1881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting around KYC on: May 19, 2023, 11:44:15 AM

What people are discuss about privacy matter is about submitting KYC on untrustworthy site and they show everyone if they have Bitcoin. Direct P2P with a stranger is safe as long as you meet in a crowd place and trade for little amount. It's more safer if Bitcoin adoption on that's country is already big, so it's already normal if someone have Bitcoin, not like people already think you're rich because you have Bitcoin.
I will not even engage in P2p in any public place. This option will be good for a country that has adequate security. In a country where there is a high rate of criminal activities this option will not be ideal. You can be robbed even in a market and the police will just be watching.

People are not well informed about Bitcoin in my country so each time they hear that you owned Bitcoin they think you own one and above of the currency. They are not aware that the currency can be owned in less than one unit. This means there is a public perception that any Bitcoin holder is a millionaire. The consequence is that you become a target to criminals. I check Agoradesk and I was pleased that they offer deals in my local currency and it is not compulsory to register by email. I might use their service in the future.
1882  Economy / Economics / Re: Helpful mineral resources on: May 17, 2023, 08:40:08 AM
Africans are blessed with a lot of minerals that if this resources are gainfully used for benefit of their citizens, this God given resources would add colours to Africans. Countries in Africans like Nigeria, Serial Leone, Ghana, kenya, south Africa and lots more you will a lot of natural resources either misused or abandon by government and even if they see need to use them, is either abused or mismanaged. Petrol in Nigeria till today is been refined outside country and still import back to Nigeria on a high price, lots of minerals like coals, salt, kerosene, gas, petroleum and so on but no appropriate handling of this resources, so even the citizens can not benefit from it. If Africa can make use of their resources well, they will be more independent, free from indebtedness and indirect colonial system of other countries.
Mineral resources are useless without human resources. Africa is blessed with natural resources but they lack the needed human resources. And the best personnel Africa needs is good political leadership. If the continent is ruled by right leaders it will lead to the development of economic manpower. The political class must make the right policies that will make Africa attract the right investors that will tap her rich resources. Africa needs foreign investments because the continent lacks the funding to turn its raw materials into finished products. Until this happens, Africa will continue to be a poor continent amid rich resources.
1883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: May 17, 2023, 07:44:11 AM
The victory in this match is indeed very important for Al-Nassr to maintain the difference in points with Al-ittihad so that it doesn't widen too much. And Al-Nassr was lucky because Al-ittihad actually only got a draw from the match against Al-Hilal who was indeed a very strong opponent. the difference of 3 points will still give hope for Al-Nassr to be able to overtake Al-ittihad. But if Al-ittihad doesn't make any mistakes until the end of the season then Al-Ittihad will officially hold the title this season.
Michael's 94th-minute goal brought hope to the Al-Hilal.
Al-Ittihad dominated the match and they were cruising to victory that would have given them five points advantage over Al-Hilal. But they lost concentration which led to that late goal. Al-Ta'ee was outplayed in the match but they managed to get a point from this match.  Al-Hilal's next game is against Al-Shabab who is seven points below Al-Hilal and will be looking forward to closing this point gap.

Nice to hear from you! Cristiano Ronaldo has certainly been making waves with his impressive performance. In his match against Al-Ta'ee, he managed to score his 5th penalty of the season, helping Al-Nassr stay in the title race. Interestingly, league leaders Al Ittihad dropped two points against Al Hilal, which means that Ronaldo and his team are only 3 points away from the top spot! It's going to be interesting to see how the league unfolds lately. If Al Ittihad continues to experience losses in their remaining three matches, it could make the competition even more exciting. For Al-Nassr to take advantage of this opportunity, they'll need to maintain their consistency and win their own three remaining matches then.
Ronaldo has become a penalty striker, maybe he will become the highest penalty goal scorer in the world. But he is having a good experience in the Saudi league netting 13 goals in 17 matches. It is not a bad result for him considering that it is his first season. It will be more competitive to see Messi in the league next season.
1884  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wearing Double signature (Shan85) on: May 17, 2023, 07:04:54 AM
Average income around the world. In Pakistan, it is about $1,470 annual or $123 monthly.
Cheating two campaigns brings a monthly salary that is doubled than Pakistanis' average income monthly.

