1861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Gambling is Fun? on: July 18, 2016, 02:53:16 PM
The great fun part of gambling is right before you press "roll" or "spin" and whatnot, you feel that adrenaline rush and that is a great feeling that can make you addicted to it, but it's really fun if you do it casually, if you do it all day it becomes a big problem.
1862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 202: McGregor vs Diaz 2 betting thread on: July 18, 2016, 02:48:23 PM
Mc gregor  has the strength and advantage in this match. But no one knows who will win. They both have a chance. Nothing is impossible inside the octagon. Thats why i always bet on the larger odd. Cheesy
Im not sure if McGregor is stronger than Nate. Sure McGregor is on top shape, the guy looks ripped in clothes, but Nate is taller, im not saying taller means stronger but generally this can be the case in people that exercise. I think we are going to see a close match. Will not decide on my bet until the last day.
1863  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining in 20 years time on: July 18, 2016, 02:33:12 PM
In 20 years Bitcoin will be anywhere from around 100,000 dollars to 1,000,000 dollars per coin, which means the mining reward will be enough so it's not a problem. This looks unrealistic to a lot of people which is why few people will become really rich. Most people will sell along the way and less and less people will hold whole BTCs.
1864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hardfork = Mitosis on: July 18, 2016, 02:20:26 PM
So you call yourself a "Free Market Capitalist" but you are afraid of a free market?  Wow, I'm impressed.

FYI, hard forks have occurred in the past.

FYI, the only way both forks would continue on is if a subset of miners kept mining each fork.

FYI, if that happened (it wouldn't), you would still control the same amount of "money" with the same private keys, it would just be divided across two chains.
Free market has talked and has said that don't want the Classic shit anywhere near Bitcoin. Classic developers are complete amateurs and we can't let morons take control of the most important ship ever. Leave the best developers (Core devs) do the job and stop trying to be smarter than you are.
1865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overcoming halving on: July 18, 2016, 02:15:26 PM
What worst things? Things are looking great, pessimists need to shut the hell up to be honest. We are making progress and this will translate into the price sooner or later. Don't get too obsessed with looking at the price, that is like looking at the scoreboard instead of paying attention to the playing field.
1866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How easy is it to shut down Bitcoin? on: July 18, 2016, 02:10:36 PM
None of those proposed scenarios annihilate Bitcoin.. they can only try to weaken it, but it will survive and rise again and again. The only way to totally ruin it would be to go on a global internet shutdown which is totally retarded and unrealistic so it's not a real problem.
1867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a failure? This is untrue. on: July 18, 2016, 02:01:38 PM
Bitcoin is looking better than ever, and this is starting to translate in the price again. Core is doing an excellent job, moon is the only place to go, but I guess some people never learn to buy and shut up.
1868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 202: McGregor vs Diaz 2 betting thread on: July 15, 2016, 04:17:50 PM
I always love to see the Press Conference of McGregor. McGregor Trashtalk is really good, lol and about this match. I think McGregor got this match.

well when you think about it, McGregor can back his trash talk up with his performance in the cage.

I bet on Diaz the first time, but now I am actually not sure. I'm leaning towards CM

I think I will also go with McGregor this time. If he is not able to win again... he can be in deep trouble, his aura of that almost unbeatable guy can disappear when he gets beaten twice by the same guy. It will feel like all that takes is a taller guy with skill to beat him, but im sure he will find a way to overcome the Diaz's advantage on the reach.
1869  Economy / Gambling / Re: Battlecoin.org - Multiplayer bomberman clone on: July 15, 2016, 04:15:08 PM
Anyone can join games? It's not working for me. When I open the webpage, nothing works. I see the chat is loading, and I see the servers are loading. In the center it says "Loading games .." and nothing happens. So I think that the servers are all off. Not even what's hosting the chat is online anymore. Is this game dead? I hope not since it was the best bitcoin game I have ever seen.

It's either you have an extremely slow internet connection or the server of the site is finally dead. Regardless of these situations, you wouldn't be able to play Battlecoin since there are no other players. The only way you would be able to play is if you contact people to play with you. Battlecoin has zero players for a long time now.

I think it's not fully dead, there are still people playing some matches, or at least that's what I've heard. Of course the player base has gone down. I remember once I saw like 100 people in the chat...

