There may not be a "massive" risk, but there is a significant risk. We are debating in this topic whether the odds that are being provided are accurate or not. And I have made it very clear that the odds for Biden (1.30) and Kamala (9.80) looks out of touch with reality. Kamala's odds should be at least in the 3.00-4.00 range. A lot of things can go wrong for Biden in the next 18 months (just saying about the possibilities). And it's not just the health. The economy is not doing very good, and there is always a chance of another COVID wave.

Yeah, it looks like COVID is making a come back these days, probably a new wave in the horizon.

The thing is that most countries kinda decided to not care about it really as they saw the devastating effects of closing down businesses. Plus also there's lots of vaccination done already which should keep things a bit more under control than before.
1882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Females domination in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies on: April 18, 2023, 11:33:44 PM
I think that many women understand crypto even more than some men, it's just that society, unfortunately, does not take them seriously.
In any case, I hope that more and more women will appear in the crypto industry in the future. We should all work together to ensure our bright future!

If a woman, or any human for that matter, makes a valuable or interesting contribution to Bitcoin it will most definitely not be ignored.

I wonder if there's any kind of backing to those statements made, i.e. a woman making contributions to Bitcoin that is being actively ignored. I do not believe such thing exists.

If it's a game of luck yes, we mostly need luck but what if it's a game of skill? We can still be able to win as long as we are skillful and have only a little or no luck at all. It's possible for a skillful players to win at most times and the only way for them to be defeated is when there are players that is more skillful than them.

But indeed that it's better to stop once the start and the middle of the game is mostly losses as it can be a sign that we are not lucky for the day. I've tried to continue many times thinking that later games are going to be good but no., I only lose all my balance. I admit that until now, I still got tempted to continue sometimes. Gambling is truly powerful.

Any game in a casino is a game of luck.

Even if you're playing a game that involves strategy, like Poker for example.

The odds of every single game are calculated so that they benefit the casino.

Also, any technique that might benefit the player is banned, like counting cards, using computers, etc.

That's what I am saying. There is a very high chance (IMO) that Biden won't be healthy enough to run for election in 2024. 18 months is very long time, and lot of things can happen. And in case Biden can't run for POTUS, then who will be the alternate choice? At this point I can't think of anyone other than Kamala. And this is the reason why I am saying that Kamala's odds look crazy at this point. They should be much more favorable. But then always remember that winning the Democrat nomination is a lot different from winning the POTUS elections in 2024.

Biden is eighty years old, which is old, but I don't think there's a massive risk he wouldn't be able to get to the next 18 months based on his age.

Trump is 76 so it's a bit in the same age group really.

Worth noting that neither of them drink alcohol, so they might be healthier than average.

Flawless withdrawal processes are truly a gift to have when you join a gambling platform as a new member. Most of the casinos that are old wouldn't really make it a tiring process and even if there is a KYC requirement, it will be pretty smooth if you go through it with the guidance provided and give them what they asked you for without any hesitation.

But, when it comes to new casinos, it sometimes becomes a headache and you get tired of all the retries only to verify yourself if they ask for KYC before a withdrawal, you are probably in luck if their support team is friendly and quick to respond.

I think that's probably the hardest hurdle for a legit new casino. And also probably one of the tools new shady casinos use to keep your money in their platform.

If it's smooth, then people will keep coming back, even if it's new.

First of all, I would not consider beer as an alcoholic beverage. It contains less than 5% ethyl alcohol. Even some of the homeopathic medications contain more alcoholic content. Also, beer is a fermented beverage and it is not distilled. Also, I don't agree with your argument that alcohol is the root cause of all the evil in the world. Here in India, there are states such as Mizoram, Nagaland and Bihar where alcohol is banned. And these are the states with highest drug addiction rates and crime rate in India. Also, the highest prevalence of HIV infection as well.

Beer absolutely is an alcoholic beverage.

You can end up heavily intoxicated by only drinking beer.

You are probably thinking of 0.5% instead of 5%. Even bread or soy sauce, etc, can have up to 0.5% or so of alcohol, but that's not enough to make you drunk.

There's no way a homeopathic medication has more alcohol content than beer. Happy to be proven wrong with a link, but that medication would not be sold without prescription if indeed it has more than 5%, which I'm sure it doesn't have.

Well, with all this AI stuff, it's a fever, or I would say more like it's a fashionable way where everyone wants to be a part of it, either benefiting or taking many things into consideration in order to take advantage of it, obviously people think about the casinos to beat them, or in lotteries, or even to make sports bets, I'm sure that in the future AI will develop more, and I don't know how good it will be to predict events like sports, or do a better job in a casino, maybe yes, but for now it's far from that, they need a lot of development and that seems to me to be normal, it's just a beta release, of course now chatgpt 4 has many more capabilities.

