You still not dropping the right information

1. What OS are you running on? Linux or Windows?
2. Do you change the riser completely or the riser's USB only.
3. Are you using an LHR card or a Non-LHR card?.

1862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Electricity sorting first before building a rig on: March 27, 2022, 04:35:08 AM
The most efficient graphic card for mining today is AMD RX6600 XT using 6 of these bad boys will cost you 440watts at 191MH I've never seen any build this good.

1864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gpu mining on: March 25, 2022, 05:52:47 PM
Why do you say that??  Flux CCX and XHV give me pretty good rewards from the 3060 that i use
also all of those coins to me seem like they have a lot of potential
The only reason profit is higher than ETH or comparable to ETH on the other coins is because they're competing with ETH to attract hashrate. When ETH goes PoS, 95% of the mining rewards available for GPU's will disappear. Millions of video cards will be competing for the 5% of the block rewards that remain. Difficulty will skyrocket on the other GPU coins, so profit will crash, leading most operators to liquidate their rigs at well below MSRP. This already happened in late 2018.
Difficulty will skyrocket when people can't even pay for electricity bill anymore? Many rigs will go offline that's a certainty, who would keep mining if a 300$ gpu is giving you 0.4$ per day? Many won't be able to settle electricity bill aside they will sell GPU at loss.
1865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH mining nearing end of life - When will you liquidate your rigs? on: March 25, 2022, 05:45:01 PM
Why would I liquidate my farm when everything has been paid off just because ETH is rumoured to be going Consensus layer this June/July? What makes you think if a big bug was found that they'll launch it in three months? lol
It's no more a rumour I suggest you take this very serious, the ETH PoW algorithm is going away but I think vitalik buterin isn't happy about it either, the PoW algorithm is the best way better than PoS algorithm.
1866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Danger awaits Metaverse coins on: March 25, 2022, 10:37:27 AM
Come to think of it, there is no metaverse project that's completed yet, they are all hanging on to their BETA self, if the bear market comes hard this time around I think metaverse coins will dip so much that the hype won't be no more until a project finally have a complete metaverse tech in action.
1867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Start selling your GPU now on: March 25, 2022, 10:31:05 AM
GPU prices are crumbling on aliexpress right now, it's good to see rx580 brand new at 300$ again last time it was 500$ as old as the card is, Polaris for that matter lol, I have a feeling that this BTC recovery of 44k could be the last, I also see many selling their GPUs already, they are smart to be honest I imply you all do the similar.. Later when things cool off you can start buying back, don't be the scape goat.
1868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Running fan at higher speed on: March 24, 2022, 10:17:01 AM
This is why server cases are very good, they have extra cooling installed in them so you don't need to keep fan speed at 100, the max fan speed should be is 75% and that's even AMD cards like rx580.
1869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What can 2500$ do in 2022 on: March 24, 2022, 10:01:41 AM
Your first rig was built in a good time where a single 1660 can give you up to 3.5$ per one, getting your ROI back will take you just 4 months but today that's not the case, this card gives only 0.88$ per one right now so buying at 416$ is a bad move, even 300$ per card is not good right now.
1870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am big fan of SHIBA on: March 23, 2022, 08:08:51 PM
Shiba inu will prevail in future because it's now more than just a mere meme token, its utilities will keep it at the top rank on coinmarketcap for a long time, this is a project you don't want to miss cos by 2024 this can perform almost as good as dogecoin did last year.
1871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top coins to buy in a bear market? on: March 23, 2022, 05:18:08 PM
For long term purposes I would pick monero because it's more popular and old, the chance of survival after another 5 years is certainly unlike that of new altcoins that are very hard to predict their future.
1872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Staking a better alt to mining in bear market? on: March 23, 2022, 05:10:03 PM
Ethereum Classic has been performing so well after ETH 2.0 testnet became a success, it's like this coin is looking 👀 out for this PoS algorithm switch on ETH.
1873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitgert Vs Shiba inu on: March 21, 2022, 06:08:48 PM
I only get to know Bitgert on my news feed, seems they have been heavily paying bloggers for marketing. I doubt we are going to easily get any Meme that will perform the growth and support of Shiba Inu, otherwise the whole system will be filled with shitcoin rise and dominance.
This is why shiba is a better investment right now, am I the only one seeing how strong shiba inu have been while BTC is dipping and surging between 30ish and 40ish shiba inu price is standing strong, I'm bullish on this project for long term.
1874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My crypto mining advice on: March 21, 2022, 06:06:35 PM
Time to start buying sha256 ASIC miners instead? There will be no need of all this panicking since BTC will forever remain a PoW coin Grin Grin Grin.
1875  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Which hardware wallets are open source? on: March 21, 2022, 06:04:05 PM
Bitbox02 by ShiftCrypto is open source:
/cut/

