Brentford FC - Aston Villa

Does anyone know if steven gerrard will be in the field? Is he already better in health?

I think he shouldn't be in the field. There hasn't been any updates regarding his health but he was found Covid positive last week and the quarantine rules are more than that so I think he wouldn't be there unless I am missing on some update quarantine rules.

Chelsea - Liverpool

liverpool will be a disaster without a coach, honestly this is the kind of game I don't bet

Well I don't think its gonna effect them much. Last night Arsenal did great without coach on the field. As long as there is a way to send message to players and initiation is ensured I don't think it would be much hard. Yeah they have tough fixture I am more than sure Reds are gonna put themselves 100% irrespective of whether their coach is there or not.

Arsenal have missed many opportunities, but do not forget that Manchester City's defense is one of the best in the Premier League this season. Making goals against them is not an easy task at all.
I like Manchester's strategy. They were more focused on ball possession, with 71% ball possession by Manchester City. Due to which Arsenal did not get a chance to attack too much. Moreover, one of the reasons for their defeat was Gabriel's red card.

Arsenal tried well and they were really pressing Manchester City in the starting. They were almost dominating them in first 20-30 minutes. Another goal for Arsenal would have been great and would have created much more pressure on City. I really hoped that City would drop some points there but now they have drifted further leaving quite some gap between them and Liverpool and Chelsea.

Jurgen Klopp has COVID and he will be quarantined. His assistant will lead Liverpool during the match against Chelsea.I wonder will this have any kind of  negative impact over the Liverpool players.
Chelsea isn't very consistent in their results, since several players also have COVID and are quarantined.
My bet is that Liverpool will win.
The sad thing is that the pandemic and the lack of some quarantined football players will have great influence over the teams in 2022.
I'm sure that Manchester City will win the trophy in the end. They have lots of high quality players and having one or two quarantined won't be such a big problem.

It's a tough game and honestly both are performing not as expected especially Chelsea and with current situation I also think Liverpool has the edge here but you can't rule out the Champions league winners here. It would be a tough and thrilling contest. Two best sides of the PL clashing at the start of the New Year is just perfect. Manchester City are onna comfortable seat with quite some lead on the table but today's game is crucial as we will get to know who has the chances of getting to Manchester City on the table.
1884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 01, 2022, 06:25:46 PM
La Liga matches from next week will be tough matches for Valencia, they will face Real Madrid, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad and Barcelona. Maybe Valencia will drop in rankings here, what do you think?

Out of all of them only Real Madrid is the one who is not having any kind of issues right now. Sevilla is doing good but it should not be tough task. Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad have been surprised by underdogs this season so it's still possible for Valencia. And rest is Barcelona who are having issues also so I would say yeah they have games against big teams but yeah they are a good team and I don't want to say that they would go out and surprise them all against these teams but I also don't think they wouldn't put out a flop show in these upcoming fixtures.

If Real Madrid brought in two top stars then how much would it cost? Whereas I heard that Mbappe and Haaland are now priced above 100 million euros for one person, Madrid must be prepared to spend so much money for these two players.
But this is still a rumor that Mbappe is still consistent with his statement that he will stay with PSG, Haaland still doesn't have any clauses with other clubs but this will be the moment he's waiting for where Haaland will go to LaLiga or the EPL.

100 million or it could be more or it could be even free.. depends upon the situation and how the club value those players. Real Madrid earlier offered PSG around 180m Euro for Mbappe but PSG declined so that gives off the sign that club value Mbappe much more than money. They need his services for the club's future. Not sure about Haaland but earlier when asked about transfer, contract and interest from other clubs Haaland answered that he would respect the contract he has with Dortmund for now but now it's possible that his stance might be different.

Mbappe at PSG is a bit of not clear state. His contract is about to end and it's not like PSG has made a move in this situation but Mbappe has refused those contract extensions. We could only know about that in summer transfer window so let's see what happens there as well.

As a Gunners fan so proud of the way they played today. In the starting 20-30 minutes they were the one dominating and lots of close attempts giving the scare to Manchester City. If I compare the game they played against City couple of months ago and today's game I would say Arsenal has improved a lot. Don't mind the loss today but I really applaud the effort they put today.
1887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 01, 2022, 11:05:12 AM
That is just yet another odd transfer decision made by barcelona lol.

bring a non long term potential player such as morata to the club shows how broke they are on maximize spending money thesedays.
too much , luuk De jong, aguero and now dembele for morata, typical the next ac milan who could spent years in trophyless.

