This is a pretty cool idea and website. Its good because it doesn't need to be provaerby fair but the problem is that the bets take too long. It should be like one bet every hour or a few times a day. Not so seldom as it currently is.

18603  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 400GH/S Technobit HEX4M Bitcoin Miner .33 BTC each on: February 10, 2015, 12:25:10 AM
I have 37 boards in hand and waiting on 51 boards to come in.  .33 BTC each includes shipping within the US.  Or buy all 88 for 26.31.

Info on boards http://technobit.eu/index.php?id_product=83&controller=product&id_lang=1

Thanks.

Where are you located?

Its 400GH/s right not 400MH/s ?

What about the ThermalTake
Smart Series SP-850M ?
18605  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How are Thermaltake PSU Brand in mining? on: February 09, 2015, 06:56:23 PM
SO I guess they are good for basic computing needs where it uses around 100W max. Not 80% of the full load?
18606  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer S3 or SP20 from Canada on: February 09, 2015, 06:46:40 PM
Hi SgtMoth,

Unfortunately, the price doesn't include tax and shipping. To send with regular parcel to Saskatchewan would cost 15$.

So, it would cost about 488 USD for one unit (Including GST shipping)

Please send me a mail with your Paypal information and shipping address to maximead@gmail.com if you are interested.

USD??  ...so thats how much btc

Ask for and confirm his GST/HST account info before you agree to anything.

Yes it also makes no sense why he is charging GST when he is requesting payment in either BTC or USD.
18607  Bitcoin / Hardware / How are Thermaltake PSU Brand in mining? on: February 09, 2015, 06:39:28 PM
I am debating whether to purchase an Thermaletake 850W PSU to power 2 of my Antminers.

I had good performance with Corsairs and used them in all my rigs.

Just wondering how Thermaltake performs? I know they are popular in the overclocking world and might be good builds?
18608  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 09, 2015, 05:54:02 PM
For the SP20, don't get PCIe connectors start to melt when you are running them? Arent they pulling 300W each?

Wasn't this a huge issue with the KNCMIners in the past and it was a fire hazard.

That's interested. How loud are they running at these underclocked speeds?

In my opinion $488 is WAY TOO MUCH for an SP20 especially with the diff increase and low BTC price.

If you want an SP20 I noticed there was a guy in Quebec selling one on eBay

You are better off buying that one because it comes with 2 PSUs at least and its a private sale so no GST.

Hello

How does the maintenance margin work exactly? Its at 15%

Means if you open a short with $100 to sell $330 worth of BTC, the position can't go more then $50 against you?

If you are -$50 the position automatically closes?
18613  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Scratch a Bitcoin on: February 09, 2015, 11:32:42 AM
Its looks good but the site needs to have a facuet and some kind of proof that its not scamming the player.

How exactly are wins determined?
18614  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is bitcoin mining profitable ? on: February 09, 2015, 09:37:52 AM
Yes you basically need to wait until BTC crashes and causes panic selling of ASICs and find a place where you can get free electricty.

And even then its hardly worth it because you'll only make a couple bucks a day per ASIC.

About a year ago you paid like $10000 for an ASIC and were banking $500 a day. So when the ASIC was paid in full you were still pulling in at least $200 per day or so.

Now it will take 6 months to ROI an ASIC just to make $2/day.

Not worth the hassle.

In certain countries like ASIA. electricity is DIRT cheap or stolen from an electrical pole and $2 a day feeds a family probabily. In america $2 a day is nothing. Coffee maybe. And thats crappy coffee at McDonalds and not Starbucks.

Its actually pretty cool and smart however I wish it paid much more then only 500 sats. That's so little these days.

Some dice sites pay more then that
18619  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3+ Discussion and Support Thread on: February 08, 2015, 12:51:42 AM
So I have an antminer s3+ and the of the latest firmware versions won't let me factory reset the device with the button on the outside of the unit.  I cannot log in via browser because some settings were messed up inside the software.  I know the ip address and where it is but it will not let me even access that at all.  How can I factory reset this damn thing? Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh

Sorry for your troubles but you will have to send it in for service to BITMAIN. They have an office in USA.

Honestly there are more and more of these new game sites out there but why is it that the owner always has zero posts?

Its lead me to believe that the sites will get large enough and then steal all our BTCs