Is there a place in the world you could lwhen poel ive like a king via sig campaigns?
Signature campaign: The lowest and highest payment BTC and USD in 2013-2022
I feel uncomfortable when people link crime with poverty. Hunger can indeed cause someone to engage in criminal activity but it is not an excuse. Everybody has other options to make money at least to feed. His problem was not poverty or the average income from Pakistan, he was just greedy. He can live a moderate life in Pakistan with what he earns but he chose to steal because he wants more. Some members will never engage in such shameful acts even if they are in deep poverty. What he did was shameful and has brought a bad name to his country but I know some wonderful Pakistanis that will even refund funds wrongly sent to them.
1885  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wrong Predictions as price keep failing! on: May 17, 2023, 06:26:02 AM
Nobody bitcoin price prediction has work this season, I told my friends early January that this year will still be difficult for bitcoin to rise since they're still blocks on digestive and ingestive policies of government, why bitcoin should not stay by government. But they argued me to a fault but I knew bitcoin will not gets to $40k this year. The price will definitely rise but not at the moment. Do you predict the price to any level year?
OP you said nobody's bitcoin price prediction has been accurate this year but you are predicting that the price will not get to $40k this year. I think you are contradicting yourself. I have stooped discussing Bitcoin with most people in my area because we have so many critics and skeptics. For me, the price of Bitcoin is unpredictable because the global economy is ever-dynamic. Nobody expected the war in Ukraine and the collapse of many exchanges last year. These two events affect the price of Bitcoin last year. This year I didn't expect that some major banks in the world will go bankrupt.

Nobody predicted the rise in the transaction fees of Bitcoin. We don't know the next economic event so we are just hopeful. Investing in Bitcoin is having confidence that it will overcome all economic problems that it will encounter.
1886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is something wrong with understanding Bitcoin on: May 17, 2023, 06:01:39 AM

In conclusion, the level of people's trust in fiat from ancient times to very low. People are willing to work hard to earn fiat currency and convert into this type of investment.
People had confidence and were willing to receive fiat in exchange for goods and services because it was backed by the government. They had no option because it was the only means to survive in society. But Bitcoin is here to change the narrative. Bitcoin is giving people a decentralized way of carrying out financial transactions. Unlike fiat Bitcoin, It is giving people the right to privacy and freedom from government control.

Those who understand Bitcoin, including its volatility and choose to invest in Bitcoin, are very easy to panic about the price, even though Bitcoin has been proven to be a future investment choice. There must be something wrong with them.

Anyone that understands the volatility and decides to buy it is prepared to face the unpredictability of the market. The price of Bitcoin might be volatile but it is far better than some currencies that have lost so much value over the years. New investors are always fearful because they don't have experience with the working of bitcoin but they will get used to the space with time.
1887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to withdraw money from crypto.com? on: May 16, 2023, 05:42:26 PM
I understand that this is your first post and you would like to help but I would not start by saying how to make a withdrawal from a CEX, on the contrary you really advise against using centralized exchange platforms because sooner or later they will all end up the same.  Rather start buying from bisq and keep everything in your private keys.
I guess he is a promoter of crypto.com. Maybe he was paid to do this publicity. If this post was just OP's contribution to the forum, then it shows that he needs to read more and post less. I know that some newbies are well-grounded in the crypto space but I expect every newbie in the industry to take time and learn about the forum before making any post. I have seen many threads where newbies complain of not having merits and this kind of post is one of the reasons for such an experience. Almost everyone in this forum is aware of the dangers of CEX, especially after the fall of many perceived reputable ones last year.
1888  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: May 16, 2023, 04:55:49 PM
I believe the main point of this thread is to check the negative impact of using credit card since he wants to get the benefits by using it on a casino. I don’t see any info regarding having an edge when using credit rather than the bonus which his friends told.

