18901  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to Trade? on: December 03, 2016, 04:18:36 AM
Where can we trade bitcoin Instantly? Buy and sell bitcoin instantly sounds like the ideal deal when we want earn profits from bitcoin with its ever changing value in dollars.
But is there a place where we can buy and sell bitcoin instantly?

you can buy and sell bitcoin as fast as your bitcoin and fiat deposit and withdrawals get to the exchanges!

for example if you already have fiat or bitcoin on bitfinex you can open up the btc/usd page and click buy or sell and have your trade instantly!

but when you want to deposit and then trade there is always some sort of delay for both fiat and bitcoin before it reaches the exchange so you can trade them.
18902  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the difference? on: December 03, 2016, 04:13:33 AM
so this topic states that i should use a desktop wallet insted of webwallet as long as i can take the risk of protecting my money myself is it? that is cool

also remember that it is not only argument of web wallet VS. desktop wallet. it is also about being online and not being online. with a web wallet you always have to connect to internet and be on a high risk situation (key loggers, hacks,...) but with a desktop wallet you can technically install it on an "always offline" system and be the safest possible.
18903  Economy / Speculation / Re: cryptocurrency on: December 03, 2016, 04:09:48 AM
all the suggestions about reading charts and learning about trading are good and they will help you a lot specially if you learn different analysis but you should also remember that bitcoin price is not only changing based on what you speculate scientifically so to speak. but instead it mostly is changing based on news and how things shape up for bitcoin and also based on adoption.
18904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain is dead, longlive Bitcoin on: December 03, 2016, 03:52:18 AM
I have heard a lot less news over the last few months about blockchain this and blockchain that,  for awhile every other day there was some bank or corporation spouting off about how they were using blockchain in some way.

Is it now time for Bitcoin to take centre stage again?

those who are talking about blockchain and was trying to adapt it are still doing it, the only difference is that news sites stopped posting their click bait articles and have moved on to new and different click baits.

besides bitcoin has never left its position to want to come back now. no matter what those corporations say about blockchain alone, they want to make an altcoin, and theirs would also be centralized, unable to compete with bitcoin.
18905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 33000 unconfirmed transactions, OMG!, what happened?? on: December 03, 2016, 03:49:00 AM
this is starting to become a common thing, to see a huge number of unconfirmed transactions in the mempool. a while back this could only happen once or twice a month but now it happens every couple of days.

and interesting enough this new trend started happening the same time segwit signalling started to take place! coincidence?
18906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Guide me How do you guys analyse and pick your picks to bet! on: December 02, 2016, 09:16:29 AM
I have been gambling from the past 3 months and have not made any profit yet just am in neutral no gain no loss. my 50% picks win and 50% lose .
need something which i am missing. which i don't know what am i missing.
Will love to know how you guys analyse a game and bet on it.
Thanks!

you are lucky to even win 50% of the time. because we are talking about gambling and that result is already pretty good. and on top of that when the house edge comes in play your win percentage is going to go down even more in the long run that is why some people go as far as saying you will always lose in the long run.

Hmmm. it looks like there are others who said the same thing before and not got removed though!

maybe the removed topic was automatic and accidental or maybe the topic was praising something about block size that they didn't like Cheesy
18908  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins price bump on: December 02, 2016, 09:00:09 AM
I've been looking and tracking bitcoins price movement for weeks now. There's not doubt that its been bumped. The question is, at what point will they dump? - Are you still willing to invest your money?

pump or not, i have been hearing the same argument for over 2 years now. and i have also been investing money in bitcoin. and in the past year or so price has been going up from $200 and now it is $700+ and i have been making profit.

so yeah i am still willing to invest more and more of my money.
18909  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the most recommanded wallet having fastest confirmation time? on: December 02, 2016, 08:50:31 AM
Sorry to know your inconvenience. Keep a few things in mind and u r good to go from next time...