Well I wouldn't say it as an odd transfer but maybe they could have got someone better but let's see maybe Xavi has some plans. Also Barca is not broke ..like I thought, they just spent around 55m Euros to bring in Ferran Torres so I wouldn't say broke. Yeah the money situation still might be there so maybe they are focusing on economical transfer and save it for a massive one?
1888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 01, 2022, 11:00:37 AM
Talking about Arsenal versus Manchester City, they both has won their last four matches.
Is Mikel Arteta really out with Covid ?
According to statistics, Arsenal has never lost their first league game of the calendar year since 2015.
With this I'm down for a home win or draw.

It will be tough for Arsenal. City have a good squad and they have to keep them at bay today. Arsenal defence so far has been wonderful and whats now today stands is the toughest test for them. I would say it could go either way but it would be an interesting contest between these two sides.
1889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 31, 2021, 06:51:17 PM
According to reports,Aubameyang of Arsenal is contemplating on changing club, since the relationship between him and Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta is getting worse as the Brazilian has refused to put Aubameyang in his game plans, and has opted to use Alexander Lacazette
as his central 9, and his also contemplating on giving Lacazette an extension of contract as a reward for his fine form.
Therefore,Aubameyang has thought of considering Juventus who have shown interest in signing the him.

Not sure what is happening inside Arsenal with Aubameyang but without him Arsenal are getting results. Arteta has made it clear that he will continue to be out of the squad and it seems like it is very likely going towards Arsenal exit for Aubameyang. With Aubameyang out of the squad it was obvious that Lacazette would be the one to start so yeah turned out well for Laca. Last I heard that he wouldn't be training with the first team until the international matches so let's see what next update comes after then about the situation.
1890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 31, 2021, 04:34:02 PM
It is your assumption that if their players are united as a whole team. A coach is important because of this mission, tactic is important, training is important but the most important role of a coach is unite players as a whole team. Good players can not make up a strong team if they are not united and play for common objectives.

If Bayern players will still unite together and play together, they can win titles without coach but is it realistic assumption?

Yeah manager is important but hahay only wanted to point out how strong Bayern Munich right now is. In Bundesliga table they are 9 points above the second placed team Dortmund and Dortmund are also not performing that great either so I would say not a real contender for them in the title race. Bayern are definitely strong and it seems hard to see Bayern blowing out this lead despite the squad they have. Yeah it is possible they might blow if they get issues of their own but chances are slim.

Apparently there are problems in Christensen's contract extension with Chelsea.
It looked sorted out and he was expected to stay but now it looks less and less likely. Top contender for his signature looks to be Barcelona.

After Rudiger, this would be another big blow to Chelsea. These are their 2 main centrebacks.

That's an interesting news. Along with that last week I saw Azpilicueta also being linked to Barcelona as the rumours said the Spanish international has already agreed for the move to Spanish giant for the summer transfer move. Seems like the solid defence of Chelsea is going to breakdown next season. Chelsea really needs to do something about this if it is true.

According to reports,Arsenal are on the verge of signing Phillips Coutinho who is in the pecking other in Barcelona
At according to reports, arsenal is ready to meet up their demand and pay their sum required from Barcelona.

If Arsenal can secure the signing of Phillips Coutinho,I will be much  happy and grateful.

Arsenal has Odeegard , why do they need Phillipe Coutinho? Also there is Smith-Rowe who can also play in centre midfield so not sure if Coutinho is what Arsenal needs right now. There are lot of players in midfield for Arsenal so anything that is linking a midfielder to Arsenal seems quite hard to believe.

Besides Coutinho is 29 and Arteta is building a team for the future so that's one also why I think Coutinho is not in Arteta's plans.

Right now, I think what we need a midfielder to pattern with partey and  striker. Arsenal can not sign philipe because we have our new NO#10 ôdegaard who is performing excellent  in recent games . The only signing we need is getting renato and dejan kuluzski .About dusan vlahovic am not happy on spending alot of money on him. Arsenal should wait the summer transfer to boost the squad not January its very difficult to get the good players
I think Arsenal want to sign Coutinho as a back up for ôdegaard, I am sure Arteta wouldn't toy with the winning team, in case of any injury to any key midfield player, he will be a perfect replacement else Coutinho coming to sign Arsenal wouldn't guarantee him a regular shirt and I am sure he will weigh his option before signing the contract once he is not sure of first team shirt I think he will back out from the contract, as it is now Smith Rowe and ôdegaard are in-form now and very consistent I don't think any incoming player can displace them from the team.

They still have Smith Rowe and right now Arteta already is having difficulty giving them regular play time so why add another player to that list and make that worse? Also Coutinho is a big name (well not that big name) but still some player so I really don't think midfielder is what they need.

Yeah they do need a striker and Vlahovic really could be a great signing.

Fernandes is suspended so Ronaldo will be there with Cavani in attack so seems like a very good change to me. And I honestly think they should make Ronaldo-Cavani paired up much more often. We have seen in past how well they have linked up and scored some good goals under Ole. Hope this change bring in some change in their performance.