This thread purposed is just an inquiry for possible negative outcome when using credit card. I doubt OP will stop using credit card when reading some warning here since he have a friend that keeps encouraging him to use it.  Cheesy
Some casinos that offer enticing bonuses use it as a trap to attract gamblers. I am not comfortable using my credit card for online transactions especially if it is not a reputable one. I will never do such if the casino is a new one because they can be fraudulent. You can deposit funds and they disappear the next minute.

This kind of casino can also be designed to steal or have access to the data or pin of the card. But another way of minimizing the loss is to have a special account solely opened for this kind of deposit. I will ensure that the funds in the account will be very minimal. These bonuses can also lead to gambling addiction because gamblers might be moved to gamble more because of these bonuses.
1889  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: One beauty of heirachy in Bitcoin forum. on: May 16, 2023, 08:17:55 AM
My respects  and appreciation goes out to us too, I didn't mean to leave us out of the bracket. Am glad no one distinct ranked member knows it all, thus the importance of each member.
I also am reminded of how rank is not necessary for comments and discussion in threads and posts, but its main reason is for campaigns and marketplace. Thanks again. I appreciate.
The beauty of the forum is that it gives every member equal opportunity to express themselves. Newbies and other low-ranked members can contribute to threads without discrimination. Low-ranking members also receive the same recommendation and rewards as high-ranking members if their contributions are exceptional. But this will not push aside the fact that most high-ranking members are more knowledgeable. So it will not be wrong to state that these high-ranking members have been a source of help and support to newbies in the beginners and help sections. Their wealth of experience make them versatile in multiple areas of Bitcoin giving them an edge over most low-ranked members.
1890  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 16, 2023, 06:56:24 AM
Everyone wants to become rich. That is possible through more than one streams of income. I often say to my colleagues that if you are less than 40 and only reliant on your salary income, then you are not using your time wisely.

Even though we work the same hours, most wealthy individuals I know have many sources of income, which should tell you something. Make prudent investments in small businesses here and there. In addition to what you already know, pick up a new expertise and turn it into a side business. Between the ages of 20 and 40, you must push yourself to you limit to see what is financially possible for you.
These wealthy people might not necessarily be in charge of these businesses they have because they have mastered the art of partnership. Immediately they identify an opportunity in an area they seek partnership with other businessmen. They don't need to be present to run the business because other partners will run and give an account of the business transactions. Age 40 shouldn't be seen as the end of business opportunities for individuals because I have seen much older people starting and running successful businesses.

If in the past we wanted to increase wealth, we had to work or do business in real terms, but today's world does provide opportunities for those who have capital to develop this money, investment offers that provide large profits are of course an easy thing, it's only natural that with large capital then we easily have a business by buying shares.
For those who don't have the means of raising capital, they have to work hard. This is because it is difficult to access loans or other credit facilities if you don't have collateral. In my country banks will always require landed properties or buildings before they can be given loans. And most people don't have such an investment. This is why the poor or less privileged will have to raise capital by doing petty businesses or conventional jobs.
1891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet is one limitation of bitcoin on: May 16, 2023, 06:14:14 AM
Internet services now resumed in the country but social media services are still down in the country. But there is a fix to that we are using vpn to sccess Social media.
The situation in your country has shown that for now, the government has absolute control over the internet in some countries. This fact portrays that they can control the use of bitcoin within these nations since bitcoin relies on the Internet. This situation will force Bitcoiners to flee the country or seek other means of doing bitcoin transactions.

I am not tech-savvy but I think this is the best time to start researching and seeking other means of connecting to the bitcoin without the internet or bypassing government connections. The Internet is too important to be placed in the hands of self-seeking politicians because they will always seek centralization. And if they observe that they cannot stop Bitcoin, they might result to cutting off the internet.
1892  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational Parade on: May 15, 2023, 08:48:36 PM
I also think that such parades do not help to reduce gambling addiction among the population, on the contrary, it can draw attention to gambling to those who are far from it. Very often an anti-advertisement is a good advertisement for a certain circle of people. At least I am sure that such a parade will definitely attract the attention of teenagers, and they are likely to misunderstand such an initiative.
The positive impact might not be immediate but few persons might have understood and received the message of this parade. Gambling addiction has ruined the financial and social lives of some people therefore any effort to reduce this addiction is highly acceptable. Planning and engaging in a campaign against gambling addiction is capital-intensive, but this parade is cheaper to organize and it attracted many local inhabitants. Dramatizing the information will help in making the target audience understand the message faster. Another feature that mad this parade unique is that it used local content for the parade. The costume and characters are from the locals thereby making the parade more interesting and catchy.
1893  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 15, 2023, 06:19:52 PM
There is an opinion that the more money you spend, the more you get in return, it is interesting to find out who really works in this direction.

