I am guessing it was a joke ? I think it was Internet humor at its worst or at least a mediocre attempt to be funny.

Yeah, I think you're guessing it right. If this thread was created only for humor purpose then it's the worst type of joke someone can ever read.

People have different reasons to get things, you would be surprised how much people paid for some items that aren't even Worth it in the first place.

Regardless I believe this was just a joke and for fun but if this post was to go main stream and may get high publicity many people would definitely take the offer and would want to be part of the recreation of the legendary Bitcoin pizza .

I know that there are some people who paid a lot for the items that weren't of any value but they did because of love and curiosity. This time if the thread was created as a joke then that's okay otherwise I don't think that anyone would be naive enough to give 1 BTCitcoin to someone who is just offering 2 pizzas.
1882  Other / Meta / Re: The comment layout is awful here on: September 14, 2023, 08:47:04 PM
Honestly can we make a push to bundle comments directed towards a certain side convo between users within a certain topic to stack directly underneath with a collapsible drop down that doesn't move the comments all the way to the last page? I feel like this system is due for an upgrade and could use some more social media like elements. ...

The forum's current layout is the best one for us and no other social media platform can match its simplistic design. I don't think that anyone would like this amazing forum to look anything like those social media platforms. I don't really spend much time on social media platforms because I spend most of my time on this forum and it's layout is really amazing for me.

I love to spend time on this forum because of its simplistic design and I give a lot of time to it because it's addictive for me. The social media platforms are useless and anyone who wants to destroy their time should spend it on social media.

Surely when the users create single account on a casino then that users will never face any problem because every casino allows a single account for each user and that's according to their Terms and Conditions. The multi-accounts are not allowed in many casinos and it's basically written in their Terms and Conditions but still when some people try to create multiple accounts only so that they can have the bonuses again and again, and that's something the casinos don't like and the user will face problems due to his/her own greedy nature.

When someone is sure that KYC is part of the game then that person doesn't get scared from completing the KYC verification. The KYC is of course done when someone submits the original documents and once KYC is completed the user won't face any withdrawal issues from legit casinos.
I agree with you that a lot of users who arr greedy create multi axcount only to get free bonuses. But there might have other reasons too. For example stake.com limited my odds for sportsbook. Now i have left the site. But many people who is fond of the site may create another account to increase odd limit.

If stake.com or any other casino limit the odds on sportsbook or anywhere else then the best step is to reduce the usage of that site, and it would be a really wrong step to create another account in order to increase the odds. I know that for short term the odds will get an increase but they can limit those anytime again even of the other account and if they suspect multi-accounting then they may ban both of the accounts and freeze the withdrawals without any notification.

The user who would create multiple accounts would be responsible for that act and Stake.com or another casino where multiple accounts were created would not give 2nd chance to such users who are found to have multiple accounts on their platform. The real culprit it someone's greed and if someone can't control the greed then surely he/she will have to face the consequences.

WO Meta Post.

There is a long time I don't come here, as the market is so dull right now.

I have updated the merit network for WO thread

Take a look and try to find yourself and your friends  Cool

Ah, I can see the name of El duderino_ and that's what I can see without searching any of the dots. The man is always on top and will always remain on top. I have visited the dot chart and it's really amazing to see it. I have seen some other awesome members dots in the chart, like LFC_Bitcoin, xhomerx10, JayJaunGee, Philipma1957,  Boblawblaw, Toxic2040, fillippone, Torque, and many others. Amazing work!

I just discovered nutildah thread about merit in WO. But it is now locked.

I made this network chart about 3 years ago and didn't updated it anymore. I just updated it now with today's data (using LoyceV website data)

I just updated it, as I believe people who are looking into those merits may find it useful

You can just click any dot (user) to see who merited who, and how much they received.

Took me a while but I did find my dot pretty good work on your part to make it.

You don't need to worry because I found your dot for you.

Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf injuries screwed Pakistan big-time and it's pretty evident in this match since Sri Lanka is cruising towards victory at the moment. Shadab is the only decent bowler among them.

Afridi is struggling along with the rest. Mendis is most probably playing a match-winning innings. Great stuff Sri Lanka!

