Manchester City won 3-0 at home, Haaland scored hat-trick while Arsenal really struggled for final 3-2 score against Manchester United. These two match were really good, and I didn't miss any of them today. Arsenal are safe after lead 5 points from City, while Manchester City continues to improve their form after falling behind Arsenal. This season is still long and I think it will be tense until the end.
It's been an interesting match day live for both title contenders. Most of us thought today was the day that Arsenal gets to drop point looking at the ever in form Manchester United but, Arteta wasn't prepared to let Pep come any closer than he should nor was the team ready to lose to Manchester United yet again. Coming frm behind to beat a team like Manchester United at this point in the league is a no easy task and the response with a goal after M. Rashford found the back of there net was a promise of a fight like no other.

Nketiah did good today as, his very much filling in for the continued absence of G. Jesus. A brace to him on this very important match is just how a striker ought to show his presence in the team.

Manchester City got Wolverhampton confused amongst themselves. I've not seen a weak Wolves this season like I did today and E. Haaland took most of his chances quite beautifully. R. Mahrez has been so generous with his passes and did gift E. Haaland an easy goal. Good thing for him to have earned his top team spot in the Pep's squad.
1883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 22, 2023, 05:37:43 PM
this match just got more and more interesting. because it didn't take long for Arsenal to equalize the score back to 1-1. really tough competition.
Good attitude from a team that want to win the League. I am proud of Arsenal and Nketiah how he has filled in the position of Gabriel Jesus. We have controlled the game and have had good touches. Martinelli has not been so in this game and I think that Arteta may take him off in the second half. Manchester United especially Martinez have been very good in the defence, and I think they are very careful and are just looking to score another goal that they can defend.

I will like to see Trossard play, he can score if he comes in.
Your definitely watching this game from the same angle that I am watching it.

Both teams have been impressive and the ball has been more of an Arsenal dominance as opposed to Manchester United. Although, I was disappointed at the Ramsdale to have not saved M. Rashford's goal. As much as I want to give credit for M. Rashford for such a great goal and the courage he took to take the outside the box shot and courage isn't something that is lacking for M. Rashford at the moment but, Ramsdale was better positioned to have seen and anticipate the direction of that ball. I expected expected good save from him on that.

Arsenal suey di Hood to come back into the game as soon as they could and you could see them pushing more for another. L  Shaw is doing some good job at keeping B. Saka at bay but, they need to be more careful with the Arsenal build ups.
1884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 22, 2023, 04:53:40 PM
The fact that Haaland scores a lot is very good, the most important thing is that City does not become dependent on one striker, what if he gets injured, how much will the team's results worsen? Yes, he does hat trick often, perhaps more than anyone before him in the Рremier league.
Does Manchester City looks like a team that is dependent on E. Haaland?
I get the point that, E. Haaland seems to be the night in shining armour for Manchester City at the moment with his goal scoring ability but, if you look at it, his goals have always come by an assist. Either from De Bruyne, R. Mahrez, B. Silva and the hots of others that work the ball all the way for him to score. What Manchester City needs is just a striker in the standby and the balls surely won't be lacking, they would get the ball to him and they've got a lot of strikers at there disposal. J. Alvarez is definitely a worthy substitute tha you can expect to deliver in the absence of E. Haaland. Manchester City showed there superiority today and Wolverhampton did very little to repel them.
1885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to be great? Then be ready to learn. on: January 21, 2023, 11:50:59 PM
I heard about Bitcoin years ago but due to my lackadaisical attitude toward things, I ignored because I believed then that any thing bitcoin or crypto are all Ponzi or scam😁.

Ignorance should never be an excuse.
Learn and equip yourself so your next 5 years self will be proud of you.
Cryptocurrency started gaining the spotlight when the pyramid schemes where rocking our societies. People wanted to make money and not get to do any work for it. Just having someone hold a portion of there money while they make outrageous profit from it in such short time so, when it turned out that the majority where loosing money instead, it sort of create a suspicious mindset in the minds of individuals and that's cool. That's actually one of the best things I think came out of ponzi schemes because, it became some means to guide people against scam.

When comes to learning, it's an all through life procedure. One who is unreachable or feels to know it all is someone to who you can refer to for a stupid person. There is always going to be something or tricks to a thing that you won't know. It's important that you stay teachable.
1886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it possible to invest in bitcoin to build a country whose economy is down? on: January 21, 2023, 10:39:23 PM
: all people who can afford it are obliged to invest in bitcoin, but of course investing in bitcoin is only made as a side job. but of course
Can an investment that is looked at for a side job (if we should call it that) actually be someeans to build a nation? I actually think not. It would help for sure with reducing the level of unemployment or the poverty level of a nation and create rroom for the bulk money that would have have used in the printing of fiat notes to be redirected towards other developmental project but certainly won't solve the economy issues within a nation state.