It's a bit like when the Internet started, just that now everyone gets the information in real time so it's all happening faster.

AI will be a defining moment in the history of technology, just as big as the Internet, the web 2.0, and smartphones.

Be ready to experience another bubble and start to live in a society that will be changed forever.

For example, can you imagine a society where you have to ask for directions?, or simply making a purchase without reading reviews online? Things will change when AI goes mainstream, and Microsoft is already starting that process by including chatGPT in their products.

Trying to get pleasure from gambling can indeed make us lose more money. And if that happens, we'll never realize it and maybe it won't be until after all the money is gone that we'll realize it and regret it. Having fun at gambling can be enjoyed if we can control the money so that there will be no regrets even though we have lost a few dollars. And it's best not to try to wait for luck by continuing to play because that could just use up the money we use. And we should have enough limits to stop before we experience more losses.

You can of course consider the money you lost as the payment for the fun. Like going to play arcade games for example.

But trying to recover the lost money by gambling more is probably one of the worst things you can do while gambling. It's a downward spiral from there.

If you do know on how to make use of it and treat it as a tool on gathering up information then it would really be useful into gamblers on which they could accumulate all the information in one go rather than on making up some scattered search which is something that i would say to be that convenient in our part which i do see the relevance of it existence on this part and would really be applied on this way
but making yourself that relying on AI when choosing up your selection or bets then it is something that not that reliable or something you could really be that able to rely or
wise to do so.There's no way an AI could predict on what happen on things which outcomes or results are totally that random or unpredictable due to some factors.

These days we rely a lot on the Internet.

Modern civilization cannot really work with an outage of electricity or Internet.

In a similar way, I can see that in the future we will have a lot of reliance upon these systems. It's just a continuation of centralization. Currently it is Google, Apple, etc, that most people rely upon to live their lives, but in the future this might change to other companies that control AIs.
1891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much these features weigh most when you choose your favorite casino? on: April 18, 2023, 01:51:17 AM
The biggest feature is being legit, all the rest is noise but the legit one is the most important feature. Because if I know that the place I am gambling at has absolutely no issues at all, then I would not be having type of trouble at all and I would be focusing a lot more on just gambling. However, if I am not fully certain about it, no matter what you offer to me, I am not going to be enjoying it fully with a scare that "what if they end up exit scamming?" and won't be giving my full self there.

This is why that's the most important thing, second is marketing, because just giving out stuff is not enough, you need to hear about it so if there is a bigger marketing budget, that does provide you something more. Third is the type of coins, because if they accept only a few that's not good, and fourth is type of games, because I like to gamble on different games.

Yeah, I agree.

But then you can have a legit casino that only has games with horrible odds, so yeah, you can withdraw at any time, but you will always lose a lot.

So there's also the need to have competitive game odds.
1892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince a sceptical person to buy Bitcoin ? on: April 18, 2023, 01:50:02 AM

If you wish to teach someone about bitcoin it is good to suggest them to go through few articles and other sources that make one learn about bitcoin. After that if they've learnt something and have interest to invest, then just guide them. We should never keep on insisting a person to use/invest in bitcoin.

When we think about making a person learn about bitcoin, the prime focus need to be on making the person buy a very small part, and further he/she will buy as she knows the real variation taking place with the investment.

Yeah, learning about Bitcoin is really learning about a lot of different things, economics, probabilities and software are just the beginning of a never ending path of learning.

At the end of the day I think people end up being a better person once they start learning about Bitcoin.
1893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Females domination in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies on: April 18, 2023, 01:47:20 AM
OP, It's  a nice thread you have raised, one which is seldom seen in the forum and I appreciate your attention to such recognition. But it should be noted that there are a numerous number of persons that have made great contributions in one way or the other to the development and spread of bitcoin and if we're to make mention of them all the list will be endless.

In other words, if we ain't hearing much about these women you OP mentioned and others like them then that doesn't mean they ain't celebrated and recognized in their own little space where they function. And no one can boldly say women are not part of the development and spread of bitcoin just because their names ain't among the notable few that are usually mentioned when talking about bitcoin.

Good point.

Also worth noting that in many cases we only know a username, so it's hard to know that we're talking about a woman or a man.

In any case, it doesn't really matter, all that matters is the content they share.

Well, if you come to play in reputable casinos, profits withdrawal will never be an issue. They will never do inconvenience on the part of the players that could cause to ruin their built reputation. That’s the reason why I put the casino’s reputation as the most important one. A casino that is considered reputable has always prefer to give satisfactory services to its players to retain its credibility.
And it is because of this that casinos do everything they can to protect their reputation, in a way it is interesting that while casinos have all kind of characteristics that we can measure, like the number of games they offer or the speed of their servers, at the end they depend on something intangible as their reputation to keep themselves in business.

