1901  Economy / Securities / Re: Red Star Mining [GLBSE] - FPGA company 0.40BTC for 1.0435MH/s@0.0609W to be paid on: May 26, 2012, 06:09:51 PM
I say do it !

The project sounds great and they should beat everything out there currently.

If we get enough interest we could issue enough shares for more than one.  Like I said tho they don't expect them to ship until towards the end of the year but they are planning on having an EU reseller.

What about buying one of yohan's boards the cairnsmore thing ?

Did you consider that variant ?

If we can get the funds while there only £400 and if they can take the new 250MH/s bitstream too yes.

You see the thing with the ModMiner is if the new 250MH/s bitstream uses too much power we can take one of the four Sparten6 modules out of each board and place them in a new backboard.

I have not considered that. You are right !

Have you contacted the bitstream developer elderytyrell and did you get any details about his licensing agreement ?

The FPGA company we are getting the boards off is trying to get a bulk license so it comes free with new boards.  As we purchased our boards before they could get the license we may have to pay a small fee but that should be cheaper than elderytyrell individual prices.

let us sell all shares we have first

The ASIC won't be shipping until towards the end of the year but they should be taking pre-orders in August.  I think it's going to be very difficult to acquire one of these once they go public.  I'll put forward the motion early July.

According to this thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=76351.80 - They are working on a 8GH/s@100W ASIC for under $3,000 and will start taking pre-orders in about two months time.  Shall we issue 1500 shares at 0.40BTC to purchase one.  I think we should what are people views?

If we did this then each share in the company would be worth 2.526315789MH/s@0.052631579W which is a big jump from 1.0435MH/s@0.0609W that is a big jump.  At current difficulty we would be generating ฿42.48 a week a dividend of ฿0.010526316 per share each week.

1911  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: 5BTC bounty for best new website logo. Now a 10BTC bounty!!! on: May 25, 2012, 08:35:18 PM
Hello all
Does anyone know when it ends this topic?

I'll probably leave it for another week.  The bounty will only be paid if the dev chooses your chosen design.  Only one entrant wins and that's only if chosen.

1914  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Other cryptocurrencies / alternatives to Bitcoin: why? on: May 25, 2012, 10:55:11 AM
Litecoin is billed as the silver to bitcoins gold.  It's healthy to have more than one virtual currency.

to be nitpicky, Dollar comes from Thaler comes from the name of a location, Joachimsthal in Bohemia.

A dollar is the same weight as a British Crown (coin) isn't it (a quarter of a sovereign with a sovereign or a £ used to be equal to a Troy pound of sterling silver) ?  Also the British colony's in India also used a dollar too I think.

As under the pre 1918 gold standard about $4=£1

It wasn't actually equal too $4=£1 as the $ was .900 silver and the Crown .925 Stirling.

1918  Economy / Securities / GLBSE listed ltc/btc poker room, sport bookies, casino and lotto. IPO proposal? on: May 23, 2012, 05:26:26 PM
Hi I'm thinking of getting someone to build me a ltc/btc poker room, sport bookies, casino and lotto.  It will also have an embedded ltc miner.  The IPO will be to pay the developer to build, maintain the site and build up a nice lotto Jackpot and money for LTC freerolls at first.  I will save some of the IPO money for advertising.  I can get it developed for $500 and I'd like £1500 for the LTC lotto jackpot.  Is anyone interested in investing in the venture then I'll start getting it developed.  I can pay the dev after its completed so you'll be investing in a ready to go casino, games room, lotto and sports book.  The site will be dual btc/ltc and I would like to get the embedded LTC miner to mine for individual users so they can get free bets just by logging in.   Is there interest in the market for this project?

1920  Bitcoin / Project Development / Wanted: dev(s) in [GLBSE] poker casino and sport bookies get 250BTC from IPO on: May 23, 2012, 04:40:33 PM
Wanted:  Software developer to partner in [GLBSE] poker casino and sport bookies?

Is anyone interested in partnering up with me to develop and maintain it for me.  Once developed and ready I will do a GLBSE IPO and pay you up to 250btc for developing and maintaining the site.  The rest of the privately owned part of the company will be split 50:50 ownership between me and you.  After twelve months is up you will start to receive a salary for maintaining and developing the site as well as receiving dividends from your shares.  I have some ideas on what software to use.  Anyone interested please inbox me.   Wink