Another worst match for Pakistani team because Sri Lanka has managed to make around 250 runs in 41.5 overs and only four out. I was expecting a good bowling performance from team Pakistan but again they aren't doing very well today. I think Sri Lanka will win this match because their batsmen especially Kusal Mendis played very well in the match, and now Charith Asalanka is also giving his best performance to win the match.

Hard luck to the Pakistan team. They were so close to be in the finals but yet not found themselves there. Charith Asalanka snatched the win from Pakistan and he got his team into the finals with India.

The Srilankans and the people in Colombo won't sleep tonight. They will keep on buzzing about this match for a long long time as this is one of the historic win. It was cliff hanger and we didn't know till the last ball who would win the match to play the finals with India.

We have to wait for another Asia cup for the India Pakistan final.

Yes, in all of the matches the Pakistani teams luck wasn't good this time. The rain basically ruined their luck and because of rain they lose against India and now against Sri Lanka. It seems like that Pakistani players weren't ready for a sudden rain and if they were aware that anything like that could take place during the matches then they should have practiced by creating such environment artificially so they could tackle any issues that arise due to rain. Well, sometimes luck also determines the winning of the games and this time I noticed that Pakistani teams luck was not good at all. The team Sri Lanka played very well and they deserve to be in the finals. I must say that this match was truly an outstanding one and Sri Lanka hardly won the match, and that's why I said luck works sometimes.

Yes. I have a dice game in the works. Magic Dice.
I have another game done already, Pick Six, but it has a huge jackpot.. So I'm going to save it for when things are rolling and bets are coming in.

Magic Dice will be the next game. It will be a couple weeks.. but yes, it's coming.

Josh

That sounds interesting because dice games are favorite of many players and when they are added into the site the players would love to try those games. Magic dice is a pretty good name choice for the game and I'm quite sure that many users would try that game when it's introduced. But, I should say that the game should be constructed in a way that the site may not face similar under-construction message that it used to have. I think that way the users who like the current games won't get disappointed and when the Magic Dice is released they would also love to try that game.

But if anyone use a single account and there is no violation then the user would not face any problem. Only those people will have to face problem who wants to use multi account for various purpose. I have never faces any issue regarding kyc as I have no violatoon and I submit original document for kyc verification.

1890  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another reason and proof to keep funds in your wallet not in an exchange on: September 14, 2023, 06:24:25 PM
That's a shocking news and we have heard such shocking news many times before but still some people really don't understand the importance of having their own personal wallets instead of relying on those centralized exchanges custodial wallets.

The hackers always try to find a flaw in exchanges and whenever they successfully get one the hack most of the coins from the vulnerable exchanges. Sometimes exchanges just made up a story of such hacks and steal coins of the users themselves. That's why it's always better to store your coins in your own software wallets like Electrum, and make those wallets cold ones by disconnecting them from internet.

its time for another pizza day but reversal this time, lm selling 2 papa John's pizza for 1 Bitcoin. BTC

You're trying to be smart but no one is stupid enough to buy 2 Papa John's Pizzas for 1 BTCitcoin. I would recommend you to try your luck somewhere else because on this forum users aren't naive enough to purchase 2 pizzas for a Bitcoin because with a single Bitcoin we can buy so many of those pizzas.
1892  Other / Meta / Re: can we use live signatures on this forum. on: September 14, 2023, 05:49:39 PM
I think signatures are good in their current state and adding any animation would make them annoying for everyone. I have seen live avatars on some users profiles but those have been set during the times when the live avatars weren't disabled on the forum and those lucky few have kept their avatars since then because they knew that if they change their avatar even for a single time then they won't be able to get that live avatar again on their profiles.

