City to rival Barca in Haaland race
Manchester City have emerged as Barcelona's chief rival for the signature of Erling Haaland, reports Sport.

The Spanish outlet claims the Premier League champions will go 'all out' to sign the Borussia Dortmund striker next summer, when his £64million release clause comes into force.

Haaland has been in phenomenal form this season with 19 goals in 16 appearances this season.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-news-live-salah-contract-25777309

Haaland would be a great addition for Barcelona but am not sure if tiki-taka  is his style...

Barça ? I don't think Barcelona are definitely getting involved in a race for Haalanr, because wtf do they want to get the finds from, with a potential semi-huge deal for Ferran Torres (still considering as a rumour though, because there is not been said from either parties invloved.

I think Raiola confirmed that Barca are one of the teams interested in Haaland and this was confirmed by from a credible source. Still it's a race with stiff competition so I am not so much sure if Haaland will move to Barcelona.

Right now Ferran Torres is the one which has been buzzing around. Guardiola earlier confirmed that Ferran wants to leave and they won't be a hurdle and force him to stay so I think it's gonna confirm pretty soon.

Maybe you have mistaken, not 4 but 3 points. whether the city will play like usual using an Impressive scheme. Pep will choose the best player on the front like bruyne and silva for the achievement win 8 games in the row. Leicester may be a bit unlucky because after the city in 48 hours they will play against Liverpool, So for this time the red got lucky in Wednesday if Leicester player has the tired.

I am thinking of Mahrez to start here from the left wing. He is very good in swinging the ball in and Pep Guardiola knows who they are against and they are weak on the left hand side defence. Even Silva would do the work for them.

Btw didn't knew they have Liverpool up next in mid week fixture. Guess 2021 end is not gonna go well for Leicester.

I think manchester city and chelsea will be competing for dusan now, apart from the two clubs are very rich clubs, manchester city and chelsea will certainly be able to guarantee dusan to get the trophy, so far his performance at fiorentina is quite extraordinary and even he has now scored 16 goals from 19 Fiorentina matches in the league, and it is only natural that Fiorentina value Dusan at a high enough price and if indeed Dusan is able to continue to maintain his performance and sharpness of course €200K/week is a decent salary for Dusan.

Not sure about Chelsea but Manchester City will definitely not go for the Fiorentina's star striker this transfer window. Fabrizio Romano yesterday reported that Guardiola confirmed that Man City doesn't have any plans to sign any striker this transfer window. Maybe in future but not now. However Arsenal are head over heels for that striker and also Dusan Vlahovic wants to make summer move. So I would say likely that we won't be seeing any action or move regarding Dusan to other big clubs this transfer window.

If it is said that Aston Villa have been better since Gerrard's arrival, it is too early because the success of Aston Villa has not been that significant.  It is true that the previous match with Norwich they were able to beat their opponent but the consistency was lacking compared to the previous match.  Currently their position is in 10th place in the standings, even last season their final position was 11th so this is still not significantly to say they are better.

Yeah guess now I am thinking it's too early that I said Aston Villa are in great form but hey we have seen surprising sides of Aston Villa haven't we? Recall the time when they thrashed Liverpool with hugs scoreline and that was last season. Watkins performed in that match and we know what good of a striker he is. Also this season they have Ings along with him too who was also high scorer for Saints last season so it's difficult to pull them out of the deck already. It's a tough fixture although yeah Chelsea are the favourites but I don't think it would be easy for the Blues.

Aston Villa are at their best, a draw against Chelsea seems like the best result for them. The joining of Steven Gerrard as coach, so far provides a good game to watch. We know Chelsea are not doing well right now, following some of their injured players. Even so I want an open game from both teams.

Aston Villa are performing great ever since Gerrard arrived and honestly they have some great strikers like Ings and Watkins so it won't be easy for Chelsea. So I am not gonna undermine here and the game could turn towards any of the teams. Chelsea have a drop in their performance ever since their striker became unavailable. They have been playing close matches so it is not sure that Chelsea will win this game definitely.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will save the money from the sale of 21-year-old Spain forward Ferran Torres, who is set to join Barcelona in a deal worth up to £55m, to help finance a summer move for Borussia Dortmund and Norway striker Erling Braut Haaland, 21. This seems like a very good plan for Manchester City but will it work?

