1861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't buy altcoins because they are top altcoins on: January 12, 2023, 04:54:45 PM
Altcoins are good investment with increased risk, because of many incidents happening negative with the altcoins. We don't know whether the growth will last for longer time period or not. Most of the altcoins market crash happens out of the lack of development or out of the improper fund handling. With altcoins it is good to keep it for short term profiting as well as into trading.
Altcoins are short term performers, they are not long term games. The development that happens in altcoins is often non-existent vaporware and we should be careful not to divulge into shitcoins that only give promises and keep going down. Because newbies often get swayed by the promises made by such companies (or just scammer groups) they exist and run rampant often promoting themselves through the words of these fooled newbies.

This is why long term gains are only seen with the top altcoins and of course bitcoin. Because there so development has happened to put them up in a decent place against bitcoin.
1862  Economy / Speculation / Re: what If Bitcoin Price never comes up on: January 11, 2023, 03:20:45 PM
please explain me why bitcoin will make another all time high
Demand over supply. If people buy bitcoin its demand rises and considering the limited supply the selling price of one bitcoin will rise to keep up with the profits that its traders would wish to get and hence raise the price at which they are bought at.

Quote
or explain some circumstances in that bitcoin's price  will go more low and never or after long times later comes up
Bearish trends happen when bad news hit the market, like an exchange getting hacked or someone big dumping their coins or some bad statement about crypto by some big name. Such things drain the price and start a bear trend which gets corrected depending on the gravity of the news. Later on as the correction kicks in from those who were waiting for discounted price to buy at, the price starts rising again.

To answer the question in your title, I would suggest you to read the older charts and see how long bear/bull cycles last in the market.
1863  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and investing, and still very broke.why? Is it spiritual? on: January 11, 2023, 03:12:25 PM
Spiritual forces has nothing to do with trading.
Any other mumbo jumbo for that instance. But there are a lot of reasons why people keep trying to connect these things in the era of science.

Quote
If one is not making profits in trading it means the person still need to learn more about trading. Op just need to forget about that spiritual force mentality and understand the reality of trading and still have to putting in more effort to get more knowledge about trading.  The only thing that can be as a result of loss is trading is lacking the important keys of trading that is always required to make profit.
We often make mistakes and overlook them while blaming others for the losses. If someone bought shitcoins instead of bitcoin then they are at fault. If someone bought at an all time high and now asking for profits in a bear market, they are at fault. These may seem simple but these are so common among newbie traders.

All that spiritual bullshit needs to be kept aside and simple method to buy low and sell high should be instituted. Make money from the selling difference, it is a simple math but does not get into your wee brains while still pondering over weed-induced spiritual highs that ruin your lives.
1864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your wishes for BTC in coming years? on: January 11, 2023, 03:06:25 PM
This is the wish of many bitcoin investors, but this will never happen, the government will never cooperate with bitcoin unless they control it. Cooperation means dividing the market among each other, I don't think government or banks will easily share their customers for bitcoin because they don't benefit if people just use bitcoin.
A specific government's support for crypto will put that government in the outlaw crosshairs by the bigger institutions that govern the economic system like IMF which is already happening and whether IMF's warnings are going to turn out true only time can tell. But in the meantime, we can accumulate bitcoin for the future, of course if someone is investing their hard earned cash into bitcoin, they would want the returns to be as big as they predicted.

The only way to force the governments to accept transacting in crypto is if people start using it rampantly and gradually smaller cities to bigger cities will face the situation that is inevitable. It might take years but it is already happening in many places and we should encourage it.
1865  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone out there doing money by trading? How? on: January 10, 2023, 03:22:04 PM
The more I learn I am kind of coming to conclusion that trading in the long run is not profitable.
How are you drawing such a conclusion?

Quote
I mean I don't know any single person who is doing decent amount of money for living by trading in crypto.
This depends upon your perspective, if you are thinking that you can leave your job and get into earning millions by trading then you are wrong. Again it is also true that you can make a certain amount in trading that might vary every month and be happy with that while running a job.

In other words - Trading can be a side hustle for many of the users who know the basics of stock market trading and speculative markets. It may not be enough to support your living.

