1861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make a good amount with 0.01BTC? on: March 25, 2017, 03:38:55 PM
I can only give you idea of what i know it that is sports betting or trading, as in sports betting you can do arbitrage betting that you can have both team profit as per your view calculation. and if you have patience then you can do trading also but in both their is always risk of loss also so their is no 100% confirm profit in any option.

I agree, it is up to the OP which path he choose. All ways of investment have their own risk. It is up to you if you can take it. In gambling i think it can take in less than a month to have a good amount with a 0.01 investment, but the risk of it is very big. In trading, less risk though but a 0.01 investment will take some months to earn a decent profit from it.
The greater the risk the greater the rewards but we must always remember that it is very difficult to win at gambling and that is why we must only bet what we can afford to lose so we don’t regret betting at the casino.
1862  Economy / Gambling / Re: Lunarbets.eu - Bitcoin Sports Betting | New and Improved Website! on: March 25, 2017, 03:36:28 PM
Hi, when I access the site it says " Our service is currently unavailable in your country. Sorry about that."
May I know what are the countries that are restricted to access the site, I really don't know about the full regulation in our country about online gambling and I thought bitcoin gambling sites are not covered if there is any. Please enlighten me. Sad

Hi Finestream,

Only one country is restricted. It's because of the policy in your country.

Finestream we're in the same country. I'm using VPn to access their site. We'll you can try it if you really like to play.
Thanks for letting me know it's working but I have a little doubt that what if I win and I cannot withdraw my winnings because I have violated the rules of the site. I mean, I love to gamble and using VPN is easy as I can have it for free but I want to hear the side of the owner on how they would treat it.

Is the site requiring KYC/AML rules? If yes, they need ID verification, using vpn is not ok. Otherwise using vpn is ok.
Some sites don’t allow the use of VPN even if they don't implement KYC policies since that could lead to players abusing bonuses or going over the limit you can bet on a single sport, but I did not saw anything against it in the terms and conditions of the website.
1863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin business idea on: March 24, 2017, 10:48:00 PM
I am curious of your opinion about if you have to start a bitcoin business from scratch today. What is the type of business will your start, even if any of this type of business don't exists at the moment?

I know the typical business type on the market are :

  • Exchange
  • Blog
  • Lending
  • Trading
  • Selling stuff in bitcoin
  • Freelance job in bitcoin
The idea that needs almost no investment is to begin a small freelancing job in bitcoin, you obviously need some kind of skill or knowledge but I think it is the safer option if you can pull it off.
1864  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you invest in a MLM scam in early stage? on: March 24, 2017, 10:45:56 PM
Here is a interesting, hypothetical situation. What will you do if there is a MLM scam going on and it is in early stage. It is assuring 10% monthly return in bitcoins (of course it has that referral bonus part as well but it is optional, you don't need referral as you are getting 10% on your investment.).  B'cause of it's early stage, people are investing happily and getting returns monthly. In short equation of incoming source money > outgoing money. By looking at situation, let's say this scam/scheme will go on two more year.   There are some people who rip benefits from these kind of scams/schemes as they invest very early and in large chunk.

Will you invest in such scheme well before it vanishes with bitcoins/money?
No, even if I knew beforehand that I will profit from it I think it is immoral to profit form the disgrace of others, so I will avoid dealing in any kind of dirty business like that since I like the idea of sleeping without any worries in my mind.
1865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin’s High Transaction Fees Open the Door for Altcoin Adoption? on: March 24, 2017, 10:41:25 PM
As long as there are things bitcoin cannot do then there will be a market for an alt to take advantage of it, one of the markets currently not covered by bitcoin is something close to complete anonymity and that is why you have coins like dash and monero, so if the fees keep getting higher then there is going to be a market for that as well.
1866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Win using martingale system? on: March 24, 2017, 10:36:09 PM
i know most of us knew about martingale and we do use that in order to gain profits but we also aware that this same system is not safe in a long term period as we will be caught out of the blue and our winning streak will start to change up, do you have any settings of strategy to make it much worthy to use?

So for me, I believe in order to make a martingle system work you need to have a huge starting bankroll. It will not work if you have a small bankroll because once it hit a loss it will eventually loose all your winnings and your starting money.

