Except proof of stake has no value whatsoever.  You shills and scammers can go ahead and give up spamming all your Eth pump topics:

Why proof of stake has no value:

Since Satoshi did not solve the Byzantine generals problem, this means confirmations are completely arbitrary.  So why are two confirmations more useful in Bitcoin (PoW) than one?  Because it's an open entropy system where over a period of time, it's either unlikely or statistically impossible for someone to maintain a monopoly on block validation when there is no upper limit to confirmations.

Recursive systems like proof of stake tend to permanently monopolize block validation by design, with no real fault or state recovery to fix it once it goes off the rails.  This makes a proof of stake confirmation essentially worthless due to being a bounded entropy system.

On top of being worthless, proof of stake is also a permissioned ledger since the purpose of mining in Bitcoin is to create a permanent decentralized exchange peg, which thus results in a permissionless system.

Ad hominem when you can't disprove legit concerns. So predictable.

Saying you're a "freshly created shill acccount from 2016" who is constantly posting false statements is not an "ad hominem", it's a fact.
1864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 21, 2016, 05:15:40 PM
Um, I know how market cap works.  My question is, who are these lunatics constantly manipulating XMR buy side walls to such extents.  For example, on BitFinex right now, there's some guy who adds +2000 BTC to wall when he wants price to go up and removes 2000 BTC support when he wants to buy (it's currently down).  This is only around 20% of the wall total.  On XMR, the "float" of manipulation is 80% of the wall instead of 20% lol.
1865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 21, 2016, 04:52:52 PM
How does this coin go from 180 BTC to 1000 BTC, then back to some negligible number over and over again buy support - repeat cycle to infinity.  Let's summon the relevant MatTheCat quotes:

This Bullshit aint the work of an aggregate market.

it is futile trying to read these markets

these markets are just not to be traded

I can't reasonably expect to be able to play these markets

1866  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 21, 2016, 04:16:35 PM
Sure I have. So did everyone who stayed in school past 6th grade. Modern economy is based on it.

Nice, he shills against Bitcoin and for Ethereum + fractional reserve fiat banking.  Scumbag Zionist Jew banker shill detected.
1867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining DAO on: May 21, 2016, 04:08:08 PM
It tends to be discriminatory to scammers if things like block reward are independent from the coin issuer, so things like mining are discouraged here.
1868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ethereum Paradox on: May 21, 2016, 04:04:51 PM
You didn't read the post and are just babbling on about nonsense.  Everyone knows governments have the power to attack any cryptocurrency that exists.  Proof of stake coins have absolutely 0 fault or state recovery to resume from a successful govt attack, while PoW actually does.  If anything, your argument just makes PoS coins look weak.

The advantage of proof of stake coins and ASIC resistant proof of work coins is nonexistence of few large concentrated facilities operating with gov consent. ASIC friendly POW facilities is an easy target, so easy they actually allow Bitcoin to run and take their time to milk investors with full knowledge they can power it off at the time of their convenience.

All completely wrong.  You just shift the attack vector from miners or pools to exchanges and banks, which are even easier targets.  All that infrastructure is already under complete government control and regulation in the first place.  You're also on a brand new account that was likely created entirely to shill for IPO scamcoins, so what other types of answers could anyone expect from you.
1869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ethereum Paradox on: May 21, 2016, 02:38:29 PM
What double spends. I am talking complete shut down of the hashing network if it somehow becomes a menace to the totalitarian power and control.

can't afford to pay you a living wage

So how much are you getting paid by bankers to shill against Bitcoin?

Chinese government can destroy Bitcoin in 15 minutes if they please

Completely false.  If the Chinese government tried anything, they could temporarily get a few double spends off, which would quickly be noticed, then there would be overwhelming consensus to change to a different CPU or GPU algorithm to make their actions useless.  This is why they would likely never attempt to do such a thing in the first place; it would be the equivalent of destroying your own country's gold reserves (large mining investments).  You would just be destroying your own capital.
1873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Major NEM Announcement on: May 21, 2016, 02:04:06 PM
“The private networks, once you get them on Bitcoin technology, it’s very easy to upgrade them to a public network from a private network."

Is this a joke?  Nobody has any interest in buying coins created out of thin air by a central authority for profit.  That's the same thing as the banking system we already have.  The only reason Bitcoin has value is because there is no central banker issuing the block reward and the block reward is independent from it's creator.  None of the stuff you're talking about is a "decentralized currency".

Federated chains are appendable spreadsheets of 0 value.  Cryptocurrency means open entropy systems, not recursive systems, not bounded entropy systems, not federated chains.
1874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Truth About r0ach's Altcoin Agenda on: May 21, 2016, 01:47:44 PM
I haven't lost money on any alts.  As you can see, I don't have a paid sig ad because I'm not some guy from the streets of Calcutta, desperate to make $3 on a scamcoin.

Top four stories about ETH

They forgot this one:

1876  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lose all your capital fast, with MatTheCat and his TA 101A! on: May 21, 2016, 01:35:31 PM
Another meaningless Mat chart drawing millions of lines from completely arbitrary points that occurred 2 years ago.  When the cost of production of a Bitcoin doubles in 49 days, where is that located on your chart?
1877  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ethereum scammers trying to suppress BTC till they find someone to Dump Eth on on: May 21, 2016, 01:29:42 PM
Is that so wrong?

You forgot this question:

Isn't the fact that paid shills are hyping Eth a giant red flag to anyone that's not an idiot?
1878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Pump and Dump ScamCoin Pumping again to $15 on: May 21, 2016, 11:59:53 AM
BTC code could be changed to allow >21m coinage.

Nope, but that's what the scammy Eth shills like you love to spam to try and pump Eth:

People already attempted this at the first Bitcoin halving by trying to fork to a continuous 50 block reward chain and it was a miserable failure.  Even if you temporarily rented all hash power on earth to try and get temporary consensus, the economic majority would stay on the normal chain and miners would be forced to switch back and mine on it after their coup fails.  Miners are forced to go where the economic majority is, not vice versa.
1879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 21, 2016, 11:56:26 AM
I think that part of the money invested in the DAO has been by new commers to the cryptocommunity.

I don't.  The DAO was denominated in ETH and the ETH price wasn't going to the moon or anything while people were putting money into the DAO - meaning it's mostly just existing Eth holders.  Eth was clearly pumped by a single entity afterwards.
1880  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ethereum scammers trying to suppress BTC till they find someone to Dump Eth on on: May 21, 2016, 11:32:34 AM
blah blah blah

Why do you always dodge the question of who is paying the paid shills like yourself on the forum?  You've made literally 500+ spam accounts that all get banned eventually.  Nobody does such a thing without economic incentive.  Isn't the fact that paid shills are hyping Eth a giant red flag to anyone that's not an idiot?