Quote
Hence the question: do you know anyone who is successful trading in crypto? or are you doing well by trading crypto?
There are professional traders, but dont hope to become one yourself. I follow the simple method of buying low and selling high - this takes time to cycle over the bull/bear cycle but churns out decent profits if you have patience.

Note: I am talking mostly in terms of long term Spot trading.
1866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have 1 bitcoin? on: January 10, 2023, 03:17:40 PM
My biggest dream is to have at least one Bitcoin in my wallet, so far I've been trying to collect little by little to add to the pieces of Bitcoin I already have.
You will achieve your dream one day, but dont let that dream hold you back, aspire to earn more than just one bitcoin.

Quote
Limited money is my obstacle, I allocate the money I get per month in several places. Apart from paying for my daily needs, I also have a big responsibility to pay for the needs of my parents who are unable to work anymore due to age. The remaining monthly money I allocate for Bitcoin investment.
You are responsible person, who did not leave their unspoked responsibility of old age parents on someone else but worked hard to give them a good living. All this will come back to you as karma and you will become successful one day and make your parents proud. But I am sure they are already proud.

Quote
I believe Bitcoin will grow even more in the future, after successfully reaching ATH some time ago, Bitcoin will soon fly beyond the numbers that have been achieved before. Some people really believe Bitcoin can rise again (regardless of when it happens), they will continue to collect Bitcoins even though the nominal does not reach 1 Bitcoin.
Our goal should be to collect as much bitcoin as we can while the bear market is ongoing so that we can sell at an all time high. Do not get tempted to spend that money on shitcoins and altcoins because they are only money traps and a waste of time. Seeing the highs like 60k USD, anyone will buy bitcoin at less than 17k USD.

Hence keep earning from your campaigns and allocating income to buying some bitcoin every month. Do not let the number stop you.
1867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is The level of impact of FTX crash on Your portfolio? on: January 10, 2023, 03:11:30 PM
Since my portfolio is mostly bitcoin and some ethereum, I dont see much impact. Besides the only impact that we need to consider is how badly the market falls so we get a discount to buy at low prices. Shitcoins will be volatile to any sort of news and the news of FTX have shaken them a lot so much so that I predict many of them will never be able to recover their break even prices for many traders, sadly.

This is why we must vow to never buy into random shitcoins available across the market. The coin that we need to accumulate is bitcoin and maybe some of the top five altcoins. But keeping the crypto portfolio limited to these makes our chances of loss much less.
1868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The mistake I made some years ago on: January 09, 2023, 03:38:40 PM
I think this condition or buying bitcoin at the same price as you bought few years ago will never even happen again for now because it is very impossible to happen.
Buying into a ponzi is happening everyday and the victims are mostly newbies who are in for some quick cash. The ones spreading such scams are the affiliate marketers and they only want their 10% commission and have sold their morality for it.

Quote
Maybe not as cheap as a few years ago, but right now I think it's still worth it to buy bitcoin, especially with the ongoing bearish conditions, there's nothing wrong with DCA from now on.
Definitely worth it, prices are having a upward trend today and so my views are bullish for now but let us await a few more days before confirming that. Even if not doing DCA we can buy low and then sell high keeping our patience over the holding period.

Of course bitcoin might no longer be in dirt cheap prices unless something huge goes wrong, but we can accumulate at lower prices and continue selling when it hits all time highs.

Just dont end up giving your money to someone who promises extraordinary claims.
1869  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Many signals don't work now like they use to be on: January 09, 2023, 03:33:32 PM
I found a graph online that I would like to present for discussion. Based on the graph, spot trading decreased by half in December compared to November.
1. Is it true that the so-called accumulation shouted on social media is not on exchanges or are they simply lies?
2. Does this drop in trading into the new year have any implication?

May own views on this,
1 - People do run out of cash after some trades so they need to slow down too, maybe that is why spot volume plummeted. Accumulation done by smaller cap traders might not have a significant impact on the market but it is going on slow but steady based on the long bear season.

2 - New year is just a new month starting, nothing more than some numbers cycling for the market. Possible that some people have slowed down on their trading mileage but I dont find it significant to imply anything.

