1881  Economy / Gambling / Re: crash game some new ideas on: May 10, 2022, 05:45:27 AM

First , you can control the game time!
you could choose to open a new game anytime, and control the game time like 30mins or 1hour, why do that? you could take the winner profits 1~5% as fee
its like, i join your game room ,play the crash, the game is 0 edge to me but just  in 30mins or 1hour,i don’t know i will win  or not , if i win , maybe 100 usd, i will pay u 1~5 usd as fee , i think its ok , If i lose 100usd,i think the game is fair to me , i just lose to the 0 edge game, that ok right?

Seems like a dumb idea to me.
What if the users create multiple accounts by using VPNs or residential proxies,so that they could bypass this rule?Spending more resources to implement this "time limit" rule and trying to stop the players from bypassing it and exploiting the crypto casino would make the entire business model unprofitable.
Crash games simply work,I'm not a big fan of crash games, but they work.If something works, why bother changing it?Such changes would make the crash games less desirable by the gamblers and the crypto casinos would lose money.
1882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a safe haven??? on: May 10, 2022, 05:24:39 AM
Bitcoin is NOT a safe heaven, but Bitcoin can become a safe heaven,if you HODL it long enough.
Bitcoin doesn't act like a safe heaven in the short term, but in the long term(if the BTC price really moves in cycles and if we witness another ATH somewhere around the next BTC halving)we might see a big growth in both the value and price of BTC.
In conclusion, this question doesn't have a simple answer.
At the end of the day,Bitcoin might be a safe heaven, but with a really volatile price, which means that BTC is completely different than the traditional safe heavens like gold, real estate, etc.
1883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 09, 2022, 11:59:15 AM
I think that Real Madrid has a hard time winning against English teams. They win against English teams in two games, but will they be able to win in only one match.
They've won against Chelsea in the first game, but at "Santiago Bernabeu",Chelsea was leading 3-0 10 minutes before the end and Real was pretty close to getting kicked out of the tournament.
Manchester City destroyed Real at Etihad stadium, but they missed a lot of goal opportunities,so Real Madrid survived.Real Madrid won't have a second chance against Liverpool. The winner will be decided in 90 minutes(or maybe 120 minutes). The Liverpool attack players are unstoppable.
If the Liverpool defenders manage to block Benzema,Vinicius and the "golden goose" Rogrigo,Real Madrid simply won't be able to score a goal.
1884  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Influential Social Networks on: May 09, 2022, 11:35:46 AM
Mass “maneuver” networks or current social networks can be used to boost or defame a currency (crypto). Overall, is it beneficial to use monetary investment in social media to increase the value of a cryptocurrency? Even at the risk of defamation by the network itself?

What do you mean by "monetary investment in social media"?Do you mean buying Ads or paying social media influencers for promotion?I would say yes,it is worth it,but only if we are talking about the promotion of a legit crypto product or service, not cryptocurrencies.Using social media to build hype and pump the value of a cryptocurrency seems kinda sketchy to me.
Lots of shitcoin/NFT scams were promoted via paid social media influencers and I'm sure that the social networks will take some action to stop the promotion of shitcoin scams.
1885  Economy / Gambling / Re: I miss the old OnChain gambling on: May 09, 2022, 06:24:08 AM
I remember satoshimines, where you didn't have to create an account,in order to bet.
Anyway,I don't think that these crypto gambling games were better than the current crypto casinos.
Registering an account isn't such a big deal.KYC is the big problem for many gamblers, but we have to abide by the rules.Nowadays,I would rather gamble on a legit regulated online casino, that has KYC verification, rather than having trust in a non-regulated gambling website, where you could just send your coins and lose them forever.I'm sure that such onchain gambling websites still exist, but who is gambling there? The amount of gamblers isn't very big,I guess.

Bitcoin is worthless because there's no backing, unlike with fiat that is backed by states.
It just uses electricity and doesn't give anything back, it wastes energy.
Most of it is owned by just a few addresses so they decide if you win or lose.
It's going to 0 because it's a bubble like tulips and it's even smaller in size than tulips were.
It failed in El Salvador because nobody uses it, people just wanted free coins and stopped using Chivo when they got their coins out.
Only poor countries that don't know how to handle inflation will adopt bitcoin because they're out of ideas.
It lost so much value in the last year so it's not a hedge against anything. Gold lost less so it's a better hedge

The sad truth is that all those points kinda make sense, especially if you are new to the crypto world.
All those points are valid, but that still doesn't mean that Bitcoin is worthless.
I won't advocate on the NFT industry. The NFT model is pretty new.It might fail miserably,or it might survive and thrive in the future.Nobody knows what will happen.
I know that many "internet communities" are pretty toxic and negative about everything.Just check out some subreddits on Reddit or some Discord servers. The internet is full of resentful incels and angry teenagers, who want to shit on everything, just because their own life sucks.
1887  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stability of bitcoin on: May 08, 2022, 11:11:29 AM
What will be the faith of bitcoin users if the value of bitcoin becomes stable in May 2022, a lot of prediction has been made in recent years on the rising and falling of bitcoin?
Must there be a rising and falling of crypto before the market can work effectively

What do you mean by the market working effectively?Isn't the current Bitcoin market working effectively?
I think that having price volatility is a proof that the BTC market is effective-lots of people are buying, other people are selling, the price is moving up and down, because the buy and sell orders cannot be balanced all the time.
It has been stated many times on the forum, that a stable Bitcoin price cannot be achieved.
Even if this is theoretically possible,it will simply make Bitcoin boring and a lot of traders/investors will leave the BTC market.
1888  Economy / Economics / Re: Solution to unemployment: creating new jobs or early retirement on: May 08, 2022, 10:55:05 AM
Lowering the age of retirement puts at risk the social insurance systems.
An increased amount of retired people increases the costs while a decreased amount of active workers decreases the revenue of the social insurance funds.
Creating government jobs is not a good long term solution for lowering the unemployment rates, because it makes many people dependent of the government and it also increases the budget deficits(while most governments in the rich developed countries have gigantic national debts).
The only way to lower the unemployment rates is to incentivize the private sector to create new jobs.
I don't know if this is possible, because the electricity and oil/gas prices will be going up.
We might enter a period of stagflation and unemployment rates will inevitably go up.
1889  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbooks offering Cycling? on: May 08, 2022, 05:46:10 AM
What makes cycling a better sport than other "pathetic sports nobody knows exist"?
Can you mention a few of those "pathetic sports"?I highly doubt that the bookies would choose to accept bets for sports that aren't popular, because there would be no demand for those sports.
You seem kinda angry. Were you scammed by a sports betting platform?
I'm not a fan of cycling. It seems boring to me.Maybe you are a fan of this sport and you know which cyclist would win at every tournament.Your question can be answered by a simple Google search, but I guess that you want feedback from other people, who bet on cycling.Good luck with finding the best sports betting platform.
1890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Women's participation into cryptospace - Increased? on: May 08, 2022, 05:21:11 AM
The idea of "meaningfully changing the financial security of their families" by investing in crypto seems kinda wrong to me.
Crypto is everything else but financially secure. The crypto prices are extremely volatile and crypto industry is filled with scams. The entire crypto industry is actually quite the opposite of "financially secure".
It's actually very risky and I wouldn't recommend someone(it doesn't matter male or female) to jump right away and invest his/her life savings into cryptocurrencies.
There's nothing wrong with more women joining the crypto world, but they have learn a lot before putting any money into the game of crypto trading.
1891  Economy / Economics / Re: Get, Save & Invest. on: May 06, 2022, 10:45:45 AM
Get Money - Save money - Invest money.
Follow the cycle and don't stop half way.

Follow the cycle, don't stop halfway at saving money.

