This is insanity they are trying to tell him he might not be able to get his money?

WOW.

Why the fuck is PayPal doing this out of no where when eBay is allowing digital currency?

Wow did you have a third eye that can read hidden words?

because where the fck did you read " they are trying to tell him he might not be able to get his money" ?

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were his friend as well.  Roll Eyes

that guy is ignorant. Just place him on ignore.

Totally, i'm so ignorant... next time when you're running another mining scam, please count me in. I want to be a millionaire too.

Reality for you all kids thats screaming "LETS SUE"

1) Read every single words to the TEE of the service agreement.
2) All financial service providers have their right to terminate the relationship with you for WHATEVER reason they see fit. This apply to banks as well.

Go ahead and talk to a lawyer, i'm sure some lawyers would love to take money from suckers like you.

Not completely true:

1) not contesting this.

2) They have a right to terminate the relationship but they likely can't hold your money for such a long term and here's why...

Any contract which violates state or federal law will either be completely nullified or have the unlawful portion excluded. PayPal operates as a money transmitter service and is bound by state money transmitter laws. Each state establishes the maximum hold time but only two states would allow PayPal to hold funds for 180 days. (North Carolina or New Mexico)

PayPal is holding money in violation of State law and is liable for losses you may incur as a result of the hold as well as interest up to the amount which your state allows.

Basically you can't just make an illegal contract and use it as protection from liability when you break the law...

Find out what your state money transmittor laws permit and take the appropriate actions.

My comment has nothing to do with holding the fund. Its simply just about service termination. Banks also do that ALL the time (actually more than paypal i would say). Once they deem you as high risk, boom they close your account without giving you any reason.

Seems like the kids on here only yell "sue sue sue" just because paypal decided not dealing with anything related to bitcoin, go ahead and sue them.
1863  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain Shared Coin - Coins Lost in Limbo... PLEASE HELP on: February 05, 2014, 07:03:35 AM
Advice for you or any noobs out there,

If you're dealing with an online vendor that has your info, there will be no anonymity with bitcoin transaction. The best you want is privacy and its important.

So do your mixing B4 spending it. (send coins thro a mixer to another wallet you own, An ONE TIME USED WALLET), spend it then discard it.

Remember..... PRIVACY is IMPORTANT

Its a fresh feeling to see why bitcoin succeed in its true form of decentralized currency. No private entity's discretion

1866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scammer Matthew N Wright wants to sue Theymos lulz!!! on: February 05, 2014, 06:28:28 AM
Just like the fake betting was. Anyone who thought it was real was an idiot. End of story.

Why is stupid to think people mean what they say they mean?

Well, you are putting Matthew N Wright the scammer in the category of people. This guy was a known scammer so people to really trust him after so many scams was kinda silly.

It would be like Pirate coming back with an operation that paid out 5% weekly.

I agree a thief who stole from another thief (you) is still a thief. But the morale of story is : you dont go around and yell you've been robbed while being a thief yourself.

This thread is full of irony.

1870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to bully PayPal and start MASSIVE lawsuits? on: February 05, 2014, 04:28:27 AM
Looks like paypal is going to go for the slow painful crushing death under the weight of cryptos instead of getting with the program creating new modelling and embracing it!

They will die either way

Atlease now they're putting a fight.
1871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to bully PayPal and start MASSIVE lawsuits? on: February 05, 2014, 04:25:09 AM
They just closed my friends account with more than $150,000.

Holy shit what the fuck PayPal?!

Only around 10% of his transactions were even Bitcoin related.

This bullshit has gone far enough.

Can we please have massive lawsuits against PayPal and perhaps put them out of business once and for all? They cannot continue to operate in this manner.

This is absolutely DISGUSTING.

why would anyone ever use paypal? its almost as bad as gox

great comparison there Mr. Millionaire   Roll Eyes

i really do not understand why someone would ahve $150,000 in an account they know has a high chance of getting locked down for no other reason than there being $150,000 in the account. most people with that much cash are not stupid.