You need to be prepared for this, do not be surprised. Signals are just how someone sees the market, nothing more. Do not think that this will bring you profit in any case.
Signals are a bunch of fake made up lines to fool gullible newbies. They are not legitimate and like sports picks they are often used to scam people into buying memberships and then manipulate them into using their money to pump and dump shitcoins.
1870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Create wealth first before the use of bitcoin on: January 09, 2023, 03:28:12 PM
Everyone can invest.
Anyone can, but nobody know what or how to invest their money. The ones who do are no longer whining in forums but making money albeit not everyday but regularly.

Quote
They invest in Bitcoin to find ways to make a profit and increase their future wealth. They should be educated about Bitcoin first, and the more they know about Bitcoin, the more they can know that Bitcoin can be a great way to get rich.
Bitcoin is not a way to get rich - get this out of your head. It is a currency that has a speculative market. Getting rich from bitcoin is by trading on that and that is not a cup of tea. Not everyone here coming into bitcoin has been an early adopter in the two digit prices, some of you have bought bitcoin at five digits and hence you need to be careful.

Creating wealth is a bullshit term according to me, the right term is collecting it. Bitcoin will help you because it has advantages over fiat but it will not make anybody rich overnight, for that depends on a lot of factors.
1871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't buy altcoins because they are top altcoins on: January 07, 2023, 03:34:16 PM
Not all altcoins will grow of course, but I have no doubt that we will see bitcoin and other major coins like LTC, BNB, ETH rebound this year. I think it will happen not at the beginning of the year, but surely in spring or maybe autumn. Now is still a good buying opportunity.
The OP has shown clearly an evidence of how badly performing the minor altcoins have been. The top few coins have performed well no doubt but the common people dont want to go for that, because some internet random username told them about a certain shitcoin that will become the next bitcoin and they filled their bags with that coin spending a load of fiat cash from hand.

Buying the top altcoins can mean a good portfolio but buying these shitcoins only weakens it. Being safe you could stick with only bitcoin but expand more and you will expand your own risk.

I still consider playing it with bitcoin only is the safest, any "spare money" you have should be put into other sectors like stocks, real estate, commodities but never in altcoins.
1872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your wishes for BTC in coming years? on: January 07, 2023, 03:24:06 PM
I only wish BTC to be used more often by its existing users and new users.

Holding for selling in future is a good context but spending bitcoin is way less common due to a lack of technical infrastructure to support bitcoin payments and also the human inertia to remain with the status quo, namely fiat. Giftcards are commonly available, although not a direct option but it is a good workaround to get started on living on crypto as per the punchline of Bitrefill.

This will gradually pressurize the governments to accept and allow bitcoin transactions, alleviate the harsher rules on crypto taxation and allow a better background for crypto users to keep their coins running.
1873  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as a newbie? on: January 06, 2023, 04:38:49 PM
I have zero experience and have just been looking on Coinbase at the best and worst performers of the day.
The best performer today might just be a pumped coin which is go back down tomorrow never to go back up again. How exactly do you plan to know this from beforehand?

Quote
I am thinking of buying coins that are 15% or more down and then selling once they pump 10% and move onto the next one that is 15% down and then again sell at 10% profit and just keep repeating.
You can get the result on your own without spending a satoshi. Try dummy trading with a virtual capital and attempt to do this honestly on paper. See how much you are making right or wrong and see what profits you are making over a time period. That way you can understand better than any one posting here about possible income.

If I say here that buying shitcoins is a waste, you would not believe me, but do this and see for yourself and you will get the fact in your head.

They have started the bounty thread again by a new account Gusfall

Link to new thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5433271

This account seems to have been active in 2017 in Indonesian section, maybe our Indonesian friends can give us some insight? After that bounty hunting in 2017 and then one post in 2018 and suddenly posts a bounty thread today.

I can bet that the account was bought just for this, while the older bounty manager continues to remain silent, while just accepting their mistake would reduce their punishment to a much easier form.

Note : Slient Sam merited Gusfall on this "very knowledgeable" post.

1875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We have been told: Invest only Extra money in bitcoin on: January 06, 2023, 04:18:49 PM
The honest truth is that no one has extra cash. Every single money in your hand or account has it purpose unless you choose to ignore some and use the money for something else. So when you hear money you can afford to lose, it simply means money that can not affect your life even you absolutely lose it and it won't affect your psychological health. Both the less privileges and riches have money they can afford to lose.
Money that you can waste would be a better term to apply, would it not?

