1881  Economy / Economics / Re: Impact of Italy's crisis on the Bitcoin price? on: November 02, 2018, 05:54:48 AM
For me I believe Italy won't go the same route as Greece because EU would be foolish to let this happen, concerning triggering crisis  in EU region, one thing I have observed recently is that Bitcoin is becoming tolerant to news like this and is having less and  less impact on the price, as we have seen this year, before this would be a good thing for Bitcoin prices but don't see it driving the price up
1882  Economy / Speculation / Re: The reason why bitcoin will never *stay* below 5000$ again. PROVE ME WRONG on: November 02, 2018, 05:47:47 AM
I won't bet on the price going below $5000 because for me when Bitcoin price hit $18k I said then the we won't see bitcoin price below $10k, I was advising my friends to buy at that price, but we are now close to $5k than $10k now and i was very disappointed encouraging someone new to the space to buy at the top. I am bullish on BTC that is all I can say now because IMO there seems to be some invisible hands pushing the price down
1883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think only the rich can make profit from Bitcoin? on: November 02, 2018, 05:41:57 AM
A few people thought that Bitcoin investment is intended for just the rich to make the additional reach. That isn't true. Bitcoin can be utilized by either the rich or poor to make benefit. It requires smartness, patience, and less greediness both make a good profit from Bitcoin.
I don't really believe this point, alot of small investors are making profit int he space, the reason I would agreed with this is that rich people have huge appetite for risk and won't be checking their laptop for Bitcoin price performance daily, they can invest and walk away until the price meet their exit position
1884  Economy / Economics / Re: You Can Now Keep Your Bitcoins In A Bank on: November 01, 2018, 06:23:14 AM
Attimes I am sometimes skeptical about people asking for institutional investments without looking at the down side, Bitcoin is sole about control of ones financial life, a trustless transaction, asking a bank to hold my BTC make no sense to me, I would rather have it in my laptop than in any secured vault in the world. Again you are at risk if Government start confiscating BTC. We need to discourage people doing this
1885  Economy / Economics / Re: Whether Getting Married At a Young Age Can Lead To Poverty And Make Poor Economy on: November 01, 2018, 06:19:28 AM
There is no doubt that getting married early is  very good provided you can provide for 4 people at most, but if you are looking to bear the burnen yourself it would weigh you down because your partner too has a role to play by contributing to the budget of the family. If you have a sustainable business and getting decent income it is a good thing to consider just make sure you are always having savings somewhere in case of emergencies.
1886  Economy / Economics / Re: 10th Birthday, Bitcoin Price Is No Longer Exciting ? on: November 01, 2018, 06:12:07 AM
I don;t know why people are just focusing on the price action this year instead of looking a tthe big picture, look at the intrinct value Bitcoin has added to the society at large.

How many millionaire has been made by BTC in the past 10 years?
How many people have been  set freed financially in the past 10 years just because of Bitcoin?
How many businesses have been built around and on Bitcoin in the past 10 years?
Has Bitcoin reached half of its potential?
Has Bitcoin affect our lives positively in the past 10 years?

if one answer all these questions sincerely we can see Bitcoin has done very much for us than looking at the current price action
1887  Economy / Economics / Re: Government should implement blockchain technology to prevent corruption. on: November 01, 2018, 06:03:09 AM
DO you think Government practice what they preach, the most corrupt people are in Government and you will see them pointing fingers at people on the street, block-chain tech brings transparency and you know what is going on within the Government and once you know this and knowledge is power they very much know people would use this against them or try to check mate them
1888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the future of crypto, bitcoin is not. on: October 31, 2018, 09:34:37 PM
Anyone writing off BTC do so at his own peril, just look at the amount of funds and businesses been built on the Bitcoin, do you think BAKKT is coming into the space because of Ethereum or Bitcoin, how many Bitcoin ETF do you see being lined up for approval. The level of development of Bitcoin maybe steady buy no project compares to it for now
1889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAG structure is a new trend of 2019 ? on: October 31, 2018, 09:30:06 PM
There is no doubt that DAG technology show alot of promising but from what I can see it seems it is being oversold to people relying on the hype in the space, I could remember when everyone was talking about smart contract platforms how many now has really taken off and move to another level, we are still waiting for the Dapps that is going to bring adoption
1890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is temorary spike on: October 31, 2018, 09:27:14 PM
I don't think we need an ETF. The rise of the market has nothing to do with the ETF. The current bitcoin is turning green. I believe Bitcoin will rise sharply at the end of this year.

