18841  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Growbitco, grow-btc, 100x btc -- are all SCAMS ? on: April 03, 2015, 01:46:41 PM
So are there any websites that grow bitcoins without risk ?

That's a big fat no.

Maybe in the future there'll be more legit options to invest bitcoin in companies, proper ones. Don't go anywhere near bitcoin stocks or securities as they are now let alone gambling or ponzies or weird 'investment' schemes.

Giving your bitcoins to others to safely grow them is a few years away yet, if ever. Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.
18842  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Growbitco, grow-btc, 100x btc -- are all SCAMS ? on: April 03, 2015, 01:41:27 PM
Yes.

They're ponzis or outright frauds so they depend on fresh blood constantly pouring in to pay out anything (that's if they pay out anything at all).

If you want to get more coins without spending money then look into signature campaigns, selling old stuff you have on here or offering a service. Don't bother with faucets either. Life is too short.
18843  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is OpenBazaar dead or something? on: April 03, 2015, 01:00:22 PM

Thats the truth right there, it will be interesting to see how the free market solves this.  90% of people who buy from me currently on ebay do click to buy without any real thought and expect everything to be perfect.  Since they can see im a top rated seller they are correct.

I don't think it'll be embraced by your average Ebayer or Amazonian unless it became shockingly slick, even then it requires too much thought for the average person.

There's still plenty of scope for growth. It could be superb for wholesaling and international trade, especially less developed markets.

Avatar advertising.

Yes or no?

It's a no for me. That would be too much noise.
18845  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 03, 2015, 01:49:20 AM
OMFG bring back the newbie prison already!

A better alternative is Pay Per Account (PPA).  Under the PPA model, traced by IP (or browser fingerprint), your first account is free.  Your second a marginal cost, say $5 USD.  Your third? $50 USD.  Fourth? How about $500.  Just increase the cost by a factor of ten for each account thereafter.

That's an interesting idea. We'll be able to calculate the budget allocated to each shill. After that everyone could club together to pay them to be silent or change tack. I doubt they understand what they're posting anyway.

Shut your fucking mouth, little boy Cheesy

There's enough aggravation on this thread.

I cherish you very much and only want the best for you.
18847  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 02, 2015, 11:40:57 PM
Seriously! (I'm super serial!)
Who are these negative trolls? I get that shorters trade good when price goes down. But why are they here? All the time? I get so paranoid with all these corrupt agents playing games! Yes, I don't think Force & Bridges were rouge agents. Just expendables. I have even started to worry about what I post. Fucking fed up with this shit.....

That's exactly how all these silly sausages want you to feel. Who knows who it is and who cares? By the sheer volume and persistence of diarrhea squirted out they've proven themselves to be utterly irrelevant.

Ignore and converse with those who you think are worth listening to. Look back into the deep past of this forum. There was the same squealing and doom all the way through.

If BTC was $100,000 a piece there'd still be the same old crap. People still yell about gold and it's only been around for a few thousand years.
18848  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coin.mx Review on: April 02, 2015, 10:23:51 PM
I will leave a review for free - I have never heard of them until I read about them paying for reviews today. They can now gently kiss my ring piece but I will be charging for that.
18849  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is DEA Agent Force Responsible For MtGox Collapse? on: April 02, 2015, 09:52:49 PM

The link is ~1.5 years old, I wonder how soon the movie will be ready?

It's such a fast moving story that they'd be better off letting it simmer and fully conclude. You don't want to spend a few tens of millions only for it to be irrelevant when it comes out. It's also certain to become an awful lot juicier yet.
18850  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 02, 2015, 09:43:27 PM
Today it is a very different landscape. We know the limits of BTC and the blockchain a lot better and new technologies are strating to appear (AND I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT ALTCOINS/SHITCOINS!!!!).
What new technologies are starting to appear?

Check his posting history. It rhymes with nipple and you get a slapped botty if you like it too much around here. I gave up attempting to figure out how the fucking thing works and feel better for it.
18851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have a feeling BTC has slowed down a bit? on: April 02, 2015, 09:32:29 PM

I will tell you. That it not gonna happen. And I think we need something to make bitcoin stable. If we don't find anything to back bitcoin soon with then digital currency backed by a physical commodity will be more appealing than volatile bitcoin in the future.

Maybe the only thing that would give stability would be world dominance. If it 'stabilised' at $250 it could be smashed upwards or downwards every time a fresh group of people discovered it. Said volatility on the way up pretty much negates potential world dominance but you never know.

I am so glad, I do not live in the USA.

You don't realise how foreign it is until you go there and spend some serious time. I loved wandering around. I loved coming back to knackered old commie Europe too.

There could've been a case for overt dodginess in 2010. Now anyone trying to paint it as evil incarnate looks like a fool after two seconds of googling.
18853  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 bitcoins. Will I be a millionaire by 2020? on: April 02, 2015, 09:16:39 PM

In fact, I believe that if you trade smartly (luckily) you can probably become a multi-millionaire (maybe even a low-decamillionaire) by 2020.

The odds would point towards ending up with nothing if you're taking risks with a large amount. If you have a small and brave trading stash then you might end up with a nice bonus.

18855  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is OpenBazaar dead or something? on: April 02, 2015, 09:08:39 PM

I cant wait to get rid of intermediaries and go full p2p, the problem is... how do you avoid the other person running with the coins/whatever you are trading the coins for?

It's based around escrow and reputation. Buyers and sellers agree on who will arbitrate. It's an amazing idea but it'll need a huge amount of streamlining before it could ever take off properly. It's one hard sell on top of another hard sell.

Maybe places that really need it will lead the way.

I've been a Ripple supporter for a long time and just find this link on xrptalk, I really think it's dead now because of founder initial xrp stash they didn't manage to deal with that properly, I'm out of XRP now.

no wonders ripple gimpled out into a free-fall.

I'm currently undergoing a monster upload so that page isn't coming up for me. What's the gist of it all?
18857  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is OpenBazaar dead or something? on: April 02, 2015, 04:38:43 PM
It's gonna be a hard sell to the average person. In the case of sending your money to strangers in return for their shit, most actively seek out an overbearing big brother to ruin everything. People seem to become especially mindless when indulging in retail. We'll see.
18858  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I day trade my bitcoins with the minimum fees? on: April 02, 2015, 03:51:20 PM
Would bitstamp ask for ID and paperwork if I go over the $10,000 mark? Even if I move my coins into their exchange and is over $10,000 ?

Also, how reliable are the chinese exchanges? I heard of few that were "hacked" and got shut down...

I'm pretty sure Bitstamp want your DNA sample for anything these days. They wouldn't even release coins to unverified accounts. You can drop coins onto Bitfinex without verifying I think.

Loads of exchanges have had problems. You'll have to wait for something like Gemini, the Winklevoss one, to find something safe, insured and dependable. You take your chances with all of the current crop but I don't think the really big Chinese exchanges have had major problems. Lots of little ones have.
18859  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I day trade my bitcoins with the minimum fees? on: April 02, 2015, 03:43:17 PM
Chinese all the way. OKcoin, Huobi, BTC China are all zero fee I think and have the huge volumes.

The volumes are probably made up and they might implode at any moment but if you get in and out as quick as possible your chances of surviving disaster are massively reduced.

Don't leave anything on there for any period of time.

Is this an April's Fools joke?
it's impossible to tell at this point. I really hate this stupid month where you can't fully trust any news just in case is an ellaborate joke.

It's been on the table for months. A few seconds of googling will show it up in the deep past too. You're not allowed to start April Fool jokes several months beforehand.