Share it here if you have something there Cheesy

No way to win at martingale no matter the size of your bankroll or the size of your bets because it does not change the reason of why you are going to lose in gambling in the long run, and that is because the casinos give themselves an edge over the player.
1867  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price? on: March 23, 2017, 10:17:05 PM
Every time you buy and sell you are manipulating the price of whatever you are trading, in this case bitcoin, the issue is that we don’t have many coins so your influence over the markets is extremely limited but whales can manipulate the price with their huge stash of bitcoin.
1868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want hardfork? on: March 23, 2017, 10:15:15 PM
Easy question for everyone.
Do you want hard fork?

Personally I dont want any hard forks. Bitcoin is Bitcoin and it should be like this. I don`t want any changes. Growing fee is ok for me because it is still so cheap if you think about how big amounts of money you can send. For sure I don`t want any BU. It is stupid. People don`t know what to do now. We should finish this negotiate and leave it as it is.

The only possible change can be to connect with SegWit and everyone will be happy Wink
No, a hard fork will be a terrible news for bitcoin and all the other coins, the price will come down and confidence in the technology will erode as the media will do an effort to spread the news and say that bitcoin is death or something.
1869  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think Bitcoin will reach $1500? on: March 23, 2017, 10:12:33 PM
I say by the end of December for sure, but feeling the summer is a possibility as well.  Your thoughts ?
If you asked me this a few weeks a go I will probably say that for the end of the summer we could reach that price, but after the reduction in price and the ongoing rumors of a fork, I think the investors and traders are going to take their time and see how the segwit and BU issues resolves itself.
1870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: March 23, 2017, 10:10:40 PM
When we think about investments we imagine investors with big sums of money, so for btc casino it would be 1 or more btc, for instance. However, the minimum amount you can invest is usually 0.01btc which is only 10$. Do you think such investments are profitable but you earn small sums or maybe they don't make sense at all? Can someone explain it to me?
An investment like that will not bring a lot of profits and with the fees increasing then it is possible any profits are going to disappears with the fees but at the same time even if the amount of money you invest is small it makes sense to take any opportunity to grow your money.
1871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you can control your self when playing gambling? on: March 23, 2017, 10:08:41 PM
Whenever I decide to gamble I already have  a limit in my mind about how much I am willing to lose that day or if I get lucky the amount of money I’m willing to take home, So I make an effort to control myself and the way I gamble in a casino.
1872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When investing in a ICO on: March 22, 2017, 10:03:52 PM
What are the things one should look for?
I think it is better to wait and see how the coin behaves once it is in the market instead of investing without knowing what will happen, if the coin skyrockets your earnings will be less but your losses will be less too.
1873  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin worth? Welcome to discuss on: March 22, 2017, 10:01:31 PM
Someone has said bitcoin is of no value, in my heart I think they said is wrong, I always think that bitcoin is valuable, but I didn't understand what is the origin of the value of bitcoin, why accept more people, its value will rise? If you have other ideas, please discuss.
Things don’t have intrinsic value, all the value something has, has to do with the beliefs of people, if people believe something is valuable or useful then it will be valuable, look at petroleum before the development of machines powered by it, people looking for water and that instead found petroleum got mad because of it but then that changed as petroleum became an essential part of the economy.
1874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OKCoin to support both coins and Bixin sticks to “one bitcoin only” on: March 22, 2017, 09:49:57 PM
The recent downfall of Bitcoin price was attributed to the potential split or hardfork of Bitcoin, as reported by some mainstream financial media like 36kr  and Sina in China. Aside from the lobbying of mining pools, support of exchanges is of critical importance. Although ETC was first traded on Bitsquare, Poloniex was actually the one that resurrects Ethereum Classic with abundant liquidity in the Ethereum hardfork 2016.
So far BTCC and Yunbi have released formal statement regarding the potential fork of Bitcoin network. OKCoin will support both coins if there is a split. Huobi is still studying the situation.
Bixin, aka haobtc,  will stick to the “one bitcoin only” policy and always follow the longest blockchain with 90% hashrate.

http://news.8btc.com/okcoin-to-support-both-coins-and-bixin-sticks-to-one-bitcoin-only
It seems the exchanges are preparing for the possibility the fork is not a rumor and instead  they treat it as almost a certainty, even if it does not happen I like the fact they are being cautious about it.
1875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: March 22, 2017, 09:47:22 PM

I think as long as you gambling for the right reason which is to have fun and you can control the amount you gamble you will be ok. A little bit of bitcoin used to gamble is not going to make someone go broke or get into trouble so as long as you are responsible about the money you spend.

