One reason Bitcoin will catch on here is that payments for these types of tournaments have taken sometimes months to process and pay out. Bitcoin is ideal for this market.

Thank you very much for adding us Smiley

Can we vote on selling more shares? I hold shares too and do not like the idea of selling more.
As a stockholder I do agree as this would dilute the current worth of the stocks making every stock slightly less worth, the only reason I believe releasing more stocks is if the company needs more investment to expand or invest in more equipment. In that case the worth of the stocks will increase as there is more miners running Smiley

People in here have been so nice, so I am just gone ask for help with another thing I have been thinking about. I have a old computer standing around, the reason why I don't use it is because it has no harddrive the on in it broke and so far I haven't bothered replacing it. Is there any program I can use to run litecoins from a usb stick? and if so anyone feel like they can help me set it up? Smiley thanks

I recommend Ubuntu bacause it is easier to use: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/download

And here is step by step instruction for miner:

1.Open terminal
2.Type: sudo su
3.Type: apt-get install gcc libcurl4-nss-dev automake autoconf git make
4.Type: y if asked
5.Type: git clone git://github.com/Lolcust/Tenebrix-miner.git
6.Type: cd Tenebrix-miner/
7.Type: ./autogen.sh
8.Type: CFLAGS="-march=native -O3 -Wall -msse2 -msse3 -msse4 -msse4.1 -msse4.2" ./configure
9.Type: make
10.Type: ./minerd --algo scrypt --url http://lc.ozco.in:9332 --user camopejb.1 --pass 1234 -r -1 -s 3

After each command press Enter  Grin
If you don't want to type you can do Copy/Paste in terminal with right click Wink
Thank you very much Smiley

Thank you very much Smiley It seemed to have solved the problem, I am now getting around 8 khash/s. Is there anything else I can do to increase my speed?

In order to increase your speed replace pthreadGC2.dll with this one:

http://content.wuala.com/contents/jbw9/pub/Bitcoin/Tenebrix/miner/win/pthreadGC2.dll

And replace minerd with this file:

http://content.wuala.com/contents/jbw9/pub/Bitcoin/Tenebrix/miner/win/minerd-corei7-avx.exe?dl=1

(rename it to minerd.exe)

I am not sure what is wrong but the p2pool seems very wierd.

Nothing wrong with p2pool - it is normal behavior  Cool

Litecoin was launched on Thursday Oct 13, 03:00 GMT

First month... Smiley
Congrats!  Grin

Thank you for the help, really increased my speed Smiley

DeaDTerra,
I had the same problem when I tried out the GUI, I managed to solve it by adding pthreadGC2.dll to the program's directory. Find it here:
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?pthreadgc2
Hope this helps!

Can someone help me setup a litecoin miner that works in windows and that can connect to a pool? having trouble finding a easy guide to follow Smiley
You can try my application, it comes with a miner and GUI, so you only need to extract the files and run the ScryptMiner.exe to get started :
http://liteco.in/threads/scryptminer-litecoin-mining-gui.31/
Okay I have downloaded it and extracted it, but when I run it the program says
"[13:26:50] - Miner started. It usually takes a minute until the program starts reporting information.
[13:26:50] - Miner killed"
have I managed to do something wrong?
Did you join a pool and input the necessary settings such as your worker username and password?

yes I used the setup from litecoinpool.org
URL:   http://litecoinpool.org:9332/
Username:   your_username.1
Password:   1

But ofc changed my user name instead of the your_username

The URL and port need to be added into their separate fields

URL: litecoinpool.org
Port : 9332
I have done that and still get the same error Sad
