Anyway, lets spice things up for the upper bracket. Im going for 4 way accas for the upper bracket. Taking up some upset like SR to win over Team Spirit and Team Liquid to win 2 maps against Talon which is pretty good in group stage either. As for the other two, going with the favourite to win the game so nothing too wild there
Your multi looks solid for the most part, if there's a team that could ruin your bet it'll probably be Entity because EG went 4-0 against the EU teams (GG and Tundra) during the group stage.

I'm playing it safe with Gladiators and Team Liquid @1.7 since i'm not that confident to include any of the teams that will be playing in the other series. BOL to our bets  Smiley

...
Rip my bet as the Pelicans extend their losing streak, they trail almost the entire game but whenever they close in on the lead the Magic suddenly pulls away.  Tongue

For tomorrow, i'm planning to take GSW ML or the spread, the Blazers could threaten the Warriors but the Warriors won in their last meeting at home and I think we're likely going to see the same result again here as they're the third best home team in the West just behind the Grizzlies.

I'm done filling out the form for round 3.

Aside from the DotA match, the top of the table matchup between Napoli vs Lazio caught my attention and i'm thinking of betting my prediction on Napoli since I was expecting their odds to be more favored than this.  Cheesy

the one that I doubt the most is the question of the last teams from 16-20, no matter how much I analyzed, I doubt that I will get a point here
Mine looks good on paper but I also don't trust it because it looks too perfect and usually I underestimate underdogs in EPL.
1904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 28, 2023, 12:58:25 AM
New Orleans Pelicans - Orlando Magic - New Orleans Pelicans (-4.5) Might become a fast-paced game as both teams are composed of young players. Will be taking the Over 226.5.
I also have the Pelicans -3 but I took a smaller handicap because I think this will be a close win and I doubt they can win by more than double possession after their rocky form on the road.

Magic's road record is 3-2 so far this month so they could still put up a good fight but this should be a win for the Pelicans knowing they're better at home.

1905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hypothetical Question on: February 28, 2023, 12:15:29 AM
If you were told the outcome of a soccer match, hours before the match was scheduled, and you were assured that it would 100% win, how much would you be willing to bet on it? Assuming it was a 100% can’t lose situation.

Assuming you had millions of dollars that you could put on the match, where would you place the bets? Bookies often limit players. How could one successfully place millions of dollars in bets without drawing up suspicions or having their money frozen? Just curious.
If bookies are out of the picture then the next option is to go for betting exchanges because from what I know they don't limit players and the best part is they have better odds than most sportsbooks and possibly higher limits. Then again betting limits could also depend on the standing of the account because there are different factors for knowing the betting limits, if it's verified multiple times then it's less likely for the account to get frozen and IMO the worst thing that could happen in this case is to resettle the bet and change it to void assuming that the bookies would find it out in time.

I think it only becomes an issue for the bookies if you're betting regularly and at the same time winning, but if it's a one time thing then they probably won't mind paying out.

But overall , how did Knights ended up in this Major ? They are simply a TIER 3 team without any doubts and the cheating scandal around them seems to be half true as without vision , this team are looking nothing like pro players and it's a shame that they ended up here without Valve having something to say about this but I'm also sure , we won't see them in any majors after this and I also expect them to slow down the domination in China DPC league.
The same thing can be said for EHOME as I think XG would've performed better if they got the slot. We could still see them in the next major since anything is possible and let's not forget about the new patch coming in after the major which could boost some teams depending on their hero pool and playstyles.  Wink

Funny or not , BetBoom are already out of the Major and let's not forget that they are the main sponsor of the tournament lol  Grin Grin
From what i've heard some of the BetBoom players were sick while playing so that could be one of the potential reasons for them to underperform.

That tiebreaker was unfortunate for Geek Slate and I think they had it coming after not banning Lina twice in a row. I wonder why did they leave her out there, I know that there's a chance for HR to pick another carry but they should've prioritized her at least on the second map. Well played to HR though, I didn't expect them to qualify after their rough start but surprisingly they recovered mid-way through and even came out on top against a decent team like Aster.

Anyone excited to see these two teams fight each other?
Only if it's confirmed as it'll depend on GG and TL since they have the opportunity to choose between the third and fourth-seed teams.
1908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this help you win when you're gambling? on: February 27, 2023, 12:34:20 AM
Does anyone of you thought that playing for fun helps you think better and win with less effort especially in poker than having the mindset of trying to win? Because when you are trying your hard to win, it will make you overthink and that your mental state will get stressed out.
I think this will work for both land base and online casinos.
Going for that less serious approach helps a bit but it's not the best suggestion when it comes to making profits because winning still doesn't happen that often even if you have a fun mindset and at that point, it becomes a bonus given that your main reason for gambling is to have fun and get entertained. There's nothing wrong with trying hard though and you can still avoid stress and other issues that affect your mental health as long as you make the necessary steps and solutions while playing.

What a comeback win from Norrie but at the same time he ruined my prediction.  Tongue

When Alcaraz went up 2-0 in the second set I thought it's already over as the live odds were at 1.08 that time but he couldn't hold on for long and then the same goes for the third set. It sucks that I can't secure all three points but i'll take my first point.  Smiley

My Alcaraz prediction is in a tight spot after he dropped a second set in the semis earlier against Jarry. I'll need a clean 2-0 win from Alcaraz to maintain the draw and I might throw in a bet if the odds are good enough as I don't like my chances on the Chelsea question.