OP,you sound like one of the "make money online" gurus, who is teaching really basic stuff(common sense),but it's being presented as some kind of deep and groundbreaking wisdom. Grin
You sound like the guy,who says to a homeless man "Don't have a home?Just buy a house." Grin
Don't have money?Just get money-save money-invest-money. Grin
The real problem is how to make money, not how to save and invest them.A poor/unemployed person doesn't care about saving/investing,because he doesn't have money to save and invest.
1892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: California to encourage companies to deal in cryptocurrency? on: May 06, 2022, 05:26:39 AM
Well, it's California, the home of Silicon Valley. It can't be laggard in terms of the latest technologies. It can't be the one to stall its growth. And whether the governor isn't familiar or isn't a fan of crypto, he simply can't go against the entire spirit of the state, although it is a bit ironic that the bill to accept crypto for state services failed to gain approval.

Anyway, more often than not, to encourage, and both adaption and adoption, are equated with regulation. Acceptance is almost always equated with putting up policies and frameworks and rules and guidelines.

The Silicon Valley isn't what it used to be.Nowadays, states like Texas are more high tech friendly than California.
The leftist liberals can ruin everything they touch.
Anyway,I'm not optimistic about this "mass crypto adoption" thing. It's not like an avalanche of companies would adopt crypto payments, right after certain regulations are being imposed.
It's good to have a clear regulatory frame, but the impact of such new regulations is questionable.
I don't expect California to become "the crypto state" or "the Mecca of blockchain technology".
1893  Economy / Speculation / Re: Future prospects for bitcoin on: May 05, 2022, 11:11:16 AM
There's no relation between Bitcoin and bank interest, so it's no chance to make Bitcoin fall due to bank interest.

The average bank APY doesn't even reach 1%, even there's a bank offer 2-5% APY it doesn't worth for investment. The higher interest rate, the higher money printed, this make fiat is more easier to get and inflation will increase. Even it's supposed people will save their fiat on banks and reduce the fiat's circulations, but in the end the fiat supply will increase. Saving doesn't make your fiat's value increase, but otherwise.

Nope, having higher interest rates means quite the opposite. The Federal Reserve might start selling more government bonds to the banks, therefore reducing the circulating money supply.Less money supply means lower inflation. The problem is that the interest rate increase won't be sufficient enough to lower the inflation drastically and having too high interest rates would make the US federal debt too expensive.
In summary,we might expect the US dollar to gain more value in the short term, while Bitcoin will stay in a stagnant market in the upcoming 1 or 2 years.
1894  Economy / Economics / Re: Making use of Bitcoin as payment in our business. on: May 05, 2022, 10:52:36 AM
Making use of "Bitcoin" as another means of exchange In our daily business is my own opinion to improve our business strategy, if customer doesn't have money to pay after purchasing goods and any other business transaction, we should try and implement the means of Bitcoin payment and through this our business will improve in market and it will promote our business both in local and international way because the present century we are now is century of cryptocurrency...so my fans what do you suggest on my opinion!!!!

I'm confused. Are you sharing your opinion or just asking a question and searching for suggestions?
If you want to implement Bitcoin into your business, just do it.There's no need to seek for other people's opinions.Just try adding BTC payments and see what happens.Do you witness a revenue spike or the opposite?Just gather some data about your implementation and analyze it.There's a big possibility that not many people would use Bitcoin to pay for your goods and services. What kind of business are you running?
1895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Semifinals! on: May 05, 2022, 06:13:27 AM
Zinchenko and Gundogan started the attack, which lead to the goal for Manchester City, scored by Riyad Mahrez.I thought that Pep Guardiola made the perfect replacements, that led to Man City winning the match.
But then Ancelotti added Rodrigo and Camavinga to the game,Rodrigo scored two goals at the end and Camavinga was the player, who started the attack that equalized the result.
Actually Ancelotti was the coach, who made the perfect replacements.
Pep added Jack Grealish and he was pretty close to score a second goal for Man City, but he was not so good at the extra time. After 3-1 for Real, the Man City players simply lost their creativity and didn't know how to score a goal(mostly because of Pep replacing Gabriel Jesus and Mahrez).A truly amazing game by Real Madrid.
1896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the fees aren't enough? on: May 05, 2022, 05:50:13 AM
I know its heresy but I'd really like to entertain a discussion on both sides regarding a concern of mine. What if transaction fees aren't enough to incentivize the miners to secure the bitcoin network? I think this is a potential problem we may see in the next few decades as the halving continues on. My hope is that we will have enough people using the bitcoin network to have a healthy fee market, but if we have weak periods like now where there are several unfilled blocks, wont miners just turn off their equipment as they are unprofitable? What options or solutions are being discussed to help mitigate this?

