1881  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Namecheap now accepting 0 confirmations on: April 03, 2014, 04:42:29 PM
I didn't realize they started accepting 0 confirmations until today when I purchased a new domain. This is great! The purchase went through in a matter of seconds. It was annoying when I had to wait over an hour before for 6 confirmations, but now it's even easier to use than PayPal.
1882  Economy / Speculation / Re: That 'feeling' - That urgent feeling on: April 03, 2014, 05:08:03 AM
If Chinese money starts leaving bitcoin, we could be heading back to pre-November 2013 levels. In a way it's good for bitcoin, not so much for speculators though.

China is old news.
People in Denmark can trade BTC and legally pay no taxes.

I never get That urgent feeling at bottoms, I always know buying is the right move.
At tops I sometimes want to buy after a small dip

I imagine the Chinese have a lot more money invested in BTC compared to the Danes.

Will it be ASIC resistant?
1885  Other / Meta / Re: Maged permabanned MPOE-PR because she swore shock on: April 01, 2014, 07:07:48 PM
Old members shouldn't get preferential treatment if they break the rules. No one would be complaining if a new member got banned for swearing at a moderator. Sometimes people need to be made an example of in order to keep others in check.

You don't get banned for swearing at a moderator. MPOE-PR was asked to stop spamming/trolling by Maged, and rather than stopping, she swore at him. The act of insulting Maged itself didn't get her banned, it was the warning, and then lack of acknowledgement of the warning that got the ban.

I was going by what the OP posted. It's witty how people usually leave out important details when they bash the mods.

1887  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Cosmopolis] Prepare for Bitcoin $266 Retest on: April 01, 2014, 06:19:13 PM
I'll keep that in mind then. But to speak to my mind regarding 'trust': I tend to trust the posters that look at a situation from multiple angles, but I rarely act according to their posts. I often find it difficult to distinguish the trolls from the real analysts, but you might have made that a bit easier for me.

MatTheCat and TERA are bears that usually give intelligent explanations for their predictions and analysis. You can usually tell the rubbish posters from their sensationalist titles and use of CAPS therein. For example:

China BANNED BITCOIN! This time for real!
URGENT: PBOC (CHINA) OFFICIALS Say "WALK AWAY FROM BITCOIN"
URGENT, Bitcoin is on the verge of collapse !!!
WHAT ARE U GUYS WAITING FOR? BTC to $100K!

Some of these posters are likely even the same people posting under different accounts.
1888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predict the price of Bitcoin on 1 April 2015 - win CGB's on: April 01, 2014, 06:00:07 PM
4150 on stamp
Please consider rewarding with something that will exist in 2015

Lol, good point. I've never even heard of CBG until now.

My prediction: $3828.50

1889  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 01, 2014, 05:53:36 PM

Probably just another April Fool's joke.
1890  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC may never be this cheap again on: April 01, 2014, 05:46:27 PM
This won´t recover over 500$ anytime. If you have coins left you should cut your losses and sell or recover some of you loss

It touched $500 already today. At first I thought we might break $400 but it's looking more unlikely now. We may stay at these price levels for another 2 weeks but then it's more likely to move upwards.
1891  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hey forum. on: March 30, 2014, 02:40:13 AM
Hey there. There's an option that let's you move threads yourself. This probably belongs in the beginner or alt-coin section.
1892  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mt.GOX is FINE, BTC HAS NOT 'CRASHED' on: March 30, 2014, 02:25:32 AM
If they don't re-start BTC withdrawals within a few days i'll eat my hat.

So when are you going to post the YouTube link showing you eating your hat?
1893  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What will be the bottom price for current downturn? on: March 28, 2014, 05:05:52 AM
I think it could hit $350 if the China ban turns out to be true. Don't see the price dropping more than that unless we get more bad news.
1894  Economy / Speculation / Re: Too all those saying "China FUD" on: March 28, 2014, 04:41:41 AM
As far as I can tell, it's still unclear on what position the PBOC is taking. I'm going to play it cautious in case a worst-case scenario unfolds. Don't listen to the people who bought at $1000, they'll say anything to try and get people to buy.
1895  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lemmings are doomed! on: March 27, 2014, 04:58:15 PM
What price Bitcoin will be be trending at when the bottom is in I couldn't possibly call at this point in time but mid $200 range seems like a likely bet to me and the likes of Risto will be forced to reassess their 'exponential mean growth line' speculating model. When this time will come I don't know, might not even know about it when it happens cos I most likely won't care.

So you're predicting a prolonged downtrend? I can see bitcoin going down in the short term, but I think we'll see more growth in BTC services this year, which will in turn, attract fresh blood into bitcoin.
1896  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who sold below $550? The $400 bottom is in LOL!!!! on: March 27, 2014, 04:45:03 PM
Looks like we may revisit this bottom again soon.
1897  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why I'm still holding on: March 27, 2014, 04:12:05 PM
If you bought at a high price, you're pretty much forced to hold or sell at a loss and risking BTC flying back up.
1898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World's First Low Cost Bitcoin ATM under 1000 Euro on: March 27, 2014, 02:49:35 AM
I think these machines will become popular in places where there is little regulation.