1. Never consider your fee in USD. Bitcoin is Bitcoin. No USD/JPY/INR/EUR/CNY here.

2. Use a wallet that shows u Tx size before broadcast. I use https://coinb.in.

3. Check the current market rate of block space @ https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx.

4. Pay a competitive fee according to your Tx size and U'll get confirmation within one block.

p.s. If you provide your unconfirmed Tx, I may calculate how much u were supposed to pay.

thanks for that info. i've installed multibit but it seems bad for me since it can work only as hardware wallet
i will try that coinb that you mentioned
cheers

what he forgot to tell you about #4 is how to know how much fee to pay per byte. for that you can see this website which updates based on the current situation: http://bitcoinfees.21.co/

also you can use Electrum which has a dynamic fee calculation which if i am not mistaken takes from the servers and it is based on previous blocks.
18910  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can we create investment group? on: December 02, 2016, 08:43:56 AM
if you can find some others like yourself who are willing to learn and "share ideas" with each other is much better than what you are suggesting. this can be with a friend and about trading, i am already doing this with a close friend and we watch the market and analyze and share speculation with each other and then we invest individually.

you have to know that person and get the same amount that you give and know he is as willing as you.
18911  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC at $1,000 by Christmas? on: December 02, 2016, 08:38:43 AM
i hope so but i also doubt it.
because $1000 is $250 away and that kind of rise in only one month is not possible and it is not even favorable because that kind of rise will be followed by a big dump back to $700. but i think we may see price touching $800 near XMas.
18912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we fasten the transaction of payment in BITCOIN paying high fees? on: December 02, 2016, 08:35:51 AM
It seems that even you pay fees when transacting or sending through blockchain with bitcoin, you still have to wait for a mean time or maybe a long period of time, but there is a free of charge in sending bitcoin and when you look at the blockchain you ride along with another sender/hash that is paying a fee, is it unfair or there is a logically explanation behind it?.

being fair or not is an endless argument without any result.
but it happens because blocks are full and there is only finite number of transactions that can be included in blocks each day so this creates some sort of competition that whoever pays the higher fee has the higher priority because miners prefer earning more at the moment.
18913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin impacts? on: December 01, 2016, 06:45:16 AM
There's no external interference whatsoever when it comes to sending or receiving money, it's fast and transparent and anonymous and also secure at the same time. Earning and spending it easier as it's a hassle free process. It's pioneer in the history of decentralized currencies be it fiat or digital one.
There's none because we are decentralized and not outside parties can interfere our transaction. Unlike transacting in a government regulated online payment processor they can reverse any transaction when proven suspicious or anomalous. With bitcoin, there's no restriction at all and that is the great for all of us.

that is not a restriction, it is a feature and in fact it is a good feature too. we have all seen scammers online and in many cases having the option to do a charge back is good for customers. you should always see things from two point of view (the customer and the merchant) and having that reversal option is favorable for customers in case they encounter any problems with the merchant.
18914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling vs Real Gambling on: December 01, 2016, 06:34:25 AM
For me I Think online gambling is more safe than real life gambling, especially if in your country gambling is illegal, because if you are gambling in real and you get caught by police, jail is waiting for you.
How can you say that online gambling is more than safer than real life gambling? In my country real gambling here in really legal because they have paper to run there business. In online gambling you do not know if you win the big jackpot and they manipulate it or change the rules term and condition then you wil not get what you've won.
In your country gambling is legal means then no issue you can play you will not get any issue in online or real gambling. Because you are just a player not an owner of the casino. If the gambling is legal in the country, then I think for players there is no restrictions are there, But yes the feeling and rules and conditions are different in both real and online gambling.
yeah some country allow online gambling as long as registered under certain institution, but prohibit and consider as illegal action if they gamble in the real casino . means everyone could gamble freely online , but not with real gambling. it seems not fair but you can't do anything as it's government policy , you have to obey on it.
If government will ban online gambling then you should really obey it because if they caught you you will end up jail but there are really ways to play online and its much possible to be accessible online rather than on playing gambling offline. VPN are still there which you could able to play gambling online without being caught by authorities but in offline gambling its not possible.