It seems you are not aware to the fact that no one gamble for fun. It is a sad fact however it is the truth, you can deny it however you want. People get excited when they win and get money, that is the evidence that everyone gamble to win although they hide it through other reason such as having fun
I think you are mistaking greed with the natural desire of everyone to win, if you play a board game you are playing it for fun but it is the natural tendency of humans to want to win as well but even if you lose you can still get fun I think the same happens with gambling.
1876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: March 22, 2017, 09:45:14 PM
My worst mistake was when I was playing Texas holdem in an online tournament, I lost a pot and while the pot was not that big I entered into tilt, I got a pair of kings and immediately wanted to get my money back but my opponent got a pair of aces and I was eliminated from the tournament.
1877  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: March 21, 2017, 11:14:54 PM
In 2022, you mean in 5 years? Well, not by everyone, but I think most people from the rich countries will be using it. And also people from the poor countries will be keeping their savings in BTC since their local currencies will be much more unstable than BTC.
I think anything could be happen, although it seem atleast we need to wait more than 10 years to see its happen. I am sure that if global economy is getting worst, people will turn to use bitcoin.
i agree with you that bitcoin will use by everyone in coming 10 years in the future because bitcoin is the future currency and bitcoin getting much more popularity everyday and bitcoin getting more power and we can use bitcoin easily in everywhere around the world so bitcoin will be use as global currency in the future.
I think its already bitcoin are using by everyone not all people but every country has there are person who are using bitcoin.
And more users will come that can use bitcoin locally and online..
but i do not think that in present time all the people of the world are using bitcoin, to me i think not more that 1% people are using bitcoin and therefore we cannot expect that in 2022 all the people of the world will be using bitcoin.

That's right its hard to believe that each and every person will start using bitcoin in that short duration as bitcoin is still new to many people and it has not reached to each and every corner of the world and for that to happen it will really take a long time.
Unless the internet and smartphones become very cheap then bitcoin has no chance of being used by everyone in such a  short time frame, we don't have the infrastructure in place for bitcoin to be used everywhere especially in the poorest places on earth.
1878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is the beef? on: March 21, 2017, 11:09:31 PM
Quote
No actually nodes are ran by many other normal users and bitcoin service providers along with the miners but miners play important role in hard forks. After hard fork the network which will have majority of mining power will survive while the one which doesn't have much support from miners will ultimately die.

Thanks for that... Could we see repeat of Ethereum? Both ETH and ETC are still alive 10 month after the fork with sufficient hash power to support each branch. Ethereum brand has survived so far... I guess ... Nah, we should be fine.
The cases are different the Ethereum fork happened very early in the life of the coin a fork now for bitcoin could spell disaster, because even if at the end it works out many investors will leave and never come back .
1879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a bagholder? Which altcoins do you hold? on: March 21, 2017, 11:07:02 PM
In crypto land, there are a variety of cryptocurrencies to choose from, since the inception of Bitcoin. Many of them provide innovative ways for us to transact in our daily lives.

Some have advanced features and higher transaction throughtput than Bitcoin, and others are just cloned from BTC's codebase.

While the majority of altcoins are pump and dump, there are very few of them which are worth holding.

That is to say, we sometimes end up holding the bag when an specific altcoin massively declines in price.

Nevertheless, I would like to know if you are a bagholder of altcoins, and which of them do you hold into your wallet?

As for me, I hold plenty of altcoins like Casinocoin, Virtacoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, Ethereum, Ambercoin, LiteDoge, Tekcoin, Stratis, MonetaryUnit, Teslacoin, and many more (the list is extensive) Due to the many altcoins I hold for a pretty long time, I consider myself as a bagholder.

What about you?  Roll Eyes
Wow that is a long list, besides bitcoin the only other coin that I hold is Monero,  it is the only one I believe has potential, I know there are other great coins, but to me the potential of Monero is the greatest and that is why I hold some.
1880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make a good amount with 0.01BTC? on: March 21, 2017, 11:03:08 PM
Short answer you can’t also it is not specified what the OP means by decent amount and good time, but gambling must not be treated as a way to make any money do Ir for fun or to relax and you will get a lot more form gambling instead of being worried about losing your money.