It's unfortunate, the idea is great and i love the pixelated colorful layout of the site. I hope development can be continued soon. Someone should buy this project and continue it or something.
1870  Economy / Speculation / Re: We'll be at 10,000+ by 2026 on: July 15, 2016, 04:11:14 PM
I think the OP is not very confident. With the general mass adoption of the bitcoin, the price will be over $100,000 each.

I am indeed being very conservative. But the thing is, we don't even need mass adoption of bitcoin, we only need whales moving their wealth on bitcoin. With a small % of gold and stocks moving in bitcoin ecosystem, price can be $100,000+. I said $10,000 as a conservative figure.
1871  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: July 15, 2016, 04:07:55 PM
Bitcoin is the most undervalued asset/liability/however you want to call it, on the planet, so it's very difficult to spend your Bitcoins on meaningless stuff, for that, I use fiat. So I use bitcoin like gold, not like a currency.
1872  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the next BIG event after block halving that may boost bitcoin price? on: July 15, 2016, 03:59:30 PM
Block size increase will never give us anything else than a quick pump and dump. It's the clever stuff like segwit hand lighting the stuff that makes the software more solid and trusted.
1873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regret and depression on: July 15, 2016, 03:39:39 PM
Indeed, one of the best antidotes against depression is to never miss on Bitcoin ever again, so you have to buy and stop looking back, look at the future and be thankful that you even know Bitcoin exists.
1874  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the next BIG event after block halving that may boost bitcoin price? on: July 15, 2016, 03:26:12 PM
The next big event will be the deployment of segregated witness into the network. Once this happens, stuff like sidechain and Lightning Network will be closer than ever, so all we need is to keep supporting Core devs and we will get there.

1876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are ? on: July 13, 2016, 06:00:55 PM
I have lost money on ICOs and I had the opportunity to make some real money but iW as too greedy when I needed to sell. It's always the same problem for me, I wait too much time to sell and take profits. What I have learned is, the only thing worth holding long term is Bitcoin, the rest of the crypto stuff is just not worth the stress of a long term hold, as long as you see nice profits I would sell.

ICOs especially Bitcoin ICOs are almost very very risky. The only successful ICO was maybe Ethereum. There was also some Bitcoin startup ICOs which all turned out to be scams.

Even real stock type of IPO are risky also. Look what happened after the Facebook IPO.

I think Maidsafe had an ICO too and the price went up a lot. Of course it has not reached full potential yet, and it has crashed a bit, but I think people that hold Maidsafe for longer will get better results.

After the Ethereum and Maidsafe ICO's I have not seen any better ICOs worth risking BTC over.
1877  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach $1000 again or not ? on: July 13, 2016, 05:44:53 PM
The chances of $1000 this year are increasing exponentially every day that Bitcoin wakes up above 500 dollars, and it seems we are still going. Look at at the all time graph, we have only gone up since january 2015.. it seems people forget about this.

And yes, we will reach $1000 and way more, it's impossible that we don't. Bitcoin is tiny, it's only the beginning.
1878  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to hit $10,000? on: July 13, 2016, 05:39:29 PM
imposible is price up run $10000, ten thousound dollar price every one bitcoin,
is crazy , is only fee send miniumum 10k satoshi equal 1dollar, is crazy price crazy fee send and transfer

5 years, people thought it was not prossible for the bitcoin to be $100. Now, the price is much more than that.

I remember in the early days, a lot of people said that 1 dollar per Bitcoin was simply insane, than it would never happen, then we hit more than 1000. So what's clear is, people always fail when trying to predict the bitcoin price, they are always not aiming higher enough because they see it as impossible.
1879  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you know BTC price will go down or up within a day? on: July 13, 2016, 05:23:13 PM
It's impossible to know and whoever is claiming to be sure is lying, but you can look at the fundamentals and try to guess where the price will be at at a gross estimate of 1 to 2 months, and the uptrend is still clear since early January of last year. Other than that.. you can't know about the price movements daily, unless you are a super whale about to buy or sell a lot of it, enough to modify the market price.
1880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is too slow on: July 13, 2016, 05:09:34 PM
The only way that Bitcoin can compete against payment transfer giants such as VISA and whatnot, is by the 2 layer solutions such as the Lightning Network, because on chain transactions will never be useful for fast cheap and big volume action, this will always require stuff like Lightning. SO once we have Lightning a lot of this will be fixed.