Ferran Torres hails from Spain and Barca and him have already agreed on personal terms and also when asked about it from Guardiola he said that he can't stop a player so if he wants to go then he is free to join another team. Also when asked about if they interested in buying a striker then he also indicated that right now they are not interested so it seems like they won't be going on for Haaland. << This was what Fabrizio Romano tweeted couple of days ago.

Although Benzema have been 34 years old and become top scorer half La Liga season I am not sure he has top performance next season and Real Madrid should looking for new player replace him. I think for Pogba is matching player for Madrid midfielder he is completed player as defensive and attacking, he can give more contribution for Madrid if have agreement to get his sign. How ever Madrid not out much money because Pogba as free transfer player and Real Madrid try use their money to buy Haaland from Dortmund after his target Mbappe become free transfer player also.

They have some young player who can take his place like Luka Jovic who had good season on loan to Frankfurt (I guess). He could prove to be a great talent if given chances. Even now he is usually the one who replaces Benzema usually in 75-80 minute. They have lot of talents so I think they can find someone useful in their young talents as well if they don't want to spend money buying players.

Tottenham vs Christal Palace 2-1

Not sure about this one, it's a tough fixture and we can't know for sure if they are back in form once against just because they played draw against Liverpool. Crystal Palace have good attack and have been defending well also so it's a bit tough. Even Crystal Palace can play a surprise so let's not take that off the book as well.

According to Todofichajes, the management of Real Madrid are ready to sign 18-year-old Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz.
According to the source, the footballer will cost the new club 70 million euros. His current contract with "pharmacists" is calculated until 2026.
As part of the current campaign, Florian took part in 15 confrontations, scored 5 goals and made 8 assists.

18 year old and 70 million euros valuation? That's quite heavy given the age. Wirtz is a good talent and certainly will become a good player if given proper time and a good challenge. Still 70 million is a bit too much. This could be a risky buy for whichever team interested. Well great too see a young player getting a giant attention. From player point of view, Wirtz wouldn't have any problem accepting Madrid but I think Madrid might not wanna break 70 million mark for him but well that's what I think.

Newcastle will form the strongest team in the Premier League next year. Before that, they must qualify to play in the Premier League. Newcastle are now the 19th team in Point Oil. There has been no improvement in the team's game yet. No star player and don’t want to come to such a team. What if they fail to qualify for the Premier League? If Haaland moves to Newcastle now and if the Newcastle team does not qualify to play in the Premier League next season, then Haaland will lose 1 year of his career. No intelligent player would take such a risk.

Strongest next year? I have doubts about that. It will take a long time for them to build a squad yet alone become a strong team. Even if they saves themselves from relegation it would be hard to convince star players into the team. Most of the star players lookout for teams in UCL and so and right now Newcastle is nowhere. They can start signing in some potential players but that also wouldn't make them strong team in a snap.

Before Leicester's game against Liverpool for the EFL Cup, I would definitely bet for Man City's easy win with a lot of goals. Now, I'm not saying that Man City will lose but it seems that it won't be so easy to beat Leicester. Of course, the league is something different from the Cup, still, Leicester plays wonderfully and shows that things will and can be better for them.

Yeah there is no doubt about Leicester potential. They can turn the game at any point. They are very unpredictable of thrashing a giant team. Manchester City on other hand are having players on form and with De Bruyne it would be hard for Leicester to hold Man City. It's a tough match but I think City should win this if they play how they have been playing in previous couple of matches.

I see that Manchester City - Leicester game can be another game which is a candidate to be enjoyable. It is most likely to see Manchester City taking full control of the game from the start. Leicester will try to find an opening in Manchester City's defense to score. Maybe they will score one goal too. But I still think that Manchester City will get a comfortable win.
this week's Manchester City vs Leicester duel that seems interesting compared to other matches that is if this match is not postponed like the other matches. Seeing the intense possession playing style that Manchester City are demonstrated it's true they will dominate. it's just that I really want Manchester City to slip in this match, so that the standings become tighter and the title race is getting fiercer.

