1882  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: online wallet support private key on: December 13, 2016, 05:03:56 PM
Like what they said you should opt for those desktop wallets and not those online ones. Its much safer and easier to manage. I personally use bither. It's easy to use and easy to import private keys. Another feature is that you can see all the addresses you generated and imported on the wallet. I used another wallet before where I don't see previous wallets I used. It only showed the total amount of bitcoins I had there. I didn't like that that's why I am using bither.
1883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you want to become Rich you need to Put Higher bets on: December 13, 2016, 04:26:28 PM
Is it really true that if someone want to earn big from gambling he need to make a higher bets? Yes he can also loose but if he is lucky enough he can earn big amounts too. People can not make profits with lower bet amounts like .05 etc. you need a higher amounts bets.
It is not true that if you are going to make a higher bets there are chance that you could get lose instantly and lose everything you had if you are lucky enough then why don't try to risk all your moeny in single bet? Lmao this doesn't make any sense lol if you really want to make profit work for it work hard.
yeah , if you feel you are confident enough to win a bet , why not just to go allin instead just increase the bet amount? or just simply bet lower but with a proper way to manage your bankroll? i prefer to use a second option to bet lower but with a good management. not to gamble random and blindly.
We already know about that, impossible to get many profits if you bet with small amount of your funds.
But I think there is one game to win big deal without big bet such as lottery due to many people involved in the game.
I prefer to use small bet and long games instead of higher bets and lose too much, anyway I didn't planned to become rich by gambling just a fun game sometimes.

But in lottery the reason why it has a very low bet is that the chances of winning is extremely low. It is actually not fair to gamble on lottery because the odds of winning does not really show an equally or near to the amount of risk you have vs the amount of money you may possibly win.  Gambling low or high, the risk is the same. If you gamble you risk of losing even if you wage higher.
1884  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Horse Racing on: December 13, 2016, 03:38:10 PM
Hi Everyone,

This is good feedback and it is appreciated, that is the general info I was given by the guys at John Flynn.

I know they are used to dealing with high-roller players but I am 100% sure if you send them an email client@johnflynnbookmakers.eu, they will set up an account for less with lower minimums stakes.

Good luck!

Francis

Well, as a representative of that company you should have an initiative to inform the management that their plans in the bitcoin world is not possible. Bitcoin gamblers are fond of gambling at small amounts and you might even earn more from this than just targeting big fish. The cryptocurrency is quite a large market for gambling and I think you should exploit it.
1885  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Horse Racing on: December 13, 2016, 02:50:35 PM
Why there is really huge for minimum deposit? Every deposit should be ok if you are going to open a new site. Dont think that it will really attract people around here because of that huge deposit and minimum bet. Horse racing is really attractive game to bet but when it has some minimum bet or deposit, this will have some less attraction

Minimum deposit is 0.5BTC. That's a lot to deposit as your initial deposit. Also per bet the minimum is 0.05BTC. Op, you should just advertise this as a high roller's gambling site. There is no way normal gamblers will use this website if the stakes are so high. I understand that this website does not do races every minute, but this isn't going to attract a lot of customers to your site.
1886  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that you're addicted to gambling? on: December 13, 2016, 04:08:01 AM
I got addicted to dice back in 2015 and early 2016. But I got over it when I realized I burned through half of my savings. Was a tough time for me admitting I am addicted to gambling. I always said to myself, "nah, I'm just gambling a few dollars and I just need to get back some dollars I lost." Until, I realized I lost $2,000 already just getting back that $100 is lost.
1887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why don't play in our game? on: December 12, 2016, 05:18:14 PM
Honestly, I can't understand the game works, means the things is very grey-blur, just send a some amount and waiting for the result without I don't know the process, I can't afford to lose even for a little dust.

Plus your site is not makes me good enough to play around with, the security and the credibility is things I need to considering.
Exactly my point. There is no clear document that would teach potential members how to play. All it says is like this, 1. Deposit, 2. Wait to win, 3. Wait for us to send you the winnings or you lose try again. All that happened was I deposited without even knowing what I deposited in. That's a scary game. Also, the site is quite shady in my opinion. Too much grammatical errors and there aren't quite enough security measures in place.
1888  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where would you invest if you had 40$/day ? on: December 12, 2016, 04:56:17 PM
Imagine you had a daily income of 40$ each day in bitcoin, what would do with them and where would you invest them ?