As a casino which losses their reputation will find out that is incredibly difficult to survive in a competitive industry when many potential gamblers decide to not even try their casino due to their poor reputation.
[/quote]

I can imagine that they can always shut down if it gets too bad, and reopen with a fresh new image.

It looks like there are many new casinos all the time opening up, and there's little information to know if it the new ones are linked to any old ones.

Well, let's take the example of football. in football, it takes 11 players and each player plays their respective roles. when the two teams compete, strategies and coaches are needed. So, in theory, football involves many parties. one mistake made by a player, can be fatal for the team as a whole. as well as performance, performance plays an important role to be a measure in every consideration of our analysis assessment. besides that, the absence of several players can also have an impact on team performance.

Well, the question is, can AI explore all of that? Can Al predict accurately, I say no for now. why, because football doesn't only talk about data and statistics, but it's more complex than that. and it seems, the machine will not answer what we need regarding 100% correct predictions. if only to find data, information, and everything related to the two teams that will compete, it looks like we can rely on Al. yes, because, they are more efficient. to predict, I don't think so. so, overall I agree with what you said.

The thing is that you can combine a statistical AI that has all the previous information about the matches, players, etc, and starts the match with an idea, say team A has 80% chance of winning.

Then, while they are playing you can have an AI trained with computer vision to actually look at the performance of each player and see how things are going, in real time, and update the odds in real time.

Something like that would be really powerful and I think it might be already out there somewhere.

there is so much comparision about the Messi and Ronaldo
I think they are both superstar in their own life - they have influced the life of people and have struggled alot to acheieve this sucess

Every world cup has their own super stars.

They will always come and go.

Mbappe will probably be one of the super stars in the upcoming ones. He already did excellently well in the previous one.

And who know who else will shine this time around. Time to say goodbye to the old guard.
1897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince a sceptical person to buy Bitcoin ? on: April 17, 2023, 02:18:03 AM
Skeptical or not. We need to create awareness one way or the other. A skeptical person can be convinced.

It is okay to be skeptical. This is an investment and we should not just dive into any investment without critical thinking and personal research no matter how little, I will say do not be pushy because when you are pushy, it may send the wrong signal. Be a teacher, especially to some with zero knowledge of Bitcoin, not spoon-feeding tho or communicating the nitty-gritty but education. If you want me to invest, you need education me and this cuts across all investment classes.

Even a rigid can change their mind to buy. All investment has its advantages and disadvantages so it is important that we mention the pros and cons of Bitcoin. The most important thing here for me is that if you're skeptical, then do your personal research and see the success stories. Convincing a skeptical person is not a waste of time but a way to impart knowledge and awareness in this regard.

I see Bitcoin as a revolutionary investment.

It can be used to diversify more traditional assets.

There's no point in convincing people to get some Bitcoin really, in the same way that there's no reason to convince someone to buy some index funds.
1898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: April 17, 2023, 02:16:44 AM

You can of course play to enjoy some fun, but maths tell you that you're not going to win in the long term.
No gambler can win in the long term, friend, because victory can be obtained when luck is on your side, while luck cannot be obtained every time.
Maybe playing with limits and self-control can minimize the number of losses when no luck comes, but many people out there prefer to chase luck rather than waiting for the right time to get lucky.

Basically, strategy is just a small way to win but you are still at risk of losing, so no strategy is successful without the support of luck.

Yes, that is exactly what I wrote. That in the long term you are not going to win.

The thing is that if you do get lucky and win big, you need to stop gambling forever. That's the only way to actually win in gambling.

Yes, our world is equal, and there is no limit to this, but the reality is clear that the percentage of women involved in cryptocurrency or other forms of investment is lower than men. Check your friends list, how many women are investing, and how many men are investing. That is the most factual proof.

There are many ways to divide humanity. One is gender.

If you look at how many people in each country uses Bitcoin you will also find differences. Shall we push to have every country represented proportional to their population in Bitcoin?

If you look at ages of people you'll see that there's also a difference between age groups. Shall we push to have every age group represented equal?

What about height?, sexual preference?, color of skin?, or any other group that you can possibly imagine. Shall we try to keep everything represented equally in Bitcoin?

You will quickly realize that this is an impossible task.

Bitcoin is open to anyone, there is no ban or restriction to a specific group. Whoever is interested can be a part of it.

yes it is true, but if luck is on our side, but if not? maybe we will just continue to bet using all strategies to minimize losses when betting and sometimes these strategies will be destroyed when we fight our own emotions when we lose at gambling.
any strategy that is carried out if we cannot commit ourselves to controlling emotions, it will only be in vain.

As said in War Games, a great movie from 1983:
