1901  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Blockchain on Online Classes for Computer Studies on: August 28, 2020, 09:53:25 PM
I don't have much idea about sa mga different fields ano but this will fall under lahat sa technology. I guess it is better to have prerequisite subjects, like for example in calculus, you can't take integral pag hindi mo pa natatapos at naipapasa ang differential calculus. Kunyare if a student is really interested in blockchain kailangan may alam muna sya sa internet security, and so on, parang ganon ang naiisip ko para magkaron ng maayos na curriculum for this.
1902  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: DITO stocks - dapat ba mag invest na DITO? on: August 28, 2020, 09:14:45 PM
I'm pretty sure maraming mag iinvest dito at mas lalong dadami once na maganda yung serbisyo nila.
1903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin for sales in a volatile market. on: August 28, 2020, 08:35:25 PM
Your dilemma is the same with all entrepreneurs across the globe. For me, if you are service provider, then billing in btc should not be a problem
Well I think that's the problem coz bitcoin is pretty volatile, billing in bitcoin is difficult and risky for both end parties, especially when the bitcoin price moves high in just an hour after you sent your client a billing notice. Still a NO for me.

For an entrepreneur who sells physical goods, the only way you tend to make headway is if you buy your goods in btc and the price is fixed in btc irrespective of the equivalent in $.
Fixed price with bitcoin? I guess there will be no people that will get interested paying that pricing method. It is better to have  a fixed local currency, and converted into bitcoin than the other way around.
1904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Verifying Provably Fair b.s. on: August 28, 2020, 07:39:06 PM
Gambling results may appear to be bullshit but they are truly what they are most of the time. It may be almost impossible to imagine to lose 28 consecutive hands in a blackjack but it happens. In the same manner that a dice game with 50% winning chance could also give you 30 consecutive losing rolls.
Well talking about probability, yes it could be, you could lose 30 times in a row but I really really doubt that the result will stick to a single outcome like all 50 high for 30 consecutive? It may happen but it is nearly impossible. It is different with blackjack, you can control your card in blackjack wherein if you lose that's all your fault.

It's a good idea to use a third party verifier rather than using an onsite tool that was created by the casino you are checking up on. The whole idea here is to remove the need for you to place your trust into casinos.
This is where you need to rely on the trust rating of the casino, and you should see this with trusted rating website, those who can't be paid as much as possible.
1905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Blown Gambling Facts on: August 28, 2020, 07:02:32 PM
I never know Tesla was that of a gambling addict though we still has to owe him the things we used right now even the telecommunication space and the internet.
What's with him when he gambles? gambling isn't that much of a deal for a normal person but it is for the judgmental society. Why is popular be condemned when people know they are gambling when it has nothing to do with them and the money they use are not stolen.

I think there's still mind blowing facts out there to dig I'll just keep this thread bookmarked. Kudos to OP for this list of facts.
Maybe there are thousands of interesting facts and experiences that we may never get to know because no one talks about it.
1906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legal Matter on: August 28, 2020, 06:17:57 PM
There is money to be made in legalizing online gambling, but remember that physical casinos are one of the main reasons why the United States are frequented by people, especially in Las Vegas, and there's more money in there compared to online gambling.
Gambling is money in all sources. In Las Vegas, there are 200+ casinos that is operating legally, not to include the underground ones so this probably would take up to 250+. From a news that was dated last year, Las Vegas reported to have a revenue of $22 billion, highest so far that they ever made.  Now we can't be sure if physical casinos are more active than online gambling coz we know how hard it is for physical casinos right now to operate because of the pandemic.

1907  Economy / Economics / Re: The pros and cons of going cashless on: August 27, 2020, 09:48:47 PM
The discuss have been on for many years about the possibility of a cashless society. Especially with the current wave of the use of cryptocurrency.

Crypto is not cashless. Crypto is cash. Crypto is the real money not a imaginary money that you have on your creditcard or on your bank account.  Cypto is bringing cash society back.

It depends on what you mean by "crypto is bringing cash society back".
Rightly, I do understand that cash is an integral part of crypto.
you guys are confused on terms between "cash" and "fiat"

Cash on a simple terms is a tangible form of money it may come in a note or in coins. In short this is the physical form of money, while fiat is a established money created by our government, it may come in a form of "cash" or electronic. Anyways these two does not have intrinsic value, and so the cryptos are.

Crypto is the real money not a imaginary money that you have on your creditcard or on your bank account.
What's imaginary is our belief that money has a value.
1908  Economy / Economics / Re: Another company buying bitcoin as capital allocation strategy on: August 27, 2020, 08:40:27 PM
The covid-19 has messed up the global economy resulting inflation in most of the countries. Government can print as much as they want to compensate the situations.
The massive printing of paper notes will hurt its value as a currency, this might be the reason why that company already injected their money in bitcoin coz they see a lot of good things in bitcoin compare to fiat money considering how they think the pandemic will last. I never heard words from this company, it seems new yet old coz they are founded in 2015. It was a good move for me tho.

That leads us to the blockchain industry. I think this is our future. ✌
Blockchain is really the future, future of almost everything, and the pandemic speed it up.
1909  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think SPUTNIK - V Vaccine From Russia is effective and safe? on: August 27, 2020, 08:02:11 PM
Am I the only one that "SPUTNIK" is a bad name to call for a vaccine? It sounds inappropriate to me, I don't know why  lol

Russia cannot escape the skepticism from the world coz they only studied their vaccine in two months from a very limited people of their own country, this may mean that the effects of the vaccine might hit differently towards different races from different parts of the world. Although Putin calls it safe and effective there are still doubts that most of us are having right now. I would be very glad if the advanced trials will be approved. Let's hope for its effectiveness.
1910  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid 19 shows how weak People are in the it mind on: August 27, 2020, 06:58:05 PM
People has the right to complain whenever they see wrong, that how most of the governments in the world are founded.

Complaining with sense is different from merely complaining, complaining with sense considers a lot of factor while merely complaining complains about on what he/she see. But this does not show any weakness from an individual, it may reflect their level of thinking but definitely not a weakness.

You are talking about opportunities? Tell that to poor people if they have one.
1911  Economy / Economics / Re: I have discovered Something about covid 19 on: August 27, 2020, 05:49:24 PM
Although the coronavirus has spread to most of the countries in the world, no drug has been developed to destroy the virus or any antidote to prevent it. If you are infected with coronavirus, it will be a common illness for most people.
This is what I believe to what will mostly to happen with covid-19. This disease will be a common disease in the future even we have a vaccine, it will be added to inject on the babies to help fight from getting the virus. But there are a lot of people especially in the USA, who got a lot of covid cases that does not believe on vaccines lol.

In that case it is possible to cure this disease by resting at home, drinking paracetamol and plenty of water.
The mortality rate is low, you can treat yourself at home obviously.
1912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't wait until I can pay using bitcoin at the supermarket on: August 27, 2020, 05:08:11 PM
That would be a nice thing to happen. But I bet not everybody is waiting for that same thing you are waiting.
Imagine this comes true and no one is even using their bitcoin to buy anything coz they are hesitating because of the price lol

Even me I would think the same way coz it is bitcoin, maybe tomorrow I could buy 2 apples instead of 1.

We are all aware of the huge shift of Bitcoin's treatment from an electronic cash to a speculative asset, from an alternative medium of exchange to an investment, so I guess the majority is waiting for that new ATH more than their favorite supermarket's green light for Bitcoin payment.
I agree, we are just waiting for the price to increase rather than being accepted as payment means. If that comes true, I'll be happy for bitcoin itself attaining that real life usefulness but for my portfolio? it's a no no when it does not hit a new ATH.
Well, as for me, I would gladly welcome either of the two that happens first. Wink
Me too, but it I'll be more happy when it reaches ATH first  Grin
1913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Laws of Bitcoin on: August 27, 2020, 03:17:50 PM
In short just use your common sense in dealing with bitcoin. It would be your fault if you do a mistake with all of the laws, with a decade of bitcoin's existence you should have done your homework regards to it.

1. Never discuss your bitcoin - Of course don't be that fool to become an easy target for anyone.
2. Not your keys, not your bitcoin - Well technically it's yours you are just letting them, a third party service to hold it without your full control.
3. To good to be true - Some of them are true, but most of them are not!
4. your seed, your key - same with physical keys, don't let anybody have it.
5. double or triple check - you know what happens when you got the wrong recipient. When sending funds especially when you are using a browser you could just use the CTRL+F tool so you'll see if you pasted it right.
6. Check links - Never click links that is so suspicious to you or random emails that has been sent to you.
7. Everyone has their opinion - Listen but don't depend on them
8. Invest - this is very self-ware, you should know what you afford.