Truly it is like that and we all have no amount of cash to spare. This can be changed by reducing expenses that could be reduced and starting an allocation for investment. This cannot happen right on day one but a few months might help you understand the division. It is all about making room for every investment in your folio so you can be the best of all.

If you still cannot allocate, then trading probably is not for you, in case you forcibly try to do it you might find yourself lacking in liquid cash at hand.
1876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The mistake I made some years ago on: January 05, 2023, 07:31:06 AM
The mistakes led to you being who you are. Now you know that buying bitcoin at low prices man better profits guaranteed in future. We can be rest assured, that we will not see the same condition as altcoin in bitcoin. Hence the importance of mistakes, they teach you a lesson.

You can be sure that many others have committed similar mistakes or lost money where they could have made money but dont let that dishearten you, rather this should be an impetus to be more consistent with trading.

Forgive yourself because you were ignorant at that time.
1877  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Bear Market Mistakes to Avoid on: January 05, 2023, 07:07:56 AM
Talking about panic and fear I feel is the same thing once they see the market has not been in their favor the next step to take is to sell, the issue is not only bitcoin experienced bear but all most every market both tesla, etc. putting emotion while holding to might just keep give you heartbreak and most people are always ready to sell once is not in their favor, and the best thing avoid futures and altcoins
Why sell now at a loss when you can sell in near future at profit? Big companies might be seeing losses but that means they will go back up again. It is just a game of patience. Dont end up making the market your life, you will not be able to handle it. Risk management and bankroll management helps to prevent this. If you commit too much of your monthly income into market you will face these problems more often.

Altcoins will always be acting like this, which is why switch to bitcoins as soon as possible from your end. Controlling emotions also need practice, which comes after months of trading, better if dummy trading is done. Futures is a gambling method, it is not spot trading. If you are doing futures, you are essentially gambling so decide whether you want to play your luck or stick to spot with your skills.
1878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Dev is not your friend, so be careful. on: January 05, 2023, 06:57:37 AM
The objective of the project owners is to generate the cash needed with a quick runaway. So if you think the dev will tell you everything about the project then you are mistaken. Th e dev will only tell you what is necessary for you to know and keep you in the dark about the weakness of project or if they have anything to develop at all and not peddling an absolute class work.

Your only friend here is your intuition and if it tingles just like Spider-sense, you should backoff from the project. Problem is after seeing so many scams our senses are over-sensitive but that is not bad, it weeds away 99% of scams and that 1% possibly good project would never make it anyway.

So devs are chapping about their projects, consider the failure imminent. Cheesy
1879  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Many signals don't work now like they use to be on: January 04, 2023, 03:19:33 PM
I understood If there is no pmp but dont have Even the dmps what's going on ?
You will not see huge pumps or dumps everyday. Prices are stagnant for a few days means you have to keep patience. Half of the time in the market you have to hold either fiat or btc and wait for the opportunity to strike when the price either dips down or rises up.

Quote
Traders going mad now depresion is here.
Its not effecting everyone you see. There are traders who cope with both sides of the market. But if you are looking for easy money using signals then you are taking the wrong step. You have to learn trading on your own and not depend on some fake pointers spammed by a random internet username.

The question is Will we stay in crypto If it's not working ?
If you sell your coins, we will be ready to buy. So no issues there, you will be the only loser here. Of course it is working just that you need to work with the market.
1880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Fools Gold on: January 04, 2023, 02:48:11 PM
Any project can shut down all of a sudden and high APY is the temptation that they have to put on the table so that investors try to grab their share of it. You cant propagate a scam if you are showing them that they will very minuscule returns. So this has happened from a long time before crypto and it still works to fool people easily and properly into giving away their assets in the hands of the scammer.

Today the money lost with some staking schemes - do you think it will ever come back to the hands of those who actually owned that money and had worked hard to earn it in the first place? No, the legal procedures will take years and by then the vicitim would probably be on their death bed.

So be patient and dont be foolish enough into jumping for every new staking/hyip/mlm or any other high-risk scheme.
