me and I will say no to Chelsea dropping points to Fulham, they've had too much of the loss now it's time for them to win comfortably. Overlook the bookmakers and follow how they did against Liverpool last weekend.

They're not just going to be favorites they're going to win this game on Friday night.  With the game against Liverpool, if they take good chances they are winning.
1864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Basra Stadium Stampede (football match). on: January 23, 2023, 10:09:05 PM
Should be more on the organizer's fault because they should have anticipated that there will be fans who will really try and force to get in even though they don't have tickets. Beef up the security around the perimeter and tighten up entry points to make sure that they will not be able to get inside the stadium. Pretty sure they already realized that there are a lot of football fans in the area that would really love to watch the game, so maybe they could have set up large viewing screens outside of the stadiums too. What a sad day for Iraq and Oman, especially to those families of the dead.

You cant blame the organizers alone for situations like this. Yea I agree they could have had more security and screens outside but why would people want to force themselves into a stadium when they know fully well that they don't have the match ticket? Its absurd. I don't know what is wrong with people. Life is not so complicated but we make it so difficult. Just stay at home and watch the game or go to a pub or something. If you really love your team and you want to show more support then buy the match ticket. Its almost like they go there and cause trouble, hoping for a stampede to happen so they can sneak in amidst the chaos. I hate hearing news like this because it something that could be absolutely avoided which is very sad.

Declan Rice is still monitored by a few big Premier League teams these days. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have him on their radars.

But Rice is reported to be closer to a Arsenal move recently. As Arsenal are getting close to the league championship day by day this is very helpful for them to be more impressive for players. He would like to play in the Champions League as well I assume so Chelsea's chance might be less than the others at this point. Rice would be a great addition for any team reaching an agreement with him. He is a really skilled midfielder.

With the price tag West Ham have placed on Rice I struggle to see how he ends up at Arsenal if he leave West Ham. It might be another case of Mudryk where the player wants Arsenal but the club don't want to reduce their asking price.
Declan Rice is a good player but he's so overpriced. It has become a norm for English players to be overpriced. Rice is not worth more than 50 million Euros in todays Market. Same thing happened with Grealish. These things are not healthy for the player, it puts too much pressure on them and they end up not been able to live up to the hype. Chelsea and Man United are currently the only teams that can pay that amount for him and United have already gotten Casemiro while Chelsea wont be playing champions league next season so he's most likely staying at West Ham unless Arsenal can convince West Ham to reduce his price tag.

I think Ajax has not only a bad season also not the best management, I appreciate Edwin very much because of his performance in the past for Ajax, but the coach seems to be a complete miscast, also in winter they let Blind go without a transfer fee and by mutual agreement (presumably at the coach's request) let Blind go to Bayern on a free transfer. Where, please, is there such a thing?

And all of this is currently reflected in the lines, I think the players themselves now have little confidence in the coach.

This kind of season has been a long time coming for Ajax. They sell their best players at will to other bigger clubs so what do you expect? Its difficult for very good players to play more than 2 full seasons at Ajax. I don't blame them for selling their players that have high market value but they should know that there are side effects and this season shows that. They sold Antony and Blind without any real real replacements. When the offer came for Antony, he wanted to leave so thy couldn't keep him but 100m is enough money to get a better replacement but they didn't. Then there's Blind who is not only a good player for the team but has lost of experience and can be a leader. He was sold with no replacement too. They also lost their coach too so their form this season is not surprising, what would have surprised me is if they still maintained top form despite all these.
1867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: January 23, 2023, 06:26:55 AM

I agree that Erik Ten Hag is now better than Xavi Hernandez, he is also a coach who has more experience compared to the Barcelona coach now. We will see how they prove on the field, because this is their first meeting because as far as I can remember these two people have never met before as coaches. Manchester United vs Barcelona is one of the big matches that will be played early.