This assumption that you get more when you spend more is based on superstition and religious beliefs. The preacher will tell you that when you give more you receive more rewards from the Creator or nature. This assumption is valid in the religious palace which is why most religious people give to the church and charity. But in the economic or business world, your ability to cut costs and save profit is the pathway to growth and prosperity. If you spend above your profit or income you will end up consuming your capital or end up in debt.

Quote
I spend enough money, but I have a fixed income, therefore I will not be able to get more. I don't have rich relatives, and I don't expect an inheritance either. I want to get rich, not to deny myself, but I have to save on everything. Who really faced big expenses and received even more? How does it work, maybe I don't understand the essence of it correctly?
As much as you are not depriving yourself of basic needs, I encourage you to keep saving. Don't keep your savings in fiat because of inflation and the devaluation of some local currencies. Ensure you have targets or a saving plan. Immediately it gets to a certain amount use the funds to invest in a like bitcoin. It might be challenging now but you will benefit in the future.
1894  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How old are you now in bitcoin investment? on: May 15, 2023, 05:55:18 PM
When did you start your bitcoin investment? Some people are now grandpa's in bitcoin community. Although it doesn't really matter when you heard about bitcoin, but what you've achieved through bitcoin. Is bitcoin helpful to you all this while? Or you've quit from bitcoin as a result of ugly experience? Let's discuss
I am about two years in the Bitcoin environment so I don't have as much experience as the grandfathers and mothers in the forum. I started investing in Bitcoin this year and was always looking at my wallet during the bear and mini-bull run this year. But I am a more confident investor now and a believer in bitcoin. I have not achieved much since I am new but I have accumulated a few sats. I am hoping to keep adding until I gain my targeted profit. Bitcoin has instilled in me the habit of saving. I had to cut some expenses because I want to add to my investment. For now, no ugly experience, and I hope not to encounter one yet.
1895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2.4% People from Bangladesh Hold Cryptocurrency on: May 15, 2023, 05:32:35 PM
According to the worlddata.info, the average inflation rate of Bangladesh from 1987 to 2022 is 6.5% per year and there has been a continuous increase in the price of goods. What cost 100 takas in 1987 cost 889.06 takas at the beginning of this year which is a 789.06℅ increase. Keeping or saving the local currency is a poor financial decision because it will lose value in a few years. The people of Bangladesh see bitcoin as a true hedge against inflation that's why they are using and investing in bitcoin.

Commercial Banks in Bangladesh are not healthy and cannot be trusted. Most of them are suffering from the effect of financial irregularities and bad debt. People prefer to be their own bank because these banks are not trustworthy and Bitcoin and others are the best and easiest options.

1896  Economy / Economics / Re: Bravo: Ron DeSantis bans CBDCs on: May 14, 2023, 07:13:52 PM
I personally don't have any issue with CBDCs except for abuse, if used right it can help the financial system of any country but the abuse of it by a country like China is what is of concern to me. The question I asked myself about this legislation is that if another Governor who wants CBDCs comes to power won't they change the legislation? This is a temporal measure what needs to be done is to educate the people about the benefits and abuse that can come with the adoption of CBDCs, if people are aware of the danger they will rise up because whether we like it or not CBDCs are coming because almost all countries are developing and trying to experiment with it

I am not also against CBDCs because it's just like fiat on blockchains. But I am I am concerned when it is used as an investment to distract or force people to abstain from using bitcoin. Most governments introduce these CBDCs because they are scared that their citizens will ditch the local currency. Let every citizen be given the privileged to choose the currency they want to use without being forced by the government.