Also, i'm looking forward to that DotA question in the next round.  Cheesy

Must have sucked for them to come into a game knowing that whatever the outcome is, they won't be able to proceed to the next stage. Then again, these teams performed quite poorly and does not really have any more weight in the tournament progression.
They might be eliminated but still, these teams will probably perform as usual and possibly play better since they can still bring down their opponents with them on their way out and that's one of the satisfying things to do when you're on the losing end.

Tundra is also a disappointment, but I guess that remark that they only win because they know how to exploit certain mechanics might be true; in a classic Dota with no cheeky plays available, they struggle in the laning phase and in the mid game which is quite uncharacteristic of a TI champion.
BetBoom looking bad as well, they're one map from elimination and I think they're likely going to end on a draw since Geek Slate looks better so far.
1914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 25, 2023, 01:40:14 AM
Yeah, I still see a lot of my friends betting on this group stages and they're taking advantage of the high odds from the underdog teams which mostly are from the SEA region.
The odds are way too good on SEA teams since they've been underperforming for quite a while but not in this major though.

Geek Slate is doing pretty good and they're just about to beat Team Liquid on the game 1 despite that TL already in favor during the early game. I'm now a skem and kokz fan boy.

LOL! For real, their team is doing it props to the other members too.
I was surprised when they suddenly turned it around as I assumed Team Liquid already got it in the bag since their lead was continuously building up. Geek Slate's lineup reminds me of how Talon dealt with the Lina against Gladiators on the first day. Also, there's BetBoom losing to HR 0-2, it's probably one of the biggest upsets today.

1915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: it will definetly save you on: February 25, 2023, 01:09:14 AM
Why not just go with the flow and let the newbies feel all the related things that they will experience while gambling?

Honestly, it's hard to keep in mind those things and stuff listed.
OP probably wants to help and stop others from learning their lessons the hard way. It serves as a good reminder but I agree even if they read the list, later on, most of them would probably forget it.

And then the second is know when to get up and walk away.  Whether you are up, even or down the ability to walk away is rare when someone is addicted to gambling and if you can't do that you need to get help.
That and the ability to do it consistently since it's easy to do it once but it gets difficult in the long run knowing a lot of people can't control themselves.
1916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you keep your gambling habit under control? on: February 25, 2023, 12:38:39 AM
(share your strategy for others to benefit from)
One of the effective strategies for me is to keep myself busy and I think i've mentioned this in older threads before. In some way, i'd keep myself busy throughout the day and barely have free time for myself so I don't have to think about gambling, or at least cut that free time whenever possible and look for other ways to spend them aside from gambling. If you don't know how then I suggest looking back at the time before you started gambling, you'd probably have an activity or two that you'd spend a lot of time on.

I also do think that even though we share our strategy here, it's not applicable to all of us since we have our own way of dealing with it and we do have different emotions when doing gamble. Maybe just try to always keep in mind that if we gamble too much, the worst-case scenario will be our end.
Then again, there's nothing wrong with sharing strategies since there could be gamblers that are still looking for other solutions.
1917  Economy / Gambling / Re: Recommend your preffered slot games or game provider on: February 25, 2023, 12:05:01 AM
Recently, there was a similar thread in the gambling discussion section that asked for recommendations, and here's mine so I don't have to repeat what I said. I also second Daltonik's recommendation on Rise of Merlin, their stacking free spins can be fun since you can easily hit a full screen wild.

I'd recommend Moon Princess and Grim Muerto both are from Play'n Go, the gameplay of Moon Princess is similar to the Tome of Madness while Grim Muerto's gameplay is similar to the Book of Dead.

If you're interested in trying another provider i'd recommend the games from GameArt like 88Riches, Wild Dolphin and Dragon King these games are tough to win on as most of the time i'd be unlucky and won't win anything but they can be fun if you can get a good session going and trigger the free spins.

Play n Go is also my favorite provider, the reason is simple, while they may not give you the huge wins No Limit City and Pragmatic Play gives you, which by the way are extremely rare in here,at Play n Go you will get the bonus feature of each slot more often than in other providers and they use to create a new slot a week, kinda like Pragmatic Play.
It's the same for me mainly because of the less punishing experience as you tend to get several small wins.

It's hard to make bets on these best of two series'. That's why it's better to bet when the play offs is in and the group stages are done. That's where these teams are getting more serious than the previous matches that they've been.
Or wait until the last day of the groups since that's usually the time when certain teams need to step up as they can be one win or lose away from qualifying or getting eliminated.

Team Knights is still having a tough time getting their first map win and I really want to bet against them but beastcoast will probably settle for a draw once more.

TSM suddenly fell flat and now i'm down 0-2 on my posted bets,  Tongue luckily Team Liquid saved my day after sweeping Entity on their second series. After that 0-4 day on TSM, i'm thinking of taking Execration +1.5 on their next series as they seem overvalued and Execration seems okay even though they only got one map against EHOME.
