This coin is a disaster. For the past 30 mins all my rigs have been getting rejected shares.

Sold half of mine.Mining profitability lost to scam before.Right now mining is not profitable.

What do you mean you lost it due to scam? Did you get your account hacked?

IS the coin forked again by mistake this time???

I received my first payout to Bittrex, but the second payout never arrived.

The block explorer is down

Whoa! The first 2 hours have been very profitable. If only this will continue for the next few hours...days.
18987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for a good cryptocurrency to mine on: December 13, 2014, 06:30:29 AM
LOL

You are more than a year too late. You cant make any money with CPU mining anymore.

Yes its still not that profitable. If you have a 270X and get free electricity you make $0.20 per day.
18989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin - First Scrypt N | First Stealth Address - Privacy without mixer on: December 13, 2014, 06:25:05 AM
We are close but I am pretty sure this will be no more profitable then X11 since there are many miners right now.
18990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Neoscrypt hashrate discussion on: December 13, 2014, 05:27:36 AM
Honestly just mine X11. It makes the same amount of profit.
18991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to use Digital Ocean and other VPS to CPU Mine on: December 13, 2014, 05:08:12 AM
Yes you can but you will pay more for the VPS monthly then you will make revenue mining.
 Even with a fast CPU.

Plus most VPS are shared and you cant use 100% CPU usage.
18992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: October 2014. Are GPU rigs useless? on: December 13, 2014, 05:06:57 AM
I guess I'm one of the few who is still profitably mining using GPUs.  My little farm is covering 200% of its electrical costs at $.125 per KW/H as of 11/30 with BTC/USD calculated at $345.  The farm reached full ROI as of about 8 months ago, so anything above cost is a win to me.

No private kernels - everything I've done code-wise is available.  I would not recommend anyone putting one together now though - chances of ROI with a new GPU rig is not looking good.

What are you mining exactly?

Hi,

I have about 48 USB antminer s2's with a 49 powered switch and a raspberry running minepeon. Obviously there is no use in mining Bitcoins with it for a while now.

Apart from selling the hardware, any advice what to mine with them to yield at least some coins (I don't expect profits just not 0.0000000001 a day)

Thanks for taking the time to reply

It is almost christmas, they will do a nice decoration on your christmas tree

jajaj you made me laught Tongue

You should just sell them locally or on eBay. People over pay for these because they want to get into the hobby of mining.

well only if you have lucky you will sell it, you know everything related to buy minning hardware goes in that way, i mean you just wake up one day and check that your mining hardware is just a jalopy in your room.

This is sad, but you know there is no a good end for it, as @adaseb sayd, you can try to sell it, "maybe" there is someone who want to wasted his money for "nothing", just for the fun... who know? Smiley

Yes you would be surprised but there actually are people out there that want to get into the mining game. They don't care if they ever ROI. Just for a hobby.
18995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is this profitable? (DRK/x11) [UPDATED] on: December 12, 2014, 03:09:37 AM
Honestly I don't think you will even make 1 cent mining with that CPU.

Even with GPU mining DRK is not profitable.

Those large transaction are probably webmasters or pool operators who use cold storage.
18997  Economy / Speculation / Re: Imagine the pop when Amazon finally relents... on: December 11, 2014, 02:55:31 PM
I doubt it. Many retailers accept Bitcoin right now and the value is still dropping.

IF anything it will cause BTC to crash because everybody will sell BTC to buy goods on AMAZON

18999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.1 on: December 11, 2014, 02:52:57 PM
Yes i've been using it also but honestly I wish the price of XMR would increase because mining XMR is no different then X11 right now.

This is such a stupid thread. Its like asking if I invested $100 in Microsoft back in 1984 how much money would I have now?

You can't predict which alt coin will go up in value.