Are you joking that we don't need ETF, I believe ETF is going to bring alot of institutional fund into the space, off course some people would stand against institutional investment in the space, but from what I see most of these projects won't scale up their marketing and adoption level if these funds do not enter the space
1891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC scams on: October 31, 2018, 09:23:19 PM
The issue of abuse of this KYC is really given me a big concern, because now it is increasingly becoming difficult to trust these ICOs with one information, since the craze about KYC started there has been several attack on my accounts and alot of phishing email which I received, this just make me come to conclusion that some if not all these ICOs sell our KYC information
1892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why would people want to adopt Bitcoin as a payment option? on: October 30, 2018, 07:18:01 AM
For me it is simple thing, Control of my own fund. I don't know why people are trying to promote these third party payment system when what Bitcoin offers is peer to peer transaction, for me as long as the transaction speed keep increasing we will likely see more adoption of this and a more secured wallet and user friendly would also help
1893  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices are currently fluctuating very low! This is a strange thing. on: October 30, 2018, 06:21:12 AM
I still feel there is still alot is going on behind the scene that most people are not observing, when we see the volume drying out on the crypto exchanges that mean this volume is going somewhere, the OTC. With recent reports stating that the number of OTC volume has increased greatly this year and most institutional investors have learnt their lessons from last year bull run. I for one believe we are entering a new phase in Cryptocurrencies in general
1894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees have been low after Segwit's growing adoption. Thanks Segwit. on: October 30, 2018, 06:15:17 AM
It is just very bad that people that Bitcoin made, that none would have heard about them are the one holding the development and the progress of Bitcoin back, miners, investors and developers. Now I do understand this quote that "we can accomplish anything provided we do not care who get the credit" this power struggle and greed need to stop
1895  Economy / Economics / Re: Article: A Characteristic Feature of ICOs Feed Price Fluctuations on: October 30, 2018, 06:01:11 AM
Why in the world do you want a refund from ICO, unless the project end up being a scam. What people fail to understand is that not all ICO investment will bring returns/profit, even in the traditional market prices of shares fall below the IPO price. What I believe is that provided the project is sound the long term gain would outway the short term, and this is the sole focus of most people in the space, the space is changing fast and we need to adapt
1896  Economy / Economics / Re: 2018 the year of correction? on: October 29, 2018, 05:49:52 PM
I hope Bakkt will be the trigger for the Bull market and it will push us back to a even higher ATH in 2019.  Wink

Bakkt itself won't do much in the short term considering how they are using the OTC market to stock up on coins. It's very likely that they have enough coins already to last them a good number of months.

I think it's more likely to see the market react in a negative manner to Bakkt with how people think it's such a big deal, while its effect on the market won't be felt immediately. Don't get me wrong, on paper Bakkt is a big deal, but there isn't much to be bullish about in the short term with the aforementioned in mind. The other side is that we don't even know if there will be enough demand, because the demand for crypto is known to be very low during bear markets.

Coinbase already took out its index fund due to that. Bakkt in case the demand is there, will affect the market after a couple of years. OTC market -> spot market are different worlds.

This has been mine stance on the launch of BAKKT and the amount of OTC trade going on is affecting the volume on main exchange and if this persist this way I don't see how the price will pick up. What I see here is that there are a lot of invisible hands in play now and retail investors are feeling like a pawn in the hands of the institutional investors
1897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coin War: Can A Country Officially Back Bitcoin? on: October 29, 2018, 05:31:06 PM
This is a joke I think, why would US backed Ripple and what do China gained supporting or Backing Bitcoin, one thing Government don't like is losing control and with Bitcoin you can't have that and also the distribution of BTC and Ripple is in the hands of few people this would make them to people in control of the monetary system of the world just like the Rockefellers. Both countries would rather start their own chain than support Bitcoin and Ripple
1898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When do you consider Bitcoin to be 10 years old? on: October 29, 2018, 05:22:54 PM

I don't know about others but for me, it is when the Genesis Block was mined, alot of projects ideas that was conceived and do not materialized, it is good that the whitepaper was released to gain the world attention but mining the first block set the pace for BTC and gave birth to Bitcoin

1900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Red market held back New ICOs getting in now? on: October 27, 2018, 07:15:30 PM
The collection of money from ICO projects has decreased very much. This is because of the market situation. New projects appear, but more and more often I notice that projects stop raising funds and return funds to investors.

Market is all about sentiments, since the sentiment in the market about ICOs is very poor what do you expect, for me this is a good time of reflection, because when this overvaluation of projects started i was pointing this out and everything is dawn on us now, how in the world would a project with nothing on ground be asking for more than $20 million, how much was raised by Stratis, Lisk, Waves, Ethereum, NEO etc and they all have returned huge profit for investors. We need to get this right