Burnley really needs to be watched out for by Manchester United players. We all know that the Manchester United game is still not good. They just stagnate and don't make much change. Manchester United even though it contains star players, but in fact for some reason, it seems like it doesn't show its true existence. Ronaldo's movement is often closed and is the key to not moving freely.

The losses and series of unexpected draws have made them low in spirit. It's not working out for them and they are again giving their opponents lot of space for opponent to make a move and try in some shots. Their defensive midfielders are performing poor and attack is not working.

The chances of victory still belong to Man United I think. but it is possible that Burnley can take advantage of a draw and even win if they play disciplined from the start of the match. because we know Man United has not played well even with the arrival of their new manager.
Newcastle can force United to draw, I think Burnley has the same chance. even if lucky they can get a win.

Well yeah United are the favourites and honestly I also want them to make a move forward in the table but the atmosphere inside the dressing room is not just right. Well let's see how they do today.

I don’t know why Man City is so hell bent on acquiring Kane or Haaland in the summer and being so public about it.  I’m thinking, could Pep and Txiki want all attention from the real prize..?  Which is Mbappe for free this summer as his contract ends after the current season.  Grin

The betting market for Mbappe next club lined him stay at PSG at 1.01, to be signed by Real Madrid at 14, Chelsea at 16, United at 20, Liverpool at 20 but City at 30?  Hmmm..  Something’s off here.  I’d line City as having more of a chance to sign Mbappe than Liverpool.  City badly needs a striker, LFC not really.

Conte wants Kane for his plans with Spurs so I am sure he is not gonna move until his contract ends out. Interesting that Mbappe to stay at PSG is at 1.01 odds. There are many reports about tension between him and the PSG board about the contract extension and rumours about Real Madrid and Mbappe talks so I would say should have inclined towards Real Madrid or rather 50-50 b/w stay at PSG and move to Madrid. Well I also find something off here..I would love to see about the site from where you are checking this odds.

About today's match Even though Burnley are in the relegation zone and also playing as an away team, I personally don't really believe Manchester United will be able to win easily. Although indeed, the chances of Manchester United are so big to get full points because this will be a very good moment. Apart from the head to head factor that is not always in favor of the home team, I also saw Burnley's performance when playing against big teams this season, at least Burnley can always provide a strong resistance too. This will certainly make Manchester United have to put in more effort to win, even though Burnley are a team that ranks bottom at the moment but we can't underestimate it.

United are out of form and honestly Burnley have some surprising scorers and have made me lost my bets earlier in quite some matches. Burnley are in relegation zone and so were Newcastle but Newcastle managed to get a draw against United so I am not gonna undermine Burnley here. If United were to win, then they have to get their usual scorers like Ronaldo and Fernandes to be back in scoring form.

Law from The Telegraph (a fairly legitimate source) is claiming that Rudiger has already agreed terms for his summer move to Real. It is a move that was expected and it seems it's all but confirmed now.

Real needed another centerback and they got a good one on a free transfer, meaning they won't have to spend in a situation where they are saving all of their money for the Mbappe deal.

Chelsea on the other hand will be losing their key defensive player and will for sure have to strengthen in the summer.

That would be a top transfer for Real Madrid. The timing of Rudiger's situation with Chelsea has fallen off perfectly for Real Madrid. I think Chelsea has gone very late with providing Rudiger a good contract extension. It's gonna be a tough job for them to find another centre back who is as strong like Rudiger. They do have some young centre backs but that's gonna take lot of time and experience to become like Rudiger.
1899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 26, 2021, 05:00:47 PM
The first half was completely under the control of Manchester City. Leicester's players could not take any advantage. But Leicester were more attacking from the start of the second half. And they scored 3 goals in the second half with the help of Kelechi Iheanacho. Kelechi has 2 assists and 1 goal. Manchester is still ahead by 2 goals. They will win, but we were able to enjoy an exciting match.

Yeah City are on total control and Kelechi Iheanacho almost had City on the surprise and turn him into a super sub. No one would have thought that after 4-0 , Leicester will go towards comeback but City still had the game in control.

In another game , Arsenal took their game against Arsenal really well. They completely thrashed Norwich with 5-0 scoreline.

Just missed some bullets with Championship games postponed, was going for Blackburn Rovers but they're the latest victims... 2 hours before kickoff goddamn man I think we really need to avoid English games after today.

Guess I got caught up in that. Totally forgot that games are getting postponed and just bet the freebet I had on Blackburn Rovers to win against Hull and just now got to know that they had their game postponed. I had the same game in my multibet and the other games are on so that one survives.

Well lesson learnt now ...