If the miners shut down, because the fees are unprofitable, the hashrate/mining difficulty will get adjusted, which means that mining will become easier, which means that it will become profitable again.
On the other hand, most of the miners are hoarding Bitcoins, which means that they are expecting more ATH prices in the future, which means that even if BTC mining isn't profitable all the time,a future BTC price above 100K USD might make it extremely profitable.
Even if BTC mining is unprofitable for a long period of time, many miners could switch of altcoin mining,by choosing altcoins that have profitable mining.
1897  Economy / Economics / Re: How Much Garden You Would Need to 100% Survive On on: May 04, 2022, 10:59:56 AM
If you want to survive by growing your own food the space inside your garden won't be enough.
You have to plant vegetables on your own(or rented) piece of property, somewhere in the fields.
This raises another question.Who is going to protect your vegetables from stealing? Grin
Having access to water is really important. What if your property is too far away from a river or a lake?
There's not enough agricultural land for all the people in the cities,so I guess that the division of labor will be preserved. The farmers will keep farming and the people in the cities will keep doing their business.
1898  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Elon musk's buying of Twitter fueled by Jack Sweeney?? on: May 04, 2022, 10:37:33 AM
1.The idea of spending 44 billion USD just to stop a 19 year old kid from "tracking" him is ridiculous.
That kid could still track Musk and publish the info on another social media platform.Do you think that Elon Musk would buy all social media platforms, only for the sake of stopping a teenager from tracking his private jet? Grin
2.AFAIK,the deal about Twitter still isn't approved by the US authorities. There is a small possibility that the authorities might decline the deal.
3.Musk stated that he would buy Coca Cola only to add cocaine as an ingredient. You never know when he's serious and when he is trolling.
1899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Semifinals! on: May 04, 2022, 06:15:34 AM
I think that Unai Emery choose the wrong tactic for the game.
After the early goal,Villarreal had to step back and play in a more defensive style. Then, they had to seek for a second goal at the end of the second half.I know that this seems risky, but wasting all your energy in the first half and losing momentum in the second half against a team like Liverpool seems like a suicide.
Great work done by Jurgen Klopp. He did the right replacements to improve his team's play and he managed to motivate his players during the half time.
I'm expecting an English final at this year's edition of the UEFA Champions league.

According to the article, the cycles or super ciles if they break will be beneficial for BTC, then if a super cycle is fulfilled? How should we currently? How do you miss the Bullish trend cycle, but there is not yet .. What is missing? Are world events that do not allow the behavior that came from the accumulation cycle for a couple of years?

The only global events that would break Bitcoin are a global Bitcoin ban and a World War III(or maybe a global natural disaster). If those events don't happen,I'm sure that Bitcoin will be fine and we will see another ATH in the upcoming years. Is the Bitcoin price moving in cycles? It probably is,but I don't care that much about proving this "cycle theory".All the hype around the BTC halvings is kinda like a self-fulfilling prophecy. The people are buying, because they are expecting the price to go up and their buying activity is what makes the price to actually go up.As if they are trying to pump the price on purpose.