At the moment, the world is going through some difficult times, inflation here and there and the most that could have helped to build the economy is being able to produce what you consume more than your imports and actually doing some more exports.
1887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I had known on: January 20, 2023, 07:10:08 PM
I was introduced to Bitcoin talk org six years ago but I never took it serious because I feel digital money is not real. My non willingness to learn, has cost me a life changing opportunity but now, I know better😀.
I really don't get to think much on lost chances nor do I blame people about it. Even if the time were to be reversed, the chances are that you might have made the same exact choice as, you still won't have known better and the elements to thwart your decisions would still be there and very much active too.

When it comes to bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general, some of the questions has been to how real it is and it is sad really. That people seem to center their believes or ideas of what is real with something tangible. You know  forgetting that there are context to things and on the part of digitalised nature of things, bitcoin or cryptocurrencies is as real as it gets.

Ideas have been a distinctive factor between investors and the many struggling today. Of course finance can play a role but mainly, your ideas and that could be more of the reason why you @OP didn't take the leap. The goodnews is, its not late now.

No one can steal your bitcoin
I wonder how the the hacks and prising does happen then.
Of course if your careless with your security or chose to save your coin on centralised exchanges in contrats to non custodial wallets, you might have some dark clouds gathering right above you, waiting to rain heavy.
1888  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the key to your success investing in bitcoin.. on: January 20, 2023, 06:59:07 PM
Buy at a bear market, sell at a bull run,
It really all goes down to this but the ways to functioning on that principle is distinct per individual because, even as simple as it looks, its never an easy thing to do.

With Botcpon yet to serve a completely currency purpose, having liquidity issues, lack of merchants willing to accept it for a means of payment and the issue with global adoption, using it for an asset has been the way and to do this, one needs to develop certain qualities to ensure your not selling when you shouldn't. Even if you should want to sell, it's got to be the only option out of a situation.

Patience is such a good quality to develop at that point but, its surely that doesn't come out cheap and you've got to at least have other streams of income to keep you going. While keeping tabs on price which is a horrible idea, you ensure to buy no matter the market condition and focus your expenses on other streams of income to keep you off your crypto portfolio.
1889  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: More reason why you need to diversify to crypto on: January 20, 2023, 06:45:01 PM
You don’t have to buy bitcoin, you can use the money to buy stable coins and hodl them in a non custodial wallet. It’s like a fixed deposit account only better because you’re the only one that controls it.

As you dey invest for stablecoin do understand say like many dun crash to zero already. Some go unreported as dem no be get better name for themselves so dem no go sell news. If you invest in the centralized ones like UST dey fit crash because of the founder carelessness while decentralized one fit crash (depegged) due to low liquidity like people no wan buy or sell am. E dey risky all through so instead Bitcoin is the most advisable form or you just find wey to hold the real dollars and forget all this stablecoin that's if you dey fear to invest and hold Bitcoin but na him for sure pass.
Na the truth be that. Some coins no really dey distinct in the sense of fiat. You know, the truth be say, out fiat na central bank issued or mint and backed by them. When it comes to some coins, those once way dey centralised and depend largely on the investors dey operate 9n the same base being that, this person get some kind influence on the coin and even at that, most of this stablecoines paged with dollar no get actual dollar for bank on each of there coins. You directly face almost the same risk!

I dey like tell myself say, money no fit actually lose for online so, if the banks wish to check or track this frauds, them fit but them  no go like do am. Na there e cast reach. Where chances dey limited na when person use am buy crypto shah.
1890  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: January 19, 2023, 11:12:01 PM
Lately I've been wondering if we can find out who ignored us.
Is there any way to find out who ignored us?  Huh
I doubt we've got any means to know exvept for users that have got there ignore losy spelt out on reputation. I really don't hope for there to be any means put in place to help users know when they've been ignored though. It could introduce bias you know, users getting to ignore other users just because, they've found themselves to be ignored by a certain user. Actions and reactions because, its surely going to come to that.

