People sometimes confuse 'crony capitalism' with capitalism. Corruption and crony capitalism are to be blamed for a lot of problems in the developing world.

No one can blame Stunna for missing payments right now he is too much busy with PD3 and most of members which are waiting for payments need some patience
No problem with the patience bit. We have waited a couple of weeks. We can wait a bit more. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) And given the past history of payouts, I don't think we have to worry.

bitcoin is speculative. I'm not sure I'd call it a 'decent' or 'good' investment.
It's pure speculation, I think a lot of money can be made in the next generation of serious alts.
A lot of money can be made, and a lot of money can be lost as well. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif)

High school kids turn techpreneurshttp://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/High-school-kids-turn-techpreneurs/articleshow/41139965.cmsWhen John was 15, he started a server rental business for gamers and then another that allowed people who took surveys to, say, read a book for free online. "In these stints, I developed an interest in payment processing. I began to research the area, and delved into bitcoins. I thought that with bitcoins, one could bring down remittance charges to a fraction of what money transfer companies charge. It would even allow, say a farmer in Mizoram with no registered business and no bank account to do business with someone in the US," John says. Alongside his Symbiosis course, John is now busy building a bitcoin transaction platform that he hopes the world will do business on one day.

Also met someone who wants to bring ATM's to India. They cost anywhere from 10 - 20K USD. Its worth talking and getting it setup. Go for it. If the Reserve Bank of India doesn't object. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

The argentina peso is already more or less pegged to the dollar on the government sanctioned currency exchanges. The most likely scenario is that Argentina would have a much higher adoption rate of bitcoin then the rest of the world. The government of Argentina is unlikely to give up control of their currency as they are more or less a deadbeat government (has a history of defaulting on their obligations).
It is not an efficient peg. They don't have the reserves to defend the peg. There is a huge premium on the USD in the black market.

Selling of bitcoins raised by ethereum was given as one of the reasons for the price dip over the last month. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

BitFighting.com only has five spots open? Hardly seems worth it. The signatures will barely be even noticed, especially with most of them seemingly just being Members.
Another weekly paying campaign. Good. Hopefully, they increase the number of participants.

Bitcoin shows staying powerhttp://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tech/tech-news/Bitcoin-shows-staying-power/articleshow/41093047.cms?Until recently a niche alternative currency touted by a fervent group of followers, bitcoin has evolved into a software-based payment online system. Bitcoins are stored in a wallet with a unique identification number and companies like Coinbase and Blockchain can hold the currency for the user.
Still, broad-based adoption of bitcoin is at least five years away because most consumers still prefer to use credit cards, analysts said.

Very interesting article The very first time this has been properly contextualised in the Indian media. The law needs to get up to speed fast.
Not just the law. We have to think about this as well. It will not help if we have a brain wallet and our next of kin does not know about this. I believe that the answer to inheritance lies in closely integrating it into the Bitcoin Protocol itself. While Multisig is catching up quick, Time Locks have to be added as well at some point in time for the extra cautious. That would be brilliant... I guess as more and more people start using bitcoin, such features would be demanded.

There is one good site for purchasing metals I am using GoldMoney.com created by James Turk in 2001. I used to buy a lot between 2010 and 2011 and then switched to bitcoin. ANyway I think it is the easiest way to buy & sell gold and silver. They apply Comex prices but if you want to redeem your investment they charge you for delivery of the physica bars. For those who are looking to diversify and have quick liquidity of their assets it is a perfect match. Another site which is fully bullish on BTC is Amagi Metals. They are looking to phase out fiat. http://blogs.wsj.com/moneybeat/2014/08/22/bitbeat-bitcoin-accepted-here-dollars-not-so-much/

How many of us think of what will happen to our digital assets (bitcoins included) in case we meet with an untimely demise? http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2014-08-22/news/53112597_1_bitcoin-digital-afterlife-heirsC Suresh, 37, a software engineer based in Bangalore, has been racking his brain trying to find out what to do with bitcoins left behind by his elder brother who died in an accident earlier this year. "All I have is his laptop; the currency has perhaps been stored on some hard drives which we have no clue about," he said.