Where did you read "locked down"?

They can shutdown or terminate your account but they cant seize your fund unless its an order by authorities.

Ppl use paypal for business with millions in transactions. Stop sitting here and act like you have run a business or worked in real world. Go back to Thailand and get your teaching job back please.
1872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scammer Matthew N Wright wants to sue Theymos lulz!!! on: February 05, 2014, 04:17:42 AM
This is rich. The scammer goat calling someone else a scammer. lol

At least MNW saw the error of his ways and apologized after that horrible bet he made.
I am not saying that makes it right but I think he did less harm to the community than goat
has done with his promotion of the ponzi scam he was a part of ( even though it wasn't
his scam ) even after it was clear to him that it was a ponzi.

I would stay well away from doing business with either person here.

That is all I will say, even though I am sure goat will have a lot more BS to spread...

+1000

For all the noobs, do you know why Goat (a loser living in a shitty place in Thailand) is now turned into a rich dumbass?

Hes also a scammer himself.

Scammer calling another scammer who wants to sue another scammer.

LOL jokes
1873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook turns 10 today - where will Bitcoin be when it turns 10? on: February 05, 2014, 04:12:55 AM
Facebook has come a long way since Zuck first fired up his web server in his Havard dorm room.

Now that we are 5 years into Bitcoin can we truly say that we have come as far as Facebook did in the same amount of time?

What does that mean for the next five years - where will Bitcoin be when it turns 10?

You might as well compare mySpace to bitcoin while at it.

What a meaningless thread.
1874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lamassu atm on: February 05, 2014, 04:11:46 AM
Please stop using the word "ATM" for something that is not.

Its a vending machine. And yes its a great start for ppl to BUY bitcoins online.

Now for ppl to sell bitcoins to fiat requires another whole level of licensing.

1877  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2014-02-04 Major Bitcoin Exchange Not Executing Withdrawals Now Owes Clients 38m on: February 05, 2014, 01:21:08 AM
It's impressive how fast the once dominating exchange loses market share.

On the contrary I'm surprised they still have as much market share as they do.  They still have like 25% market share; how they heck did they manage to maintain that much when they haven't had working withdrawals for more than 6 months.

Simple you can't withdraw Bitcoins either now.  You can withdraw dollars, you can't withdraw Bitcoins.  I guess there solution is to force everyone to trade until the entire balance is converted to trading fees.  Problem solved.

How does BitSimple work? its not an exchange but its not localbitoins? so how do we trade on it?

Does it work with any banks in NA?

1879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Schiff goes at it again... on: February 04, 2014, 07:50:15 PM
If this well documented looser on the financial markets thinks BTC is worthless then you know we are on to a good thing.

On the IRS he says they will think 'If you (retailer) are accepting Bitcoin, maybe that is a terrorist'. Is this guy from another planet?

No he isn't a well documented loser but he does have the blinders on regarding bitcoin. And the gov will regulate bitcoin more than fiat because of the non-existent "terrorist threat", that's how they roll.

What? if hes not a loser, then i dont know anyone that is.

Only sheeptards would listen to him. Have you ever followed his "gambles" ?

Mt. Gox issued a statement:

Dear MtGox Customers,

As noted recently, we are currently experiencing a problem where some bitcoin withdrawals are not being transferred correctly, affecting a limited number of users. Currently the problem is being fixed, but many previous transactions did not go through over the past days. Those transactions have now been returned to customer accounts in full, so any transactions that appeared to be "stuck" should now be refunded.

This problem applies primarily to larger transactions, so we appreciate your patience as we fix the issue. Smaller transactions should be fine in the meantime, and we will update you on the status as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience.

Best Regards,

MtGox Team

What a BS statement. What transactions are considered large? 5btc?

Because i just tried to withdraw 5btc and nothing. Same problem of not showing on blockchain. Fck you Gox.