Just now, am wondering what it would seem like should every other user that feels the need create some ignore list thread. 3hat a mess it would be, don't you think!
1891  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you measure image width and height ? on: January 19, 2023, 10:45:11 PM
Good way but you can modify the image using this code
Code:
http://somesite/image.gif
[/img]
I personally prefer to use this code with all images of inappropriate sizes.
Perhaps what's contained in OP is cool but given the fact that, not all users access the forum with there computer devices and at times, one might be indisposed to access a computer system and still want to access the forum with there mobile devices, you might not have that liberty of image size adjustment on a mobile device if what is contained in OP is all you know. That's why, it's important to study the codes that works just fine on the forum. Your not limited by any means once you can wrap your head around it, you replicate it  preview it to see if it fits and continue to make your adjustment until its good enough for you.
Hence, the code format as at above is definitely better.

You might want to move this thread to beginners and help though. I think it's best suited there.
1892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 19, 2023, 10:23:52 PM
And City did it they got their comfortable three points.
You know, what was so interesting aside from the match was the manager. How Pep chose not to make any immediate changes to the 11 men that was already loosing 2 goals already in the last minutes of first half. He brought same thing in the second half half got the result he wanted. It says nothing other than, Pep Guardiola knows what his doing.
Conte is so disappointed at this game and you can tell with his reaction. You know he could almost taste the win after the first half but, conceding 4 goals in the second half, that was disastrous.

Spurs were literally confused and terrified of Manchester City in the second half. The rich was just on and you could find Spurs making mistakes after mistakes in there passes and pull outs. It's something Manchester City can use and they used it.
1893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 19, 2023, 09:37:49 PM
After we almost gave up on them equalizing after their first-half performance, they surprised everyone by scoring two quick second-half goals to tie the game with Tottenham. The score is now level, and I expect nothing less than an intense match from now until the end.
Some times you watch the EPL and you wonder whats going in here. It's definitely what I am asking myself after seeing the turns in this game.
Just minutes before the end of first half, we had Tottenham net two balls in what felt like game over for Manchester City. Thought they've done Arsenal a favour by helping them extend there point gap but, as soon as the second half kicked off, we had the J. Alvarez moment, the E. Haaland moment and the R. Mahrez moment to give them 3 goals.
Contr at the moment is doing everything possible to get back in the game, making all necessary substitute  and its game on.
1894  Economy / Economics / Re: Brace yourselves, CBDCs one Step Closer on: January 18, 2023, 10:27:20 PM
Coindesk revealed the Bank of America has been researching CBDCs and it seems that they are closer than ever. The report considers CBDCs to have a lot of potential and was a natural evolution of money.
I am still of the perception that not much would change about how people will react towards a system that functions on the CBDC. Most of all, not compared to cryptos in itself. It still remains a CB backed currency with it being a digital fiat, not less centralised and so, its still going to come with some bias.

Cryptocurrency will as well continue to hold its position in our society, being something above government influence even in the face or regulations and it is its decentralized and unregulated nature that would ensure it strives.

Let the CBDC come, the narrative still isn't going to cause ge in respect to cryptocurrency but, would be as per how fiat is been used or issued.
1895  Economy / Economics / Re: We are not out of the woods yet on: January 18, 2023, 10:15:47 PM
I don't believe that this bear market will be different, if you are here in 2019 you knew what I am talking about.
I don't know what you are talking about. For people that came in 2019 this is the first real bear market season. IMHO this is merely an accumulation phase and could be that there will be heavy volatility ahead where the bears and bulls fight.
I can tell you very much that, one of the first things I did after reading the OP and seeing uses rank was to look out for the date of  registration. Although that doesn't really say when you got involved in cryptocurrency as OP could have been in the innovation way longer but, speaking of 2019 and bearish market...! I was stunned even more. That's because, I was around in 2019 although much later but, this is definitely my first bear season.

History has it that, 2017 was the year that came with the bears, ravaging the crypto space with investors having to lose faith but experience tells investors to stick around.
Yeah, it's not funny I the bears and looking at the charts now to see some pumps, it's not enough to say we are done with the bears yet. We are still very much in the bears but, we just might have hit the ock bottom for the bearish season already.
1896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 18, 2023, 10:01:54 PM
Finally, Manchester United gets to share points since the beginning beginning of the year. No goal for M. Rashford today and you could see that, he really meaned to score by trying some selfish solo moves but, the Crystal Palace defence were always there to keep him put. De Gea did his best and came up with some great saves but, the S. Olise free kick was one that came without any major challenge from De Gea. It was just shocking as to what a beautiful free kick it was, full of quality from Olise and it took the Manchester United team by surprise.