Like @jayce said that thing is just an html banner and that isn't a live signature and surely he also said that it's disabled on the forum and that means that such kind of banners can't be applied on profiles anymore. The signatures in their current state are pretty eye-catching and the advertisers are happy with those signatures, and that's why I don't think there is any need to have those html banners back on forum.
1893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 14, 2023, 04:02:18 PM
Rain is adding a lot of uncertainty to this match. If it was a normal 50-over match, then Sri Lanka would be easily in a winning position. But the overs have been reduced, and even more interruptions are expected for the remanded of play. Also, I strongly doubt that the frequent interruptions helped Pakistan in a way, by allowing them to regroup and rethink on the strategy. It has been frustrating for the Sri Lankans, who need to get on and off the field very frequently. And now the partnership between Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Rizwan is adding valuable runs for Pakistan and taking them towards a very decent total.
Rain has been a plus point for Pakistan as I can see Pakistan scoring good runs in a very short span of time. Despite the fall of wickets from the beginning, Pakistan showed a very good performance towards the end. Despite the fall of one wicket after another, the duo of Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed has strengthened the Pakistan team. These two players can definitely score some good runs for the Pakistani supporters but they are in massive form at the moment. In this way, if the pair can survive till the last, then the chances of Sri Lanka winning will definitely be less.

Pakistan started their innings very slowly. At the end of 30 overs, their collection was only 138 runs. The team could not collect an average of 5 runs per over. Also they lost 5 wickets in 30 overs. However, due to the responsible batting of Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed, Pakistan collected 252 runs in 42 overs. Rizwan is unbeaten with 86 runs off 73 balls. I would say Pakistan's batting was good enough. A collection of 242 runs on this pitch is enough to win. If Pakistan's luck is not too bad then they will have no problem to win this match. But Naseem is not in the squad. Had he been with the squad, Pakistan's bowling line-up would have been stronger.

I was also in doubt that Pakistan team would make 252 runs in a match like that but still they played well and made good runs in the match. I'm sure that if Pakistani bowlers do their best in this match then the victory will be on Pakistan side. Team Sri Lanka will also try their best to cross 252 runs but I'm sure that it will be hard for them to cross the score of 252 runs in 42 overs. Let's see what strategy the team Sri Lanka will follow to win this match against Pakistan.

Do you have any assurity that in long run the the gambler will have profit from the bot? Because I don't think that a bot like that which depends on value betting can be any useful for the gamblers. If you really think that your bot it different and can keep up one's expectations then can you kindly share some successful images of the bets that your bot has made? Why don't you open up your own account on Bet365 and run the bot yourself?

1896  Other / Meta / Re: Is there any code or extension where I can hide the avatar on the top left page? on: September 13, 2023, 09:31:15 PM
Hey, I have created an open source extension based on TryNinja's script that is working perfectly on Chrome browser. The source is completely open and anyone can use it without any issue. I could keep that thing closed source but that would not be helpful for anyone.

Here's the link of the source code of the extension: https://file.io/d9uQUNNZVwg5

In order to install the extension, first you need to unzip the files in a folder and then enable developer mode in the extension, and after that click on Load unpacked and then select the folder of the extension, and it will be automatically installed.

Further if you want to make it from the source code then create a file and name it as contents.js and paste the following code in that file:

Code:
// content.js

try {
  document.getElementById("smfheader").style.display = "none";
  document.getElementById("hellomember").style.display = "none";
  const avatars = document.querySelectorAll(".avatar");
  avatars.forEach((avatar) => {
    avatar.style.display = "none";
  });
} catch (error) {
  console.error("An error occurred:", error);
}

And then you will need to create another file and name it as manifest.json and paste the following code:

Code:
 {
  "manifest_version": 3,
  "name": "Hide BitcoinTalk Username and Avatar",
  "version": "1.0",
  "description": "A Chrome extension to hide BitcoinTalk username and avatar",
  "permissions": [
    "activeTab"
  ],
  "content_scripts": [
    {
      "matches": ["*://bitcointalk.org/*"],
      "js": ["content.js"]
    }
  ],
  "action": {
    "default_popup": "popup.html"
  }
}

Once done save those into a folder and load it using the method mentioned above. I hope this will be helpful for the members of the forum. Remember it's based on TryNinja's script so all the credit goes to him!
1897  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Cryptocurrency Casino in 2023? Share Your Experience! on: September 13, 2023, 08:58:40 PM

1. Which cryptocurrency casino do you think stands out in 2023, and why?
2. What specific features or attributes make it your preferred choice?
3. Are there any safety or security concerns you've faced or are aware of regarding any particular platform?

Most of the reputable and trustable casinos still stand till this day and the reason for their still getting much attention is that they are really doing the game in the right hand way because if any casino does bad with their players then their reputation gets worse over time and players will stop placing bets in that particular casino. If a casino is doing fair with their players then the players will keep betting on the games which that casino has and that's one of the ways for their success even till this day.

I won't vote for a single casino as my preferred choice because in my eyes there are many such casinos which offer great features and attributes and naming a single one or two won't be a fair thing with all those other casinos that have been doing well.

Yes, the only security concern that I and other players have is the KYC verification because with KYC verification we are actually providing our person details to the casinos which in my eyes is something which isn't good for privacy or ones safety. Other than that I don't really have any concerns with any of the casinos.
1898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How valuable BTC has become overtime on: September 13, 2023, 08:47:01 PM
Imagine holding the BTC that you used to buy iPhone 4s till the present day and see the number of iPhone 15 you can acquire with it. If you have not started investing in bitcoin, this is the right time to start.

If someone was smart enough to hold that many BTC then that person could buy more than 5225 iPhone 15 in todays date, but there are only few people who really hold more than that amount in Bitcoin and they aren't interested in Apple devices. iPhone is just an example we can compare that rate to many other things and the answer would be similar because the ones who hold their Bitcoin don't really spend them on things like iPhone or anything else.

Only few people knew that Bitcoin could grow so high in value after a decade and that's why creating threads like this doesn't really make much sense to me. But, if someone really invested in Bitcoin even after 2015's then that person would be a millionaire this day if he/she has hold his/her Bitcoin till this day. I agree with the final part of the thread if someone hasn't invested in Bitcoin till this day then that person should start investing in it with further delay.
1899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How we can sell and store crypto speacialy BTC on: September 13, 2023, 05:25:12 PM
how we can sell and parchase  crypto like BTC etc can we deposit directly into our account because in my country BTC and all others crypto is not acceptable
i her that there are lots of 3rd party platform available for that and also online exchange company corporation

You can buy Bitcoin from this forum but you'll have to be careful when buying Bitcoin because sometimes new members do not know how to buy Bitcoin from trusted members and they get scammed by scammers. If you want to buy Bitcoin from this forum then you must have to find a reputable and trusted members with a Legendary rank at least, and only then you should confirm the deal. I would also recommend you to have an escrow so you will be safe from any possible scammers.

You can also purchase Bitcoin from decentralized as well as centralized exchanges. But, if your country has blocked centralized exchanges then you should consider buying from decentralized exchanges. While it's possible to buy Bitcoin from decentralized exchange but still you should be careful when buying from decentralized exchanges. Still, if you find a good and reputable one then you can purchase from them without any issue. When it comes to centralized exchanges then my experience with Binance has been good so far, but still I won't vouch for anyone. Do your own research and then purchase Bitcoin.

I would also advice you to learn about Bitcoin wallets and when you purchased your Bitcoin then withdraw those to your own personal wallet instead of allowing them on those custodial wallets. You should learn about wallet software like Electrum in detail and once you are sure that you have learnt enough about it then create your wallet with that software and save your Private key and Pass phrase in a secure location.  I would also encourage you to make your wallet a cold wallet because if it is connected to internet then you may face problems from hackers.

1900  Other / Meta / Re: Is there a way to know how many spendable merits are going to expire soon ? on: September 13, 2023, 04:55:38 PM
Is there a way to know how many spendable merits are going to expire soon ?  If not, it should be included in profile if possible.

There is no way to know that how many spendable merits are going to expire because your merits don't expire and you can keep them forever. The merits will stay in your profile if you don't send those to someone else, and if you send someone 2 merits then he/she will get one spendable or sendable merits the other one will not be deposited in his/her sendable merits.

So far no-one merits have been expired and I'm sure that theymos isn't going to add a feature where someone's merits will be expired. Still, I would encourage you to send those sendable merits to deserving posts because keeping those sendable merits won't help you in anyway.