On what basis do you say Ten Hag is better than Xavi? Ten Hag is not the only one that did very well in his former team, Xavi's team before Barcelona did really well too. He won every available trophy during his time there except the club world cup if I'm not mistaken. And currently, to me I think Xavi's Barcelona is doing better than Ten Hag's Manchester United. We can see how both teams have improved under their current Managers so you cant say Ten Hag is a better coach than Xavi.
Except you do not watch Barcelona matches. Too many injuries and poor officiating are major reasons for their early exit from the champions league.
1868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 23, 2023, 06:13:21 AM
For now, every match is important to Juventus because they need those points for them to at least have a Europa League slot. They need a European competition because of the cost of running the team. Monza drew their last match against Sassuolo but the former played good football. Their shortcoming is that they usually create fewer goalscoring chances but they have a good midfield. Juventus must ensure the put aside their current challenges and focus on how to win more matches.

If the don't win the case in their appeal I don't see how they can make it the the European competition spot on that table. A lot of the hierarchy of the team have been dissolved and banned from involving in football activities for at least 8 months. The president, Vice president and sporting director. These kind of things may affect the teams morale on the pitch.
Secondly, they need to win that appeal because if they don't they will also be banned by UEFA, meaning they cant participate in European competitions even if they some how miraculously qualify.
They want to appeal the decision to the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI). The committee has the power to decide whether the decision taken on Juve is correct or not but they do not hold the power to change the or reduce the sanctions.
1869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 22, 2023, 09:42:40 PM
I am sorry if this sounds a little bit harsh, but Marco Reus can't provide anything to United at age 33. He was a good player back in the day there is no doubt about that, but United already has a good roster right now, and the only position they need is a striker.

If they could get a superstar there, then they do not need any more players at all, from the other 10 players on the field to even bench players, they are all perfect and should be fighting for a title if they keep this up, I mean if they started the season better, they would have been fighting against Arsenal right now, that bad start caused them to be not fighting for a title, so a striker and they could be fighting for a title next year for sure.

I have not seen the news where they said Man United is interested in Marco Rues. If its true, then questions need to be asked about United recruitment policy. Aside the fact that Rues is 33, he's also injury prone. As a younger player he was always getting injured, talk more of now that he's 33.

United need a striker quite alright, but saying that's the only position that needs filling would be incorrect. They need a creative midfielder. Bruno is not creative neither is he a play maker. They need a CM that is both a playmaker and is also creative. That aside, Antony is not a player you can rely on as a winger so they should better be hunting for a better right  winger.
1870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: January 22, 2023, 04:26:34 PM
Barcelona look like they are in search of another striker to increase the alternatives. At least the speculations say that. I have seen Enner Valencia's name in the rumours. Maybe this is related to the possibility of Depay's departure. I still think they shouldn't let him go yet but it looks like he can leave anytime. Depay is still a good backup option for Lewandowski actually.

Barcelona had better make their decision carefully not to have only Lewandowski as a striker in the squad. Otherwise the rest of the season might be in danger for them in case of Lewandowski's possible absence. The Europa League goal of them would also be affected badly.

Depay was not a good substitute to Lewandoski in Barcelona. He doesn't play well in the number 9 role. He plays best from the wing and for a very long time he's been really poor for Barca. Selling him is not such a bad idea. Thru got 4m and 200k off their wage bill.

La Liga has informed Barcelona that they can't sign any other player this January despite the sale of Depay due the the Spanish La Liga FFA. They'll have to finish the season without any new signings.
Angel Alacon, an academy player would be his replacement and would be called upon when needed.
1871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 22, 2023, 04:15:34 PM
Logically it is weird if they won Real Madrid but can not win against Getafe. Barcelona are able to break defense of Getafe that is what I believe in. It won't be easy for Barcelona but they can do it.

One disadvantage of Barcelona is Lewandowski has not too good form recently for them. After a very impressive debut and beginning of season, it seems Lewandowski has difficult time after returning from World Cup 2022. That tournament affected his body and maybe partially because clubs in La Liga are getting more familiar with Lewandowski and already found defensive ways to constrain the striker.

It's not weird for a team to win a big team and lose to a relatively smaller team. It's football. It is expected of Barcelona to win Getafe and I believe they will but there's also the possibility that they may lose. It's football.

Clubs in La Liga have not found defensive ways to contain Lewandoski, he's just not in the kind of form he was before the world cup and despite that, he's still scoring and linking up well with his team. It's normal for players to go through rough patch in the season. Hopefully he regains his best form because they need him now more than ever. He won't be playing today's match so that's an opportunity for him to rest a little.
1872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 22, 2023, 04:04:34 PM
My tip for the game of the day!

ARSENAL vs MAN UTD

I believe the most likely scenario for this match will be for Arsenal to win. In addition to the triumph in the last away game against Tottenham, the “Gunners” have shown, in general, a very positive performance, having won three of the last four meetings counting for the Premier League. On the other hand, Manchester United may be down after coming from a draw against Crystal Palace. In this way, Mikel Arteta is expected to put his best players on the field and end up, with some ease, taking the three points home.

Arsenal To WIN

I would like to hear your opinions on this one!

Arsenal will win today's game. It's not going to be an easy win because Man United have been a fine form lately. I think there would be over 3 goals in the match too. Both team will definitely score. Arsenal will have the major possession in the game like they always do and win. United will also play pretty well cause recently they don't play as they used to where they play like they respect the other team. They'll come out to play Arsenal and take the game to them.
It's going to be a very tough and interesting match but Arsenal will come out on top.
1873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 21, 2023, 09:39:30 PM
To be honest I don't think Manchester United would have much chance to sign Harry Kane in case of Real Madrid's joining the race to sign him.

Because Real Madrid are in a much more favourable position for Kane if he doesn't make leaving England a problem. It is up to that actually. I wonder if Kane is okay to leave the country as well if he wants to leave Tottenham. If his answer is yes then Real Madrid and maybe Bayern Munich also would be his best options. Otherwise Manchester United can have the upper hand on these teams and bring him to the team. I don't know if Levy can keep Kane anymore if Tottenham have another bad season without titles.

I don't think Kane would leave England. Madrid or Bayern should be his best destination if he is to leave Spurs. The issue with Kane is a really complicated one. He had the opportunity to join Man City few seasons ago but Tottenham refused and instead of Kane to wait till his contract expires, he went on and signed a new long term contract. What for? Going to United now will be further complicated because Levi and Tottenham don't want to sell him to a rival premier league club. I'd love to see where he ends up but if it was up to me I'll make him join Bayern Munich. But its not going to happen, Kane won't leave England so unless he can force a move out to Join United (which is not such a bad idea), I don't see Levi letting him go.
1874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2022/23 on: January 21, 2023, 08:19:21 PM
Both Braga and Benfica both won their games today. Lets see what Porto has for us later today. Braga is really on Benfica's tail. There is just 4 points between them. Its going to be a very interesting second half of the season ahead. Benfica cant afford to slip if they are to win the league while Braga also have to be at their very best if they're to catch up with Benfica and leapfrog them. Porto also are just about 8 point away from the top spot. If they win their game today it will be 5 points with 17 matches left to play. They fight would be be between Benfica, Braga and Porto. I'm betting on Benfica to maintain their lead and even extend it but you never know. You can never write off Porto. I don't think Sporting CP will get into the race despite been only 12 points behind the top sports. However it goes, I know we would be entertained and I'll be here for it.
1875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 21, 2023, 07:56:12 PM
Atletico Madrid are about to do the expected thing from them. Because it was a really comfortable match for them obviously. They didn't surprise us by finishing the job in the first half already. This win might be some morale boost for them but I still don't want to say something about their future early. Because their main problem has been consistency and we never know what is coming for them next. Osasuna are a team that can make big difficulties for them unless Atletico Madrid don't improve their effort gradually.

Even if they finish in top 4 I still hope Simeone leaves at the end of the season. This team need big changes.

Simeone will be leaving at the end of the season, It has already been said. I agree with you, the team needs changes. Aside from the inconsistency, the way they play is a hindrance to them, especially against big teams. They tend to be too defensive and respect the opponent a bit too much. They are in no position to play that type of football, they have so many attacking-minded players to play football like that. I respect Simeone for all he has done for that team and he's a legend but they need some things to change, like the way they approach games.
Except he (Simeone) wants to rest for a while, finding a new job won't be a problem for him. He's a good coach but at this point in his career, pathing ways with Atletico is best for both parties.

