Danil Medvedev with the huge let down for me, as I have already anticipated that Jannik Sinner game would be considered void and it was but Medvedev with non impressive and losing body language see to it that I lost my bet  Did you watch the game between Bautista-Agut and Medvedev @Harkorede? I watched it for 20 minutes and when you mentioned the body language here, I think you know exactly what we are talking about... I have made bad experiences going with Medvedev in the past and this was again a game when he totally denied to keep playing sometimes, laughing all the time about his unforced errors and about Bautista-Agut points. It came to a point when I thought that it is disrespectful towards the audience who bought tickets to see him. He literally played at times like he would be playing a fun match against his little 5 year old in the garden. The whole body language, the gestures, that was ridiculous. You could see that he cares zero about Halle. It is not about Halle it is about who Medvedev is and that is why I don't like him as a player. If you comb trough posts in tennis topic you will find that I mentioned several times in the past that he managed to lift his game high enough that he isn't getting pressured that often. But you will see that behavior emerge here and there throughout the season. That body language simply can't exit in top athlete behavior. Alcaraz to the finals, and that brings home my first H2H edge, but GG have leveled up against Talon in the Dota 2 match up  GG won their match but they need to win one more before even getting to the final.
@slackovic I remember trough alcohol haze that you asked something about grading DOTA question. It is same as for the tennis. Every correct finalists gets you 1 point and winner one more. So you can have 0-3 points in your H2H match. Anyway I am back home and will be back to my normal routine from tomorrow. But first I have to make up to wife and kid for missing a couple of days. |

PSG's just booked their spot in the top bracket, BetBoom was leading it for a long time until today, now it's just left for GG's game, but I'm not sure how the table works. According to Liquipedia, "GD" is on BetBoom's side even if GG gets a 2-0 and ties for the 5-2. Cro2, how would that work? Is there a game difference score or just H2H?
We are both away from homes for a couple of days so you get only limited coverage. I am on river Zrmanja, rafting with buddies from work and cell signal isn't what it should be. I took a look on Bonta's answers. His 10th answer was not in the format and should give me automatic win, but his 8th answer has 3 different players for finalists and winners, is this even allowed? I see why someone would do it, to increase the odds of getting any points at the expense of the possibility of getting all of them, but is it even allowed? Bonta is new and this is his first try at the answers so we will be lenient if possible. We are not computers and we allow for some discrepancies, I will take a look at answers when I get home and discuss them with my colleague. Format is here to make it easier for us to grade. But if we can see from his answer what was intended we will allow it no matter if it is not properly formatted. For 8th question. It is not usual but it is allowed. I was discussing something similar last season when we had much stronger upper half of the draw. Like it is legit tactic to pick both finalists from same side of the draw if you are sure one of them will reach the final. That way you have guaranteed 1 point instead of gambling for 0 or 2 points. |

From those 5 teams ChatGPT gave him GG are 100% because all others did not come to the tournament or already lost their chances in first phase and went home BetBoom and PSG.LGD showed most in this season but GG have a lot of reserve. i feel like we are searching for winner among those 3 teams. Well... It would be much better than the way I did the DOTA "research". I opened the Liquipedia and just typed the two best teams in both groups (Team Spirit and 9Pandas). I have absolutely no idea how DOTA competitions are organized so I'm not sure how to do the research. If I got that result from ChatGPT, I would have at least have GG in my answer. That was last week info, we are now on Group stage 2 and TS & 9Pandas are quite probably out soon. I see more tutorials about liquipedia are needed  For instance if you are not sure what you are doing always open main competition page. So for this one it is Dreamleague Season 20, not Dream League Season 20 - Group Stage 1 which you were looking or Dream League Season 20 - Group Stage 2 which is now actual. Edit: And by the way, i like eSports question because there are no outright odds for winners. Don't know why but that seems like too easy way of picking and everybody getting same answers like in tennis. Idea is that we ask at least some questions you can't answer just by picking lowest odds. |

Damn! I would have never thought of using ChatGPT to predict results in sport. I'm sure that it is not correct when predicting "real" sport results, but with esport it could work. It definitely makes sense to use ChatGPT than just putting some teams just to answer the question.

Oh man how I hate DOTA! I never watched a single game and researching about it is a real pain in the ass. It took me 10 minutes just to find the damn season 20 of the DreamLeague! I'm not saying it doesn't deserve to be included in the questions, I'm just ranting about it because I don't have much time to do the research.
Btw, what happened to Team Liquid? If I'm not mistaken they were somewhere near the top when we had DOTA question last time. Now I see that they are sitting at the bottom of the group A.
They had bad tournament, maybe even better for them to recuperate a little. Why did you need that long to find it? Just use liquipedia, page I gave you link for. It is literally one click to get there And no amount of research will help you answer this one, it is really though since teams are very similar in strength. That advantage some of them have at the moment will probably mean nothing when we get to brackets. We had a shitload of crazy results in this one. |

In a way they did not happen. They will happen at later date. How can we give a penalty for round where he did not need to play? What happens if he submits late when he actually plays that round? It is really difficult to strike a good balance between competition fairness and actually allowing people to compete. I can't even give a negative point for match that did not happen in software I am using to cover the league. We decided on keeping highest possible standards in first 2 leagues and having 3rd league as a sort of development league. I am quite sure nobody in Division 1 will post answers late or stop playing. I can't say the same for Div 3. Best thing you can do is play well and earn a promotion. We introduced penalties as a way to relegate players that aren't serious enough and to improve qoulity and fairness in first 2 divisions. Due to the nature of competition there will always probably be one league where stuff like this will happen. As the competition grows and maybe even from Season 3 that could be another new bottom division. |

This worked out well for you also since that means you don't get that -1 penalty point for being late in round 1. I wrote about that in the post when Bonta entered our league. Your game against itshalaa and hakan's this week are just rescheduled. When you look the table you can see under games played that you played only 1 game not two like most teams. Check the tables and full schedule and it will be clear. All his games are void as they did not happen. If there was other situation and Bonta did not join, you would have gotten 3:0 as forfeit, same as Kokee got initially and same as all opponents of wszocki got. Everything else is due to H2H. I have 12 correct picks in 2 rounds and just one point to show for it. That is RNG, it will get towards the mean sooner or later. I don't think anyone who looks at this situation objectively can find anything wrong about it. We were super happy for the way how we managed to handle it. |

Shouldn't we have had an extra option on question 9? What if Alcaraz loses in the first or second round? Then the question becomes void? although I don't think he'll lose, but it's still possible😁 I think we would all prefer to avoid the question becoming void😁
If he drops out in second round, quarter final is correct answer. He is free in first round and second should not be played before our deadline. But good catch, I wrote the question with reach and it was a bit unclear so than changed the wording but forgot to add something to the answers to make it more clear. Will be added to the question and if somebody wants to change their answer for this one send me a pm. |

regarding goals in nations league, not sure what to think, 7 was in SF in two matches, expected less
Extra time boosted that a bit. I am expecting at least one ET today as well. and Canada is not a good fit for the USA right now.
USA is playing without 2 very important players in Weston McKennie and Sergino Dest,not sure how well they can replace them. Canada will also want it a bit more for sure. Now I am talking about this game without watching USA play for couple of years while I only watched Canada during WC when they were in the group with Croatia. That Canada can make a lot of problems for team like USA used to be.
I found a way to integrate penalty points with the main table. Will do so with the results for Round 2 so those of you affected by this will see it in the league tables. |