Yeah Leicester could be hard to handle sometimes. They have good pace in attack and little bit of slip-up can give the advantage they want over their massive opponent. City on other hand are on an impressive form and I think it will be hard to hold and score against City. Leicester at best can score early and keep on defending and force City to share point but a win for Leicester seems hard to me.
1914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 23, 2021, 07:03:41 PM
Leicester City did messed up Last night, Jamie Vardy should have scored an hat-trick in the first half of the game.
Had a beautiful game in the first half, played better than Liverpool, too bad they could not hold up the goals.
The young lads fielded couldn't withstand Leicester City during the first half, good decision making from Jurgen Klopp.
Bringing Diego Jota was the best thing that happened last night.... good comeback from.the red's.

I honestly think Leicester played really well. Yeah they should have taken some chances but still they scored 3 goals early and put the pressure on Liverpool throughout the game unfortunately they were in loose in the end but overall I would say a well fought EFL quarterfinal from Leicester. Doesn't matters if they lost but they really played it well.
1915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 23, 2021, 10:30:04 AM
I saw Leicester being very eager to win against Liverpool last night. They were so close to eliminating Liverpool but couldn't make it. Their performance still showed that we might see a more robust team against Manchester City in their next game in three days. But the game is still going to be played in Etihad Stadium and we know how great Manchester City are in their home games. Therefore, I think that Manchester City will get a decent win.

They almost gave Liverpool a scare there but Liverpool just made it in time and won in the penalties. What a game Keller had there and I honestly wanted Minamino to score there and be the star of the penalty shoot out there but it hit the woodwork but it was well struck. Anyway Liverpool advanced into semifinals and Leicester also played well.
1916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 20, 2021, 04:02:03 PM

The match started equally for both clubs, be it red card or not, they started the same. Also I would not just predict the game just like that, anything can still happen be it red card given or not, but you can conclude that the chances that Liverpool would have won would have been higher than when one of their players got red card.
Tottenham created a lot of chances to score, which they were obliged to implement and win in this match. I believe that this is a great merit of Conte, he very quickly managed to establish a game in the team. A draw is also a good result against such an opponent as Liverpool. Robertson received a red card on the case, it can be clearly seen on the replay. However, this removal did not affect anything, the match turned out to be very good.

Yeah Spurs were good but honestly it was Liverpool without Van Dijk is what allowed Spurs to put much pressure. There were many chances for Spurs but they failed to make most of it and Liverpool took their chance well and but Spurs levelled it right back. Honestly it would have been much more hard for Spurs to score if Van Dijk would have been there. But anyway it was a good and entertaining match.

There is a huge report incoming that dev1ce who made mega move from Astralis to NIP is eyeing out for return to Astralis back again : https://www.hltv.org/news/33001/device-looking-to-return-to-astralis-report . I wonder what is making him move back again? It's not like he is kinda flop there or maybe its some kinda help again to his old team with their performance and retain back their position. Still it wouldn't be same as Magisk and dupreeh has already left the team so not sure its gonna be same legendary Astralis show.

Chelsea players are playing an average game. They should bring some changes in their game plan. Chelsea players are maintaining the dominance and making a lot of attacks in the matches, but their strikers are unable to score the match winning goal.

Actually they don't have any strikers due to COVID illness so yeah scoring was hard for them but still they have been like without strikers in previous 2-3 games but their shots count were still in double digits and not just like near to 10-12...it usually around near 20 but today they weren't able to make it past 10 so clearly they really didn't have any answers against Wolves defense.

Like Cavani, Jesse Linggard will also soon leave United after a few games he was only on the bench and Ralf Rangnick also agreed to this transfer.  There will be many new players in the following season at Man United as a form of improvement in the management of their player team.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10199483/amp/Manchester-United-ready-sell-Jesse-Lingard-10m-pricing-West-Ham-move.html

They aren't utilizing Jesse Lingard anyway. Might as well just allow him to leave Manchester United for another team to utilize his talent properly and give him proper playing minutes as he deserves. We already saw how good he still is when it comes to scoring, he scored lots of goals for West Ham last season. He sure gonna have lot of interested teams ready to make a move on him. United will also have chance to get some funds out of the deal and bring in some players in next transfer window. Still 10m seems like a price tag where United just want to get rid of him.