Ron DeSantis's support for Bitcoin seemed to be growing. He is a supporter of privacy and freedom which is why he is against CBDCs. I think the federal government will have to seek redress in court if they want to stop the enforcement of this policy. And Bitcoin will receive a more friendly relationship with the US if he wins the presidential election. But he has to defeat the undisputed heavyweight of the Republicans: Trump.
1897  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is going to be the faith of other currencies in time to come. on: May 14, 2023, 06:51:43 PM
A time will come when people will stick to that which is convenient and can be sent anywhere in the world without having issues of conversion or currency preference, local fiat currency might be reserved for domestic transactions but international transactions might see an increase in crypto usage. If our fiat system fails to improve crypto will definitely take up greater percent of the financial market, The crypto world is constantly evolving and with the ease to which p2p is conducted it might get more adoption in the future.

I think Bitcoin and fiat will exist side by side for a long time. Adoption will also be gradual but consistent. Most economically advanced countries will be the first to massively adopt bitcoin while adoption in underdeveloped nations will be slow because of poverty, lack of infrastructure, and illiteracy. The citizens in these underdeveloped are limited by basic infrastructures such as electricity and internet facilities. This means that Bitcoin adoption will not happen at the same time globally, it will be relative.

The type of leadership will to a large extent determine bitcoin adoption. Authoritarian nations would keep on restricting their citizens from using the currency while democratic nations will give their citizens more freedom to use Bitcoin.
1898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: May 14, 2023, 06:01:24 PM
The match between Monaco against Lille looks like it will end in a goalless draw, but based on statistics at least Lille has slightly better statistics than Moncao's home team. In my opinion, it's only natural that Lille can play more aggressively in this match, because Lille still really needs three points to make the gap a little wider with Rennes.

Because at this moment Lille's position is still very unsafe, because Lille only has a 1 point gap with Rennes and if in the next match Lille loses and Rennes wins then Lille will fail to finish in the top five. So yes, Lille needs full points in this match but at the same time, Monaco also has to maintain its place in fourth place to get a Europa League ticket and that makes it difficult for Lille to win this away match.
The match ended in a goalless draw but LOSC was the better team. They had more shots on target and controlled the game. Both teams still maintained their position in the Ligue 1 but Lille is just one point above Rennes. This entails that Lille might lose their chances of playing in the Europa Conference League. Their next game will be at home with Olympique de Marseille. Marseille is in the third position making them a Europa League candidate but they have not also lost hope of getting a champions league slot. So Lille will have to put up a good performance to win the game on the 20th.
1899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Third graders and Bitcoin on: May 14, 2023, 05:40:11 PM
I had a math class with third graders of which we discussed money I told them about virtual and real money of which I was very shocked and happy that they had knowledge about Bitcoin.
However we ended the class after we had spoken alot about Bitcoin they were soo happy and loved the class also
Like wow being with the kids was a nice time for them and I to get to know Bitcoin better look forward to having a class with them next week
Third graders are between the ages of 7-9year. It is not a bad idea to introduce Bitcoin to them as a currency and highlight some of the benefits of Bitcoin. It will also be nice to relate some maths topic that deals with investment to Bitcoin during classes. But arranging a class to teach them about Bitcoin is going to the extreme. Children at this stage should focus on their school scheme of work and building interpersonal skills. Children should be allowed to build their cognitive and emotional lives. They should be allowed to enjoy their childhood by playing games and relaxing with friends. You have good intentions, but I think it is not the right time for the children to be exposed to Bitcoin.
1900  Economy / Economics / Re: 199,983 companies went bankrupt in Europe because of the energy crisis in 2022 on: May 13, 2023, 11:03:39 PM
The effect of the war in Ukraine didn't only affect business in Europe and America negatively, it affected the entire world. In Africa, many businesses crumbled and there was a high rate of unemployment. Even the news outlet that OP references agreed that the major reason for this business bankruptcy is not only the energy crisis but the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic. Businesses were just gradually recovering from the pandemic before the war broke out. In my country, the price of oil and gas has stabilized and I also heard that Europe has discovered other sources of importing oil and gas.