Bitcoin itself is a big investment then why should i go for other way of investing , instead of that i will start my own lending bitcoin business through which i can earn 10% on the loan with collateral and be happy with it.

Lending is not the most profitable business. Most probably you'll lose more than gain anything in lending in the forums. I see a lot of lenders have defaulted clients and the collateral was bitcoin accounts. I think these accounts are worthless. Why should someone pay for another account? Also, this forum does not really ban it but it is frowned upon. I saw this lender Gunthar, I think, he just has the defaulted collateral red tagged by DT members and just leave the collateral. That means that he lost money there since he did not liquidate the collateral that covered the loan.

Maybe a good investment is just buy bitcoin itself. More reliable than anything else available.
1889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why don't play in our game? on: December 12, 2016, 02:57:48 PM
The reason why I don't play on your gambling site is that I don't understand how it works! Sure you have "how to play," but it doesn't actually teach me how to play it. I only gave me an information on how to deposit. The whole website is in disarray. You have to employ more people to help you with english translation. I see you are not a native english speaker, but this is not excuse for your gambling site. You have to make your patrons understand how you gambling site works. And you have to do it in a clean and clear manner. Which your site has failed to do.
1890  Economy / Speculation / Re: All it's going to take is ONE user-friendly, practical App on: December 12, 2016, 02:44:48 PM
Ok you guys are right.... what was I thinking? A viral app with Bitcoin integration would do nothing to promote Bitcoin. Forget I even said anything.

Your passive aggressive statement reminds me of my mother.

A Bitcoin killer app would be awesome, AFTER we get the scaling problems addressed.  If Bitcoin killer app happened now, you will have a ton of excited, eager noobs trying out Bitcoin for the 1st time.  They'll read all the advice, do their first transaction, including the recommended fee and.... BAM! Confirmation times of days or weeks, or not at all.

So many will quit in frustration, it would be very BAD for Bitcoin.

And you can't just say 'increase your fee'.  It doesn't work that way because you'll have millions of people all competing for same limited amount of block space available,  1MB every 10 minutes.  The miners will like it though.

True enough that would be a great hindrance for our killer game. A better way probably is to make a game that they would use an online wallet where if they send funds to similar people within the online wallet there would be no actually bitcoin transaction but merely a fund transfer. So as not to clog the blockchain and inevitable increase the fees. But the problem with it is that the users will not actually experience bitcoin in its full glory.
1891  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I have $20 PP need $16 BTC on: December 12, 2016, 06:52:18 AM
I'm not sure about this, I want to know also, but I think if you send money through paypal using send money to friends and family the sender cannot reverse the transaction. I hope someone can confirm if its true. If it is, I can probably help you out OP. I heard many bad experience and stories from other exchanges here that they got scammed because their clients did a charge back on the funds sent to PP.

Yes people have reversed transactions even if they were "friends and family" as they just tell PayPal their account was hacked and they never sent any money.

Hence why I've just said PayPal exchanges are generally only between trusted members who have felt before and know each other.

Damn, so PP is really out of the questions with regard currency exchange. Was hoping for a positive answer from someone. But this would change my mind selling to OP. I wanted to sell some BTC for paypal, but it seems that even sending to friends and family is not also an option. Maybe I'll just sell to someone with high trust. Good luck to OP though.

1893  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where would you invest if you had 40$/day ? on: December 11, 2016, 03:01:32 PM
I would invest it in a ponzi. Just kidding. Avoid ponzis at all cost. They will rob you of your money. (Trust me. I gained $300 and lost more that what I gained).

If I had $40 a day (that's a lot based on my country's daily wage and versus my own salary), I would invest $10 a day on bitcoins and the $20 on blue chip companies and the last $10 I will save it in a bank to pool it and be able to create my own business (probably a business that would accept bitcoins then my sign board would say "Accepting Bitcoins: Fueling the future." Dreams...)
1894  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: swapping gold for bitcoins when you travel? on: December 11, 2016, 07:22:41 AM
OP, I don't think you have fully understood bitcoin yet. You better do a bit of research first before dealing with anybody regarding bitcoin. And why are you asking can it be traded for gold when crossing the boarder? Are you on the run? And you need to trade your stolenhard earned gold over the boarders?

If you want those traded, then probably you have to first put all your gold on a trading platform or sell it to one, and just buy bitcoins. I think you will have problems finding a person that would trade directly for your gold and his bitcoin.
1895  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Skrill now lets you upload money via bitcoin on: December 11, 2016, 06:08:24 AM
Oh I see that coming Cheesy and Philippines also one of countries that selected to upload in skrill via bitcoin as what I see in my skrill. Its really amzing that this big companies are slowly adopting bitcoin. We'll see the good future of bitcoin. Grin

The issue is that while they do accept it, all they are doing is turning it back into fiat (selling it) most likely. That means when you buy BTC, you push the price up, when you convert it through Skrill, it gets pushed back down (in theory). But it does push the idea that it's a currency, rather than investment vehicle.

Regardless, having skrill accept bitcoin opens a lot of opportunities for Bitcoin itself. If bitcoin is successfully integrated and adopted by skrill this event can be a good precedent for other companies to accept bitcoin. If paypal will follow skrill that would be a major leap for bitcoin's acceptance. Buying and selling or investing doesn't matter, it's a good thing.
1896  Economy / Economics / Re: Italian Banks-Crash is Coming on: December 11, 2016, 04:30:57 AM
The problem is it's not just any one country but on a global scale where these predictions are coming. I've seen the same thing said for America and many other European countries. When will people learn that all fiat is the same!

Whatever happens in 2017 I hope bitcoins go on a wild ride (up Wink)!

We make so much speculation regarding bitcoins and the current financial markets of the whole world, but lets first remember that Bitcoins are not even 1% of the financial market of the whole world (or even the US). I don't think any of these are yet to be really connected with the rise of bitcoin. Probably only  partially as maybe those who distrust banks has been moving to other securities like bitcoin.
1897  Economy / Speculation / Re: All it's going to take is ONE user-friendly, practical App on: December 10, 2016, 04:23:24 PM
Maybe we should make a viral game? Like flappy bird that will get the whole world hooked in the game. Then probably we can get a lot of people to know and understand bitcoin. The pokemon go app is a no go with us because it is under licenses of corporations that we could not touch. An easier route is that flappy bird game. We just need a potential viral idea!
1898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is better? To gamble or to invest? on: December 10, 2016, 04:04:51 PM
Some people see investing as gambling since the risks are high to. In my opinion, it's kind of true. Gambling is just a faster game than investing. Since in gambling you see the results instantly unlike in investing, it takes time to see if your investment has increased or decreased. In investments, you wager your money into something so it's like gambling.
1899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If a person has millions of Bitcoin and he dies one day................. on: December 10, 2016, 03:36:41 PM
It will be good if the bitcoin from the dead person can't be take, it will increase btc price 😄😄

It would definitely affect the BTC price if a person has millions of Bitcoins, but actually I think that such a person doesn't exists. Most of the early adopters sold their coins at $200 or even at a lesser price because they were already profiting big time.
Probably you must be right. Still we can see many of early bitcoins were remaining unmoved. It means they maybe waiting for some more huge price levels or they have sold out the private-key by trusting the seller (as they were early adopters).

Why not we assume that person has dominated his assets and the new owner is just waiting for main stream adoption of bitcoins.
It would take a special kind of person to not sell those coins at 100 or 200 dollars, those wallets are most likely not accessible anymore.
I don't even expect Satoshi's coins to move at all.

What if satoshi planned this a long long time ago. He predicted that his creation will become a real hit and he's just waiting for it to reach a certain peak before he sells everything he has. The problem here really is when millions of wallets just becomes dormant forever. I mean think about it, what if every wallet that goes dormant has around 1 to 100 satoshi only, multiply this by one million times a year. That would be a lot of coins that will be stuck forever in dormant wallets.
1900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency [ICO Live] on: December 10, 2016, 03:14:13 PM
The ICO looks good, but I would feel more confortable with more exchanges.
You know, better too many than too few. And I guess that the smaller exchanges are not hard to reach..

True, the more people that trade the coin the more active it is. If we can establish Bitconnect as one of the most traded coin in the market then we might be able to rival other coins like lite and doge as one of the famous and trusted coins in the market. I don't know much about how coins get into trading platforms, but how hard will it be if we would have it traded in the big trading platforms?