But you can just simply gamble at your own home because it is your jurisdiction and there is what we called 'privacy' so it depends on you if you will exposed to the people near you and to your government that you are gambling.  But I don't think the government will ban gambling for they are getting big tax from this industry.

gambling is already banned in some countries regardless of taxation or not.
and what you said is already happening in these places and even in countries that have not banned gambling, there are illegal gamblings that happen underground like cockfight for example. and if caught it has consequences.

and as for VPN i have to say it can still be traced but government usually don't care about a single person at home gambling and are not out to get them. there are more important matters to attend to.
18915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you use analysis when play gambling? on: December 01, 2016, 06:28:14 AM
Just want know how much the gamblers who use analysis when play gambling and what kinds of gambling game? And do you think it is needed or not making analysis on gambling game or it is depend on lucky. Thanks for share your opinions and experience.

i believe that you need to use analysis for everything that you do in life so gambling is also a part of it. so it doesn't matter what kind of gambling game you choose you should always stop and think about your strategy and how you are gambling then start with real money.

that way you will have a clear outlook in front of you which you can then follow in order to get less emotional and possibly lose money.
18916  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where Can I invest in Bitcoin Casino? on: December 01, 2016, 06:25:15 AM
Betking would be the most profitable bitcoin casino to invest in right now. Lots of whales and albeit the not very consistent volume still attracts big bets like 200 bitcoins each or even more regularly. Your other options would be crypto games and bitvest.

Don't forget MoneyPot, which allows you to invest in many casinos at once. And you can create your own as well.
I'd "invest" in moneypot's bankroll, as well as crypto-games.net.  Profits seem to be steadily increasing.

It is true that moneypot investments are steadily increasing? As per this thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1585408.msg17025717#msg17025717 Moneypot is not doing good of investor point of view for last few months and investors even discontinued the investment in moneypot. I also withdraw my investment from moneypot and waiting for good time to enter again.

I'm pretty sure like DogeDigital said, it was due to whales getting lucky.  They usually come back to try and take more, and eventually failing and losing all their bitcoins.  It's good to get in when the bankroll is down a little Smiley

that may be but it sure doesn't look like it. because the profit loss for investors has been lasting for a long time. if it was some whales getting lucky, then the investors losses would have been for a very short time like a week tops. but instead this has been going on for at least a month (maybe even more).
18917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now you can have anonymous throwaway virtual VISA cards instantly with Bitcoin on: December 01, 2016, 06:13:27 AM
this doesn't seem to be as anonymous as it shows! because this service is following Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies and as a result is asking its customers for their name, address and phone number and the other type of account with more balance needs photo identification also!
18918  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you do when BTC shoots up? on: December 01, 2016, 06:04:44 AM
It depends on what kind of investor you are.If you like to hold bitcoin then its your decision because most people do hold off their bitcoins is to those person dont really bother to make up some investments or doing trading because they dont like to risk their money to earn money so they decided to better on holding it but there are people really loves to risk.
Yes I never bother about short term bitcoin fluctuations basically when we are targeting very big price levels definitely we will ignore small fluctuations or intermediate targets too.

Honestly I will not sell my bitcoins when it will hit $1000 or even $2000. Because I am waiting for a very big target, you may wonder like what those levels, yes I'm waiting and holding my bitcoins for my retirement life.

short term fluctuations of bitcoin price is actually a good thing for traders. and you can make good amount of profit each day from these changes and sometimes it is even bigger profit like the last weeks when price was changing a lot. of course it would mean spending more time on an exchange and having bots to watch the price go up and down to act on each change accordingly.
18919  Economy / Economics / Re: Jim Rickards: How to make a fortune before 2018 on: December 01, 2016, 05:58:05 AM
He has some of the right ideas, however, as mentioned with a lot of the other comments, not a ton of his predictions have come true based off of what he said in the video.

I think that he does represent the essence of a large amount of concepts that should be followed in any sort of uncommon opportunity, however I would like to see more of what he says, especially from the past, and compare it against what actually happened.

these are all speculations and from what i have seen so far, most of them are usually hypes and they have some kind of hidden agenda.

and if you really think about it, no big player is willing or even care about others enough to reveal their strategies and what they really expect from market to the public so they can make anything out of their speculation!
18920  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2017 Predictions on: December 01, 2016, 05:48:09 AM
Hello,

I have been looking at the price of the Bitcoin and it is obvious that the price keeps on rising. I was wondering what the price of the Bitcoin would be in 2017. If anyone can come up with a estimate..... Or vote in the poll. This is just a topic for debate.

not much left to the new year and if we are talking about the start of the year 2017 i think there may be some small rise because of the new year up to $780 (lower than $800) but in the first half of 2017 we will surely see $820 as the new stable price.