The situation with Juventus is really sad. I do not know the full details of the case but taking away 15 points from them looks a little too harsh. I read they can appeal the case and I really hope they don't get such strict sanctions.
They've been working really hard to get to this level since they started their rebuild and now that they've finally gotten to this level they've been hit with this and it's really frustrating to be honest.
They've received a sanction like this in the past but that was for match fixing.
This might kill the morale of the whole club and go down to affect them on the pitch, which will make it more difficult for them to climb up the table.
1877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 21, 2023, 02:40:26 PM
I knew the match between Liverpool and Chelsea was going to be a draw. They were both too cautious and none of them was really adventurous going forward. They're both two teams that are struggling and a draw was a no brainer.
The draw doesn't favor either team but I guess they'll both prefer a draw to a loss. Its better you have 1 point than having none. I don't see how both teams are going to make it it to the ucl spot but i believe they can still make it to the Europa spot. The draw takes Liverpool one place upward on the league table but their maintaining of that spot depends on what happens in the game between Leeds and Brantford.

1878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 20, 2023, 06:23:02 PM
Chelsea vs Liverpool match is going to be a tough one because both teams are struggling right now in the league and are looking for a way to move up in the Premier league table, Therefore none of the two teams would be happy with loosing this game to the other, So they will prefer going in there for a draw and sharing a point.

Chelsea was a hard side for Liverpool to defeat last season, this season with the poor performance so far I don't see any way possible Chelsea can hold Liverpool down. Liverpool are also not a good side so far but they still have the upper hand to outplay Chelsea.
Chelsea so far has made some new signatures to boost the poor performance hoping things will get better with potter. They are both having same points who wins goes above the other, Chelsea wouldn't want to slow down ekse pressure mounts on potter again.

Trossard is called as "an alternative for Mudryk" for Arsenal but he isn't a player to be underestimated on one hand. He has had impressive statistics in this season and drawn the attention of big teams directly. Like you said he is already used to playing in the English Premier League so he will only need to adapt to Arsenal. But I don't think he would have any problem about that as well. Trossard is a big goal source as well as his productivity with assists. He is like one of the players any team in the league would like to have.

By the way Mudryk has Champions League experience so I expect him also to adapt quickly to this environment.

The advantage of getting him is that he has understanding of how the premier league goes till it finally ends he won't find it difficult to adapt.
But when it comes to Mudryk, he is relatively new to the premier league, he will have some time to settle into the plans of Chelsea.
Another disadvantages of getting Trossad would be nothing but his age, how long will be preform at a top level for Arsenal, not for too long I guess
1880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 19, 2023, 08:02:43 PM
Yesterday Manchester United did not take advantage of the situation to overtake Manchester City in the table and only drew with the average Crystal Palace. It seems to me that after the recent victories, the Red Devils underestimated the theoretically weaker rival, hence the goal conceded in the last seconds of the match and the division of points. Thanks to this, City have a chance to jump three points from their rivals today. But they have to beat Tottenham, and that's not necessarily an easy task. Tottenham are quite an unpredictable team, they can both win and lose against any opponent. I expect an interesting match today and I count on a lot of goals, I bet over 2.5 goals.
Manchester united missed their chances yesterday and it is and advantage for Manchester City to retain their position and get more points over Manchester United if they can defeat Tottenham in todays game. I guess this might put much pressure on Manchester City to get this victory done.  This point is more important to Manchester City because even if Tottenham luckily win the game it won't change their position in the league but Manchester City needs it to gap Manchester United.

The draw won't change the fact that they are currently occupant's of a position they never expected to be so fast this season, majority felt they should compete better next season but tje coach put a mentality and has taken games and results by surprise.
Yeah if Manchester City wins tonight they have a point about above United. Tottenham do not have a chance over Manchester City in this game.
