Most of the time things looks very easy on papers and have nothing good in reality currently peoples are feeling good for England which is nothing new because we have all teams coming from very tough selection and able to win this mega event without any problem but mostly in grounds many times we have completely different results which never been on papers.
Currently, it's guaranteed they will reach into last eight but after this what happened to them, it's not easy to predict on his day any team can create upset and win match because we are now in last eight which is surely best from all around the world. I agree with you. Unnecessary reasons IPL management has extended the time of IPL. At least two matches could be held every day. I don't know why IPL management did it. The IPL will be held for about two months seasons this season. It will become very boring. There was a need to focus on this aspect of management. It will be more exciting and fun to watch a 20 days or a month long IPL then 2 months long IPL. Even world cup won't take that much duration. For 2 months all international cricket is stopped for IPL, icc must have a look on that aspect also. I agree with you’ll and I wasn’t happy when the schedule was announced, but I wonder if it’s been kept this way so player’s don’t get exhausted or was it covid fears that played a factor in this decision. Chelsea thrashed Crystal palace 2 goals to Neil. The blues dominated the game at the Wembley Stadium, and they have a total shots of 11 which 5 were on target and 6 off target. While their opponents had a total shots of 4, which 2 where off target and 2 on target. Blues had 66% ball possession in the game, unlike eagles that manage to have 34%. The Patrick Vieira's eagles didn't have or couldn't create a lot of shooting chances and goal scoring chances. They were struggling to defend their halve, which they actually did in the first half, then comes the second half, where the pressure became much on them, they had no choice than to concede goals in the second half. Crystal palace are out of the FA cup and Blues made a comfortable win their semi final unlike Liverpool that struggle to win their pre-eminent rival, Manchester city. The final would be tough base on the quality of players the both sides has.

So many fantastic goals in the Manchester United 3-2 Norwich fixtures yesterday. The first goal was surprising to me on the part of Norwich to have left Ronaldo, such a formidable player like that all alone in the 18 yard box. It felt Almost like a penalty and he surely did just to it and put it quite clean in the post. His second goal that came off a header is something that haven't been seen in quite a while and to top it all, came the free kick, all converted into his hat-trick.
What I liked most of all was Norwich to have thought and tried to attempt a come back unto the game but,
It was a Ronaldo moment yesterday and he was quite determined to win this game for Manchester United and he did.
@Smartvirus I think I have said it too that we’re better without Ronaldo, but yesterday he majestically proved why we need him at least for this season, and most importantly till we can get a decent replacement who can score such important goals. Furthermore I thought that Norwich would win this game, but luckily Manchester United held on, and Ronaldo scored his hattrick to get 3 valuable points for the club and now all I’m hoping is that he can continue scoring those winning goals in all the remaining fixtures. |

One thing to also keep a eye on is the two biggest sports in terms of followers, Football and Cricket BOTH have World Cups in December this year.. So that is also on our agenda with huge planning needed for that..

Football have world cup on December? I just checked and the world cup is in late November and early December. Wow I did not know that, I assumed it would have been during the summer like all the other world cups that I have seen before, never realized that this one would be in a different period. I get that maybe it is about the heat or something, because it is in Qatar and the heating would be terribly difficult if you did it on July like always. This means that every league would have to arrange their league accordingly, which will be a bit of a big challenge if you ask me, not going to be impossible of course but this is a very new thing to me. Glad I read your post, god knows when would I realize it if I didn't check it now. I was slightly out with the Cricket World Cup in Australia, its October/November, then into the FIFA World Cup 2022 November/December. And yes, correct, All the main leagues will have to reschedule a month's worth of matches around somewhere! and in what is already a busy schedule.. that's going to be some serious amount of games being played! Steve. @Steve any hints on what you’re planning for both the World Cup, as these two are the biggest tournaments this year and hence I’m curious to know what you have planned for them. At the moment, I'm sure that Barcelona's focus is on wanting to finish second in the league. This shocking elimination in the Europa League will also affect their morale in the league. I still see Barcelona as the biggest candidate for second place while it is doing so well. In their race with Sevilla, Barcelona are one step ahead. However, as I said, it is close to impossible for them to beat Real Madrid and become champions.
Actually yes because only La Liga as competition right now for Barcelona after eliminating from UEFA Europe League and Copa del Rey, looks focus finish as 2nd standing position is realistic for Barcelona but still have chance if Real Madrid inconsistent on several match left. Inter and Milan both didn't have any problem at all about destroying their opponents today. And Milan are still the leader in the league table. But the current gap is still too small with Inter so they will need to keep winning and hope for Inter to lose points somehow. They need to have at least a three-point gap to secure their lead against Inter. And it is possible to see too. But Milan's fixture for two weeks is really tough.
It's very difficult to make AC Milan 3 points clear of Inter Milan, not because they can't afford it but because they have missed the opportunity. They were not optimal in carrying out their matches the past few weeks which led them to finally get to the situation they are in now. Now they are more difficult, even their potential to be displaced is huge, this is how Inter Milan can take advantage of that opportunity. I agree with you’ll it’s a very sensitive situation, because Inter has a game in hand and if they win it then they’ll move into the top position. Yes, they've been fantastic, and the addition of a few players in January has helped a lot. The team's outstanding performance just a few weeks ago, they looked like a team far from the champions league position, and then boom! A few weeks later, they are in 4th place and look more dangerous than the teams in front of them. @JollyGood City may have to relinquish that top spot, because of the injury crisis that they’re currently facing and Pep can only hope that his player’s return to playing soon otherwise it’ll be really difficult for him. Also Tottenham are on a good run, but I sincerely doubt that they’ll be able to play in top form till the end of the season, and hence I’m expecting them to collapse soon. |