Yes, the Bitbox hardware wallet is already on the [ LIST] Open Source Hardware Wallets compiled by dkbit98. According to their official website, the BitBox02 firmware was audited by Census Labs along with consulting done by multiple third-party security firms.

Can one purchase this hardware wallet on Amazon store or Newegg? Also can you drop me the official link to this wallet website thank you.
1876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The fate of crypto mining on: March 21, 2022, 03:05:45 PM

ETC could easily go 10x the money with the support of miners.

Up to $390

Every time a POW coin goes POS, I move my money out of it.

The ethereum KILN fork is being tested (final fork before the move to POS). The estimated date for the move to POS is end of June.

I have some of them,ETC but I sold many of them yesterday making some good profit.I think that ETC is the next best thing to mining if ETH really moves to PoS.The only problem I see is that one time it was hacked, was something related to DAO I don't know for sure and that is why the original devs stayed with ETC and the others moved to a more secure coin which we know as ETH today,in a gross context I think this was the story. We risk another hack if the devs do not secure their network or I am being way to much paranoid here?
You make this sound as if ETC is the first of its kind while ETH came out of ETC I'm hoping this isn't what you are saying also I see more hopes in FLUX than ETC it's more secured that's why I said this.
1877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rx580 still good? on: March 16, 2022, 03:03:38 PM
Since this is only active rx580 thread let me ask.
In one of my rigs now I have couple of 3070 and couple rx580
I know 580 with Phoenix miner were mining around 31mhs and miner  was reporting 85-90w
Since this is mixed rig I switched to lolMiner 3070s are mining normal but with 580s power draw changed to 120-130w. OC on 580 is 1150cc and 2159mc(Afterburner) but I don't know how to undervolt it to 850mv as lolMiner doesn't support those parameters. I'm alps running AMD memory tweaker with suggested values (don't have them on top of my head now)
I hope someone can help.
Thanks!
Load up hiveOS you will be able to use 850mv using Teamred miner and lolminer or Trex miner for those 3070 at the same time, if things look confusing for you go on YouTube and search for ' how to run separate miners in hiveOS" .
1878  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Which hardware wallets are open source? on: March 16, 2022, 02:49:58 PM
It's really shocking that I'm just knowing that hardware wallets are of two types just like every other PC and mobile wallets, my thought was every hardware wallets are fully open source until a day ago thanks to this forum still but now which hardware wallet is open source?

I believe Trezor hardware wallet is 100% open source and highly secure, with a similar level of security to hardware wallets such as the Ledger Nano S and other commercial devices. The Trezor Wallet has also been around for years and already has an excellent reputation.

For a complete list, you can check out the post that OmegaStarScream has already recommended:
[ LIST ] Open Source Hardware Wallets

Do open source devices give you the feeling that your funds will be safe? Is open source software synonymous with security and reliability? Why is there such 100% trust in the open source?

Could it be that Trezor or other HW brand puts one piece of software on public display, but installs a completely different one on their devices? Is it possible to implement it in such a way that it cann't be verified?
It all comes down to one thing though, whichever crypto wallet you decide to use you need to store your recovery phrase in a safe location yourself, no wallet can keep it safe for you not even a hardware wallet.
1879  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How far has Bitcoin been effective? on: March 15, 2022, 07:19:47 AM
People needs Fiat to buy BTC and that's why I believe that Fiat will always be around, many newbies make mistakes of buying all they can at once instead of buying bit by bit because market isn't stable, there is bull and bearish market so buying bit by bit will give you better advantage than buying all in one go.
1880  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Best BTC open source wallet on: March 15, 2022, 06:10:48 AM
What's the best BTC wallet that can run on desktop and fully open source? I'm mining through Nicehash website using GPU but getting paid in BTC and I want to store BTC as long as possible that's why I create this topic here, hope I'm in the right section.