Even still, Olise didn't celebrate his goal, why was that... He seemed disappointed that the team struggled.
The 90+ minutes came with lots of activities in counter attack from the Crystal Palace and for a minute, they could have gotten yet another goal. Even Casemiro had his chance too but, couldn't get much contact in front of the goal.
1897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 18, 2023, 09:07:26 PM
Finally Manchester United managed to score one goal  before the halftime and they currently lead Crystal palace by 1 goal a beautiful set piece from Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes utilize the opportunity to put  Manchester United ahead from away.
I almost thought Crystal Palace would be getting there first half draw but, Manchester United seemed determined to seal the win right from the first half because, I don't think Crystal Palace might be able to come back to this game. Manchester United looks quite confident in this match. So far in the first half, Crystal Palace have managed to create just a single chance and what a fantastic chance it was from Eduard but, the heads of De Gea was right there to send the ball over the wood work. Another good chance from Manchester United came off the legs of look Shaw. What a great technique he strikes the ball with and it was too bad it never went in but, B. Fernández did the trick at last.
1898  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding could be better on: January 18, 2023, 12:07:49 AM
I don't see any boring part of seeing your money grow. without having any effort like sitting? People that I've known want to have passive income like business and they are working hard so sitting on the couch and seeing your bitcoin holdings grow overtime is good. But it takes time unlike trading when you can win a certain amount on that day or week unlike holding takes years before you can see that you gain profit. but again it depends on the person since my self I prefer both so I do allocate money to both.
Most of the investors haven't come into cryptocurrency see it for a space to come and make money then leave. That's just it, you come in, accumulate as you want and walk away. Only to come back when ever your ready to accumulate some more and leave.

Well, there are sides to this even. Given that, what is given is taken from someone or some place else. Its why we've got Aak and Bid in our orders. Depending on the market situation, one might make profit from being in either position  from time to time.

Trading and hodling offers different advantages or securities.
In trading, you get to operate on a high level of risk to reward ratio. You find yourself putting out more which could always take either ways in either profit or lose bit, this occurs more frequently and so, you've got some real chance of doubling or been robbed of your portfolio in the shortest possible time.
When it's got to do with hodling, the dynamics to doubling comes with the time you put in and even might not be commensurate with the wait time in years. One thing remains for sure and that is, profit but, its coin specific though. Bitcoin remains the most recommended for hoding if you may. DYOR.
1899  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 is a dishonest person and thus my negative feedback on: January 17, 2023, 11:51:33 PM
One can stand their ground and not stoop to the level of grotesque mud-slinging this is turning into. Let's say Royse777 lied, PP can add this statement to the OP and not add more negative ratings. I don't expect de-escalation any time soon but I think by now it's quite clear where the sides stand in this debacle and I doubt anyone's opinion will be significantly affected if one of them stops counterpunching.
Your apparently right. The good gesture to any peaceful coexistence is understanding each others differences and be willing/ready to make necessary adjustments. Being right in a contest of words with nothing else to hedge on could be such a difficult thing to archive when it's put in contest. Its always going going to have a direction to turn with any capped pinnacle and so, I'll suggest they both be wrong in there perception of long ago and current claims to move on. That feels like the more easier thing to do.

I don't xoect my word to mean much here, like Suchmoon has stated, opinions don't significantly matter with all sides believing to have something to prove so, let the parties be wrong to be peaceful than be right and throw punches.
1900  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 is a dishonest person and thus my negative feedback on: January 17, 2023, 11:29:08 PM
Royse777 (can we skip the childish name mangling) posted telegram screenshots of a potential client telling him (Royse777) that they (the potential client) received a message from you. I don't know if the alleged message was telling them not to do business with Royse777 nor did they say it was a PM, and my statement is mostly hypothetical anyway. If you're saying you didn't send the message then one of you three is lying (you, Royse777, or the client) but honestly I couldn't care less at this point. Can you be the adult in this drama and step back? Someone should, might as well be you.
It's such a difficult result to expect on the forum given that, which ever way it turns, it gets to reflect badly and its very much sticky so I wouldn't expect either of Poker Player or Royse777 not to stay there ground on that particular allegation given the too distinct position but, should anyone hope to end that quite conclusively, it would be the company. Having a copy of messages from both parties.

Either way, I am not any much interested and really hope for this drama to end as it begone. Hate and fabrications are something not to expect on forum users. This division to the point of not having to wish for our goods isn't helping.