Small new for 2026. As you may know, engines are locked until 2026 but they already talked about it. The will improve in 4 years giving more power to the Hybrid part. Redbull now wants to ask FIA to be able to spend more money than the others team because they consider themself a new manufacturer of engines.  They are capable of doing that, but I doubt that the engines that they'll make will not have any DNA of Honda engines which they used for a long time. I'm excited with this new season for Ferrari, Merc, and Red Bull. Ferrari and Red Bull so far has been contending for the best car, with Mercedes having some issues lately. Perhaps Red Bull spending more and focusing on creating their new engines will pay off, but Ferrari is still doing their own magic too with their cars. Technically speaking they removed themselves form Honda, bought the Honda factory that built the F1 engines, and they are building their own engines right now. Is it "red bull engine"? Technically no, it is still Honda engine that is owned by red bull, instead of leased by them yearly. So, could they spend more on their engine? They could, the rules say that if you are a new engine manufacturer then you should be spending more to catch up, but at the same time this engine was worked on for a decade already, no idea if spending more is needed, the case is for new engine manufacturers and not for improving an already existing engine by someone else. If this is the case, Mercedes could give their engine to McLaren next year or Williams and tell them to spend a lot, and improve, and then get it back year after that and spend more and keep repeating that. I don’t think they’ll be given the permission, because they brought the Honda factory and this will look like they’re trying to find a loophole within the rules. Also this season Ferrari should be winning most of the races, unless Mercedes can quickly fix their mess, other wise only Red Bill will be left to challenge Ferrari for the title. |

The main reason for MI's lose is not choosing the correct players.
Also there are no backup option to make runs, if MI looses 5 wickets.
Accoring to me, they should have played Markande instead of Unadkat, as there were 3-4 fast bowlers (Including pollard), and 1 spinner.
So addition of Markande might help Mumbai, to slow down the pace of opponent team's batting.

Mumbai's management made a mistake in picking players. They do not have a good finisher batsman. Pollard is an experienced player. But he is not performing well now. We have seen his poor performance in the last few seasons. Mumbai's biggest weakness is that their bowling lineup is very weak. Apart from Bumrah, there is no other experienced bowler in the team. Mumbai Indians have lost every match due to poor bowling. I agree with you. There is no other experienced bowler on the Mumbai team except Bumrah. Mumbai's poor bowling has been well visible in every match. Out of the five matches, Mumbai has bowled first in two matches and in these two matches, the opponent has given a target of more than 190 runs. In the other three matches, the opponents have been able to win quite easily by batting against Mumbai's target. Mumbai set a target of 162 against Kolkata. And Kolkata won the match in just 16 overs. It is easy to guess from this that Mumbai's bowling lineup is very weak. I’ll add one more reason and that’s overconfidence from the management in the selection of the squad during the auctions, because as you’ll rightly said there was absolutely no reason to hold onto Pollard. Furthermore even after having the home advantage they have suffered defeats which is really bizarre, and now I feel that they should change the lineup and experiment player’s with an eye on the next season, because it’s evidently clear that the playing 11 isn't good enough and some of them need to be dropped. |