Common sense is the key!
1914  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Buy and Hold Really the Best Strategy in Crypto? on: August 26, 2020, 07:50:02 PM
Well there are various factors of a successful investment with crypto, first of your target profit let's say 30% or 20%, second is with the coin, is the coin would be volatile enough to pump or dump? is the coin able to give you your target profit? lastly is the time or time range, this is the very vital of the factors that I've said, time will always tell apart from your target and selected coin. let's say to got a target profit with a right coin but you don't know when to sell out or you expected short.
1915  Other / Meta / Re: Report Text Spinners here on: August 26, 2020, 07:04:53 PM
Some text spinners are hard to caught especially when you just look at the keywords of what they posted coz some text spinners have this special feature where they can just change the exact word to its synonym, so you will not know easily that they spin it.

Why is he not banned for that actions? hmmm is that legal?
1916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker Stole 1,000 Traders’ Personal Data From CryptoTrader.Tax on: August 26, 2020, 05:02:57 PM
This was my thought, probably the hacking incident was an inside job. How the hacker(s) know the credential info of that trading account website that easily get rid. I dont know whom or where to trust right now, it seems nowadays hackers and gettings smarter. They will do everything just to earn bucks or thousands of bucks in the evil idea.
Suspecting insider involvement in this hacking case may be an assumption that cannot be justified. There are many ways you can do to find out the credential info for a website. Maybe one of the employees was caught in a trap and then accused or clicked on the trap provided by the hacker to get important information about the CryptoTrader.Tax website. Many methods can be done.
Inside job won't be out for some of us to buy this assumption since the hole was found in that area. And for an employee of a crypto related company should be wary of the whole scheme of traps in the internet, I'm skeptical about the silly situation where an employee accidentally clicked a random link. bruh.

currently there are many cases of hacks that are trending with a variety of new methods. hackers are growing, the level of security must also be developed to ward off and fight hackers.
I agree, along with the improvements of security systems the breaching methods are developing too. This is why I also doubt of crypto adoption as early as a year or two because of this stuff.
1917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale Sold at $12,000 After 2 Years HODLing on: August 26, 2020, 04:18:13 PM
If it's true, then that would be super worth it if s/he bought those on $3k range and sold for todate price. Anyhow seems btc still good at 11kish, so nothing to worry of this dump.
Super worth indeed, if he bought at $3K then he made it around 3x from his capital. The cryptomarket is not that small for a 9k bitcoin dump to impact the bitcoin price that noticeable, I believe when he did that no one even notice it.

I think this whale trusts bitcoin more than any asset, the amount that he hold isn't small, maybe a businessman? hmm
1918  Other / Meta / Re: The moderators are bitches here on: August 25, 2020, 09:23:25 PM
Yeah,I notice his username man. But did not think deeply. Yes, it's about viral that we can see every day in social media that some people want to be viral in the virtual world and they do some unnecessary things so that people start to talk about them.
Exactly,,,Now you understood why he is creating all these topics and if i am not wrong then he is enjoying our presence here. Time to push "ignore" button and let him grow with his abnormal attitude.

Now I wanna suggest to have a unfollow button on the forum where I can just click it when I want to ignore some users here lol

People be drinking their pee to get some attention, have you guys watched a man in youtube cutting his own D to get a million views. He made 10 grand from that video tho, so dope.

wanna go viral? put your picture in your avatar  Grin
1919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: key safety strategies? on: August 25, 2020, 08:23:37 PM
I bought some small thin metal sheets and a punch set from Amazon. Made a couple of copies of my ledger recovery phrase and then split them into 2 pieces which I keep in different locations.
That was pretty creative indeed but splitting it into two, and hiding them from different places is not ideal for me since you got a lot of chance in losing one of them or worst both of them. I'd rather do it on a single metal sheet, leave a blank character which I will memorize for my whole life so if it was found by someone else he cannot access it immediately  Grin

Having the words punched into metal makes me feel a lot safer than having them written on paper!
Safer than writing them on a paper until it gets rusty and you can barely see what you punched in there haha. I hope you did not use an ordinary metal for that, a stainless steel is preferable.

Tax marketing and customer service employee’s account on a support center platform
Sounds more like an inside job as without the proper authorization no one can access the account of an employee or the employee was a dumb.

Other reason can be that CryptoTrader do not have the highest level of security features or firewall activated in their system.

Anyways it is big dent to their reputation and trust.
Normally after the Twitter hack, everyone should check the system and improve its security... I don't think it is an inside job, but incompetence these days may cost companies much Undecided
It makes sense for a company like cryptotrader to check their security after a massive data breaching in twitter had occur however as for what I understand through reading the article there were no trace or evidence that they are breached but someone just saw it on the dark web. Does this mean that the hacker went easily to pass their security level? perhaps an inside job?
